After that they passed a few light hearted remarks back and forth, and after passing their various regards then they hung up on each other.
Ricky and Reemo went to the cottage Ray was lending them. When Ray had dropped them off he made a point of telling them to stay out of sight as Silky would undoubtedly be driving round the island trying to find them. Ray handed the keys to the cottage to Ricky and glancing at Reemo could well understand why Ricky had fallen for her, she was charming to speak to as well as being lovely to the eye.
Ricky started chatting to Reemo in the cottage as soon as Ray had left them.
“I wish you’d had the sense to tell me what you were up to when you got rid of Preston. I hope you realize I could have saved us all from being in this mess, and just what part did you play yourself is what I really want to know before I have to hear it from a third party again?”
Reemo felt the tears burning in her eyes. She didn’t want Ricky to know all the sordid details, so she tried to make her answer as tactful as possible.
“The day I went to see Preston in the hotel after conning him into meeting me. I was wearing one of Caroline’s blond wigs and used her name, thinking that if anyone saw me it would be the blond hair that they would remember. Having arranged a meeting with him at the hotel the rest was more straightforward. He met me; I planted a bugging device under the bumper of his Rolls, allowing Caroline to follow me in case Preston took off anywhere unexpected. We then did not have any problem getting him to Caroline’s place where he went like a lamb to the slaughter, Caroline was right behind me and I know you can guess the rest for yourself!”
Ricky did not push the issue, he did not really want to know the exact details as he had enough of an idea of what happened and did not wish to dwell on it for any length of time, due to the fact that it would not change anything to bring it all back into Reemo’s mind.
By this time they had gone into the lounge Ricky had sat down and pulled Reemo onto his lap, as Ricky spoke to Reemo he wondered what was going to happen next.
“OK, I think it is best if we leave it at that, I can understand why you did it, I don’t need to know all the ins and outs, I love you a bit more than to do that to you, just remember to let me know what is going on in the future as I don’t want any more shocks!”
Reemo’s head fell onto his shoulder as she allowed the tears to flood out of her eyes, there were no words that could explain the relief that she felt at hearing Ricky’s words. She had known that he thought a lot of her but found it hard to accept that their feeling were mutual. She had a job to get the words out as she replied to what he had said.
“I’m sorry Ricky; I didn’t want to cause any trouble. I did not have any way of knowing who Preston’s connections were. I needed to see him die for what he had done; I had to be there to make sure he knew why he was being killed. The worst thing was, loving you and having to deceive you in order to dispose of that revolting man. That is what cut me up inside, but you see something inside just kept driving me and I knew I had to see it through.”
Ricky affectionately kissed her on the nose, letting her know that the whole incident was best forgotten about and putting the past were it belonged. She felt a strong desire to make love to Ricky and she could feel that he felt the same. Reemo always found that making love to this incredible sensitive man could release all her tensions and would leave her feeling whole.
When everyone had left Brialdigc Zaneen closed the door and returned to Paul in the kitchen, speaking to him with a quizzical expression on her face.
“Tell me Paul do you know who Ray was going to contact that could possibly have any influence with the Mafia?”
“Really, Zaneen, what make you think I might know?”
Paul had replied, and felt sure that he did know the answer as she spoke; he noted how intensively her sage eyes watch him as he spoke.
“To start with you are the only one present who didn’t show any surprise when Ray told you what he was going to do, plus the look on your face at that moment makes me feel sure that you know a dammed sight more about Rays affairs than you have ever let on.”
Paul burst into laughter it amused him that Zaneen could read him like a book, he never had been able to successfully lie to her, it was amazing to him that she could do so with such ease by just studying his face.
“Well, my love, as you have already gathered by who Ray contacted, I do know that Ray would rather fill you in with everything himself. Don’t you think you should really give him the chance to do so, after all there were quite a few of us present today and I should imagine that is why he did not say anything then, agreed?”
Zaneen agreed with him and said she’d ask Ray when she saw him, but she did state that it would not hurt Paul to let her in on what was going on as he knew she was naturally nosy, like all women she could not stand waiting when it came to the crunch.
Paul decided it was a good idea to take her mind off the subject as he picked her up and carried her into the bedroom, dropping her on the bed and sitting down beside her. He informed her that Ray was his natural blood father, but as his mother died giving birth to him he had kept her surname. He added that she could wait for Ray to fill her in on any other details, but at least she knew now why they were so close.
Zaneen was not surprised by what Paul had told her, she has always known deep down that there was some underlying reason other than Ray just liking them as a couple or he would never have put himself out the way that he had and did, she had often wondered about this but had never quite put her finger on it, although now looking back on it she had often thought how much alike they were in looks as well as in their ways.. Now she knew and it explained why Paul had been so well informed about what she had been up to when they were living together and for that matter all the while they had been apart.
