Sacred Moon: Book 2 Page 33

by Alejandro Marrero

“Pahaliah, send word to all the Angels to warn every allied realm. They must prepare for refugees from the human realm. Spirit, Jetsunma, Swift, Onyxia, Fevian, Jeremiah, and Pahaliah. Divide yourself and go to the seven realms. Conjure the Shield of Virtue and encase their entire realm and lands surrounding them. The rest of us will be traveling to the realm of Draconious then to Iron Sky. My hope is that the Dragons will accept refugees and join forces in protecting the people of this planet. We’ve also got to see if the defensive technologies the Dwarves were designing are ready. Their innovations may be of help to shield the over ten-thousand human-populated cities of Earth from Lillith’s invading forces,” I explained.

“I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but all the one-hundred-ninety-eight demonic monoliths are starting to pulse. I fear they may be in the process of being activated.” Bezaliel decided to add a cherry on top of all our fantastic news of the day. Nucking futs! Those ArchAngels couldn’t have brought this up a few days ago!

“Okay, change of plans. Tell all the allied realms I beseech them to answer my call to arms. Let them know the locations of all the gateways closest to their realms convergence areas on Earth. We will all travel together to each location one by one and assist the ones closest to them. Them seeing us fighting at their side for their realms will earn the trust of their people. We have their sovereigns' trust. Now let us show them how we got it. We’re going to need our allies. Eventually, and I sense quickly, we will need to go to every one of those monoliths. Hopefully, destroying them before they’re fully open. Otherwise, that’s nearly two-hundred battles we’re all going to be fighting at once. Have the realms work on the monoliths closest to their first. Then spread out to the other monoliths just outside of those zones. Keep us informed through our network of Angels. We must act at once to protect this sacred Earth from Lillith’s wrath,” I instructed. We immediately conjured our armor and weapons.

The battle of our lives and for all the lives of this planet would now begin. I had no flipping clue what a dark-goddess would be capable of if she was successful in becoming the first dark-god-ascendant. One thing was sure. These were my friends and family. We’d do whatever we could to prevent Hell on Earth and losing each other or any being. Hopefully, we were not too late.

  Chapter 31

  Bezaliel

Those ArchAngels have never been a good omen for us. However, I remember before the mortals over-populated this Earth. There were hard-fought battles between the ArchAngels against the Archdemons and their evil demon hordes. The ArchAngels indeed had a noble purpose back them, for these beings were the vilest of creatures. They tortured and battled each other continuously for dominance. We Angels helped naturally, for we were designed to serve and especially to defeat the arcanely gifted and formidable demons.

What many don’t know is that this world system was occupied when our former masters, the pantheons of old, arrived here. The planet was plagued by beings of immense powers and followed corrupt leaders. This was a planet that back then had been taken over by demons. However, understanding that this planet was perfect in size and in the habitable zone for our previous masters' intentions, they set to creating their own Angelic army. Back then, we were the warriors of the gods. We were also led by the ArchAngels as they alone were equal in power to the Archdemons. There were six Archdemon lords in charge of different territories that were ceaselessly in conflict with each other. Always trying to usurp the other demon lords from their seats of power.

When the pantheons of old had created a large enough battalion of Angels for their cause, we appeared in flashes of divine light in the Earthen sky. Though back then, it was also called Terra. Not accustomed to the brilliant lights of our blessed Angelic forms, we were immediately noticed. We then made ourselves incorporeal to take positions and start our invasion. We were to engage in battle with the lesser demons and their magick wielders. At the same time, the ArchAngels focused on defeating the Archdemons in our assigned territories. It was not an easy battle. There were demonic monoliths everywhere back then. Since the demons were so many in number, we fought endlessly. We figured out quickly that the demonic powers of their rather large demonic gateways were indeed in need of being destroyed. As they were used to summon reinforcements by every demon lord. We focused on destroying their gateways in each territory, granting ourselves more time to fulfill our purposes. It was not as easy to destroy the monoliths back then as it was on Green Mount Lake. Firstly the monoliths of the demons of old were nearly ten-times the size. They were made of smoothly polished obsidian and were etched deeply with demonic runes. They didn’t need dark Mages to activate them. They did, however, have giant demons guarding them of every impressive size and shape. Our forms were no longer shrouded, we realized when we came close to the proximity of the gateways. Demonic powers were formidable and potent. It took Michael and Uriel combined to destroy the largest of the monoliths that powered their gateways.

