“And how, pray tell, am I supposed to do that?” she asked playfully.

Jonathan almost spit out his coffee. “Oh, Melody, whatever you come up with, I’ll be willing to oblige you.”

“However,” Gabriel said with a grin, “today we’re going to experience Kingda Ka and El Toro.”

“Hell ya,” Constantine said, jumping up from the table. “That’s a great idea. Melody’s going to love it!”

“Love what?” She couldn’t imagine what kind of sexual toys or positions or whatever they might be referring to. She trembled slightly.

“How do you feel about roller coasters? Tall, long, dropping roller coasters?”

She looked at Gabriel, somewhat stunned.

“Not exactly what you were thinking?” he teased.

“I’ve never been on a roller coaster?”

“This, my beautiful Melody,” Gabriel said, reaching across the table to grab her hand, “is your lucky day.”

  * * * *

Melody stood looking up at the biggest, scariest erector set she had ever seen.

“Kingda Ka is the tallest steel roller coaster in the world. And it’s right here in New Jersey,” Gabriel said, his voice hushed as if speaking in a church as he followed her gaze.

“I’m not so sure about this,” she said, genuinely scared. This was a monster roller coaster and hearing the screams of the people riding it didn’t help ease her fears.

“This is a must, Melody,” Jonathan said squeezing her hand. “It’s scary, but it’s crazy good. It reaches speeds up to 128 miles an hour. Not as good as sex. But damn close.”

For some reason the lines weren’t that long and they reached the platform well in advance of Melody’s nerves having calmed down. She wanted to run, but the three of them were not going to take no for an answer. Gabriel found his way to the front of the train with Constantine who jumped in beside him.

Jonathan nodded to her to get in the seat behind them. With a feeling of trepidation, she got in. A kid that looked like he was in high school tested their restraints. She hoped he knew what he was doing.

When the roller coaster began to move forward, she closed her eyes. This was going to be bad, really bad.

“It’s worse if you close your eyes,” Jonathan whispered in her ear.

“I can’t look,” she cried out.

“Open your eyes,” he ordered. “We’re climbing the tower. You need to see where we’re going to really appreciate where it’s going to take us.”

“You’re really bossy,” she snapped as she opened them and found herself looking straight up. She couldn’t say another word, but she didn’t close her eyes either. Gabriel and Constantine turned to smile back at her. They both looked like a couple of kids on Christmas morning.

From the moment they descended the tower, all she did was scream as they soared over the tracks in whipping turns and dips that had her stomach in her throat. It was just like Jonathan had described. However, to crazy good, she would have to add wickedly terrifying. She knew she would do it again, but for now she was glad when they pulled back to the platform.

Gabriel and Constantine helped Melody out of the car. She was wobbly. Once they reached the ground, they led her to a seat in a café and brought her something to drink.

“You look a little pale,” Gabriel said, concerned. “Didn’t you like it?”

“Was it too much for you,” Constantine asked. She could hear the worry in his voice. “We thought you’d like it.”

“I just needed to catch my breath. I can’t believe how it made me feel. I was weightless and my body was pushed and pulled with such force that I actually lost my breath. But…”

  “But what?” Jonathan asked hopefully.

“But the feeling of acceleration was unbelievable. It was awesome. I loved it!”

All three men looked immediately relieved. “We so wanted you to like it,” Gabriel said, his face flushed. She was reminded of what he must have looked like as a little boy.

They took their time and went to see a show with seals and dolphins. It was fun. After, they asked if she might like to go on El Toro. This time she wasn’t nearly as scared but was excited.

Before the day was over, they had gone on the roller coasters a few more times and by the time darkness was descending, Melody was exhausted.

Gabriel called for their car and the four of them piled into the backseat. She wasn’t sure who she was leaning against but when her eyes opened and she saw the lights of the city passing by them, she was totally wrapped up in the arms of all three men. Jonathan to her right, Gabriel to her left, and Constantine beneath her, holding her in his lap. She couldn’t believe they had all fallen asleep considering they didn’t look all that comfortable.

She admired their good looks, but it was their faces that had been filled with excitement and anticipation of playing in a theme park that made her heart melt. She could see them taking their children on their first roller coaster ride.

A wave of sadness overcame her. She wanted that child to be hers, too. There was no doubt if she didn’t harness her emotions, she was going to get hurt.

  Chapter Nineteen

The next two weeks went by in a whirlwind for Melody. She had moved out of her apartment, moved in with her three men, had a few meetings with Magnet Records and Max to confirm the details of her upcoming recording session, and went shopping for clothes with Jonathan and Constantine in tow. They had insisted she let them help her pick out her clothes. She knew she should have been insulted, but they were excited about dressing her and, she had to blush…mostly about undressing her. Gabriel had said he would be no help and left it all up to them.

The sex had been almost non-stop and she couldn’t believe they weren’t tired of her yet. But then again, she wasn’t tired of them either. When they did go to work, she spent the day writing music and sometimes went out for a walk. Matilda took very good care of her. She found the older women to be kind and nonjudgmental. She liked her and it seemed Matilda liked her, too. When she had asked her to teach her how to cook, the older woman had readily agreed. Her own mother had never had the time or patience to teach her to cook or she was afraid that Arthur would find fault. Matilda seemed happy to pass on her culinary secrets.