Zaneen picked up the soda siphon from the bedside table as if she was going to pour herself a drink; instead she turned and sprayed it all over Paul’s relaxed body. He grabbed it off her and soaked her top with it, as she jumped off the bed he noticed her nipples standing out clearly through the white lace blouse she was wearing.
Paul chased her around the room and she darted through the veranda type doors that led from the bedroom into the indoor solarium that they had designed together. She dived into the heated swimming pool before Paul could catch her, he threw off his clothes which landed on a nearby sun bed and dived in to join her.
Zaneen swam around him, daring him to catch her, knowing that her outfit was completely see-through in the water and she was deliberately not wearing any underwear in order to tantalise him, remembering the many times before that she had teased him that way, especially when he had been having a huff over something that she considered trivial, in the knowledge that he could never resist her.
When Paul did manage to catch hold of her he drew her close to him, feeling the warmth of her body against him as he kissed her intimately and very gently on the neck and then on the lips. She could feel a tingling sensation going right through her right down to the tips of her toes on the bottom of the pool.
Zaneen felt a hot flush to her cheeks as he raised up her skirt and placed his hands on the cheeks of her rump and pulled her to him, she swung her legs around his middle and crossed them behind his back sliding down to brush her very wet pussy against his throbbing very erect member, she entwined her arms around his neck as he griped her hips and guided her onto his hard member gently.
Zaneen laughed openly as she listened to the sound of gurgling that the water made as she helped him thrust his member in and out of her fiery pussy, the slurping echo of their wet flesh as they were slapping their intimate parts together in the water was something that always excited her and tickled her fancy greatly and sex with Paul was always so much fun and better than it ever was with anyone else.
Paul could no longer resist or control his male urges any longer as he felt Zaneen’s inner muscles clench around his member and her secretions burnt int
o him and he started to come, she was digging her nails into his back to encourage him to thrust harder. He moved rapidly within her , as he came he could feel her insides quiver spasmodically in time with his release and the vice like suction around his member squeezed and sucked up every last sperm from within him. They climaxed together as only two people who are truly in love can.
Zaneen could not remember losing control and digging her nails too hard into Paul’s back to cause the bloody scratches, but then Paul was the only man who got her that hot and excited.
9 LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT.
Colt arrived as Zaneen was putting antiseptic cream on Pauls back. Ray smiled as he walked in the door and Zaneen could feel her embarrassment rising as he spoke she could feel her cheek’s flushing.
“I could ask, what happened here then? But I can guess.”
Paul’s eyes sparkled in a mischievous fashion and there was laughter in his voice as he replied to Ray.
“Oh, nothing much … it was just Zaneen getting over excited again, I think she may have forgotten what a real man felt like until she was back with me.”
With that Zaneen squirted the tube in her hand and it went all over Paul’s shoulders. Before she could move out of the way he pulled her around to him and onto his lap.
She could feel her face colouring as he told Ray how she could not resist his masculine body. Ray cackled, stating that he had known that a long time ago, he had just been amazed at the length of time they had stayed apart. Paul looked at Ray as he spoke with a smile on his face.
“Having enlightened Zaneen as to our true blood relationship I think she is waiting to be filled in on the other information and as I said that you would enlighten her on that in your own time and in your own way.”
Ray explained to Zaneen what his position was and the reason that he had not told her before was that Andrew Fletcher was a member of the Godmother Lora Preston’s family, so he had had to wait for her to go back to Paul and join his family properly before doing so, which he knew that in the fullness of time she would.
Zaneen’s face showed no sign of surprise as she spoke to Ray.
“Yes, I see, the position you were in, though you would have been quite safe to have told me a long time ago, I might have been of some assistance to you, at least I now know why you were so keen for me to get back with Paul, but I hope you realize that I would never have knowingly done anything to harm you or any of our friends. As things stood I could well have done a great deal and caused you untold trouble without intending to, just look at the mess poor Reemo has got Ricky into because she did not have all the facts of what was actually going on. If that could happen to her on just one incident I dread to think what I might have done. I hope you follow my meaning, of course Ray I do find it distasteful that you didn’t trust me enough, although I can’t blame you, and I would have probably done the same thing as you have personally.”
Ray looked at her as he talked and she found his look somewhat disconcerting along with what he was saying.
“It’s not that I didn’t trust you Zaneen, it’s that had I told you …you would have been put in some very difficult situations, and I didn’t consider that being very fair on you. Now we have covered that subject, I think it would be a good idea if we moved on to something a little more light-hearted. With you both having wasted so much time getting back together I was just wondering if you’d thought about how long you will be leaving it before I get to hear the sound of tiny feet. The fact is, I wouldn’t mind having grandchildren to spoil.”
Paul glanced at Zaneen wanting to see her reaction to Ray’s question before speaking, knowing that this was a subject Zaneen had never brought up since they had got back together . Thinking it would probably have been best to get the ring on her finger first, as then he believed he would have been in a much better position to swing things towards his way of thinking.
