She slammed her locker shut and pulled on her coat and picked up her bag and flowers and after saying her goodbyes and a round of cheering and mocking from the other mechanic over the flowers, she headed out the front door.
She decided she was going to call Cole and thank him for the flowers and see where things go from there. She called up his name on her directory and took a deep breath before she pressed call.
“Ally,” a voice came from behind her, making her jump with fright. She spun around and her heart dropped to see Jason standing there.
“Jason!” she exclaimed. “What are you doing here?”
“I wanted to see you, I’ve missed you,” he said taking a nervous step closer to her. “You got the flowers, I see.”
“You sent them?” Ally asked unable to keep the disappointment from her voice.
“Of course,” he replied looking at her confused. “Who else would it have been?”
“No one else,” She lied. She looked down at the flowers and her anger grew. She didn’t want his damn flowers. She didn’t want him. She held the flowers out for him to take them from her. “But you really shouldn’t have sent these Jason. Please just take them and go.”
“I want you to have them” he insisted refusing to take them. “Ally, this is stupid, can’t we just talk?” Jason pleaded as he reached out and brushed her cheek softly with the back of his fingers.
“There is nothing left to say,” she sighed. “You really shouldn’t have sent these flowers Jason. I can’t go back there. You hurt me. I can never trust you again and if we don’t have trust, what’s the point? Please just take the flowers and go,” she insisted, pushing the vase into his chest.
“The point is I love you, Al,” he snapped, grabbing the flowers from her and throwing them in temper across the car park. Sound of the glass vase hitting the ground and shattering made Ally jump with fright.
“Are you happy now?” he growled before he turned back to Ally, taking hold of her by the arms. “Ally, I love you!”
“I don’t feel the same,” Ally said and she tried to step back and free herself from his hold but he just held her tighter.
“Please, don’t do this,” He said gripping her arms even hard still, his voice was filled with a mix of hurt and anger. “Don’t do this to us. This isn’t over. You are mine, when are you going to see that.”
“Jason, please, you are hurting me!” Ally cried as both fear and anger rose in her body. “Please let me go. It’s over!”
“IT ISN’T OVER TILL I SAY IT’S OVER” he shouted angrily gripping Ally so tightly she cried out in pain. Ally wished she had chosen the heavier coat, apart from the cold December air cutting through her, her heavier coat would have prevented Jason from digging his fingers into her arms so hard.
“Ally, you okay, sweetheart?” Sid’s voice came from behind them and Jason released Ally immediately.
“I’m fine. Thank you, Sid,” She replied grateful for her friend’s great timing. “Jason is just leaving.”
Then turning back to Jason she stared at him and trying to sound a lot calmer than she felt.
“Goodbye, Jason,” she said as firmly as she could.
“Bye, Ally,” he fumed at being disturbed before he had made her see sense. He raked his hands through his hair before he turned and headed back toward his parked car. Ally and Sid stood and watched Jason as he climbed into his 3 series BMW and drove away.
“You ok, Ally?” Sid whispered as he moved closer to her, making her jump.
“I’m fine,” she replied and forced a smile.
“Come on, I’ll walk you to your car,” he said and they both turned and headed towards Ally car parked down the back of the car park.
“I thought you guys broke up?” he said as they walked side by side.
“We did!” Ally sighed. “He just seems to be having a little trouble excepting it.”
“Ally, if he gives you any crap,” Sid said turning to her as they reached her car, “you tell me and I will kick his ass until he gets the message.”
“Thanks, Sid,” she smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
“No problem, Al,” he replied and he gave her his usual big grin and Ally couldn’t help but grin back. “See you in the morning.”
Ally climbed into her car and watched as Sid walked over to his own car and climbed in. She started her car and pulled out of her space and headed for home.
As she drove she replayed her confrontation with Jason over and over again. He was not taking the break up very well. It’s been over three weeks now but he can’t seem to let it go. He had made her feel more than a little bit nervous when he grabbed her arms. She was so grateful that Sid walked out when he did.
But then the reality finally hit her. Jason had sent the flowers, not Cole, and that was the part that saddened her the most. Why couldn’t she just shake Cole from her mind? It was a fling. She wanted a fling and that’s what she got.
When she pulled into her parking space outside her apartment she sat for a moment in the darkness of her car. Suddenly she could feel tears pool in her eyes and as she quickly closed her eyes they broke free and trickled down her face.
She had no idea why she crying. She never cried. Crying was for weak people and she was not one of them. Yet she couldn’t hold the tears back and here she was, sitting in her car in the dark crying yet again.
And what made it worse she knew she was crying over Cole Bloody Thomas. She had told him to leave. She sent him packing because she knew what was coming.
But she missed him. She longed to hear his voice. After just two night she had become so addicted to everything about this man. She wanted him. She needed him.
She pulled her phone from her bag and brought up him up on her screen. Just reading his damn name made her heart beat faster. She looked at the number for a moment and then without thinking about it, she pressed call.
It rang once before she heard his voice.
