Dr. Daddy Dom (Little Lake Bridgeport 2) Page 13

by Breanna Hayse

Layton waited for her scream to die down, then patted the perspiration from her face and dabbed the tears from her eyes. He made eye contact with her, studied her face for a moment, and then resumed his position to deliver the third stroke. This time, she arched upwards, tightening the muscles of her bottom, and released a choking sob.

"One more?" he asked. She hesitated and then nodded. "This will be the last one. I'm giving it full force along your sit-spots."

The leather slashed like a striking snake. "FUCK!" May shouted as her body dissolved into shattered spasms. Before she stopped, Layton had released his powerful cock and placed it against her slit. Her sheath was hot around him, squeezing and pulling while he moved fiercely in and out of her helpless body. A carnal growl rumbled in his throat as he fucked her like an animal, eventually releasing his seed with a final lunge.

  Chapter 10

May's eyelids fluttered open as she was gently lifted from the bed and carried outside into the warm night air. She heard the sound of splashing water before the arms that held her lowered her tender body into the river. Two sets of hands gently caressed her pulverized flesh, cooling and cleansing while she regained cognizance of the world around her.

"Hey, pretty girl. Are you back?" Layton asked softly, running his wet hand over her face.

She turned to kiss his palm. "That was fucking amazing," she said hoarsely. "I don't know what I liked more. The strapping or the fucking."

"What about the partial suspension?" Caine asked, kissing the back of her hand.

"I kind of forgot about that." She laughed lightly. "What time is it?"

"Two in the morning. Are you hungry?"

"Famished. I… oh, I can't move," she groaned, sliding back to float in the water. "I think I pulled something."

"The way you jerked around, it wouldn't surprise me," Layton said, lifting her gently and walking onto the grass. He placed her on a towel and began to pat her dry.

"I'll go get her something to eat. Enjoy the stars," Caine ordered.

"It is beautiful," May said dreamily as she stared into the sequin-studded sky. She turned her head as Layton lay down beside her. "You used full force on me, didn't you?"

"I did, and I think I tweaked my shoulder," he said with a chuckle. "I'm sorry that I couldn't mark you. We could use a paddle, and—"

"No, thank you! I'm a leather girl, remember?"

"I do. I love you, know that?" he said, running his thumb along her cheekbone.

"I do, and I love you, too. Even though I won't be sitting for a while. Damn…"

"You'll be fine in a few hours," Logan told her.

  "Then what?"

  "Then it's Caine's turn."

"Did I hear my name?" the man asked, lowering himself onto the grass next to them and placing a straw between May's lips. "Drink."

"Cherry Kool-Aid? I thought this was an adult vacation," May said with a grin.

  "Grown-ups can like Kool-Aid."

"And Pop Tarts," Layton added, stealing a piece of the pastry from the plate. "I've never known anyone who has to eat Pop Tarts like this. It baffles me."

"It's not hard to understand. The crust is the best part, and it has to be nearly burnt. You cut that off and put it to the side for last. Then you cut straight down the middle, and across two times to make six equal squares." She picked up one of them and ate the bottom portion. "The best part apart from the crust is the frosting. So you eat the plain part, then use your teeth to dig out the blueberry filling, and then you turn the frosted part over so it's against your tongue and suck on it."

  "You're one weird kid."

"Maybe, but at least I don't do Ninja Turtle rapping."

"You wish you could. Fess!" Layton said.

"Yeah, it was pretty cool. If you were my age," May said mischievously.

"Are you making fun of my age again? Do you remember what happened last time you did that?"

  "Maybe…"

"Unbelievable." Layton rolled his eyes. "Over my knee. I can't believe you want this already."

"That strapping was just a warm up for me, and you know it. Can you do me a favor this time?" She twisted her head to look at him, wiggling her bottom. "Try not to spank like a girl."

  "Why, you little…"

  ***

"I'm so lazy," Caine groaned, hiding his face with a pillow. "Why can't I catch up on my sleep?"

