No Second Chances Page 17

As their bodies moved together, Ally could feel pure desire wash through her. The closeness of Cole was intoxication; as she became lost in him. She almost forgot she was in the middle of a crowded pub. All she was aware of was him. His smell, his touch, his very presence. She was filled with so much love for this man she could barely breathe.

And Cole felt it too. He allowed his body to melt together with hers, a raw need washed through him. He had to struggle hard to keep control of himself. But his body was winning over his mind. He wanted her. He needed her. She was his drug and he could never get too much.

He breathed in her perfume and the scent that had become so familiar to him, filled him with longing.

“I want you!” he whispered into her ear, barely able to control his breathing. “We need to get out of here. Now!”

Ally glanced up at him and when her eyes met his, her stomach flipped. His eyes were dark and hooded and filled with so much need and desire her heart almost stopped.

“Let’s go,” she replied without hesitation as she reached up and kissed him passionately.

“Get a room,” Hannah called from beside them, laughing loudly.

Hannah’s voice brought Ally back to earth. As she stared up at Cole and smiled.

“I just need to use the ladies,” Ally leaned in and whispered in his ear. “Then we can get out of here.”

She turned and pushed her way through the heaving crowd, and headed towards the toilets, leaving Cole and her friends on the dance floor.

She was relieved that for once there wasn’t a huge queue in the toilets. When she was finished, she walked to the wash hand basins and washed her hands, then grabbed a bunch of paper towels to dry them.

She opened her bag and pulled out her hair brush and quickly ran it through her hair as she watched her reflection in the mirror. The only other girl in the ladies room looked at her in the mirror and smiled before she head out the door leaving Ally standing alone.

Ally shoved her hair brush back into her bag and pulled out her favourite perfume, Emporio Armani, Diamonds and sprayed herself liberally with it. Shoving that into her bag she began to search for her lipstick when she heard the door open.

“Got you!” she exclaimed when she finally found it buried at the bottom of her bag. She pulled it out and pulled the lid from her lipstick and turned to look at herself in the wall length bathroom mirror. And froze when she saw Jason reflection standing directly behind her.

“Jason!” she exclaimed and her heart raced and she could feel the blood drain from her body. Fear gripped her and she wanted to bolt for the door as what Cole had told her earlier came flooding into her mind. But instead she tried to appear calm. “Jesus, you scared the crap out of me! What are you doing in here?”

“I need to talk to you,” Jason replied pinning her with his eyes. He was eerily calm and somehow this unsettled Ally.

“There is nothing to say, Jason,” Ally replied trying to keep her nervousness from her voice. “It over. Now please, just let it go.”

“You know you don’t mean that,” he replied and took one step closer to her. She instinctively stepped back and was now up against the row of sinks. “And I know what you are doing out there with your little show, letting some asshole rub his filthy hands all over you and shove his tongue down your throat. You want to make me jealous. Pay back for Jane. Well, you win. I am jealous. He’s lucky I didn’t rip his fucking arms off.”

“Jason,” Ally began calmly but she felt anything but. She had to fight hard to keep the fear pushed down inside her. “I am not trying to make you jealous. I am not trying to make you anything. It’s over! I’ve moved on.”

Jason didn’t reply, instead he just stared at her, his face completely expressionless.

“Now I have to go, my friends are waiting for me.” She picked up her bag, slung it over her shoulder with all the confidence she could muster and walked past Jason. But he suddenly lunged at her and grabbed her by the wrist. He grabbed her so hard the bangle she was wearing snapped and pierced her arm; her bag fell to the ground with a clatter.

Ally yelped in pain as he pinned her against the row of sinks, still holding her wrist in a vice like grip.

“JASON, PLEASE!” she cried out in a mixture of pain and fear. “You’re scaring me! And hurting me.”

“Why are you doing this?” he growled at her, not taking any notice of her pleas. “Why are you letting one stupid mistake ruin what we have? You said you loved me. How can you be so cruel? I said I was sorry. I promised I would never hurt you again. But still you are out the on the dance floor almost fucking that asshole. You haven’t been home in a couple of days. He must be good to be keeping you away from your real life and friends.”

As Ally tried to absorb what he said, she tried to yank her wrist free from his grip but he just gripped it even tighter, causing her to cry out once again in pain as the broken bangle dug deeper into her arm. He was still watching her; fear took complete control of her body and she began to shake.

“Jason! Please! You are hurting me,” she begged but he didn’t loosen he grip, instead he stepped in closer to her, his face barley inch from hers.

“When he is fucking you, do you think about me Ally?” he whispered as his breathe washed over her and her stomach heaved. She all she could smell was alcohol, whiskey maybe.

She could feel a warm, wetness trickle down her arm. She flicked her eyes to where his hand was gripping her and was horrified to see blood seep out from beneath his hand.

“Jason, please you’re hurting me” she repeated.

“And you’re not hurting me?” he sighed, sounding completely dejected. “You have ripped my fucking heart out.”

“I’m sorry.” She replied, hoping to defuse the situation a little.

“Then give me a chance,” he pleaded, releasing her wrist and cupped her face in his two hands. She could feel the wetness on her own blood now on her face. “Ally, please, I love you.”