We battled for hundreds of Terran cycles around its sun, the demons that inhabited this world. However, we were victorious, or so we thought. One day after the ArchAngels had defeated four of the Archdemons and their retinue, the other two Archdemons and their retinue disappeared. They relinquished their hold on Terra, and the remaining demons disbanded. All of us Angels went to seize and destroy all the demonic tomes, monoliths, magical artifacts, and weapons that were left from the carnage. We did as instructed and had been successful in invading this world system’s planet. We thought we had conquered and completely rid the world of demonic powers and their overlords.

The gods then instructed the ArchAngels to use their powers to completely transform the planet. Archangel Gabriel then summoned all the pockets of water and oceans buried on the planet. She flooded the entire earth in cleansing water. It looked like an endless ocean with the highest peaks of its original mountains appearing like islands in the vast ocean. The northern and southern poles of the planet frozen tundras now instead of active pools of lavas, mountains, and demonic fortresses and cities. All of us Angels back then watched in awe of the ArchAngels’ powers.

The gods' intentions were not complete, though. Archangel Uriel then appeared like a swirling mass of arcane green power high in the air above the Earth’s equator. He summoned the land to rise up into a vast and great continent with countless surrounding islands and lakes. Displacing the waters and adding more land to the predominantly oceanic planet after Gabriel’s machinations. Some astonishing amounts of water were buried deep below the crust of the planet in turn as well.

ArchAngel Rafael then summoned winds around the planet invoking rains and different climates. The vast single continent was with his magic covered in lush green forests of trees and valleys of green flowers of every type. The once dark and red planet was now blue, brown, and green with clouds.

Archangel Michael then warmed the planet and directed the lava flows from the planet’s molten core to criss-cross the planet. He made some lava flows higher to the surface of the vast continent. Changing its topography slightly with volcanos that were inactive but underneath their magma warmed some of the countless lakes, rivers, waterfalls, streams, and springs.

Lastly, the ArchAngels then used their powers to tilt the earth on its access and slow its speed, stabilizing the planet’s now terraformed surfaces for the gods' intentions. They then, without saying a word to us lesser Angels, left the planet and headed up to the celestial abodes of the pantheons of old. They simply observed, and thus we observed as the gods created numerous life forms on the planet. Each of the gods then divided certain territories for themselves. Where they set up palatial palaces and cities. They then hastened the evolution of seeded creatures till humans were created in their image and ours but without wings.

The original humans were turned to servants and set forth to venerate and build temples to the gods of old. After a short time, the gods of old decided they wanted more space between their realms. This was understandable as their human servants would s
ometimes migrate from their respective realms to another for better opportunities. This was easy for them back then when there was indeed just one massive continent. This caused much fighting and debate between this new world’s gods.

The gods then cracked the giant vast continent into three. Not caring for the loss of life in the process. Nor their palaces for they had transported their palaces up to their celestial abodes. Their celestial abodes shrouded way high up above the clouds of the Terran skies. The gods simply wanted to be venerated and were still remembered. They had come to an alliance of sorts, to let the planet and its people evolve in their own ways, each forming different cultures and characteristics according to the climate of the lands or continents they called home. That is around the time the world was home to three distinct cultures, and Leilah appeared. She was a foreign being. Leilah was not a god in form like our pantheons. She was in the form of an Angel like us. Though unlike us, had unique wings that looked like they were made of the night sky. She told the gods that she was from another world system. Leilah said she wished to help in the development of this world and committed herself to their causes. The gods were hesitant to trust a foreign being even if she appeared like a lesser Angel like us. They never tethered her but accepted her into the ranks of lesser angels testing and trying her resolve to their agendas.

