Rank & File (Anchor Point Book 4) Page 11

  “What about the movie?”

  “What movie?”

I glanced at the screen and had absolutely no clue what was happening. I was still a little hazy on what movie we were seeing. Or not seeing, as it were.

“Good point.” I kissed him again. “Let’s go.”

We almost stayed in control all the way back to the room.

  Almost.

The walk out of the theater? No problem.

Getting from the theater to the hotel? Easy.

Crossing the hotel lobby? No sweat.

The second the elevator doors closed, though, Will grabbed me around the waist, shoved me up against the mirror, and kissed me. There were probably cameras in here, and some security guard was getting a hell of an eyeful, and I didn’t care. I clung to Will’s leather jacket and ground my neglected hard-on against his as we made out like it had been months, not minutes, since his tongue had been in my mouth.

Then, with a low groan, he pulled my head back and started on my neck. I bit my lip, and when I opened my eyes, I had a better view than the city of Portland had earlier—Will, in jeans and leather, holding me there against the wall with his face buried against my throat like he was an insanely hot vampire.

I glanced at the numbers above the door. Fuck. Not even halfway to our floor. Could this thing move any slower?

Will flicked his tongue across my skin.

Would anyone notice if we hit the emergency stop and stayed in here?

I tilted my head to offer up more of my throat. “You serious about me being on top?”

“You better believe it.” He kneaded my ass and rubbed his cock against my hip. “I just keep getting carried away and fucking you, but tonight? Oh yeah. I want you on top.” He met my eyes and, with a wicked grin, added, “That, and I don’t want you to be too sore this weekend.”

I laughed. “Sore? Please. You’ll have to try harder than that.”

His eyebrow flicked up. “That a challenge?”

“Maybe. But later. I’ve been dying to fuck you.”

  “Why didn’t you say so?”

“Remember that part about getting carried away with fucking me?”

  He nodded.

  “Yeah. That.”

Will chuckled and drew me in for another kiss. He was about to say something else, but the elevator dinged and lurched to a stop. We separated, clearing our throats and tugging at our clothes as if either of us could hide our very prominent hard-ons.

Good thing the hallway was empty. That could’ve been awkward.

We walked as fast as a couple of erections allowed, and somehow I got the key card into the reader on the first try. The second we were in the room, it was just like those nights we hooked up at either of our apartments—door shut, dead bolt turned, deep kiss. No more worrying about someone else stepping into the elevator. No more holding back because another moviegoer might see us. We were alone, sealed in, and why the hell wasn’t he naked yet?

He guided me toward the bed we’d already fucked in once tonight. As soon as my calves touched the mattress, he let me go, leaned toward the nightstand, and pushed a condom into my hand.

  “What?” I smirked. “No foreplay?”

Will shrugged off his jacket and tossed it over a chair. “What do you think all that was in the movie theater?”

“Oh yeah. Good point.” I unbuckled my belt. “I guess the elevator counted too.”

He eyed me as he toed off his shoes. “You guess?”

  I just grinned.

We both made quick work of getting out of our clothes, and he wasn’t kidding about that condom.

“Put it on,” he breathed between kisses. “I want you now.”

I squirmed in his embrace, condom still in my hand. “I kind of like it when you beg.”

He grabbed my hair tight enough to make it sting, and dear God, I hadn’t thought I could get harder, but I’d been wrong, especially when he said in a husky whisper, “Put it on. And fuck me. Sir.”

My knees shook and a moan escaped my lips. Nothing was filthier than the way he called me that when he was ordering me around. “Good . . . good idea.”

He laughed softly. “Thought you might see things my way.” Then, for good measure, he kissed me again. As he pulled back, he met my gaze. “So how do you want to do this?”

I thought about it as I tore the wrapper. I was tempted to come in from behind so I could ride him good and hard, or so I could put him down on his stomach and make him beg for it, but more than anything, I wanted to see his face.

As I started rolling on the condom, I nodded toward the bed beside us. “On your back.”

