I nod to him as I turn back to go upstairs.

  ***

Waking up, I sit up with a pounding headache. There's a slender arm draped across my lap. Running my hand through my hair, I follow the arm and see it's Marissa, her blonde hair fanned out on the pillow.

Looking around with my squinted eyes, I see I'm at my apartment. How the fuck did I get home from my uncle's party? I don't remember a damn thing, but apparently I reached out to Marissa.

Laying back down I try and get my head on straight, what the fuck time is it? Lifting my phone I see it's 10:38 a.m., and I have a text from Andrea.

Andrea- Leave me alone Trent, I won't live like this. I don't even know who you are.

Ummmm...did I message her? Looking back to it and scrolling down, I see I did.

Trent- Who the hell do you think you are to leave me? I'm Trent fucking Zito, who the fuck are you? You're no one and you'll be with me Andrea, mark my words.

Well, then she knows I'm not done.

I see the card from Ed sitting next to where my phone was. Picking it up, I look at it.

  Ed Rowenski

  Entertainment Inc.

  (313) 222-5854

What did he think would be good for my kinks? Driving strippers around? My curiosity is definitely peaked and I can't help but feel like I should give him a call. Getting up, I leave Marissa laying there and take my phone to the kitchen to make some coffee. Dialing the number on the card, I hold the phone between my shoulder and cheek and go about making my morning must have.

“Ed speaking.” Comes down the line.

  “Hey Ed, it's Trent Zito.”

“Good morning Trent, how are you feeling today?”

“I'm a little rough for the wear but nothing I can't handle. I’m curious to know more about this business opportunity you have for me.”

“Ahhh, curiosity. How about we meet later this evening and I can show you?”

“I can do that. Where do you want me to meet you?”

“It has to be discreet. How about Bangkok 96 down on Telegraph by Cherry Hill?”

“I can do that. What time do you want to meet? I can always go for some Thai.”

“Can't we all? Let's say 6:00. Come alone and don't let anyone know about this. It's imperative.”

  “I'll see you then.”

Marissa comes out wearing one of my T-shirts. She gives me a saucy little smile as she sees me. “I was missing you,” she whines to me as she walks closer.

“Making coffee and taking care of business,” I tell her as I pour myself some coffee and walk past her. She just huffs and walks over to where I've sat on the couch.

“What do you want from me, Marissa? What are you planning to accomplish here? You outed me last night to Andrea and royally fucked my life and my plans.”

“You don't need her, Trent. How do you know that baby is even yours? We've always had a good thing. Why are you wasting your time on a mousy girl that can't give you what you need?”

“I need to get you out of here and I need you to leave me alone.”

“Don't be like that, Trent,” she whines as she sits on the coffee table in front of me. Spreading her legs to show me she's naked under my shirt, she gives me a little mischievous grin.

“Not gonna work, Marissa, I got shit to do and you need to go. I need to get my life back together and I need to get Andrea back from Carter. I won't let him win.”

“Oh, I can take care of Carter again. He wasn't so shy when I came on to him last time. Only this time I already know where he lives.”

“You know, you think with that dirty little twat of yours just about as much as a man thinks with his cock.”

“Why do you think I know what cocks want?” She puts her feet on each of my thighs and lays back on the table, showing me the slice of pie I love so much.

I look away and take a sip of my coffee.

Just as she's pushing her hand into herself to tease me, there's a knock on the apartment door.

Moving her feet off of me I get up and walk to the door, adjusting my hard-on. Opening it, I see Andrea on the other side, with Carter close behind her.

“Told you that you couldn't stay away.” I smirk at her as she looks at me and down to the floor.

“I just want my stuff. I won't be back, Trent.”

“Come on in,” I tell her as I step back and wave her through.

She hesitates and looks back to Carter before coming in. He just puts his hand on her shoulder and follows in behind her.

“Oh hi,” Marissa says as she passes the living room. She's now sitting up with my coffee cup in her hand.

Andrea doesn't say a word and just walks to my room to get her clothes she left here.

“Hi, Carter,” Marissa says with a wink as he stands there, arms crossed making sure I don't follow Andrea.

I go to step by him and he puts his hand to my chest, eyebrow cocked in a warning.

“I need to talk to her, I owe her that.”

He moves his hand and lets me pass.

Walking in my room, I see Andrea with her backpack she left here in her hand. She's gathering her things from the bathroom attached to my room and shoving them in.

“I don't want to talk, Trent, there's nothing else to say,” she says over her shoulder.

I sit on my bed and try and gather what to say.

“Come back, Andrea. I'll get my shit together, I swear. I have to have you and my baby in my life, you can't shut me out.”

“You're right, Trent. I can't shut you out of the baby’s life. But I don't have any room for you in mine. I won't be the fool.”

I get up and walk to her and she steps back nervously.

I just cup her face in my hands as she trembles and looks to the floor. I lean my forehead to hers as she shuts her eyes, her chin quivering with her emotion.

“I'll fix this, for all of us. You'll see, you'll be my wife, Andrea.”

