Chaos Legion : Recognizing The Beast

The ride home was gruesome as I sat next to him hearing his growl reverberate underneath me. What was he so angry about? I wanted answers.

His garage door was empty as we approached, and some lady was smoking a cigarette as Drew tensed up. I looked over my shoulder to see that no one was outside to help me at home. I'm screwed.

“Is this the new bitch?” she asked, twirling my hair on her fingers. “She's a virgin, but beautiful. I want to see you screw with her.”

Drew's mouth flew open as if to protest but then he sighed as he looked back at me. As we all sat in the garage, the woman pulled the door down. “Now you guys have some privacy. Bang her or I'll hurt you both.” It seemed like the woman was going to be persistent.

Pissed, Drew kicked me as I nearly crashed into the wall. Before I even moved Drew had me cornered as he tied my hands above my head as he hung the rope on the ceiling, leaving my feet to barely touch the ground. The female looked interested. “Good start. Now fuck her.” Drew sighed, and I swear I could see a tear coming down as he sucked in a breath.

Quickly, Drew's lips descended on my mouth as his hands lingered on my hips. My mind nearly left me as I rolled in the pleasure even though at the same time I feared it. I cried silently as I began to open my eyes. The woman was gone. Then how come he's still going?

Pressed into me, his hands unfastened my shirt as he slipped his hands behind my back. He ran his tongue over me and I nearly screamed. “STOP,” I yelled. “Drew!” Attempting to kick him, he swept my feet from underneath me. Now I began to sob as he began to taste my lips again. The taste of my tears made him look up at me, and then he looked around himself. He seemed puzzled.

“What happened?” he asked. I began to cry harder, as there was nothing he could do to stop it. There was somebody banging on the door and I heard my dad's voice. “Drew, open up. My daughter better be okay,” dad said. Drew began to panic as he undid the ropes he made. “Button yourself up,” he whispered. “Don't say anything. I'll distract him for a moment so you can compose yourself.”

With trembling fingers I buttoned myself up. Then I looked in the mirror and saw bite marks before I fastened the last buttons. I sighed. How could I cover this up? I couldn't, which means Drew would have to play his card and hope it works.

At the door, Dad looked at me with worried eyes. “I heard you scream. Are you okay?” he asked. Quietly, I nodded as Drew noticed that I wasn't going to speak. “I'm sorry sir, I'm truly sorry. I was forced to kiss your daughter. Didn't screw her, just kissed her and there might be a few bite marks somewhere,” Drew said, looking me over thoroughly. He didn't see any, but I knew exactly where they were.

“Next time, if you plan to do anything don't do it next door when she'll scream. Next time I'll be coming for you,” dad said as he bared his teeth. Running into his arms, my dad embraced me with a hug. “Let's go Hun.”

At that moment, Drew just stared in silence as we left. The look on his face was priceless as he knew what he had done. I never felt so scared in my life. Knowing that, I knew I wouldn't approach him ever again.

In the midst of my thoughts, my dad had his arm wrapped around me as I leaned into him for protection. “What happened in there?” he asked. “Abuse,” I said as I shook my head, about ready to cry into his shoulder. “I never want to experience that again.” So he took in a deep sigh, debating on whether to hurt the boy or not.

“I guess when his parents get back from vacation tomorrow we're going to have a little chit-chat,” dad said. Well, I didn't know his parents were out of town. I had thought maybe they worked away from home.

“Okay,” I said as he rubbed my back. Mom was in the kitchen making dinner as we walked in. When she looked at me she seemed to notice something wasn't right.

“What happened?” she asked, finalizing her preparations by throwing the vegetables int the pot. Once she had finished she looked straight at me. “Drew abused me physically and mentally,” I answered, shaking my head. “I don't think I'l ever date anyone. It's like a nightmare.”

Leaving the room to avoid further questions, I ran into my bedroom. Once I had shut my door, my mom stared at dad.

