He came with a shout, shooting his cum into the back of her throat. It triggered her orgasm, and she came with a scream as well. She tried to make it last by pushing her thumb hard down on her clit, so, so hard it was like his cock pushing down on her pussy.
The thought made her shiver, made her come harder, and she sucked his cock with all her might.
“Fuck.” Stavros’ huge muscular body shuddered in her hold, giving her a heady sense of power.
He fell heavily against the bed, taking her with him, Willow draped over his chest like his own porcelain doll.
Silence fell.
She wanted to ask him the silliest questions, things she knew from the books she had read and edited she shouldn’t ever ask a man who didn’t love her.
Did you like it? Was it good for you? Will you call me tomorrow? How soon?
She bit her lip hard until it started to bleed. Until her eyes started to droop. Until sleep allowed both of them to escape.
****
When she woke up, he was fully dressed and on his way to the door. She sat up. “Stavros?” She couldn’t believe her eyes. Surely, surely he wasn’t leaving her just like that? After last night?
Stavros inhaled sharply at the tremulous sound of Willow’s voice. Fuck. This was exactly what he had hoped to avoid. Slowly, he turned around.
She was clutching the sheets to her naked body, her hair a wild dark cloud around her face while fear shone in her eyes.
It made him feel wrong, even when he damn well knew he wasn’t. Hadn’t they fucking agreed this was only going to be a one-night stand?
“How are you feeling?”
The reluctant and cold attempt at small talk sickened Willow. “You’re really leaving?” she whispered.
“Am I not supposed to?” he asked flatly.
Looking at him, more silly questions crowded into her mind.
Why? Is it me? Is there something I can do or say to stop you from leaving?
But in the end, Willow swallowed all of them back.
She was hurt, but she only had herself to blame. Not Stavros. But herself. She, Willow, had asked for this. Had made him change his mind. Had said yes even when he told her it could only be one time and that he’d be leaving the damn country the next day.
It wasn’t his fault one touch from him made her forget everything, made her dream of something when there was nothing from the start.
Slowly, she shook her head. “No,” Willow heard herself say. “You’re free to leave of course.” She looked down at her hands.
Stavros cursed, and he cursed again when he saw her flinch. “I told you, didn’t I?” he asked savagely.
Still not looking at him, she said tightly, “And I told you I’m not stopping you from leaving, didn’t I?”
He snarled, “Just because you’re not saying anything—”
She said tiredly, “Just go, Stavros. It’s okay. I’ll be okay.”
Was she? And was he?
He didn’t know the answers to those things. But what Stavros did know was Willow’s words made her seem so fucking strong and him so fucking weak.
He closed his eyes. Remembered her words.
You’ve got a type, too, you know. The type who tells himself he’s in love with a woman, even when he’s not, because the truth is, he just lacks the guts to risk his heart.
It seemed like a fucking lie last night.
But now?
After one night with Willow?
She was right. He hadn’t really been in love with Mairi If he had, it would have been exactly like she said. He fucking wouldn’t step down without fighting for her with his life.
All she had been was a girl he had put on a pedestal, and she had stayed there for years. Not because he loved her, but because he needed to think he did.
And now?
He gazed at Willow, noted the way her eyes were glassy, the way her lips shook, the way her knuckles had turned so white with the way she gripped the sheets to her naked body.
What if it was the other way around this time? What if Willow wasn’t just a distraction?
Everything in him shunned the only possible answer that shimmered in the distance.
NO.
He didn’t do this kind of shit, and if that made him a fucking type of person, then yes, he was that type of person. An asshole who would rather hurt an innocent girl than make himself vulnerable to the greatest hurt in the world.
When Stavros looked at her, she couldn’t help it. She held her breath. She waited, expected, hoped. She saw in his eyes he knew exactly what she was feeling, and she hoped even more.
“I hope I never see you again.”
Her heart shattered.
Stavros spun away and stalked out of the room.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
He couldn’t get her face out of his mind.
Stavros punched the wall next to the elevator. The urge to go back to the room, to beg for Willow’s forgiveness, tore at him, but in the end, he did none of it.
He was Stavros Manolis, a man renowned for his legendary resolve. He was good at staying in control, even if it meant breaking his own heart and the woman who may already own it.

For a long moment, Willow could only remain still, alone in the bed she had once shared with Stavros. Was this…love? Was this…heartbreak?
She didn’t think so.
It didn’t seem as…beautiful as the books made it to be. And the pain wasn’t as...agonizing as the love songs made it seem.
Right now, it was all numbness, the world losing its color, everything turning a lifeless shade of gray.
Willow thought she really was okay until she brushed her hair away from her face. Her fingers came away wet when they grazed against her cheeks.
Ah.
She was crying. She hadn’t noticed it. But now that she did…
The tears fell faster.
She might not have been in love with Stavros, but she had thought they had something special.
Now she knew.
She was the only one who thought that.
Lesson learned, Willow.
There is still no one who wants you.

Several months later
“Come in,” Stavros said irritably when he heard the knock on his door.
The head of his security entered his office. “Another candidate’s just come. She’s been referred by Mr. Leventis. Would you like to see her resume, sir?”
“Just send her in,” he said unhesitatingly. Finally. Damen had promised him someone who would meet his every need. A tall order, but since the other man wasn’t known for having a sense of humor, perhaps it was true.
A knock sounded on the door once more. This time, he strove to keep his voice level. “Come in.” He shouldn’t scare this one away.
The door opened.
A woman stepped inside.
Stavros stilled in his seat. What. The. Fuck.
It was Willow.
She said quietly, “Good afternoon, Mr. Manolis.”
THE END OF THE PREQUEL
Both Stavros and Willow have scars from the past, hindering them from finding love. Learn what those scars are in Book 1: Dear Greek Billionaire and find out what happens when Willow becomes Stavros’ secretary.
Were bosses allowed to look at their secretaries that way?
27-year-old Stavros Manolis urgently needed a secretary of a certain calibre, and unfortunately, the only one who met his standards was a troublesome young woman who flouted authority whenever she could. She grated on his nerves, but she also made his blood quicken the way no woman had ever done.
24-year-old Willow Somerset knew she couldn’t afford to antagonize her Greek billionaire boss, but she couldn’t help it. He was so damn cold, she wanted to do everything to make him realize he was as human as the rest of them.
But what she hated even more was the way her body still wanted him, as if he wasn’t the same man wh
o had once left her.
Willow knew she would never have a chance with Stavros, but then one day, she caught him looking at her, in a way a boss should never look at his secretary.
Could he still want her, too?
Dear Reader,
Whether you’re old or new to my books, thank you for taking the time to read this book. I’d like to say that there won’t be any heartache or cliffhangers ahead of you, but I won’t lie. There will be lots of tears ahead. I’ve tried to write standalone novels only, but I found myself missing the emotional high that bittersweet endings give. I guess it’s because I know that’s how real life works. Sometimes, it hurts. And sometimes, you have no choice but to wait. In the end, if you fight for it hard enough, there’s always that end of the rainbow waiting for you.
Same with Stavros and Willow. They will have their happy-ever-after. They just need to go through the same shit real-life couples do to get there.
If you enjoyed this book, I’d love it if you could leave a review. If you do, please let me know. Sometimes, I’m not working on a deadline, allowing me to reply right away. Other instances, it takes a bit of time. But I do reply because I genuinely look forward to hearing from every one of you.
So please drop me a line, even if you haven’t written a review. Just say hi. You can reach me via my Facebook page, email, website, Twitter, or Instagram.