She pulls her face from my grasp as she steps back. She just laughs sarcastically and points to Marissa's pile of clothes on the floor. Then her underwear hanging from the lamp next to the bed.

Shaking her head, she lifts the bag to her shoulder and walks out.

Following her out, I decide to let her go. For now.

I pull up to Bangkok 96 at 5:50 p.m. to meet Ed. Going in, I see he has a table in the back of the small inside space of their dining area.

“Welcome to Bangkok,” the hostess says as I walk in.

“Hi, I'm meeting someone and I see he's already seated.”

“Very good.” She smiles to me as I walk to the table.

Standing up, Ed reaches his hand out to me. “Glad you came, Trent.”

“I'm not sure what I'm getting into, but I'm game to see what you've got for me.” I sit down across from him at the table.

Picking up the menu, I see some of the familiar Thai dishes I've had before from other places.

“This place blows every other Thai place out of the water,” Ed tells me as he sets his menu to the end of the table.

“I'll hold you to it.” I smirk and find what I'm ordering.

The waitress comes over in her traditional Thailand dress. “You ready to order?”

Ed looks to me and nods the go ahead.

“I'll have the N2 and the Bangkok 96 fried rice,” I tell her, unsure of how to pronounce the rest of what's written.

She just nods her head and looks to Ed.

“Excellent choice, I'll have the same. Two Cokes too, please,” he says and I just nod in agreement.

As she leaves with our menus, he looks back to me. “I'm looking for someone to head the operation of ours on this side of town. You get to sample the product before anyone to know it's premium enough for the money we seek for the services we provide. I can make you a very wealthy man, Mr. Zito, along with feeding something that you need fed often. Kinks, sex, and power.”

“And what is it that you do?”

  “My job is with Wayn
e County, and I operate with this side hobby under the radar. I can't have it known what I do or I could lose my job and definitely do some time. I have a son and I can't let that happen.”

  “Who else is involved?”

“We have some low-key players that I trust to keep quiet as long as I keep them paid. I provide services to city officials with the same side as you. They are married and we operate discreetly under the radar for their sake. They invest with us well.”

The drinks and rice arrive then so he sits back quietly.

“I can show you some of the operation when we leave here. Your little friend from the party was eager to join in. It isn't often we find ladies that want to make the money our services provide. I know you seek power. I can feel it coming off you and I witnessed it the way you got off on her,” he says grinning at the memory.

This guy is definitely a creep, but I'm more than wondering what this little operation is now.

“I'd like you to show me, please. I need to see what I'm getting into. I've made a mess I need to clean up, and I need to make sure there isn't further damage. I've already lost the girl that was to be my wife to her ex.”

“Mmm, yes, to Avery. I saw him at the party and leaving with your little morsel. I wouldn't sniff too far that way if I were you. Just let her go, son,” he says seriously.

“I have plans that include her and the family we will share.”

“Plans change, Trent. Life evolves and you don't have room for her or a child in the world I'm about to show you.”

“I don't see how the things I need in my life will, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.”

“Avery is a puddle you don't want to wade in. I know him well and work with him. I'm risking a lot just having this meeting with you but I'm pretty sure you will join me. Let her go and let him have her. If he tires of her, then it's your time, if not, then you can't afford to seek trouble with him attached.”

We finish our meal and head out to the small parking lot now darkened in the early evening. Looking around, he tells me to follow him. Driving down Telegraph toward Michigan Ave, he gets off on the exit and heads back toward Inkster. Where the fuck is this guy taking me?

He pulls in to a seedy motel on the strip and parks in the back. I follow and park my truck next to him. He gets out and looks around the barely lit lot.

“Follow me, I'll show you just what we have operating tonight. Remember, if you want this job then you get first samples.”

I just nod and follow him to one of the motel room doors facing the parking lot. We walk past a couple of guys standing outside smoking and looking around. These are big guys and look like pro wrestlers. I'm even more curious now.

The guys just nod as we pass, and he uses a key to open the door. I'm not prepared for what's on the other side.

Walking in there are two double beds to the left, a bathroom vanity straight ahead, and a table to my right with some chairs around it.

The room had about five people in it ranging from suits to complete greaseballs. There's a girl laying naked on one of the beds, a girl on the next bed being railed from behind by a big burly looking guy while sucking a guy kneeled in front of her, and another sitting at the table just smoking a cigarette.

Everyone looks our way as we come in the room. I can't seem to tear my eyes from the scene in here.

“Trent, welcome to the rabbit hole. Pussy of all ages and colors, and guys with all types of pay ranges willing to pay for their time.”

“So you want me to be a pimp,” I say, turning back to him.

“Not necessarily. Some of these girls are paid and love the job. Others, well we know they will go for a high bid and get trafficked through us to the men who seek them. All in all, we all get paid and work the kinks we seek.”

Nodding, I just step back and watch.

Money is being handled on the table, and it seems there is bargaining with the girl on the bed for what's to be her services tonight.

She keeps looking to me like I'm in this. I don't pay for pussy when I can so easily get it from any line of ladies. Thanks to Marissa's big mouth all the girls know my kinks and aren't afraid to voluntarily give their services.

