Pinned between them, she felt a sharp stab of welcome pleasure-pain as first Grish and then Borth plunged within her sex. Her pussy was swollen and extra flexible as before, taking both males with only the slight burn of discomfort that gave way to intense pleasure as their bodies rocked against each other. The fire climbed through her, the bodies of her mates pressing against her feeling like infernos as they all succumbed to the intense consuming fires of their mating.
When at last their flames erupted, joining them together forever, they collapsed on the bed, bodies damp with perspiration and breaths ragged. She smiled when her males cuddled close to her. As they lay there, Borth’s voice rumbled against her ear where it was resting against his chest.
“I was thinking… It will take time before our farm is ready for us to return and seed it. It may be a good idea to hire a manager to see to it and watch over the crops for a short time… perhaps half a year, or a full year if necessary.”
Crystal glanced up as she felt Grish’s responding smile where his mouth was still pressed against her shoulder.
“For what?”
Her male gave her a crafty look, grinning. “I was just thinking that I might like to get my leg fixed and see about taking care of a small detail.”
Her brows knit in confusion even as a flicker of excitement lit through her. It sounded almost like he had some sort of adventure in mind before they returned to settle down on their little farm.
“What do you have in mind?” she asked.
“That the Lorgor are right that you may be able to help find this Robby male,” he answered, his eyes gleaming down at her.
Her lips split into a wide smile as she leaned more comfortably in their embrace.
“A little payback sounds good,” she said on a laugh, surrounded in the comfort and supporting love of her males. It was about time to take ahold of her future.
Epilogue 2
Robby Dennison pulled his hood up higher over his head. The space station was crowded, but it was better than being planet-bound. From the space station, he could go anywhere. Plus there were a lot of opportunities for someone of his particular… talents.
Things had relaxed recently when he heard that the Lorgor resistance captured an Imperial flagship. It hadn’t taken him much digging to discover it was the same ship he’d stolen the codex from. He grinned to himself and patted his pocket.
Amazing what one small chip could have on it—a tiny chip that the prince wasn’t even supposed to have in his custody. It had been smuggled onto the ship by a Lorgor rebel. It contained all the flight routes, as well as the known and unknown outposts of the Calystii Empire. The rebel had risked his life to transport it from Caysa.
Some males were fools to put their necks on the line.
When Robby had been hired by the resistance, the male’s cover had already been blown, and he had no doubt been caught and executed after the ugly alien handed it over into his care. Robby had been contracted to meet the resistance, but he had second thoughts.
Why hand it over when he could sell it for infinitely more to a private buyer?
It was bound to be worth a lot of credits, and now that the prince was seized and had been executed by the resistance for crimes against the Lorgor people, the secret of what he had stolen went with him.
The only thing that had helped Robby evade capture for so long was the fact that the spoiled prince was terrified of telling his family of what had been smuggled and stolen. Gossip among Lorgors on leave from the flagship said that the prince had been determined to retrieve it himself. He had done Robby a favor. Of course, it helped that Robby had thrown Crystal into their path by leaving a false trail back to their apartment.
It was a shame about that, but he had a feeling she was getting ready to dump his ass anyway, and he needed to keep the Calystii distracted.
As far as he could tell, it had done a good enough job. The prince had even put out the bounties with his own money without the knowledge and consent of the Imperial family as he divided his attention in multiple directions trying to track them. Although Robby heard rumors that Crystal had made it off the planet, he wasn’t sure how long she made it, or if she was even still alive.
It wasn’t his problem, of course, and now the prince was dead for his trouble, and Robby was in the clear.
Grinning to himself, he almost had a bounce in his step, his eyes scanning for the place that he had arranged to meet his buyer. He had been clever, targeting his buyer, and now he was finally getting the huge payday and everything that was owed to him for all the hassle he had gone through over the years.
His eyes lit up as he arrived at his destination.
Ninawellas flashed with prisms of surging lights, teasing his senses along with the intoxicating scent of liquor and spice. Spice was fine, but not quite what he enjoyed indulging in. But where there was spice, one could find a wealth of more entertaining substances.
But first, his client.
His eyes trailed through the place until they landed on a male matching the description he was looking for. The Teril was huge, clearly not of a distinguished house or part of the Fleet, with that artificial leg. It was a quality prosthetic, however, which told him that the male had money. Everything about him stated that he was the well-paid bounty hunter that Robby was told that he would be meeting to make the exchange.
His palms dampened slightly with nerves. It was a tingle of intimidation as he drew closer to the enormous male, and excitement strumming through his system, perhaps sharpened by the remaining traces of uvoli—more potent than any crack found on Earth—rushing through his veins.
The male’s creepy reddish eyes narrowed on him, but the male didn’t speak. Instead, he jerked his head, indicating that he should follow him to the back room. Exactly as he expected. This wasn’t his first time running illegal goods for aliens since his escape into space, and the rote familiarity sang in his blood with a building thrill.
Ducking into the darkened room, he paused with uncertainty when a light flared, illuminating part of the room. He faltered at the second enormous form of a hooded Teril waiting in the room, distinct by his size and the huge tail jutting stiffly from beneath the robes.
Robby cleared his throat as he began to creep back toward the door.
“I think there’s been a mistake,” he whispered.
The Teril who had met him grinned humorlessly, eyes glinting with a hidden fire in their depths.
“No mistake except your own,” he rumbled with menace.
Robby’s pulse pounded, his heart pinching as if it were about to burst from his chest.
“What’s wrong, Robby?” a familiar feminine voice murmured.
A smaller hooded figure pushed out from behind the second male, and a pair of human hands lifted to tug back the hood. Relief punched him in the gut, and his breath whooshed out of him in a shaky laugh.
Crystal, however, wasn’t smiling except for the tiniest tilt at one corner of her mouth.
“Crystal—fuck—you scared the shit out of me! You don’t know how happy I am to see you alive.”
A dark eyebrow raised.
“Why is that? Oh, I know. It’s because you led them to my door and left me to take the fall for your stupidity. Right?”
“It wasn’t personal, sweetheart. Just business.”
“Just business. Funny that you’re not the first person to say that to me lately. But I do understand, and that’s why I know you will appreciate the irony of your situation. It seems you’ve been a very, very bad boy running off with something that the Lorgor paid you a lot of credits to retrieve and transport for them.”
He paled, a cold sweat breaking out over his body.
“What are you saying…?”
“Nothing at all. Just that I believe you have some unfinished business,” she said, her lips finally parting in a smile as she turned and waved forward someone he hadn’t seen in the darker shadows at the rear of the room.
Robby felt faint as an eno
rmous Lorgor strode toward him, violet eyes blazing down at him coldly and without sympathy. Robby turned a beseeching look to Crystal.
“Crystal, please. Don’t do this. You don’t know what the rebellion might do to me. You can’t just let them have me!”
Her lips pursed and the two Teril males flanking her growled at him in obvious threat.
“Sorry, Robby. But as you say… it is just business.”