"Maybe because you have a little blonde worm in your bed. Good morning, Maybelle," Layton said, placing a tray with coffee on the nightstand.

Caine lifted the blankets to see the grinning face of his wife with his cock in her mouth. "Girl, don't you ever give it a rest?"

"You're thirty-five years old. I need to grab all the moments I can before this shrivels up and blows away," she retorted.

"Dear Lord, she's back with the age comments. I'm in my prime, okay? Lay off. Ow! No biting," Caine grumbled against the pillow that was back over his face as he rubbed his thigh.

"You're such a grouch," May said, sliding up to sit next to him. She peeked under the pillow. "I hear Centrum Silver works pretty good. Maybe you should try some."

"Beat her ass for me, will you?" Caine begged.

"This is your battle, grandpa." Layton laughed, slapping Caine's leg as he stood up. "For once, she's going after your dick, not mine."

"Why do you do this to me? Aren't I good to you?"

"You're the best. And the reason I do it is because I can. I wanna go tubing today. Please?" May begged.

"Can't I just stay here and sleep?" Caine asked.

"Don't make me go 'Little' on you," she warned. "You know how persistent that part of me can be."

  "Layton, please help me."

"Like I said, it's your battle. I will admit that she minds her daddy much better than she minds her husband."

Caine pulled himself up to a sitting position and looked at May's smiling face. "You're lucky I love you so much."

"I sure am. I'll make a deal with you. Take me tubing and I'll tie your float to mine and you can sleep all the way down the river."

"Do you really think I would trust you not to make some sort of trouble when my eyes are closed? I am not going to wake up in the middle of the river and find my cock in your mouth," Caine said.

  "You're no fun."

"I knew you were planning that! I rest my case. Thanks," Caine said, accepting the cup from his brother. "Has it always been like this? She's gone nympho on us."

"Pretty much. It's just gotten worse since you were gone on your rotation. What do you want for breakfast?" Layton asked.

  "I don't care," Caine said.

  "I want Pop Tarts."

"You're not getting Pop Tarts, young lady. I already told you once and I'm getting tired of repeating myself," Layton scolded.

"I swear, I'm married to a couple of old farts."

"How's your bottom feeling this morning?" Caine asked.

  "It's sore."

"Do you want it to be sorer?"

"Not right now. It's too early." May wrinkled her nose.

"Then behave yourself. I'm going to take a shower and try to wake up. Scrambled eggs for me, please. And give her oatmeal."

"Shall do," Layton said cheerfully. "Come help me and leave Father Time to his shower."

  ***

May propped her chin on her hands as Layton started cooking. "I was thinking—"

"That's a scary statement," he interrupted.

"As I was saying, I was thinking that maybe if I got my license, I could visit Savannah every day. Ian said that he's going to need to get back to work, and she can't be alone."

"That, or he can drop her off at our place on his way."

"He could, but that would be an extra thirty minutes he has to drive. Of course…"

"What are you plotting in that beady little brain of yours, kiddo?" Layton frowned, looking at her suspiciously.

"Only that, if he worked close by, it would be a lot easier on him. Maybe he could get a job from Carlton. He does c
onstruction when he's not competing, and Savannah really doesn't want him to go back into the arena because it's so dangerous."

"Hmm, that's not a bad idea. I'll check it out. How are they doing? Ian seems a lot happier," Layton said.

"They both are. Savannah thinks a lot of it has to do with her father not being around. Did you know that he's been calling her constantly and leaving nasty messages on her cell phone?"

"He is? How do you know?"

"She asks me to put them on speaker for her when Ian's not around. It's really freaky because he sounds exactly like my father, you know, the same type of voice, and the way he talks. That guy is a total asshole, Layton. He threatened to take her out of his will if she doesn't drop Ian from her life and agree to meet with him. I feel so bad for her. She started crying and said that every time she has a chance to be happy, he comes along and craps on it. He did the same thing to her mother. I need to tell you something. Her mom…"

Layton sat across from his wife and took her hands in his. "I know. Savannah's been telling everyone that her mom was hit by a drunk driver, but it was vehicular suicide. I've been doing some research."

