A reading group is a great way to get the most out of a book and is easy to arrange. All you need is a group of people, a place to meet and a date and time that works for everyone.
Use the first meeting to decide which book to read first and how the group will operate. Conversation doesn’t have to stick rigidly to the book. Here are some suggested themes for discussions:
How important was the plot?
What messages are in the book?
Discuss the characters – were they believable and could you relate to them?
How important was the setting to the story?
Are the themes timeless?
Personal reactions – what did you like or not like about the book?