Shortly after the arrival of Leilah, the gods, our creators began interacting with the three main tribes of people on Terra. Even the ArchAngels and other Angels did as well. New beings were created from their dalliances. Every once in awhile, Angels were sent to Terra to accomplish the gods' intents. The tasks given to us Angels were not always benevolent. We found ourselves often instructed to do unspeakable things to both humans and other supramundane beings. All these beings that had evolved from the gods' maneuverings and called this planet home.

Leilah, always the compassionate one, did her best to help the inhabitants of Terra wherever she could. She taught them magicks and helped some of the different kinds of beings on Earth. Mainly the Kindred is what she was known for. Nonetheless, the gods would eventually send us to exert their power and dominion over humans as they evolved and proliferated in number. They’d do so in the form of floods, plagues of insects, droughts, famine, pandemics, and even murderous cullings.

The planet, through the eons, eventually formed the continents there are today. Different paranormal beings built their realms far away from the mundane humans of earth. As humans with their shorter lifespans were very fertile and grew in population quite quickly, they were also known to anger the gods with their own ambitions. They were fearful of those who were different than them. Then with magicks unknown to us, Angels, the Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, Fae, Unicorns, and other commonly known supernatural beings, relocated themselves to places far from the population centers of the humans who were always fighting in one way or the other. They even shrouded their homes by manipulating the then robust veils, isolating themselves from humans to evolve and be at peace. They traded with each other as allies for the most part with other realms.

Now we’re here in the present, and the gods of old are no longer our masters. Not even their most loyal and influential creations, the ArchAngels were tethered to their wills again. We were free. Finally free and all thanks to the well-hidden machinations of Leilah and the god-seed she planted in Donovan. She was the catalyst to this world system’s new-found order. Donovan even opened the possibility to us Angels having star-coursed ones and allowing us to love without consequence. However, just as I had found my star-coursed one Quicksilver. Another unwelcomed and significant change had come to the surface. Lillith has unearthed the demon’s magicks I once thought was gone and buried for good. Though she may have just begun to incorporate demonic magicks to her spell-craft. I knew of the dangers to the entire world should these dark arts be revived completely. Lillith was now also a goddess. Something I thought only a god could create or achieve. The monoliths she’s using pale in comparison to the ones of old. However, that’s how everything starts, small like a wave until it reaches shallow waters, crests high, then crashes upon the shores. We must succeed in bringing them all down. More importantly, we must find where she is getting this once buried demonic magicks.

I had Quicksie, my star-coursed one, and I would do anything in my power to protect him. As I knew in my very core, he would do anything to protect his friends and me. With something real, tangible, physical, and too precious to me to lose, we had to be victorious against Lillith’s forces.

Everyone flashed to their chambers in urgency after the disturbing news given to us by the now free ArchAngels. It was time to prepare ourselves to leave. Donovan was in the works of sending out a call to arms from our allies after he finished updating Queen Esmarelda and King Emeris. It had to be done. For like Pahaliah, Azrael, Abbadon, and even the newly liberated ArchAngels knew this world must never revert to being in the grips of demonic control.

I know we had things to do and urgent business to attend to, but I just needed and sensed an urgency to complete my bond with my beloved Quicksilver. My giant Unicorn-shifting muscled loving giant of godling of metal-craft. “Quicksie, my star-coursed one. I love you with all my heart. I fear for our future, but I know with you at my side, there is nothing we cannot achieve together. I commit the actions of my body, speech, and faithful mind to you. Would you do me the honor of completing our star-coursed bond and exchanging the blood oaths?” I asked him with a quiver in my voice. He then looked up at me and smiled. A smile that could banish any sorrow. Such is the bliss of being star-coursed with a Unicorn. That and the glitter, which for a roguish Angel like me, was an adjustment. For every time we were near each other or had been intimate, there was no hiding the testimony filled sparkle.

