  Reagan

“Holy shit,” Reagan muttered as she stumbled over her high heel. She slapped a hand over her mouth to try and keep in the giggles, but it was no use, she was definitely drunk.

The wedding had been wonderful. Even though her sister, Sadie, was pregnant with Diesel’s cubs, she’d still been a radiant bride. Reagan could admit to getting a little teary during the ceremony. Not just because she was happy for her sister, but because she’d been a tiny bit sad for herself.

  Hence, the drinking.

As soon as Diesel had lifted her sister up and literally whisked her away to start their honeymoon immediately, Reagan had bee-lined to the bar.

Now it was getting late, her gorgeous sapphire blue Maid of Honor dress was starting to feel like a strait jacket, and Reagan was not only drunk, but horny as hell.

She looked around and noticed with a sigh that most of the guests had already started to disperse. Not that there had been that many attendees to begin with. They did live in a small town in the middle of Alaska, after all. Plus, Sadie was new to the area, and Diesel had always preferred to be in bear form, rather than human, and wasn’t what you’d call social.

Reagan sighed again and was about to come to terms with the fact that it would be another evening of pleasuring herself, when her eyes landed on a large male shape over by the tree line.

Hunter, she thought as she changed direction and started heading his way.

Hunter, Blaze, and Diesel were not only brothers, but triplets, born in the same litter. They were all huge, around six foot seven, with large bulging muscles and dark hair. Reagan had never been that interested in Diesel; he hadn’t been around much, after all, but she’d encountered both Hunter and Blaze enough to wonder a time or two what they’d be like in the sack.

Both men were no strangers to the ladies in this town. Unlike Diesel, they could often be found at The Ridge on a Saturday night, drinking, laughing, and talking up women. Reagan had always been attracted, but had shied away from hooking up with anyone in this small town. Not only would she have to run into them at every turn, but she now considered Hunter and Blaze friends.

  Hell, they were almost family.

Of course, as Reagan made out Hunter’s broad shoulders in his tapered tux, she wasn’t feeling the slightest bit familial.

It had been way too long since she’d gotten laid, so why not kill two birds with one stone? Scratch that itch that was nagging her, and find out whether Hunter Grizzly was as fantastic as his reputation claimed.

“Hey,” Reagan called as she neared him, her voice throaty with desire.

The forest was pitch black behind him, so when Hunter turned, she couldn’t completely make out his face, but she could see his lips tip up when he realized it was her.

“Hey yourself,” he replied, his voice low, with just enough of a growl to cause shivers to run down her spine.

“Whatcha doin’ out here?” she asked, trying not to slur her words. Sure, Reagan’d had a lot to drink, but she didn’t want him to think that she was so far gone she didn’t know what she was doing. Lord knew the Grizzly brothers were nothing if not chivalrous.

  “Just thinking,” was his reply.

“Were you thinking about me?” Reagan asked boldly, running the tip of her finger along the neckline of her gown.

She grinned when Hunter’s eyes followed her movement, before he looked back at her and asked, “Who else would I be thinking about?”

Reagan could taste the victory on her lips, even as she longed to feel the length of him inside of her.

“Come on,” she said coyly, holding out her hand and pulling him deeper into the woods.

Once they were far enough away to have total privacy in the thick of the forest, she stopped and turned, placing her hands on his chest.

As she pushed his jacket up and off of his shoulders, Hunter asked, “What are you doing, Reagan?”

“Something that I think we’ve both wanted to do for a long time,” Reagan replied, then tip-toed up to reach behind his head and pull him toward her lips.

That first touch was all they needed to ignite the chemistry that she’d known they’d have.

Reagan moaned as she opened her lips and his tongue delved inside. Their hands were everywhere at once as they made love to each other with their mouths. She started trying to undo his buttons, but when that proved too difficult, she took fabric in each hand and pulled, smiling against him when she heard the satisfying rip of his shirt.

“Mmmm,” she murmured against his lips as her hands explored the hot expanse of his chest. With smooth skin with rough patches of hair on his chest and navel, he felt perfect beneath her touch.

Gasping, Reagan turned her head as his lips began to trail down her neck, giving him better access as she moved her hand lower, following his happy trail. When she reached his slacks, she undid the button and lowered the zipper, then shoved her hand inside.

Her pussy clenched and got wet when she encountered his thick, hard cock, rather than fabric from underwear.

