Playing With Fire Page 14

“Yeah, baby, that’s it. Take us. Squeeze those muscles around us, Jane.” Rys couldn’t help the commands leaving him, couldn’t help the instinct to move faster in her. He gripped her hips hard, keeping her immobile, as he plunged into her while Will pulled out. He was close, so damn close that his balls drew up tight, and it took everything inside of him not to come right them.

“Fuck, I’m so close, Janey.” Will didn’t normally swear. The fact that he was meant his twin was just as close as he was. As if their combined words set off something inside of her, her entire body tensed, and she let out a long, drawn-out moan. Her muscles tightened around him, and it was too much for Rys. Pumping into her harder and faster, Rys buried himself fully into her and grunted out his release. The force of his orgasm was powerful, and he saw stars dance before his eyes. This was always the reaction he had when it came to Jane. Will grunted moments later with his own climax. The three of them stayed in position for several long moments. Jane’s inner muscles continued to spasm around his dick, and he gritted his teeth from the exquisite pleasure and pain. When his cock started to soften, he gently pulled out of her.

Jane breathed heavily, and when he lay beside her, he pulled her off Will and wrapped his arms around her. She rolled over and buried herself against his chest. Will was still on his back, his arm thrown over his eyes as he breathed hard. As if his brother sensed his stare, he removed his arm and turned to look at Rys.

“Jane?” Will got up and disappeared out the door. Jane looked up at Rys, and he dipped his head to kiss her. As he pushed himself up, Will reentered the room, and Rys went to stand beside him. Jane sat up and looked at the two of them, a frown marring the spot between her eyes.

  “Is everything okay?”

He could have kissed her worry away, but instead he and Will dropped to one knee. Her eyes widened, and her hand covered her mouth. This wasn’t exactly the ideal time to do this, but they had waited long enough.

“Jane, we should have done this a long time ago, and maybe kneeling here naked isn’t the most romantic scene to propose, but Will and I can’t wait any longer.” Fat tears started to slip down her cheeks, and she let her hand fall, her smile wide.

“We love you, Janey, so much.” Will held out the small black box and popped it open. “We’ve had this ring for a while now.” He opened the lid, and the tears fell harder from her eyes when she saw the two carat ring. The center diamond was a marquise cut and a full carat, and there were two half-carat diamonds of the same cut flanking it.

“The middle diamond represents you, and the two smaller ones represent us. Although we are always beside you, supporting you in any way, you are the main rock in our life, keeping us grounded.” Rys took the ring and held it out to her.

“Without you, we wouldn’t be anything, Janey.” Will reached out and gripped her waist, sliding her to the edge of the bed right in front of them.

They knelt before her and Rys said, “This ring only represents a small part of what you mean to us. We want you forever, Jane. This ring may become weathered, may crack and break with time, but the love we have for you will stay strong even during the most perilous weather.”

They had rehearsed this very moment numerous times, and after looking at each other once more, they turned all their attention back to Jane and spoke in unison. “We love you, Jane Mary Silver. Will you do us the immense honor of becoming our wife?” They knew only one of them could marry her legally, but in the end, it didn’t matter because Jane was theirs, and there wasn’t anything or anyone that would ever change that.

“Yes, yes, I’ll marry you. Both of you.” They wrapped their arms around her and kissed her, trying to show her with their hands and lips how much they loved her. It would never be enough, of course. She pulled away and held up her left hand, and Rys and Will chuckled. Will slid the ring on her finger, and she smiled.

“You can’t change your mind now, sweetheart.” She lifted her face to look at them and shook her head.

“I would never dream of it. I’ve been dreaming of this moment since I was a teenager.” She held her hand out and the setting sun caught the diamonds and made them sparkle.

Rys caught her left hand and brought the ring to his mouth. “No, Jane.” He waited until she looked at him. “We’ve been dreaming of this moment since we knew what love was.” With that, Rys and Will lay beside Jane. They stayed like that until the sun set, and they were surrounded by darkness. The shadows might have covered them, but with Jane in their lives, they would always have light.