“Markus, do you know what's going on?” she asked. Dad turned around, eyeing her keenly. “I heard her screaming for Drew to stop, so I thought he was fucking her. But I guess I came in before it happened,” Markus said with a shrug. “She's quite shaken up by it. I would leave her alone for a few days.” So mom nodded, even thought staying out of her daughter's business did make her feel uneasy. “Okay hun,” she said as she gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Just watch her for me.”

Without Jada knowing, Markus could hear her thoughts with his telepathic abilities. He didn't want to use it on his daughter, because he never felt a need to. But now since things had become worrisome, he was going to get involved as much as he could.

  ~ CHAOS LEGION~

“Why did you call me?” Viper asked, curious. Gage was thinking very hard, ignoring his question for a moment. Janette was going through his mind like a broken record, and he knew she had his kid. He'd just have to find him/her.

“I want you to do me a favor,” Gage said, tapping his fingers. Viper nodded hesitantly, wondering what it was. Since Gage had gone crazy due to his heretic thoughts, everyone knew it wasn't good to be around him. The legion technically broke apart because of it, but Viper was still loyal.

“I'm going to send you to the angelic demon dimension for a while. I want you to observe Janette's kids,” Gage said, watching Viper's expression become unmoving.

“Mmm, okay,” Viper said, trying to understand where Gage was coming from. I'd want to find my child too if the mother took it away. So he sighed, but he smiled at Gage. Then Gage grinned and shot the portal door open. “Tell me what you find out,” he said as Viper left.

Wrestling had been a bore for the first match as I didn't do much but cheer the team on. Later on this afternoon though I would be having my first match with someone that was from a faraway school. Currently the woman has been undefeated, and I was hoping to take out her record today. It was my main motivation to get through the school day ahead of me.

English class was hilarious as I walked in. Everyone was pounding on their desk and yelling “STEELMEN!” It made me smile widely as I went to go take a seat even though I knew Drew was staring from the back of the classroom. Ignoring his deeply concerned eyes, I was enjoying myself for once today.

Right when school ended, Emily high-fived me in the hallway. “Good luck,” she said as she passed me by with her clique. They all looked like they were in a jovial mood as well as I bared a grin.

In the gym, coach was waiting for me with one of the wrestlers. They were going to prepare me for my match later.

“All right you two, I'll be watching. Start,” the coach said as the wrestler turned towards me. He lunged first, and I slid from underneath him. I kept my body steady as he went straight for a takedown. But I twirled away as I locked my arms under his forearm, dragging him onto the ground underneath me. It took me a few seconds to secure my hold on him. “One, two three,” the others yelled as they entered the room. The coach began to laugh. “All right. Get up,” he said. So I got up and the guy smiled at me as I looked at him. Something tells me he likes being pinned to the floor.

“Good job,” he said grimacing as he was inches away from my face. I looked behind him, noticing a few students rolling in. Drew was giving his death glare, and the guy seemed to notice my frustration. He had touched me and I didn't notice anything until I felt a pair of lips peck mine. It looked like Drew wanted to kill him, but his girlfriend pulled him away before anything could happen. Ah well, I probably shouldn't bother with him anyway.

Otherwise, the opposing team had just arrived. They all looked nervous as the witches were staring at them. The only one focused was the girl as her eyes were focused on me. I'll
definitely have to watch myself around her.

“Hi there,” the coach said, shaking hands with our coach. “I'm the new coach, Posedon is what they call me.” Nodding, our coach broke his hand away.

“Coach Lansington,” the coach formally said. “Maybe the best team win.” That comment got him grinning, and his eyes wandered around until they focus on me. He seemed fixated on me, and it didn't make me feel comfortable.

“I'll introduce my team. You introduce yours,” Posedon said, rattling off names. The only thing I figured out is that my opponent's name was Natalie Bloodworth. Then our coach said our names and once he heard mine he grinned even louder. I guess he wanted to know who I was, because it seems like I matched up to what he wanted me to be.

The first matches were for the guys as mine was set to be last for the day. Then tomorrow the others would be here to finish up their rounds. I asked the instructor if it was mandatory to be here tomorrow, and he said yes. It made me feel uneasy as their coach was fixed on my every movement. Does he even know me?