Her hand was wrenched out of his pants when he dropped to his knees, lining his face up with the heaving flesh of her exposed breasts. Easing the dress further down, Hunter placed his hands on Reagan’s lower back to propel her forward, then suckled one nipple into his mouth. Reagan’s head fell back when the sharp sting of his bite hit her nipple, and her hand came up to cup the back of his head. She held him in place as he sucked more of her tender flesh between his lips, then moved to pay attention to her other breast.

When one hand left her back and began sliding up her leg under her gown, Reagan opened her legs unabashedly, needing to steady herself as she gave him better access to the place she wanted him the most.

His fingers, his mouth, his cock… God, she wanted all of him at once.

Hunter brushed his knuckles against the satin front of her panties, causing her to whimper.

  “I need you,” she cried
, eager for him to touch her satiny flesh.

Hunter’s lips left her breast as he tilted his head to look up at her.

“Where?” he asked, his gaze molten.

  “Right there… inside.”

“Inside where?” he asked, his voice rough. “Say it.”

“I need you… in my pussy,” she whispered, her cheeks reddening. But her embarrassment was short lived, because Hunter did as she asked.

First one finger dipped beneath her panties, then the other. He caressed her clit softly, then trailed his fingers down and inserted them inside.

“Yes,” Reagan cried as she began to ride his fingers. “Like that…”

“You’re so fucking beautiful,” he growled. Then the next thing she knew, Hunter had lifted her skirt and ducked his head underneath, his tongue hitting her clit as his fingers found her G-spot.

“Oh God,” Reagan managed, bracing herself against his broad shoulders as her body exploded. She was still riding her orgasm when Hunter stood and lifted her. Her legs came around his waist, and her wet, still throbbing pussy met his cock as he freed it, surging inside of her in one quick thrust.

The growl that came out of Hunter was more animal than man, and Reagan gripped his shoulders tightly. He cradled her body close with his large hands and fucked her until he was shouting his own release.

After a few moments, the only sound in the forest their panting breaths, Hunter eased out of her and set her gently on the ground.

Feeling utterly fantastic and totally satisfied, Reagan straightened her clothes and leaned in to kiss Hunter on the cheek.

“God, Hunter, that was even better than I’d imagined,” she said softly, then turned and made her way back to the reception.

  Blaze

Hunter… She’d just called him Hunter.

Blaze stood frozen on the spot.

He’d been dreaming of claiming Reagan for more years than he could count, and when she’d appeared at the edge of the trees, like a vision plucked from his thoughts, Blaze had thought his prayers had finally been answered.

He’d just had the hottest sex of his life, with the woman he now knew was his mate, and she’d thought he was his brother.

  Fuck!

When she’d first approached, he’d thought she just wanted to talk about the wedding. How beautiful it was and all that stuff that people always gushed about at weddings, but then he’d seen the look in her eye, and he’d smelled her arousal. It hadn’t taken long for him to figure out that she’d come there looking to hook up. His instant flare of excitement had clouded his vision and impeded his ability to think, or else Blaze would have realized that a hook up in the woods with Reagan was not the answer to his prayers.

No, he wanted forever with Reagan, and all she’d wanted was to get laid.

Blaze turned and began walking back, and he caught a glimpse of Reagan as she slipped out of the trees and back to the party.

He stopped, wondering what his next course of action should be.

Did he tell her who he was, even though he knew she’d be mortified to find out that she’d slept with the wrong brother? Or did he let her continue to think she’d hooked up with Hunter, hoping that she wouldn’t say anything to his brother about what happened?

Did he tell Hunter, even though Hunter knew how he felt about Reagan, how he’d always wanted her for his own? How humiliating would that be? To admit that his mate wanted Hunter and not him?

Shit, he was at a loss. What a total cluster.

If only he’d known Reagan had thought he was Hunter from the beginning, then he could have stopped things from progressing… But, would he have?

When you were moments away from possessing the one thing you’d always wanted, was pushing it away even be an option?

  “There you are…”

Blaze looked up to see Hunter stalking toward him.

“I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” his brother said as he approached. “Nat and Sheila want to head back to The Ridge for some drinks and distraction, you up for it?”

“Uh, I don’t think so,” Blaze said as he rubbed his hand absently on the back of his neck.

“No?” Hunter asked, his surprise evident.

Unlike their much more subdued brother, Diesel, Hunter and Blaze were always up for a good time.

“Nah, not tonight,” Blaze replied, and felt relief when it looked like Hunter wasn’t going to press him on it.

Instead, he just nodded and asked, “You want me to drop you at home then?”

  “Yeah, that’d be great.”

