Blaze (BBW Paranormal Shapeshifter Romance) (The Grizzly Brothers Book 2) Page 7

She kept her head up when she reached the room, then threw each man a pair of shorts and turned her back so they could get dressed. Capri was standing on this side of the sliding glass doors, her eyes wide, seemingly unable to look away from the spectacle the brothers made.

Sorry, Reagan mouthed, but Capri just blushed. She had a feeling the men Capri dated weren’t going to measure up after what she’d just seen.

On that thought, Reagan chuckled, and found she was running out of patience.

“Are you all decent yet?” she asked the room, then decided she didn’t care, so she turned and rushed to where Blaze was sitting on the couch.

Her hands went to his face, needing to touch him, to look him in the eyes and see for herself that he was all right.

“Hey,” she said softly, lowering her head to brush her lips softly against his.

“Hey, Beautiful,” Blaze replied. He was smiling, but she could see pain in his face.

“Let’s lay you back and get you settled,” Reagan said, then gestured for the men to come and help her make Blaze comfortable.

Once he was lying down, a pillow cradling his head and a blanket keeping him warm, Reagan leaned over him and asked, “What do you need?”

“We called the doctor when we landed, so he should be here any minute,” Hunter offered.

Reagan nodded, but her eyes were on her man.

“Are you hungry? Thirsty? Need some Tylenol?”

Blaze lifted his arm and curled it around her back, drawing Reagan down so she was down next to him, her head cradled on his chest.

“All I need is you,” he said, his voice a low rumble in his chest.

Reagan lifted her head, needing to see his face when she said, “I love you, Blaze. I don’t want to take things slow anymore.”

“That’s good, Reagan, ‘cause I already started moving my stuff into your house.”

Reagan started laughing, but the laughter left her when he ran a fingertip gently down her cheek.

  “I love you, too, Beautiful.”

  Epilogue

  Reagan

If someone had told Reagan that six months after her sister’s wedding, she’d be settled down happily, with a mate of her own, she would have called them crazy. Hell, she’d all but given up the thought when she’d felt her connection to Blaze.

Now, Blaze had moved into her cabin, and they were adding two bedrooms, a deck, and a hot tub. She was still working for Outdoor Bound, although she and Blaze had agreed that once they started a family, she’d cut back and not work so much.

Little did Blaze know, that change was going to happen sooner than he thought.

“Hey, Beautiful,” Blaze said, looking up from his book as she walked in the house. “How was your spa day with Sadie?”

“It was awesome,” Reagan replied, unable to keep the excitement out of her voice.

Blaze crooked an eyebrow at her tone and asked, “Really? That good? Did you get a happy ending?”

Reagan shook her head as she laughed.

“The only happy ending I want is from you,” she said as she took his book out of his hands, set it on the end table, and straddled his lap.

“This is a nice welcome home,” her man said, the grey in his eyes darkening as she shifted against him.

“Isn’t it, though?” she asked throatily, then bent to give him a kiss.

“Mmmmm,” Blaze groaned as Reagan took her lips away while shifting her hips.

  “I have some news.”

“Hmmm, what kind of news?” Blaze asked, growling when she rubbed against his hardened cock.

“The good kind,” she replied coyly.

“The circus is coming to town?”

“No,” she said with a laugh.

“You’ve decided that you’re going to stay home, stay in bed, and become my sex slave?”

  “Nope.”

“You’ve decided, the hell with waiting to get married and have babies, let’s start right now?”

  “Yup.”

“What?” he asked, lust clearing from his eyes as he stopped the motion of her hips.

  “Yes, to the last one…”

“You want to get married right now?”

“Well, yeah, I do, but the other part is a little more imminent,” Reagan’s smile widened as astonishment crossed his face.

“You’re pregnant?” Blaze asked, his voice full of wonder.

“Yup,” she said, then rocked against him once more.

“What are you doing?” he asked, sounding horrified. “Stop that.”

Blaze lifted Reagan easily off his lap, then set her gently down on the couch next to him.

“What are you doing?” she asked, mystified.

“You can’t bump and grind against me when you’re carrying my babies.”

“Oh, yes, I can, how do you think they got in there in the first place?”

“That may be how they got in there, but I’m not taking any chances until they get out of there.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Reagan cried, her mouth dropping when she saw how serious her mate looked.

  “Not even a little bit.”

“You’re telling me, that we aren’t going to have sex until after these babies are born?”

  “Yup.”

  “That’s like… months.”

  “We’ll live.”

“You’re insane,” Reagan argued. “I know for a fact that Diesel and Sadie had sex up until the night she gave birth to those babies, and they all came out just fine.”

“Well, I’m happy for D and Sadie, but these are our babies we’re talking about.”

“I’m about to walk out of here and leave you until these babies are born, if you don’t change your tune,” Reagan countered, rising from the couch, intent on walking out.

“Okay, I’m sorry, don’t do that,” Blaze said, a teasing smile on his lips.

He grabbed her hand and pulled her back, settling her so she was once again straddling his hips.

“Now,” he asked, “Where were we?”

“We’re going to be parents,” Reagan replied softly.

Blaze brought his hands up to cup her face, his eyes reverent on her.

“I love you, Beautiful, you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

“I love you too, Hunter,” Reagan replied with a smirk, then yelped when Blaze pinched her bottom.