The first thing that happened was her going in for a headlock. It wasn't a very good one, as I found a way out. One point, then forced back into starting position. Her grabs were too direct as I held her arm lightly and sent her down to the ground kneeling. So then I put myself into position to hold her down. She scowled at me because I had her legs pinned. “One, two, three!” Then I let go as I felt a slap across the face. Her coach was laughing at it. Isn't that an illegal move?

Walking away, I held my face where it stung as my dad watched it all unfold. His face was a clear mix up of emotions as he was happy for me, but at the same time he didn't like the poor sportsmanship the girl had showed. He was the first one to congratulate me as his eyes were fixated on something behind me. My guess was that it was their coach that had been staring at me the whole time.

“Congrats,” Posedon said to coach, shaking his hand. Then he came toward me with a smile. “Great job,” he said as he gave me a pat on the back. His touch sent blood rushing to my head as I felt a jolt. It made me turn around as I watched him for a second. He's not normal. And I hope those people knew it.

My eyes started to twitch from the weird sensation I got as I stood there. It almost had me wanting to take a shower to take off the icky feeling as I held myself. Drew had walked up behind me, and he had raised a brow in question.

“Something wrong?” Drew asked as he glanced my way. “Nope,” I said as I tried to warm myself up. “Cold.” Hearing that, he gave me another good stare and peeled off his jacket.

“Take it,” he said and threw the hood over my head. He started his hug from behind, forcing my arms into the jacket. I felt his body flex behind mine and I instantly blushed. My mind went astray as he was now zipping up the jacket, noticing my fuzzy expression. A little twinkle was in his eye as he smiled at me. “Better?” I nodded, as I was hugging the jacket. His scent was all over it, and it was driving me nuts.

The witches looked like they were pissed after they saw what Drew was doing. It seemed like they wanted to kill me now, but their eyes also watched the jocks and Drew. Knowing that I'd have to watch my step, I knew I'd have to be more cautious.

Next day, I spend my time watching the other wrestlers on the bleachers. In the middle of the match, one of their players said to me that my coach wanted to see me. Since I didn't see him in the room, I decided to follow their lead.

SLAM! I was pushed to the floor and two athletes pinned me to the ground as they tied me up. I glared at the men as they kept pushing me to walk.

Everyone was in the gym, so I knew there was no way of avoiding them. Maybe the witches had something to do with it, or maybe not. My pulse thundered as I felt the cool air from outside, and the second I blinked I was in the back of a van. A familiar face haunted me. Coach Posedon.

He started the vehicle and took off, leaving his players behind at the school. The thought of him and I alone creeped me out. What does he want?

After a while, he cut the engine and rose out of his seat. I lifted my head up to look out the window. We're on the highway, this guy has to be nuts.

“Already met your sisters and quite dolls they are,” he said and chuckled. “But you seem way different, which I hoped to expect.” He bent over and touched my face, my pulse quickening as he did. I sucked in a hard breath. “Gage was right.”

I narrowed my eyes in confusion as I stared at him. “Who?” I asked, shivering at the thought. He smiled even wider. “Your other dad hun,” he said. “Your father must have fuckered her while you were still a little egg.” Wait, two dads? Posedon only seemed to be confusing me further.

“Still young, dragon side well hidden. Not gone. Perfect,” he said. Then my mouth dropped wide open. What? I wanted to scream.

“Call me Viper,” he said and threw a phone in my lap. “Your dad's number is in there if you need him. You don't belong here, you'll be abused here. None can handle the powers you have, nor angel or demon. They can though, influence.”

He got up and punched me right in the face. I immediately tensed up before waves of nausea took over. “Gage will be happy that you're not dead,” I heard him mumble before I fell out of it.

  CHAPTER 7

  OCTOBER 22ND, 2012

  JOLIET, IL

Each day that had passed only felt stranger as everyone's eyes seemed to fall on me in the hallway. The faeries and witches were observing from afar. And Drew, well, he seems to pop into my business every once in a while. But since that wrestling match I had, my pulse throbbed with fury. The feeling was still stirring within me, and I have no clue why it's there.