They did almost everything together, so it wasn’t unusual that they’d driven to the wedding together, from the cabin that they shared. Whereas Diesel had always needed solitude, Blaze and Hunter had always been happiest as a team. They hadn’t reached a point in their life yet where they were ready to mate and raise cubs, and had decided to live together until that happened.

Neither of them was the type to be happy alone. They enjoyed being part of a clan.

“Are you sure you don’t want to come party with us?” Sheila asked as they drove away from the reception, her hand soft and roaming on his leg.

“Nah, I’m just going to head home,” Blaze said softly. Not wanting to offend her, but hoping she’d get the hint, he put his hand over hers to stop its progression.

“Then,” she began, leaning in close to whisper in his ear, “Do you want company instead? We can bypass The Ridge and just get to the good stuff.”

Any other night, Blaze would happily take Sheila up on her offer, and it wasn’t that he’d had sex with another woman already that night that was stopping him. Shit, he’d done that a couple of times before. But this time was different. This time it was Reagan.

He’d always wanted her, and had known in his heart that she was his mate, but now that he’d tasted her and knew it for a fact? There would be no other women for him until the day he died.

Everything was about to change, and Blaze knew he not only had to have a discussion with Reagan, but he’d have to have one with Hunter as well. It wasn’t only his life that was about to change, but his relationship with his brother.

“Sorry, Sheila, not tonight,” he replied as they pulled up to their cabin. “Later, Hunt.”

Hunter called goodbye, and Blaze watched them drive away until he could no longer see Sheila’s scowling face.

Rather than go inside, Blaze rounded the house and walked up the back porch steps. He quietly took off his shoes, tuxedo, and undergarments, folding them neatly and laying them on the wooden bench. Then he descended the steps and looked out into the woods that sat in the middle of their property.

With is head full of questions, his heart full of confusion, and his body primed to run, Blaze shifted and hoped that clarity would come after a night in his true form.

  Then, he ran.

  Three

  Reagan

Reagan hopped out of the chopper seconds after it touched down. Ducking low, she headed toward the black haired man who was waiting for her by their work truck.

“Hey, Tuck, how’s it going?” she asked as she put her gear in the back of the truck.

“Pretty good, how was your sister’s wedding?” he replied.

“Beautiful,” Reagan admitted. “I’ve never seen her so happy. But, I have to say, I’m happy to be back to work and through with dress fittings and wedding talk. I’ve missed this.”

She and Tuck had been working side by side for Outdoor Bound catalogs for the last couple of years. They’d had a short stint as a couple, but it hadn’t worked out. Now they usually hooked up when they worked together, and went their separate ways when they were home.

It wasn’t romantic, but it had worked for them so far.

“They have us scheduled for a shoot tonight, then another first thing in the morning.”

Reagan nodded; she knew this was a short job, and would have a pretty quick turnaround. She’d be back home before night fell the next
day.

“Did you already get our room?” she asked, turning to look at Tuck in time to notice his hands clench the steering wheel at her question. “Everything okay?”

“Yeah, ah, about that…” Tuck began, causing Reagan to shift in her seat so she could face him fully.

  “Just spill it,” she urged.

“I’ve found my mate,” he admitted, his face softening. “I’m sorry.”

Tuck was a Black Bear shifter, and part of the reason things hadn’t worked out between them was because Reagan wasn’t his mate. They’d enjoyed each other, and the sex was good, so they’d agreed to maintain a casual relationship.

It had always been understood, though, that once Tuck found his mate, it would be over between them. The thing with shifters was that once they mated, it was for life, and they’d never be with another woman again. It didn’t matter if something happened to their mate, or by some weird twist of fate, their mate didn’t feel the same way about them, for the Bear, there was one person meant for them, and one person only.

Once they found their mate, everything changed.

Even though Reagan hadn’t been sure she wanted to continue things with Tuck, not after her encounter with Hunter had been so unexpectedly amazing, having the option taken away from her stung.

“You don’t have to be sorry,” Reagan said softly, trying to ignore the pang of disappointment at the news. “I understand. It’s the way you’re built.”

“I know you understand, but that doesn’t mean I won’t miss you,” he said, and this time when he looked at her, she saw the regret on Tuck’s face.

“Hey, it’s not like we won’t still work together, right?” Reagan assured him as she placed her hand on his arm. “We’ll still be in each other’s lives. Now, tell me everything. How’d you meet? What’s she like?”

Reagan listened with a heavy heart as Tuck told her all about his new mate on the way to their job site.
