He shrugs, but before he can answer I hear my brother. “I’m here, Pup.” He pats Scott on the shoulder. “I’m good man, go and enjoy the night.” Scott leans in and kisses my cheek again. I feel James tense beside me, so I rub his hand that is on my right hip.
“You hurt her again, you deal with the entire Galaxy. You feel me?” He says looking directly at James. I roll my eyes. James nods, but he doesn’t seem threatened by Scott. Wait until Jake starts. Scott walks away. The couple of Galaxy boys nod, smile at me, and follow Scotty. I look back at Jake and go to speak, but he raises his hand to stop me.
“I’m your big brother Pup and it’s my job to protect you. I have failed epically in the past, but not anymore. I know that you know about what Dean did to her James, but you still hurt her, granted she caused some hurt also.” I blink at my brother. Wow, where is this calm and collected Jake coming from? Jakes continues. “Now I need you to listen to me very, very carefully James Wilde. You get me?” James nods and guilt crosses his face. “Good, because as you can see, Tally has a lot of big brothers looking out for her and they will always protect her just like I will, but it’s my blood duty to do so. “You two leaving?” asks Marcus. James answers for us.