"She made me promise not to tell anyone, not even Ian. I just don't understand the secret, and why can't Ian know?" May asked.

"He knows now, honey. Both Caine and I told him as soon as we discovered it. As for your question, sometimes things are so painful to accept that it's easier to embrace a lie. The truth was too hard for Savannah to handle, so she retreated to a fantasy that removed blame from her mother and made it possible for her to transfer her anger to someone else. As for her father, the girl needs to change her number and not take his calls."

"I told her that. She's afraid that if she cuts him out, he'll get violent. He used to beat up on her when he got shitfaced."

Layton's gray eyes turned steely. "Did she tell you that?"

"Yes. Like I told you, she and I have had the same type of asshole in our life. A drunk, out of control, and psychotic father. That's another reason why I think it would be good for Ian to work somewhere else. Her dad might try to follow him to get to Savannah."

"You are one smart lady, Maybelle Marshall. I promise to get on it as soon as we get home."

"Didn't you bring your cell phone?" she asked.

Sighing, Layton nodded. "Enough with the puppy dog eyes. I'll call right now, okay?"

  "Thank you."

"You owe me," he said, dialing the number.

"Blow job on the river? You got it!"

Layton waved at his brother and pointed to the table as he finished his phone conversation.

"Please tell me that wasn't an legal emergency," Caine said while stabbing his eggs with his fork.

"Yes and no. Carlton is going to swing by and talk to Ian this afternoon. His foreman just put in his notice because he's moving out of state, and he needs an experienced manager."

"So he's giving him the job?" May sounded excited.

"If he's qualified. Carlton has a business to run and you don't just hire friends to fill prime positions."

"Catch me up, you two. What's happening?" Caine asked.

Layton quickly explained the situation and May's concerns, adding his own to the conversation.

Caine wrinkled his forehead. "I had no idea it was that bad."

"You didn't know about her mother, either," May stated.

"Not until Layton told me. I'm so glad that you were there for her, honey. Is there a way to make this man disappear?"

"There is, but it's a little unethical," Layton said. "We can talk to Sri and get Savannah into psych care. She and Larry might be able to convince the district judge to award a restraining order against him."

"It won't work. It might even make things worse."

  "What do you mean, May?"

"My father had a restraining order against him from the lady across the street. He used to scream at her door if she left her porch light on when she wasn't home. It got real ugly and she called the cops. The court granted her a restraining order and he went ballistic. He started stalking her, letting air out of her tires, turning on her water to increase her bill. The list of shit he did to her was endless," she said.

  "Watch your mouth," Caine warned.

"I'm not a 'Little' right now."

"I don't care. You are to speak like a lady. Now continue."

"You are grumpy," May huffed. "Anyway, she called the cops but she never had proof, especially since he was gone so often. I also covered for him because I was afraid of what he would do to me if I told the truth. She ended up moving away because he made her so miserable. All because she left her porch light on at night for safety."

"Your father was a crazy son of a bitch," Layton said, shaking his head.

"It sounds like Savannah's father is the same way. Does he actually work overseas as a salesman?" Caine asked.

"Another lie," May said. "Vanna told that to Ian so that he would let her stay where they were. Her father is on some sort of disability and goes to Vegas to gamble. He doesn't come back to Texas very often because he has no money."

  "Who owns the property?"

"It's a rental. Her father was the primary and they sub-letted. She liked it because it was really cheap to live in and left her with money so she could buy booze," May explained.

"Okay, now that we're tearing down this web of lies, what can we do?" Caine asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I have pretty good aim. If you give me a hand grenade…"

"You're not blowing anyone up, Maybelle," Caine said sternly.

"How about a spear? It won't take long to learn—"

  "No, now stop it."