The bell rang and gym class started. We were all waiting for the teachers to get done with roll call. I wanted to get on my feet now, because sitting Indian style made my legs go numb. So I was holding my knees together as I buried my head between them. Today I felt sick to my stomach, and I could see Emily eyeing me with concern as they were doing attendance.

“All right, everyone get's up!” the teacher's said and blew their whistles. So I got up, waiting for the teacher's response. “Today's a free day.” Relieved, I was hoping for that as I climbed up to the track upstairs. Emily even followed me up there.

“Something wrong?” Emily asked and nudged into my shoulder. Her concern didn't bring me much comfort. “Don't feel good,” I said as I let my gaze drop to the floor. She poked me again, wanting me to be more specific. I glared at her, not wanting her to touch me again.

“I feel warm, icky. And my head is throbbing.” Then again, she slightly raised a brow as she was in thought thinking about what was probably causing my sickness.

“You should go to the nurse after class. Your skin is pale,” she said, tempted to touch me again. “I'll even take you there.” Then I looked up at the clock, noticing there was only fifteen minutes until class was over. It seemed like she was being honest so I agreed.

After class though, she had my arm locked with hers. The witches approached us as one stared into my face.

“What's going on?” the witch asked. Emily tensed up as one lifted their hand, guessing that they were going to hit her.

“Escorting her to the nurse's office,” Emily said as her grip got tighter on my arm. I was twitching, feeling warmer than I was a few minutes ago.

The witch passed off a dirty smirk to me. “Watch out. She might turn you into a faerie,” she laughed as it seemed to make Emily mad. “I'm not going to,” Emily said, lunging forward. I looked ahead, noticing I was only a few doors down from the nurse's. Now only if I could walk on my lonesome.

Drew was in the hallway, as his eyes casted concern seeing me walk with Emily. He began to walk close behind, observing us.

Each step felt heavier, for my head began to spin. I slipped into one of the chairs as the faerie signed my name. She came back out, noticing the haze I was slipping into. But as she left, Drew sat next to me.

“Are you okay?” he asked, brushing his fingers across my forehead. “You're warm.” T
hen he looked into the office, noticing a patient was already in there. His touch calmed my nerves as I leaned into his shoulder for support. But it didn't stop the throbbing of my head, which was suffocating me.

“Nurse!” I heard Drew yell as he was shaking me. I blinked, hardly able to control my breathing as I tried. “Stay awake for me Jada.”

The nurse came out and had Drew lift me into the office. “Sir, can you take her pulse for me?” she asked. So he held his thumb over my wrist, counting. “About 110,” Drew said as the lady looked up, touching my forehead.

“Fever,” she said as she brought out the thermometer, forcing it into my mouth. My whole body hurt as I began to shake. “Steady.”

Drew's face became pale as he watched my facial expression become ghostly and faint. He was holding my hand tightly as the nurse grabbed a phone. Is she calling the hospital?

“I have a sick student at school. Her temperature is 102 and she has a high heart rate right now. Need an ambulance,” she said and hung up the phone, staring at Drew. “You are coming with her?” He nodded as she went to her computer. “All right Hayes.” Then I completely blacked out.

Two hours later, I woke up hooked up to nearly every device I could think of. As I looked over my shoulder, Drew's stare held concern. He got up and stroked my face as soon as he realized I was up.

“Don't scare me like that,” he said as he bit his lip. Was he about to cry? Then he kneeled down and cried into my shoulder. Yet here I was wondering. Why aren't my parents here yet?

The doctors came in the room once Drew had fallen asleep, whilst I was wide awake. “Everything seems fine on the charts, except blood sugars were a bit low. We would like you to eat something before you can get discharged,” the doctor said, passing a small smile to me. Then he left the room, but I felt as if there was something more to what was going on. That dragon power could be flowing through my veins. I shivered at the thoughts as it seemed so small of a chance.