“That is a subject we have not yet discussed since our reunion Ray but I would personally like a family at some point in the future, though this is something Zaneen and I would have to agree upon first. I don’t think there is much point in doing that until we have been married for a while at least.”
Zaneen knew that they were both waiting for her to pass comment and she obviously had to say something on the subject.
“I’ve always wanted children with you Paul but it never seemed to be the right time. I defiantly have never wanted to have anyone else’s babies, and I am not sure yet when the right time will be, I would also like to wait until we have had some time to ourselves first and are properly settle. It hasn’t been the most appealing thought to have to share you Paul, not with anyone at any time, we have been apart for rather a long time and I feel entitled to have some alone time with you so we can enjoy each other fully before taking on the responsibility of our future children’s lives.”
Ray doubted that Zaneen would ever think it was the right time to have children, but did not bother to say anything further on the subject realizing that Paul must have some sort of plan in mind and wanted Zaneen to marry him first.
Ray went off into the kitchen thinking that a cup of tea would not go a-miss, as soon as he had left the room Paul started speaking to Zaneen in a quiet voice, he knew that if he did not keep her thinking sweetly of him that he would never get her to the registrar on the Monday morning let alone talk her into having any children.
“Look Zaneen I don’t wish to push you into having children, although I do know you want them by the way you behave when you come into contact with them or for that matter pregnant women. What I would like to know is what is really bothering you, if there is some other reason I would like to know about it. Even if we never had any children I would still love and want to be with you, and whatever problems there may be we can always sort those out along the way.”
Zaneen wondered how Paul would feel if she told him the real reason, and decided she would be better off telling him before they married or he might feel cheated when he found out which he undoubtedly would at some point.
“If you think back Paul after you left me I had a crash in the car, nine days after to be exact.”
Ricky had been with Paul that week and Paul remembered wanting to go and see her at the hospital; instead he had gone out and got steaming drunk just to stop himself.
“Yes I remember.” Paul answered wishing he had gone to see her instead of getting drunk.”
“Well, the day we parted I’d found out I was carrying your child, I was going to tell you when you started giving your ultimatums and I just couldn’t. You see I didn’t want you to stay with me for the wrong reasons. I had a miscarriage through the crash and the Doctors said I might never be able to carry a baby without having a miscarriage in the early stages of pregnancy. I do not really feel like talking about it though, so do you think we could drop the subject and just see how things go.”
Paul had known that there was some reason for Zaneen’s attitude when the subject was brought up, and felt awful that he had let her down at a time she would have most need him, and felt grief for the loss of his baby through the crash, if only he had known he would never have left in the first place. By this point in time they could have been settled with a family, if only he had not rushed his fences and stayed patient.
“I’m not sure what to say Zaneen, it is a shame that we can’t turn back the clock, still we will sort things out as we go, just wish you had told me as it was my baby to.”
At that point Ray arrived back with a pot of tea sensing something had been going on by the silence when he entered the lounge. They had their tea whilst making polite conversation and then Paul went out to the driveway to see Ray off; telling Ray what Zaneen had said in order to stop Ray from bringing the subject up again and upset Zaneen.
Ray went over to see Ricky on the way home and he had hardly got through the door of the cottage when Ricky asked him who he had contacted and whether or not he had managed to sort anything out. Ray wondered what had been going on whe
n he noticed Reemo’s swollen red eyes, she had obviously been crying and he could not think why; he studied their behaviour towards each other as he answered Ricky.
“Oh, I have everything under control at the moment and as to who I associate with really has nothing to do with you; if I think it is necessary for you to know I will tell you when the time is right. What is the matter Reemo, you look as though you’ve been sobbing your eyes out, is there anything I can do to help you out?”
Reemo tried to think of the best way to answer his question without looking a complete fool, yet still had difficulty wording her reply.
“It is just me being over emotional Ray, I feel bad about causing so much trouble for everyone, and I have been trying to contact Caroline Swan and I just know something must have happened to her. First of all I kept getting no reply from her number, and then constantly engaged before someone answered and refused to tell me who he was, demanding to know who I was in a very official manner. I didn’t recognize the voice so I put the telephone down on him straight away. I wanted to find Silky and see if I could sort anything out without involving anyone else; I thought it might be possible to put a stop to the situation. Ricky wouldn’t let me go, and I feel useless hanging about here and powerless to do anything useful.”
Ray agreed that there was a good chance that Caroline was in danger, but he didn’t see that Reemo could do more, she had either gone into hiding or it was too late to help her already. Reemo burst into tears but managed to keep it semi under control, Ray was not in the least surprised when Ricky told him that she suffered badly with claustrophobia so he was in the picture of what was wrong with her.
The remainder of the day past without any major problems, but unfortunately the Sunday tabloids had the gruesome details of Caroline Swans murder. Reemo was hysterical when Ray broke the news to her. Ricky’s face turned ashen as the realization of what they were caught up in hit him.