She couldn’t believe it was already Friday and this would be her last weekend before she began recording. She had helped Matilda make a stew that she said was the boys’ favorite. Melody hardly thought of them as boys, but Matilda had known them for years. They had spent a good deal of time with their grandfather when they were children. When he died, the apartment was left to them along with Matilda’s services. Their sister, Marybeth, according to Matilda, had received the house in Puerto Rico.

Gabriel and Constantine didn’t talk too much about Marybeth or their parents. Of course, most of their time together was spent teaching her how to please and be pleased. She had been cuffed, blindfolded, tied up, and lightly spanked. Nipple clamps, vibrators, and genital clamps were used with limits. There had been no flogging and they did have a safe word. She wanted to do what they wanted, but a cold fear would overcome her when it came to whipping or flogging and as if sensing it, they had not pursued it.

Running her hand along the wooden banister, she walked slowly up the stairs to her room. They each had their own bedroom and then they had The Chamber. That was where they had sex most of the time. It was filled with toys. She had no idea when they first approached her just how sophisticated their tastes were in this area.

However, she learned quickly to kneel when they took her into the room. She knew she had to first remove her clothing and fold it before she knelt directly in front of them with her eyes cast downward. She was also required to have her legs spread far apart enough so that they could see her pussy. She then had to clasp her hands behind her head and wait for them to tell her what to do next.

At first, she had thought it all so silly, but as she became accustomed to it, she found it stimulated her every sense. Before th
ey even touched her, she was always wet and if she were truthful, she looked forward to kneeling and waiting in anticipation of what was to come. She also enjoyed stripping in front of them. She liked being watched. Sometimes when she really thought about how much she had changed in such a short period of time, it was as if she had never really been herself until now.

She liked pleasing them with her body. She knew that Constantine loved it when she sucked on his balls and Gabriel would go all dark and lustful when she kissed his nipples. Jonathan loved to take her ass and she enjoyed it. But it was when they took her together, forcing her to her limits, that she had found the most pleasure. Sometimes, she felt like the sheer wonderment of pain mixed with pleasure might stop her heart.

Just thinking about their dominant side and how easily she submitted to it was making her wet and needy. They literally took her breath away. She was attracted to everything about them, but when they held her together or had their arms around her in bed or even when she was walking down a street with them, that’s when she could easily get lost in their touch without sex being involved. It was weird how she sometimes just craved their presence.

After this weekend things would have to change. She would be working during the day. There would be no time to prepare for them. This would be the test of how long they wanted her around. She was living with them, but in her mind it was very temporary. She knew if she needed to, she could go to a hotel and find an apartment quickly. She had looked around already and even knew a few of the places she would call. The only bad thing about a relationship like the one they had was the fear of losing it.

She sat down in front of her vanity in her own bedroom and combed her hair. They liked it long and flowing or in a ponytail. It was easy to grab and pull when they brought her to them. She had already slipped on a black thong and a matching black lace bra. The dress she was going to wear was hanging on the door of her closet. Jonathan had picked it out from her closet last night. It was dark lavender with a low-cut back. It was also shorter than what she would normally wear. Gabriel was a leg man, and he had told her that hers were exceptional. She slid on her pantyhose before she slid the dress over her head and then held onto to the dresser while she sank her feet into a pair of black spike high heels that showed off her legs but could possibly unbalance her if she wasn’t careful.

She returned to her vanity to apply her makeup. A bit of blush, mascara, and eyeliner along with cherry lip gloss completed her efforts. She looked at the woman staring back at her. She was happier than she had ever been in her life, and it scared her. She never thought she’d feel like this.

Before she could dwell on her own good fortune further, she heard her name being called from downstairs. It was Gabriel. He was home. She wanted to run, but she walked with care so she would not topple over. She took her time to walk down the stairs slowly. He was at the bottom, watching her every move. He made her nervous. She prayed she wouldn’t fall.

He held out his hand to her when she reached the bottom of the staircase, his eyes devouring her in one gulp. She wanted to be naked in his arms and for him to make love to her. With a start, she let what she had just thought sink into her head again. Making love? What they had was erotic, sensational sex laced with kink. She loved it, but it wasn’t making love. They didn’t love her. And she didn’t love them, but she sure liked them a lot. That’s the way it was, wasn’t it?

Gabriel drew her to him and kissed her long and hard. She melted into him, pressing herself against his hard chest. His arms wrapped around her, bringing her even closer. The heels made her taller, more his equal, and yet at that moment she had never felt more his submissive. She wanted to be on her knees. She wanted him to control her with his tongue, his body, and eyes. She was his in every way, and that was a problem. She pulled away from him. His eyes narrowed.

  “What’s wrong, Melody?”

“I thought I was about to fall out of my damn heels,” she lied.