  Will didn’t argue.

He lay back on the pillows, and as I knelt between his thighs, he hooked his hands under his knees, spreading his legs wide and offering himself to me.

I put plenty of lube on the condom, and used a couple of fingers to make sure he was good and slick too.

“Don’t you dare fucking tease,” he growled as I fingered him. “I want you, not your hand.”

  “I just don’t—”

“Go slow at first. Trust me, I can handle it.”

“And what if I want to tease you?”

He bit his lip and sucked in a sharp breath through his nose. Whether it was because of what I’d said or what I was doing with my fingers, I couldn’t be sure. All I knew was that I fucking loved the sight of him getting all flustered because he wanted my cock. And as fun as it could be to tease him, I wanted to give it to him.

I slid my fingers free, and Will swore as I guided myself in. Or maybe I did. I’d been too turned on to think since we’d started kissing in the theater, and I was surprised my body wasn’t literally on fire with anticipation.

The head slipped into him. He shivered. I groaned. I withdrew and pushed in again because I couldn’t resist those shallow strokes. That moment of penetration when he yielded enough to take me—it was mind-blowing.

“Not that slow,” he said through his teeth. “C’mon.”

I grinned. “After all the times you’ve teased me and made me beg for it?”

Will glared up at me. Then he wrapped his legs around me, pressed his heels into my ass cheek, and pulled me forward, driving me deeper inside him.

“Oh God!” I caught myself on my arms. “Fuck . . .”

He chuckled and rocked his hips. “Don’t make me put you on your back and ride you myself.”

“Uh-uh.” I regained my balance and thrust into him, which earned me a throaty, satisfying grunt. “That how you like it?”

  “Oh yeah.”

I did it again. In no time, I found a rhythm, and my head spun as I fucked him hard. I wanted to lean down and kiss him, to pick up where we’d left off in the elevator, but . . . this view. As if he wasn’t sexy enough when he was on top, or when he was just lying there beside me, naked and satisfied. Seeing Will flat on his back with his legs apart, taking my dick into his tight hole while he stroked himself, was obscenely hot. Why hadn’t we done this sooner?

“You look amazing like this,” I breathed, withdrawing slowly.

“You’re one to talk.” He teased my nipple between his thumb and forefinger. “You are so—” He closed his eyes and sucked in a breath as I slid back into him. “God . . . so hot.”

I dug my teeth into my lip to keep myself centered. Good thing this wasn’t our first round of the night, or it would’ve been over way too fast. I wanted to savor this. Having him all to myself in a giant hotel bed, fucking him like I had in more fantasies than I could count—this definitely needed to last.

  “Should’ve . . .” I bit back a moan. “Should’ve suggested this sooner.”

“No kidding.” His hands ran up my chest. Then to the back of my neck. As he pulled me down, he lifted his head, and then I was kissing him and moving inside him, and holy fuck. He was doing something with his hips—swiveling them? rocking them?—and kissing me like he always did when he was turned on. Deep and demanding, and I swore I could taste
that dirty sir on his tongue as he forced his way into my mouth.

A shudder pushed me deeper inside him. I fucked him harder, and he moaned into my kiss, and suddenly I couldn’t get deep enough inside him, so I broke the kiss with a gasp, sat up, and slammed into him as hard and fast as I could.

Below me, Will arched his back. He pumped his own cock, and the curses he released bordered on sobs. The cords on his neck stood out. His muscles tensed and quivered. He was absolutely the picture of almost there, and all because he was taking my cock.

“Oh God!” My orgasm came out of nowhere, and the force of it knocked me forward. Whatever he was doing with his hips, he kept doing it until I slumped over him, shaking and out of breath and dizzy as hell.

He wasn’t done. He pulled me down into another kiss and kept pumping himself between us. I was still inside him, still hard, still blindingly sensitive from coming, and whimpered into his mouth as he clenched around me.

