Rocking Perfection (Reckless Release Book 3) Page 13

by Cassandra Lawson

One corner of Xander’s lips kicked up into a smirk. “I do have a condom, but I’m not quite ready to use it.”

“Why not?” I asked as we walked into the house. “You seemed just as hot as I was at the club. Maybe you need a little encouragement.”

I stripped my shirt over my head before sliding my skirt down my hips, leaving me standing before him in my red bra, panties, and strappy shoes.

“Behave.” The strain in that one word proved Xander was just as turned on as I was, despite his efforts to pretend otherwise.

“Where’s the fun in that?” I accompanied my question with a saucy smile before walking to his loveseat and bending over the arm so my ass was in the air. “It’s so much more fun being bad.”

Xander chuckled as he strode toward me. “Oh, so you like being bad?” One hand settled on my lower back while he used the other to massage my ass.

I moaned. “Yes. That feels so good.”

“You know what happens to bad girls, right?”

I flashed him a naughty grin. “That’s part of the reason I love being bad.”

Xander’s grin widened. “Put your hands behind your back.”

There was no hesitation in obeying his command. When my hands were behind my back, Xander slowly undid his belt and pulled it through the loops. His goal was to build anticipation, and it was working. Using his belt, he secured my hands behind my back.

“Very nice.” He massaged my butt again before sliding a hand between my legs to stroke me through my panties. “And you’re already wet. I wonder how wet you’re going to be when your ass is warmed.”

A needy whimper was my only reply.

He began massaging my backside again, occasionally sliding his hand between my legs. Just when I was about to complain about his teasing, Xander’s hand came down on my right butt cheek. It was a light smack that had me moaning and craving more. After that, he settled into a steady rhythm that built in intensity until my ass was pleasantly warm and stinging. That’s when he stopped.

“Don’t move, babe.” I watched as he walked away.

“You can’t leave me like this!” He chuckled at my protest. If my hands weren’t bound, I’d have reached between my legs to stroke myself. I was torn between my desire to have Xander pleasure me and my need for him to continue with the spanking. I loved a good spanking, and Xander was talented in that area. There was more to a good spanking than just smacking someone’s ass several times. It required a warmup that left the spankee craving more.

Xander returned and smacked my ass again. This time, he was wearing a leather glove. “You didn’t think I was done yet, did you?”

“I did,” I admitted, moaning when Xander slid my panties down my legs. I lifted one leg and then the other to allow him to slip the panties off. He also undid the straps on my shoes to remove them before pushing me forward slightly so my feet no longer touched the ground.

“Open,” he commanded as he held my panties in front of my face. When my eyes widened, he grinned. “You’re the one who wanted to play bad girl games. I’ll bet you’re getting even wetter at the thought of me shoving these panties in your mouth.”

What could I say? He was right; the thought of having Xander gag me with my panties was a huge turn on, so I opened my mouth. Xander looked pleased and a little surprised by my acquiescence.

“You are fucking amazing,” he praised as he slid two fingers inside of me. He continued to work me with his fingers until I began to tighten as I wiggled against his hand.

My whimper of protest when he removed his fingers made Xander laugh softly. “Patience. I like having you in this position, totally at my mercy. Besides, I’m not done with your spanking. You don’t really want me to stop when I’ve just gotten your ass warmed up, do you?”

When I shook my head, he grinned. “Perfect.”

His leather-clad hand connected with my ass, sending vibrations through my core. Each swat had me on sensation overload. I was also feeling deliciously helpless and exposed. It wasn’t long until I completely gave myself over to Xander, focused only on the sensations I was experiencing at his hands.

Xander reached forward to pull the panties from my mouth and gave me a fond smile. “You look gorgeous. I can’t wait to get inside of you.”

“Please.” That one word was all I could manage, but I didn’t need to say more. Xander knew exactly what I wanted.

The glove landed beside my head just before I heard his zipper slide down, followed by the tearing of the condom package. When I felt the head of his dick at my entrance, I moaned and wiggled against him. His hands gripped my hot ass cheeks, spreading me wider as he began to thrust into me.

“Yes,” I practically screamed when he began fucking me hard from behind. There was no build-up, just hard, rough sex, and it was what I needed. Each thrust caused him to slap against my stinging ass. The slight pain increased my pleasure. I was already tightening around him, having been close to my orgasm when he’d first entered me.

Xander gripped my ass tighter and groaned as he continued to slam into me until I screamed with my orgasm, tugging at the belt restraining my wrists. Slowing his pace, Xander eased me through my orgasm before he untied my wrists and helped me to my feet.

He hadn’t come yet, so I had no idea why he was stopping.

“I want to look in your eyes when I come.” He didn’t give me a chance to respond before sitting on the loveseat and urging me to straddle his lap. I quickly complied, sliding down his dick.

With his hands on my hips, Xander guided my movements, sliding me up and down. His eyes remained locked with mine, adding intimacy to our encounter. At that moment, it was more than sex, and that connection was just as arousing, if not more. I soon found myself tightening around Xander again as my movements became frenzied. We were both panting, and I was making loud whimpering noises as Xander grew impossibly bigger inside of me.