“Hello” he said, he sound a little distracted but still just like she remembered. “Ally?”
Ally couldn’t breathe. She didn’t say a word. A sudden rush of panic swept over her and without think she hung up the phone and shoved it back into her bag and climbed out of the car. Her heart felt like lead in her chest.
When she crawled into bed a couple hours later she curled in a ball and tried her hardest not to think about him but once again he was all she could think about.
She looked over at her phone on her bedside table. She reached for it and sat up in the bed. She brought his name up on the screen once again and she just stared at it. She pressed call.
“Hello,” his velvet voice purred through her phone. But once again she couldn’t speak. She wanted to tell him she had made a mistake but words failed her. But then to her surprise he added, “Ally, please talk to me,”
Ally couldn’t breathe.
“Ally,” He repeated but before he could say another word. She pressed end on the phone. She threw it down on the bed and pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. She sat quietly and stared at the phone.
Much to her shock it began to ring. Slowly she reach for the phone and picked it up. And sure enough Cole’s name flashed on the screen. She stared at it for a moment before she hit the power button and shut her phone off.
She couldn’t talk to him. What would she even say? She put her phone back on her night stand and curled up in her bed. After what seemed like forever she could feel her eye lids grow heavier as she slowly drifted off to sleep.
When she slept, he filled her dreams as well as her every waking thought. This was not a good thing.
Wednesday dragged by, too, but Ally was relieved that Cole hadn’t tried to call her again. He had left two voice messages in her phone the night before. The first was simple said. “Ally, talk to me.” The second was just a sigh before the phone hung up.
She decided she was not going to ring him again. She needed to let him go.
There were a couple
of messages from Hannah and Caitlin whom were both becoming concerned she hadn’t returned their calls or texts in days. She sent them both a quick text telling them she had been swamped with work and was exhausted and that she would try to call them both that evening.
“You ready to go, Ally?” Sid asked as she slammed her locker door closed.
“Yeah,” Ally replied looking at him in confusion. “Why?”
“Just want to make sure you get to your car safely,” he replied and smiled.
They walked out to Ally’s car and she was surprised just how relived she was Jason wasn’t waiting outside and more relieved she had Sid with her. She really didn’t fancy another show down with Jason tonight.
When she reached her apartment she climbed out of her car and headed into her building. She still couldn’t shake this funk she was in. Cole Bloody Thomas she thought to herself.
She stepped off the lift on to her floor and made her way to her apartment door. She quickly slipped the key in the locked and opened the door and stepped inside. She was just about to push the door closed behind her when it was pushed opened abruptly from the far side and before she could even think. She was wrapped in someone ones arms and was suddenly pressed against the wall.
Panic washed over her but it was quickly replaced with desire when the scent she had longed to smell filled her nose. She opened her eyes and found the same piercing blue eyes staring back at her.
“Cole!” she gasped when before his lips came crashing down over hers taking her breath.
“I tried to stay away,” he whispered when he broke his lips from hers, finally. “But you are like a drug and I just can keep away. I’ve missed you so much. Why did you call me and hang up. Why wouldn’t you talk to me? I know you missed me, too.”
He slammed his lips off hers again and pressed her tighter against the wall. He quickly dropped his hand and gripped her leg pulling it up to his side as he pressed his rock hard cock firmly against her groin.
“Cole, wait,” Ally said taking every ounce of strength inside her to stop him. “You can’t just turn up here and act like nothing happened. We slept together and you freaked out and I don’t know why.”
“I wanted to explain on Sunday but you didn’t want to hear it,” he whispered as he leaned his forehead against Ally’s. “I’m sorry if I hurt you,”
“I knew it was just a bit of fun. But you acted like I had said or done something wrong. That’s why I told you to leave, I knew what was coming. Now you turn back up here and I honestly don’t know what I am supposed to say...”
“Say you’ll give me a second chance,” he replied looking into her eyes. Ally opened her mouth to protest, but Cole silenced her with his tender fingers on her lips. “I know you don’t do second chances, Ally. And I know I really don’t deserve one. I know I freaked out, but I was scared.”
“You were scared?” she said surprised by his words.
“Fucking terrified,” he replied. “When you told me about this Jason guy I wanted to go and beat the crap out of him for hurting you. But that’s nothing compared to what I wanted to do to your father for hurting you as much as he has. I realised just how much you meant to me already and it scared the life out of me.”
Ally didn’t reply. She just stared at him in shock.
“Please, Ally,” he pleaded, embracing her tighter to him. “Give us a try.”
Without even giving it a second thought she pressed her lips to his softly.
“I missed you,” she whispered against his mouth. He had been all she had been able to think about for the past few days. He had gotten under her skin.
She pulled back from his arms and smiled up at him. “I need a shower,” she said stepping out of his grip. “Make yourself at home.”
She turned and headed to her bedroom. She quickly removed her clothes and headed into the en-suite. She opened the shower door and turned the water on. Stepping in she let hot water rundown her body and she smiled to herself.