May frowned and slapped the table top. "No, you stop it! Goddammit, she is my friend and I am doing everything I can to help her. I'm sorry that you're so fucking tired, but don't take it out on me."

"Lower your voice and cease with the swearing. I'm not going to tell you again," Caine warned.

"No!" she shouted, standing up. "Like it or not, I am an adult, and I'm not going to sit back and be the perfect little submissive when I have something important to say. You are being a total fuckhead, Caine! I don't know what crawled up your ass and died, but leave me out of it!" With that she smashed her plate onto the floor and stormed angrily outside.

"Holy crap, what the hell just happened?" Layton stared at his equally stunned brother. "She's never acted like that, not since we've known her."

"Something triggered her. I know I've been irritable lately, but it's not the first time. Something's going on and I need to find out what. Stay here. This calls for Dr. Daddy Dom."

"You're an idiot," Layton said with a grin. "Good luck."

  Chapter 11

"May? Maybelle? Answer me!" Caine shouted, walking quickly through the woods. Where the hell did she go? he pondered, standing with his hands on his hips and turning around in a circle while muttering to himself. Okay, I need to think like a daddy. Something set her off to throw this tantrum. She probably didn't feel like she was being heard, so where would she go to find her voice?

He looked up and started scanning the trees. Sure enough, he saw her huddled in the branches of a giant oak and walked calmly to its base.

"May? Honey, come down. We need to talk."

"I don't wanna talk to you," she yelled. "Not ever!"

"Listen, I'm sorry I've been a jerk lately. I know you don't understand how tired—"

  "Go away!"

"No," Caine said, grabbing the knobs on the trunk and quickly climbing up to the heavy branch where she had secured herself. "Don't look so surprised that I can climb a tree. You forget that I was raised in Texas, and all boys climb trees, skip rocks over ponds, and shoot spitballs through reeds. Tell me what happened in there."

"I have nothing to say to you."

"Did you feel that I wasn't listening or taking your concerns seriously? I really was, baby. I'm sorry I was so gruff about it."

"It's not that," she said, wrapping her arms tightly
around her knees as tears dripped slowly down her cheeks. "All you ever say to me is 'no'. You keep pushing me away when all I want is to be with you."

"Is this because of the morning wake-up call?"

"It wasn't just this morning that you rejected me. It's constant!" She began to sob. "You worry more about Savannah's needs than mine. She's my friend and I want her to be happy, but she spends more time with you than I do."

Defending himself served no purpose except to make her feel invalidated, which would lead to mistrust. Caine chose his words carefully. "I didn't realize that, baby. I'm sorry. Honest to God, I would never do or say anything intentionally to hurt you. I know I'm an idiot sometimes, and I need to remember that you're much more sensitive about things than I am, and that I need to be more patient." He looked down at the gold wedding band on his left hand and twisted it around his finger.

"When Layton and I picked out your original wedding band, we got into a huge fight. I wanted gold, he wanted platinum. The only thing that we could agree upon was the inscription." He took her hand in his and kissed her ring. "It says 'Together'. We had this ring made of both metals intertwining each other so neither one outshone the other. You're right. I've been neglectful in my duties because I was taking care of Savannah, and I allowed Layton to outshine me. I'm truly sorry."

"It's fine," she said, pulling her hand away and refusing to look at him.

"Say the word right now and I will ask for another doctor to care for her. You're first, baby. You always will be."

"I just miss you and when you're home, you're always either tired or grumpy. I have to initiate everything, as both a big girl and a Little. It just feels like you are bored with me and just have sex because you have to, not because you want to."

"I love having sex with you. You make me feel things that no other woman has ever done. I swear on my honor that I'm telling you the truth. I've just been burning the candle from both ends for a while, and I guess it's finally caught up with me. Usually it's Layton being the asshole, but this time it's me. Please forgive me," Caine said. She didn't answer, continuing to look away from him. "May, I know you're hurt and angry, but I want to make this right. What do you want me to do?"