He laughed. “You know I love how they make your legs look, but not at the expense of a broken leg. Go change into something more comfortable while I get a shower.” He kissed her on the nose and patted her across the rump. She jumped, and before she knew what he was doing he had hauled her back in his arms. She watched, confused, as he kneeled down in front of her. He slowly took one and then the other of her shoes off.

“I want you to get rid of these. You don’t need them to make your legs beautiful. You’re beautiful barefoot. It doesn’t matter what you wear. You’re always going to look perfect.”

“Why, Gabriel,” she said softly. “What a lovely thing to say to me.”

  “I mean it, Melody.”

  “I think you’re perfect, too.”

He stood back up and kissed her. It wasn’t the kind of kiss she was used to. Desperate and wild was the norm. This one was slow and sensual, with a longing that made her want so much more. Damn him. She checked her tears. She was in love with Gabriel Roman. She was also every bit as much in love with Constantine and Jonathan. She loved all three men. How was she going to keep from getting her heart broken?

  Chapter Twenty

Jonathan sat at his desk and looked out the window. There were so many things he could be doing, but all he could think about was Melody. This would be their last weekend together before she started going to the studio every day to cut her record. She had proven to be everything and more than he had expected.

He knew it was the same for Gabriel and Constantine, too. They had never thought they were going to find a woman that all three of them would want equally. It wasn’t like they hadn’t had their share of women together and separately. The ones they had taken together had been professionals who knew the score. It had been satisfying, but it had left them wanting something they had begun to think they weren’t going to find.

He looked down at his cell phone that was vibrating on his desk. It was Constantine. They were supposed to have lunch today.

“We still on for lunch today?” Jonathan asked.

“Yeah, and it looks like Gabriel will be joining us. The client settled out of court. I guess he knew he better take the deal. You want to meet at The Top of Liberty? They usually have a pretty good lunch menu.”

“I like the atmosphere. You never feel rushed. See you there, say around one o’clock.”

They hung up, and Jonathan forced himself to put Melody out of his head so he could concentrate on his work. When his alarm went off for lunch, he had accomplished more than he thought he would. He wasn’t far from the restaurant and arrived first. He got them a table and ordered himself a beer while he waited.

Within a few minutes the brothers were shown to the table. They were dressed like lawyers, expensive suits, cuff links, tie clips, and Italian leather shoes. He could have cared less about looks when it came to how he dressed. He had on a jacket and a pair of khaki pants. He wore loafers that were a bit scuffed up. But as long as he was making money for the company, he didn’t have to adhere to a dress code.

“You didn’t order already did you?” Constantine asked as they sat down.

“Just a beer. If I remember, they have a great steak sandwich.”

“Sounds good to me,” Gabriel said, picking up a menu the waitress had just dropped off.

They ordered the steak sandwiches for the table and a pitcher of beer. Jonathan sat back and let out a sigh. “Okay. I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve got to talk about her. She’s all I think about. Tell me I’m not alone here.”

“You’re not alone,” Gabriel said. “She’s all I think about, too.”

  “Count me in,” Constantine nodded.

“So, what do we do?” Jonathan knew exactly what he wanted to do. However, he didn’t want to unduly influence Constantine or Gabriel. They had to be totally on board or it wouldn’t work.

“I like things the way they are,” Gabriel said. “She seems happy. Why rock the boat?”

“I don’t want to rock the boat, but I’ll be honest,” he said, real
izing he was just going to have to show his cards, “I think I’m falling for this girl. I think I did the moment I met her.”

“Slow down,” Gabriel said, “let’s back up a minute. We haven’t known her that long for one, and two, she’s an innocent in many ways. She might bolt and run if we lay a lot of heavy shit on her. I mean, she’s incredible, there’s no denying it, but she’s had a lot to adjust to since she’s met us. I don’t want to scare her, and I think we need more time to figure things out.”

“I agree with Gabriel for the most part,” Constantine said slowly. “I also think like Jonathan. I’m more into Melody then I’ve ever been into anybody. She’s so fucking perfect for us it makes my head spin. Do you know that Matilda has been teaching her how to cook our favorite dishes?”

“Did she tell you that?” Jonathan asked.

“No. Matilda let it slip and made me promise not to let Melody know I knew. It seems she wants to keep it as a secret surprise. Matilda loves her.”

“That’s saying a lot,” Gabriel said with a smile. “I don’t think Matilda’s ever liked anyone we brought home before.”

“You know”—Constantine nodded—“I think you’re right. She never has.”

“Just goes to show you that I’m right and she could be the one for us. She’s on my mind constantly. I feel like we need to marry the girl just so I can have a normal life again.” Jonathan grinned.

The waitress brought their order. Jonathan was glad they had settled on the steak sandwiches. They were delicious. After a few minutes, he wiped his mouth.

  “So what’s the game plan?”

“I think we should just play things by ear and keep doing what we’re doing. I don’t think we should make any sudden moves. As much as we think we know her, we’re still learning just like she’s learning from us. Most couples date for months and some for years before they get serious.”

“Well, we’re different and she’s different. I believe I read somewhere that some of the best marriages happened in less than a year of meeting. When it’s right, it’s right.”