He broke the kiss but didn’t let me go, panting hard as his grip tightened around my neck and his hole tightened around my cock. I rocked my hips a little bit, and that must’ve been exactly what he needed because he jerked violently and released the sexiest, most helpless cry as he came on both of us.

“Oh fuck . . .” His hand slipped off my neck, and he sank back to the pillows. Sweaty. Covered in semen. Fucking gorgeous.

I carefully pulled out, then sat back on my heels to let the room stop spinning.

“Anytime you want to do that again,” he slurred. “Say the word.”

  “Yeah. Likewise.”

I wasn’t going to be able to move tomorrow. He probably wasn’t either.

  Oh well.

  Worth it.

  Something jostled me awake.

No, that wasn’t quite right. There was movement and contact, but . . . jostling? Not really. It was so much gentler than that. More like . . . moving up against me.

  Will.

Molding himself to me. Draping his arm over me. Lazily pulling us back together after we’d drifted apart during the night.

Oh yeah. That was nice. His skin was warm against my back, and his breath was soft on the side of my neck. When he kissed below my ear, his stubble grazed my skin and made me shiver.

I smiled into the pillow. We’d done it. We’d gone to sleep in the same bed and woken up lying where we’d fallen. And it was exactly as perfect as I’d thought it would be.

We lay like that for a while. Not quite dozing, but not quite awake. We were both sporting some morning wood, but he didn’t make any move to turn me on, and I didn’t either. After last night, I suspected he needed a rain check as much as I did. Especially if we were going to be walking around today. As it was, my hips still felt kind of disjointed.

  No regrets, though. Good God.

Eventually, I did need to break away from his embrace so I could take a leak. On the way back to the bed, I paused to stare at him.

He was partly on his stomach now, having shifted around a little after I’d gotten up. His bare torso was half covered by the sheet, but I could still see plenty. Stubble darkened his jaw, and his hair was as mussed as it could be when it was that short.

  I couldn’t help grinning.

So that’s what you look like in the morning.

His eyes fluttered open, and he returned the grin. “You just going to stand around naked like that? Or get back in bed?”

“Well, if those are the options . . .” I chuckled, and he lifted the covers as I slid back into bed with him. Once again, he draped his arm over my waist and molded himself against me.

“We should probably get moving eventually,” he murmured, lips brushing behind my ear. “But it seems like a damn shame to waste an opportunity to sleep in.”

“I agree. We don’t get to be lazy very often.”

“Especially not together.” He cuddled closer and kissed the side of my neck. “What time is it anyway?”

I craned my neck a little to see the alarm clock next to the bed. “Ooh, we’re really indulging—it’s almost seven.”

He laughed softly and pressed another kiss to my neck. Holding me tighter, he whispered, “That just means we have more morning left to spend like this.”

I laced my fingers between his on my stomach. “Sounds good to me.”

It was almost ten when we finally got up, showered, shaved, and dressed. We grabbed breakfast downstairs, then headed out to see what Portland had to offer.

Without the Navy lurking nearby, Will relaxed. And I realized I hadn’t seen him in casual clothes more than a handful of times. If we were lounging around and eating whatever takeout we’d had delivered, he’d put on a pair of gym shorts or jeans or something so he didn’t have to answer the door naked, and I’d seen him in uniform, of course. I couldn’t remember what he’d worn the night we’d fucked at the High-&-Tight. I’d been too caught up in seeing him at all to spare any synapses for his clothes.

Today, he had on a pair of jeans he’d probably had for years. The denim was worn in places, but they weren’t fraying or full of holes. Just worn. And, good Lord, they sat perfectly on his hips and ass. I wouldn’t have been surprised if this was a favorite pair—the ones he’d keep until the seams were barely holding themselves together, and he’d still look good in them then.

He’d paired the weathered old jeans with an equally faded black Pink Floyd T-shirt—“Another Brick in the Wall,” of course—and the black leather jacket he’d worn last night.

And, as we stepped outside, a pair of wraparound sunglasses.

  “Oakleys.” I grinned. “Nice.”