“Xan!” I screamed with my second release as he groaned with his own.

In the time it took us to recover, our gazes remained locked. A sated smile played on Xander’s lips as one hand reached around the back of my head to pull me closer. His lips brushed against mine before he spoke. “That was amazing. No, amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. You are beyond amazing.”

“I was thinking the same about you,” I said with a sleepy smile.

  Chapter 48

  Cami

I didn’t feel at all uncomfortable about spending the night with Xander until he was driving me home the next day.

“Why do I feel like I’m doing the walk of shame?” I asked as Xander parked in a guest spot.

“Because you refused to pack an overnight bag,” he replied.

  “I brought a toothbrush,” I reminded him.

“I bring a toothbrush when I have a dentist’s appointment after band practice. That’s different from packing for a sleepover. Since you’re wearing the same clothes you had on yesterday, this qualifies as a walk of shame.”

“You’re probably right,” I told him. “This would feel different if I had a change of clothes.”

“Possibly,” he replied. “I expected you to revel in the walk of shame. You seem to get off on being a bad girl.”

I smiled. “I enjoy being a bad girl at times. Growing up, I always did my best to avoid any trouble.”

“Let me guess. You were one of those kids who thrived on praise. You liked being the smartest girl in class, the one who never got into any trouble.”

“That’s not what motivated me,” I admitted as I climbed out of the car.

“Then what was it?” Xander asked as he walked around to my side.

I hesitated because I didn’t talk about my parents. Xander already knew a little about them—more than most. It wasn’t that I was embarrassed about my childhood so much as my parents weren’t a big part of my life anymore. “My parents fought all the time when I was growing up. There was a lot of tension in the house already, so I tried to be invisible. I didn’t wan
t to add to all of that.”

“I can see how that would be stressful. It probably led to your desire to be the perfect girlfriend. You hate conflict.”

“Exactly,” I agreed. “It’s a big part of why I became a therapist.”

“Did you have a therapist growing up?” Xander asked when we reached my front door.

I shook my head as I opened the front door. “My parents didn’t think I needed therapy. They never thought there was anything wrong with me, and I can’t say I blame them. I was a good kid who never got into any trouble.”

“No rebelling?” Xander asked. When I shook my head, he continued. “Not even behind your parents’ backs?”

“Nope,” I replied. “I had plenty of friends get caught sneaking around, and I didn’t want to deal with the drama.”

“Do you still act that way around your parents?” he asked.

“I haven’t talked to my dad since his last wedding about two years ago. My mom is kind of in her own world. We talk, but rarely about anything too serious.” I decided to leave out my mom’s warnings about dating Xander.

  “That must suck,” he remarked.

I shrugged. “It only seems that way because you haven’t met my parents. I also know it probably sounds like we have a strained relationship, but we don’t. We’re just not close.”

“I’m sorry to hear that,” he said quietly.

It was harder for people with close families to understand my situation. Xander loved his mom and sister. From what I’d read, he’d also been close to his father. It must have been devastating to lose him. “I guess we both had our hardships to deal with growing up.”

“You’re right,” he agreed. “I was lucky to have my mom and sister when my dad died, but it was still a rough time. I still miss him. Sometimes, I get a little choked up when I think that he never got to hear me sing with my band. My dad’s the reason I can play so many instruments. Every time I wanted to learn a new one, he’d work overtime to make sure we could afford lessons. He used to tell me I could do anything I wanted whenever I told him I was going to be a rock star and a firefighter.”

“A firefighter?” I’d never heard that story.

“Oh, yeah,” he replied. “I used to pretend to rescue my classmates from burning play structures. That dream changed when I burned my finger on a birthday candle and realized how much fire hurts.”

“Yes, it does.” There was a beat of awkward silence before I spoke again. “I should get to my paperwork. I’ll call you later.”

“Have a good day,” he told me before leaning in to brush his lips against mine. It was a sweet kiss that was over all too soon. “Bye, babe.”

Xander hurried out my door, and I watched as he walked down the stairs. He was incredible. A scary thought occurred to me. I was falling for Xander Marsh.

  Chapter 49

  Xander

Going over the details for our next tour sucked balls, mostly because I wasn’t looking forward to leaving Cami for nearly three months. I could fly back between some shows, but it wouldn’t be the same. Karma was biting me in the ass for making fun of my friends when they’d been missing the women in their lives. Now, I was going to be in the same position.

Cami wasn’t officially my girlfriend, but we were dating. We didn’t just get together for sex and cooking lessons. We went to movies, clubs, and sometimes we just hung out and watched television at home.

Mitch was keeping his distance, for the most part. He’d sent flowers to her office once in the last week, but that was it. As far as I was concerned, he was still acting like a sicko stalker, but the police had cleared him in Cami’s fall. It was frustrating that the police had yet to make an arrest, but nothing else had happened, so it could have been an isolated incident.

I was finally meeting with the private investigator to get his report on Mitch. It had taken longer than I would have liked, but I’d expected that. Calvin Jamison was a well-respected private investigator with a long client list.

As I walked into his office, Calvin stood to shake my hand. “How are you doing today, Mr. Marsh?”