“Trent here is seeing the operation here for the first time. I’m hoping he's the guy that wants to keep it all in line for us over this way. Hoping to sell him to come on with us, how about you let him sample the new girl?” Ed says next to me.

“What do you say, Trent? Want to break the little Philly in over there?”

The girl on the bed springs to action. With little effort, she pulls her blonde hair back in a ponytail and saunters my way.

She's got some curves to her hips, tits on the smaller side, and the landing strip shaved into her pussy matches the drapes. She's got a fire in her as she comes my way and seemingly goes about making me the man that shows her what I want.

As she gets closer to me, I look down into her green eyes. She's a little on the shorter side compared to my 6 foot plus self.

Everyone seems to wonder just as I am, what she is setting out to do. That is until she drops to her knees, eye level with my cock. I'm not a man to complain having his cock sucked, and definitely not with people watching. It actually turns me the fuck on to be watched.

There's a chair in front of the window, so I sidestep her and go sit down. I crook my finger to her to come over as I free my cock from my jeans.

She stands up and moves over to kneel in between my spread thighs, licking her lips as she looks down to it.

I see some of the guys move closer to watch as she tentatively reaches her tongue out to lick the swollen tip and sinks me in her warm welcoming mouth.

I let her go down on me for a few minutes before I decide that I need to control this. She's good, but I like to be in charge. Wrapping my hand around that ponytail of hers, I stand up, making sure she chokes down all of me. Only way to break in a little shy girl is to show her you mean business when it comes to your cock.

EVERYTHING HAS PASSED by quickly for weeks and we are coming up on the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas are holidays that my family shares with Carter's family. I still haven't shared my news with my family yet, and Carter promises to be by my side for all of it.

I can't believe how stupid I have been. So reckless, as they would tell me. Not only am I pregnant, but I'm no longer with the guy who knocked me up.

I've been going to school, my student teaching, and either to my house or Carter's apartment on a routine. I'm trying to keep the stress down as much as possible. Still being in the first trimester is delicate, especially when I run myself ragged. I don't want to lose this baby and I can't wait to know if I'll have a boy or girl. Not knowing the way my life is exactly shaping up is so hard, but I'm doing well with Carter's help.

It doesn't seem right for me to just leash Carter to me and my now complicated life, even though he says he wants to be here for me and with me. My keeping him at a distance has been frustrating to him, I know, but he's so patient. Well, as patient as Carter Avery can be.

He's coming over later. I haven't seen him in a few days, much to his dismay. But I need to figure out my life, the life I'm bringing my child into.

Telling Carter no is something I have always had a hard time doing. He's just my person that I can always turn to. I missed him when we couldn't even speak as friends.

He's had a rough go at work lately, he told me all about his new partner Nick and the grueling workload they've been thrown together on.

He still tries to distance himself between work and me, a mistake he learned from when he left it on his shoulders and took his frustrations out on me. It's broken us before.

“You can't keep hiding away, Starfish,” Carter tells me as he walks in my house.

On a sigh, I walk from the door to the couch and plop down. “I'm not hiding, Carter. I just want to figure out where my life is going. I thought my life was going pretty well until a few weeks ago but then I was slapped in th
e face.”

He doesn't let me do this, he never has. One doesn't push Carter Avery away. “I hear you, I've heard in your voice how hurt and shattered you are. This isn't the happy girl I've always known you to be. But you need to listen to me and listen to me good, Andrea Jensen.”

“I'm listening.” I sigh in a deep breath.

“Life is shitting on you right now, but don't let it. Use this as your fuel, use this to make you rise that much higher. You're going to be a mom to that lucky little baby,” he says, pointing to my stomach. “When life gives you a million reasons to lay down and let it run you over, then stand up and tell it to back the fuck off because you aren't finished yet.”

  “Carter,” I start.

“No, you don't get to just give up. I won't let you. You aren't alone, you'll never be alone because you have me. Push me away all you want to. I'm not going anywhere. I love you, I always have and I'm going to make it my life's mission to show you,” he says as he reaches down and grabs my hand.

I look down to our hands and then back up to him. He isn't going to let me go down. He wants to be here. He doesn't deserve to take on the trouble I've made for myself.

“Carter, I don't know where I would be sometimes in life without your strength. But I did this, I made this mess.”

“I won't let you do that. Take blame for something that happened in your life. You were actually happy and you were duped. It wasn't you, it was him.”

“I was stupid to not see it, to not take the warnings when I heard it. But I won't be stupid again Carter, I can't be.”

“And that right there is the smart girl I've always known,” he says with a finger touch to my nose.

I can't help the small laugh that escapes, this is how we always were. I've missed it, I've missed this. “Thank you for being here when you don't have to be.”

“I don't have to be, I want to be and that's the difference. Now get up, I'm taking you to eat. It's been a long day and I just want to spend time with you.”

“I'd like that.” I get up from the couch to grab my purse and phone. I see I have a text message. Opening it up I see it's from Trent. On a small sigh, I read it.