He chuckled. “They’re Navy issue. I’d never spend this much on a pair of sunglasses.”

  “What? MAs get issued Oakleys?”

“Hey, our job has to have some perks.”

  “Fair enough, fair enough.”

We headed out to explore Portland, and as we walked, I couldn’t help myself—I kept stealing glances at him in the windows of shops and cars.

I had no idea where the line was between a guy trying too hard to look a decade younger, and a guy who could dress like that and get away with it. I didn’t know what one thing or combination of things would tip the scales in either direction.

All I knew was Will landed firmly in the category of a guy who could not only get away with that look—he rocked it. He still looked his age, but not like he was having a midlife crisis. He wore leather and rock band shirts and weathered jeans and Oakleys because of course he did. What else would he wear? Khakis and a polo?

That thought made me snort before I could stop myself.

  He glanced at me. “What?”

“Nothing.” I shook my head. Before he could press, I gestured at a café coming up. “That place looks like it could be good. You hungry?”

“Sure. I could eat.” We stopped and perused the menu they had on display. It sounded promising, so we went inside.

At the table, Will shrugged off his jacket and hung it on the back of his chair. As he sat down, he set the Oakleys on the table. “So. Any ideas for the rest of the day?”

“Don’t know.” I thumbed the edge of the menu, but wasn’t in a huge hurry to open it. “I’m not real familiar with this town.”

“Neither am I. Did you see anything interesting on that rack of tourist stuff at the hotel?”

“The Japanese Gardens caught my eye.” I felt a bit stupid suggesting it—a lot of guys seemed to roll their eyes at things like that. I wasn’t obsessed with flowers or anything, but I found Japanese and botanical gardens relaxing as all hell.

Will smiled. “Sure, we could check it out. It’s probably pretty empty and quiet this time of year, but . . .”

“It’s worth a look.” I shouldn’t have been this relieved that he didn’t think it was stupid. Or this surprised. “Assuming it’s open.”

“I’ll check after lunch.” He gestured with his phone. “Man, just thinking about going to a place like that brings back memories. I haven’t spent as much time
as I’d like in Japan, but I have been and I’ve loved it.”

“Oh man, I want to go to Japan so bad. Have you been to Okinawa?”

“Oh yeah. Never for very long, though. I tried to get orders there a few times, but . . .” He shook his head. “Just had to enjoy it whenever my ship pulled in.”

“I always heard that place was kind of a shithole.”

“Yeah, me too. It’s bullshit, though. The island is beautiful.”

  “So, why the reputation?”

Will shrugged. “Don’t know. I mean, I guess a lot of the people who bitch about it probably never went farther than Gate Two Street.”

  “Meaning . . .?”

“It’s the area right outside Gate Two of Kadena. That’s where all the bars and shit are. If that’s the only part of the island you ever see? Yeah, I could understand why it might be a shithole.”

“Huh. So what’s the rest of it like?”

“Lots of beaches. Some cool shops here and there. The food is unbelievable. And if you’re into history, the island may be tiny, but it can keep you entertained for a while.”

“Damn.” I pursed my lips. “Now I do want to go. Is it true they hate Americans there?”

Will laughed. “Oh my God, no. I guess there’s a protest outside one of the bases every time Japan’s having an election. Some politician runs on the platform of booting the Americans off and reclaiming that particular base. Then as soon as the election’s over, that’s the end of it. Otherwise, everyone I know who’s actually lived there has said the locals don’t have a problem with us at all.”

  “Well shit.”

“Right? I mean, our civilians pour money into their economy, and their civilians work on our bases.” He shrugged. “I couldn’t tell you how people in general feel about it politically, but as far as the economy goes, it seems to be a pretty sweet deal for everyone.”

“Sounds like it.” I flipped open the menu but didn’t read it yet. “I keep wanting to take a military flight out there just to see it. If I can’t get orders, might as well visit, right?”

Will nodded. “It’s worth the trip.”