“Good,” I replied. “How about you?”

“As well as can be expected,” he replied with a smile. “I have your full report, including criminal records. There is a sealed juvenile file I wasn’t able to access. Would you like me to go over the highlights? Or would you prefer to read through it on your own?”

“I’d appreciate you going through the highlights,” I told him, looking at the large file on his desk.

He first handed me a flash drive before opening the folder. “Everything is also on there, in case you want an electronic copy. I know younger people prefer that. As for me, I’m still a paper man.”

“This is perfect.” I slipped the flash drive into my pocket.

“Davis Abram Mitchell Jr. goes by Mitch,” Calvin began as he skimmed the report. “He grew up in the Bay Area and attended school in Orinda until he was expelled his junior year.”

“Why was he expelled?” I asked.

“Assault with a deadly weapon,” Calvin replied. “The school district paid Mitch’s parents a hefty sum to settle a lawsuit out of court. I was able to find a few old news articles on the incident, and it seems he threw a stapler at a teacher when he found out the teacher was sleeping with a student. The student in question was Mitch’s girlfriend.”

“A stapler?” I asked. “They considered a stapler a deadly weapon?”

“I had the same thought, but it could kill someone under the right circumstances,” Calvin replied. “I assume this is what his juvenile record was about.”

That didn’t give me enough to think he was a psycho who’d try to hurt Cami. There were plenty of teens who were hot-tempered enough to throw a stapler at a teacher who was sleeping with their girlfriend.

“Back then, he was going by Davis,” Calvin explained. “He started going by Mitch after high school, and I’m sure it had to do with the notoriety he gained as a teen.

“Notoriety for throwing a stapler?” I asked with a laugh.

“There were some who labeled him a hero,” Calvin explained. “After Mitch’s expulsion, he and his family fought to get the teacher fired for his inappropriate relationship with a student. Mitch’s girlfriend at the time even changed her tune and called Mitch her hero for standing up for her. She claimed the teacher used his authority to pressure her into a sexual relationship.”

“So, Mitch wasn’t a complete dick,” I mused.

“Not according to the articles written on him. After high school, Mitch started working at his father’s company. Unlike most kids who get jobs from their rich parents, it seems Mitch worked his ass off to quickly move up the ladder with no help from his dad. He married his high school sweetheart a year after graduation.”

“Is he still married?” I asked.

“No.” Calvin pulled out the next document. “They’ve been divorced for seven years. Mitch was arrested shortly before they separated and charged with assault.”

“He beat his wife?” I asked.

“He pled no contest to the assault charge and served no time,” Calvin explained. “After it happened, Mitch insisted his wife had tried to stab him, and he was defending himself. I guess she was a very sympathetic witness. There’s a lot of information about this case, mostly because about six months later, Mitch’s wife broke two of his ribs with a baseball bat before also smashing his windshield. She didn’t handle the divorce well.”

I hated that I felt a little sorry for Mitch. “I hope she went to jail.”

“She did,” Calvin replied. “She’s out now, and Mitch still has an active restraining order against her.”

“Do you have pictures of her in the file?” I asked, figuring it couldn’t hurt to make sure Cami watched out for her. It sounded like the bitch was batshit crazy.

“Sure do.” Calvin pulled out a photo and slid it across the desk. “All of Mitch’s criminal problems involve his ex-wife. I’m not convinced he’s a
danger to your friend.”

“Did you find anything that could explain why he’s so obsessed with Cami?” I asked.

“According to his secretary, who loves to gossip, Mitch’s father is pushing for him to get married and threatening to leave the company to his brother if Mitch doesn’t find a wife,” Calvin explained. “Mitch told his father he planned to marry Cami. I guess he was hoping to make it work.”

Cami would hate being a corporate wife, but Mitch was a dick who’d just been looking out for himself. I still hated the asshole less now that I knew he likely wasn’t a psychotic dick.

“Thanks for all you’ve done.” I stood and held out a hand to him.

He rose and took my hand. “Any time.”

As I headed out of the office, I was annoyed that there were still no answers about who’d caused Cami’s fall. The possibility that she might be hurt again made it even harder to think about being away for months. If anything happened to her, I’d never forgive myself.

I was about to call Cami to tell her what I’d learned when I noticed an urgent text from my sister. With a grin, I headed out to the car. It seemed I was going to be babysitting my nephews.

  Chapter 50

  Cami

I breathed a sigh of relief after ending my call with the police. They’d arrested a young man in connection with my fall. He’d recently made several threats against his mother, who worked in my building. There had also been a violent outburst in school. With any luck, he’d get the help he needed rather than just being sent to jail.

I was about to call Xander to update him when I decided to head over to his place. He’d told me he was going to be home most of the day, except for an early morning appointment. I’d been planning to work out, but I loved finding an excuse to avoid the gym, and I wanted to see Xander. It was becoming increasingly apparent that what we had was a lot more than friendship and sex. Neither of us had said anything yet. Likely, he was afraid of scaring me off. Two weeks ago, he probably would have, but I was beginning to think he was falling in love with me, not falling in love with some perfect girlfriend persona. As for me, I was falling for Xander.