She couldn’t believe that Cole had just turned up again. And she was completely taken back by his plea.
She leaned her face into the hot water and closed her eyes, unable to stop smiling.
She was startled when the shower door opened and a naked Cole stepped in behind her. Slipping his arms around her wet body as he pressed his lips against her shoulder
“Now this feels like home,” he said as he slid his hands up to her shoulders and down her arms until he reached her hands. He slowly lifted her hands and pressed them against the wall of the shower. He pressed his hard, throbbing, cock against her back side and Ally felt a thrill run through her body. She loved she affected him as much as he affected her.
“God, I have missed you so much,” he whispered breathlessly into her ear. He let go of her hands and reached around her until his hands cupped her breasts. His mouth pressed against her shoulder again before he trailed kisses up her neck until he reached her ear lobe and sucked it softly.
Ally’s legs began to shake and were quickly turning to jelly. It took all her strength to remain standing.
He suddenly dropped his hands down to her hips and grabbed them firmly and pulled her back a step as he slid his foot between her feet and pushed them further apart.
She could feel his erection against her bum as he pressed into her.
One of his hands dropped from her hip as he reached between them and she could fell him position himself against her opening and then he quickly grabbed her hip again as he eased into her.
Ally cried out as he pushed his entire length into her, hard. Her fingers splayed on the cold tile wall and she tried to support herself as he eased out of her and slammed into her again.
He moved at steady pace as he reached around in front of her and spread his hand against her inner thigh, letting his thumb find her swollen clitoris. He pressed his thumb against it and rubbing it hard and fast.
“Yes Cole! Oh God! Yes!” she cried out as her body came alive with pure desire.
She was building fast and her legs were becoming weaker. Almost as if Cole knew. He abruptly pulled out of her and turned her around pressing her naked back against the cold tiles. Grabbing her by the hips he picked her up.
“Wrap your legs around me,” he commanded and Ally immediately done what she was told. Before she had time to think he was buried deep inside her again as he mouth pressed against hers.
He pushed inside her deeper and deeper until Ally could no longer hold back and came with a cry so loud it shocked her. But her cry was his undoing and he slammed into her once more and stilled as he came hard and fast inside her.
“Jesus, Ally, you are fucking amazing,” he panted breathlessly against her neck, still holding her against the wall. “I don’t know how I stayed away as long as I did. I don’t think I can ever stay away again.”
Before Ally could even answer his mouth was on hers again.
And in that moment she knew she couldn’t stay away from him either. She was falling and falling fast.
They lay in each other’s arms talking for most of the night. Ally told Cole about her Grandparents and her two uncles, her Mom’s older brothers Stewart and Will. She shared about growing up with Hannah and Caitlin and how they had been best friends since the first day of school.
Cole talked about his business. He told her he had a twin sister called Ella but that they weren’t that close.
His Mom and Dad still lived in London. He said tried to go home and visit them once a month but it didn’t always turn out that way.
She loved the sound of his voice. It was soothing, comforting even.
Ally’s eyes grew tired, and in a feeling of contentment, a feeling that she’d been missing the past several days, she drifted off to sleep securely snuggled in Cole’s arms.
Chapter 8
Ally woke with a start when the alarm sounded the next morning but she could barely move because Cole was wrapped around her body. His legs were intertwined with hers and his fingers were locked with her fi
ngers.
She smiled when he sighed softly in his sleep. She tried to gently to remove her hand from his without waking him but the minute she did he opened his eyes and smile.
She reached out and hit the snooze button then turned back to Cole.
“Good morning,” Cole said as her eyes met his.
“Good morning,” Ally said and smiled shyly. This was the first time she woke up he wasn’t already up and out of her bed.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Too well,” he groaned and pulled her tighter to him. “I don’t want to get up.”
“Well you are welcome to stay here,” Ally replied and brushed her lips softly against his. “But I have to get to work.”
“Call in sick,” he said locking his arms around her and pressing his morning glory against her stomach.
“I am very tempted, Mr Thomas,” she replied with a giggle. “But I promised Gus I would take care of a car today for a special customer and I can’t let him down.”
“Maybe I can persuade you,” he said as he rolled the over in the bed until he was on top of her. And she knew she was going to be late for work.
An hour later Ally sat on her bed doing up the shoe laces on her black converse runners. She was in her favourite Levy’s and a black vest top.
She had just finished drying her hair after her shower and tided it back in a loose ponytail.
Cole walked back into her room and put a coffee on her nightstand and sat down next to her.
“Can I meet you after work?” he asked looking nervously at her.
“Didn’t you get enough of me last night, Mr Thomas?” Ally asked with a laugh.
“Ms Brody,” Cole said as he leaned over and kissed her bare shoulder. “I will never get enough of you.”
He traced the tips of his fingers up and down her arm but he abruptly stopped and held her arm closer to get a better look at what ever had caught his attention.
“What happened to your arm?” he asked, his voice was suddenly filled with concerned and an air of urgency.