Suddenly a girl burst into the ladies room and stopped dead when she saw Jason and Ally. At first the girl grinned, thinking she had walked in on lovers together but her expression changes to one of concerns when she saw the look on Ally’s face.

“Are you okay?” she asked looking directly at Ally.

Ally took this chance to make her escape from Jason.

“I’m fine thanks,” Ally replied brightly as she grabbed her bag from the floor. Then she quickly stepped around Jason and headed for the door.

“Are you sure you are okay?” the girl repeats. “You’re bleeding.”

“I am okay,” Ally quickly reassured her as she quickly wiped her face with the back of her hand as she pushed by the girl and quickly went in search of Cole.

“Ally! Wait,” she heard Jason call as she pushed into the crowd, scanning frantically for Cole. She glanced over at the table they were sitting at but it was empty. She then spotted Caitlin, Hannah and Nathan on the dance floor but she couldn’t see Cole anywhere.

Her heart was now hammering hard and fast in her chest. She was just about head toward her friends when she felt someone grab her arm.

She spun around and cried out. ”LEAVE ME ALONE!” Everyone in ear shot turned and looked at Ally and she could feel the room spin. But then the familiar scent of Cole, pulled her back to the here and now.

“Ally, it’s me!! He exclaimed and he pulled her closer to him, but then stopped when he spotted the blood on her cheek, “Ally, what happened?”

Ally looked up into Cole’s face and instantly felt relief wash over her. But she could no longer hold the tears back.

“Sweetheart, you’re scaring me” he said, the panic very clear in his voice. Now they had an audience and it was growing by minute. Cole scanned Ally quickly to see where she was hurt and spotted the blood dripping from her wrist. “Ally, you are bleeding! What happened?”

Before she could answer, Caitlin, Hannah and Nathan were by their side.

  “What’s going on?” Nathan asked
as he looked from Cole to Ally.

“Jesus, Ally,” Caitlin gasped, when she saw the blood on her friend. “Who did this?”

Ally looked from Cole to her friends and back to Cole again and a sob exploded from deep inside. Cole pulled her into his arms and held him closer to him.

By now most of the people in the pub were craning their neck to try and see what was going on.

“Ally who did this to you?” Cole whispered again as he softly kissed her forehead and wrapped her tighter to him.

“Jason,” her voice was barely a whisper. “He followed me to the toilets.”

Cole held her at arm’s length, his face filled with so much raging Ally’s heart stopped.

“Take care of her,” he said to Caitlin and turned to walk away but Ally grabbed his arm.

“No! Cole! Please! Don’t leave!” she begged him. “Please don’t leave me. I don’t want you to get into any trouble, please.”

Cole looked at her for a moment and he felt torn. He wanted to badly to go and beat the crap out of this Jason asshole but the fear in her face grounded him to the spot. He couldn’t walk away from her. Her eyes held his and he knew he need to do what she asked.

“You stay with Ally,” Nathan insisted. "I'll go have a word with our friend."

Nathan stomped off towards the ladies toilets and Ally, Cole and the two girls returned to their table. As they sat down, a man dress in a black suit and a small gold badge with the word security appeared at the table.

“Is everything alright here, folks?” he asked in a friendly but no nonsense tone.

“It’s fine,” Ally shakily replied, not wanting to make a bigger scene than she had already.

Cole pulled a handkerchief from his pocked and softly wipe the traces of blood from Ally’s cheek before he lifted her hand and began to clean her wrist.

“Ally, this is deep,” Cole said as he applied pressure to the puncture on Ally’s wrist. “I think you might need some stitches.”

Before she could reply, Nathan appeared back at the table. Cole turned and looked at him expectantly.

“Sorry, man,” Nathan shook his head. “Empty.”

“Bastard!” Cole growled. “I will fix that fucker for once and for all. Thanks Nate.”

“Any time, Cole, You know that,” Nathan said releasing a deep breathe. “But don’t do anything stupid. Let me handle this. I will have a couple of my friend still on the force go have a little chat with this jackass. I will get it sorted. You just take care of Ally.”

Cole turned back to look at Ally and anger coursed through his veins. He could see just how shaken up she actually was by all of this and it killed him that he had let her down. He had promised her he would keep her safe. And now less than 5 hours later he had already failed her. She was hurt and even more scared than she was before.

“Let’s get you out of here!” Cole said as he reached over and grabbed her coat from the back of her chair. He wrapped it around her and pulled him close to him.

“I’ll make this okay,” he whispered as he softly kissed her. I promise. I won’t let you down again.”

“I love you, Cole,” Ally sobbed softly. “Thank you.”

  Chapter 16

Cole carried a sleeping Ally into the house and straight up the stairs to his bedroom.

It was now almost two in the morning and they had just come from having Ally’s wrist checked out.

When they left the pub a couple of hours earlier, Nathan promised he would get Caitlin and Hannah home safely. They said their goodbyes and Cole led Ally to where Liam was waiting with the car. Once they were moving, Cole made a quick call and instructed Liam where to go.

