“Don’t get your hopes up. He doesn’t believe in fated mates,” Grant said.
“What? Why? I thought it was a shifter belief...” Her voice trailed off as she went back to stroking Grant's chest, this time circling his erect nipples with the tip of her index finger. He shivered as she touched the sensitive skin.
“I don’t know why he doesn’t believe it. Holden pretends he doesn’t feel things but I think he is actually scared of being hurt by women. I know he scoffed when I first told him about you being my mate. Now he sees how happy we are but I think he still doesn’t trust it or understand it.” He inhaled and bit his lip.
Again taking her hand and bringing it to his mouth this time he moved a little. “I thought you wanted to wait until our wedding night to make love again?” he asked.
“I do,” Acacia grinned.
“If you keep touching me like that, I won’t be responsible for my behavior,” he said in a husky voice.
Acacia laughed and kissed his chest again. She couldn’t help but want him when he was near her, especially when he was bare-chested. Maybe she should have taken Kellie’s invitation and spent the night at her house but she couldn’t bear to be away from Grant for the night. Falling asleep in his arms was her new favorite thing and she intended to never spend a night without him if she could.