“Firstly, yes, my beloved Beza. Nothing would make me happier. It is like you read my mind as I was preparing for the tasks ahead and lost in thought, thinking of the perfect way to ask you to complete our bond. Like usual, my beloved stealthy Beza, you’ve invoked the unspoken words in my mind,” Quicksilver said while embracing me. He said, yes! Then he recited the oaths we somehow intuitively knew, and we passionately kissed and sealed the bond. As the bond snapped in place for both of us, I could feel the floods of love and compassion from my star-coursed one. We were then shocked by an intense surge of power that gripped us in golden energy as we separated from our kiss.

“What was that just now?” I asked him. He moved his gaze to mine, and his eyes had transformed completely! Now my beloved had swirling molten-silver eyes! Those same transformed eyes widened in surprise. Is this a side effect of our blood-sealed oath’s bond? I thought. “Quicksie, your eyes,” I exclaimed in shock! They were beautiful but different!

“It looks like our bond has had a pleasant side effect, my love. For now, our eyes match, and we’ve been transformed anew,” he said lovingly as he caressed my cheeks lovingly.

“What do you mean, my beloved? What happened?” I asked my mate.

“It looks like we’re both now god-ascendants of a different kind than those we know. Yet, our nine star-bright fastly spinning fiery silver chakras leave no doubt in my mind that this is true. We’re not gods of creation like Donovan, Abbadon, Leilah, and Azrael. We’re apparently god-ascendants of a different kind. Though of which powers I’ve no idea. We have little time to lose before we join the others. However, suffice it to say we’ve ‘leveled-up’ as Kendra would put it. For now, I’m not interested in what our newfound powers would be,” he said as he tossed me on the bed and un-conjured our clothes.

It was a lot to take in, but I loved his assertive displays of strength in the bedroom. I may not understand what we had transformed into. Yet, I knew Quicksie’s intentions for me on this bed were precisely what I needed before the battles we’d both be facing together ahead. I’d wear the glittering sparkles of our love to battle with pride. In both our minds, we openly shared our mental and physical passions. Then like a bell ringing loudly, we mind-spoke to each other with
every splendid thrust to the end whispered like a mantra, Always and Forever.

  Chapter 32

  Pahaliah

Back in Silver Leaf City, as the ArchAngels and the pantheons of old had us attacking its shields to get to the light-wielder Donovan, I had no choice. Nor when Donovan, with his grace, liberated us did I expect to immediately feel the sudden spark in my chest and the pull in my heart of a star-coursed one. Yet, once I saw Jeremiah, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted nothing more than to put light into his stunning green eyes. He looked so lost, and I was already aware of the heinous sufferings the gods had caused him through Leilah’s then bound tethers. To be brought to the brink of death in such a painful way. Not only from the impalement of numerous metallic-feathers by his possessed friend but also his memory wiped clean from the blood of that very Angel.

As the Angel of Virtue, I felt an immense well of compassion for Jeremiah, not only attraction. This is important for all to understand. Love without compassion is like a bird missing a wing. For the Illuminated Ones have said that virtue is only found when you ascend with both wings of compassion and wisdom. I was committed to having a relationship with Jeremiah based on these principles of true love. I loathed what the gods had done to him through their malicious manipulations. I knew, without a doubt, it would take time and effort to make my star-coursed one genuinely smile again. Of course, I would be at the fountain with all my freed brethren and join Donovan’s cause. Of this, there was no doubt. Not only because Donovan’s cause was noble, but to earn my way compassionately and with the wisdom of patience into Jeremiah’s heart. He had lost so much already I would see it found in my virtuous commitment to him.