The call was made to a Dr Daniel O’Conner, another of Cole’s friends and his personal physician. When they reach the doctor’s home Cole quickly lead Ally inside. Cole introduce her to his friend who insisted she call him Dan.

Dan brought them both through to his private clinic which was attached to the side of his house.

He thoroughly cleaned Ally’s wrist, and examined it. He said she would need just a couple of stitches.

He told Ally she was really very lucky she hadn’t damaged a nerve or worse still, pierced an artery.

When he had her all stitched up and the wound fully dressed he suggested he would give her something to help her sleep He also gave her a prescription for antibiotics.

He gave her some tablets and a glass of water and instructed her to take them. He said by the time she returned home she would be ready to go straight to bed.

He and Cole then chatted briefly about what she should and shouldn’t do while she had the stitches and about when she need to come back to have the removed. But Ally wasn’t really listening.

She was already tired but her mind was in a spin. How could Jason have done this to her? He was always a little over bearing and possessive but he was never nasty or hurtful. And he never once laid a hand on her. Yet for the second time in as many meetings, he had hurt her.

By the time Cole and Ally climbed back into the car to go home, Ally was emotionally and physically drained. She curled into Cole, on the back seat of the car and was soon fast asleep wrapped tightly in his arms.

As he lay her down on his bed gently, he brushed his lips against her forehead before he pulled the cover over her and quietly turned to walk out of the room.

“Please, don’t leave me,” Ally whispered, sleepily.

Cole instantly turned and walked back towards the bed He quickly removed his jacked, kicked off his shoes before his climbed into bed behind Ally. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and pulled her closer to him.

Wrapped in his arms she felt calm and safe as she drifted off to sleep she whispered. “I really love you, Cole.”

He watched her for hours as she slept. He just lay there watching her breathe, softly stroking her hair. God how he loved this girl. He wanted so badly to go and find this Jason guy and beat the ever living shit out of him.

But there was a tiny part of him could understand Jason. Cole couldn't imagine letting Ally go either. He thought of the three days they had been apart. She was all he could think about even though he barely even knew her. Now having gotten to know her better he knew he wanted her to be a part of his life for good.

But he also knew when he told her the one secret he had been keeping from her, she was going to freak out. His only hope was that by then she would love him enough that she wouldn't leave him. He drifted to sleep with these thought filling his mind and the realisation he would have to tell her everything soon.

  *******************************

Ally awoke the next morning finding herself wrapped in Cole's arms. She turned to look at his beautiful face and was mildly curious that they were both still fully dressed from the night before. She reached up to softly stroke his face but a pain in her wrist stopped her immediately.

She spotted her bandaged wrist and the events of the night before came crashing into her mind and a sudden sob escaped from her mouth.

  Cole’s eye snapped open instantly.

“Hey,” he said as he pulled her to him. “Don’t cry. Everything will be just fine I promise.”

“Cole, I’m sorry,” she sniffed. “I have been nothing but trouble since you met me.”

“You are not trouble, Ally!” Cole exclaimed as he rolled her over in the bed and gazed down straight into her eyes. “Don’t you understand how much I love you? I would do anything for you.”

He kissed her softly on the lips and then closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Ally reached up and traced her fingers down his face and he leaned his face into her touch.

“I am sorry I let you down,” he whispered, his eyes still pinched shut. He breathing was harsh and almost laboured.

“Hey,” Ally said taking his face in both her hands. “You didn’t let me down. When I was in the toilets with him all I could think about was getting back to you. And when I got away, you were there. You were there right at the moment I need you
the most. Cole, you didn’t let me down.”

He opened his eyes and stared directly into hers. Ally felt like he was looking directly into her soul.

“I love you so much,” he said before he pressed his mouth against hers and pressed her harder into the bed.

Ally gasp as she could feel his firm erection against her leg, giving him the opening to dip his tongue into her mouth and softly caress her tongue with his. He slid his hand up and cupped her face as his kiss became harder and deeper and full of desire.

Ally moaned softly as pure need, filled her body.

“I want you, Ally! “he groaned against her mouth. He dropped his hands down to her dress and quickly pulled it up her body and over her head, throwing it to the floor.

She reached down and pulled his shirt from his trousers, before she reached for the waist band of the trousers. She pulled them opened and shoved them and his boxer shorts back over his firm bum, freeing his hard cock.

He reached for her black lace panties and pulled them hard. Ally could hear them tear as he ripped them from her body and discarded them quickly, before he once claimed her mouth, plunging his tongue inside.

Breaking apart from her breathlessly, he quickly pulled his shirt over his head and threw it to the floor to where her dress and torn panties were. Rising over her, his eyes locked with hers. She held her breath and he positioning the head of his cock against her and slowly slid it inside her.

“Jesus, Ally” he groaned as he filled her with his entire length and stilled. “God how I love your body.”

Ally wrapped her legs tightly around him, pulling him to her tighter, longing for some movement, some friction to help ease the longing in her groin. But he didn’t moved. He balanced over her. His eyes locked with her, his cock buried deep inside her. He had her completely possessed.

“I love you,” he whispered as he began to move with slow deep thrusts inside her. The feeling was amazing. He was truly making love to her. Worshiping her with his body and his soul.
