Karina could tell that her sailor was close. Her fingers rubbed frantically over her clit, hoping to cum at the same time he did. Her head bobbed up and down rapidly. The sailor suddenly inhaled sharply and Karina moaned in pure ecstasy as she tasted his first spurt of thick jizz. She clamped her lips around his shaft as he spurted again. Just then, her fingers hit the perfect spot and she orgasmed.

Despite her body shaking in the throes of her own orgasm, Karina swallowed down both loads of thick, hot sperm and felt the sailor spurt forth a third time. He then went limp as his climax subsided. Karina slurped her lips off his cock, not wanting to lose a drop. She rolled the third load around in her mouth to savor it before gulping it down to join the other two warm spurts in her belly.

Lorilei was still on her hands and knees straddling her sailor, but was not moving. Her head hung down as if she was exhausted and every now and then her body shook uncontrollably. She was covered in a sweaty sheen. Panting heavily, she turned her head to look at Karina.

"What a rush, dearie. Nothing like it."

"Do you need a hand?" asked Karina.

"Please, I don't want to hit his wounds and open them up. That would take some explaining."

Karina helped Lorilei get off the sailor. After they had regained their composure, they washed up and redressed. They then cleaned up the two sailors and snuggled them back down in their beds. Lorilei went over to the two dolls and removed the hair she had placed on them. She then broke the dolls and threw the pieces out of the porthole. Finally, she blew out the green candle and replaced it back into her bag.

"Is that one different than the gold one?" asked Karina.

"Of course, dearie," said Lorilei. "This one is relatively easy to make. It just puts people into a deep sleep or trance."

  "And the dolls?"

"It wouldn't have been much fun with the three of you asleep," said Lorilei, and then she smiled wickedly. "Or maybe it would have been if you all were found naked in the morning. Don't worry, it's just a joke. We have an understanding and I'll honor it. The dolls were just to make sure that only the sailors were affected. They'll wake in the morning feeling refreshed and having one hell of a dream. We're a lot alike, dearie."

"I know, that is why I'm going to have to watch myself around you," said Karina, smiling at Lorilei.

"Me too, or you'll turn me into my sister," said Lorilei. "Come on, let's go back to the cabin."

Chapter 4: A Maid No More

Karina awoke with a start. Last night's antics with the two sailors came back to her in a flash. A myriad of emotions coursed through her, a little bit of guilt for letting it happen, amusement about the entire situation, anger at Lorilei for setting off her lust again, and a bit of contentment on being laid. Karina sighed and chalked it up to another one of her experiences on this adventure. She threw back her bedsheets and stood up in the cabin she shared with the other two.

Lorilei and Genese's beds were empty. Karina was a little surprised to find no breakfast laid out for her or hot water for her washing. Genese had taken it upon herself to be Karina's maid, and she was usually so attentive at it. She had told Genese a dozen times that she did not need a maid, but the young girl would not hear of it. This breach in Genese's pattern was not like her at all. Karina quickly dressed and went up on deck.

The sky was clear blue and the wind brisk, making the brig plow through the waves at a nice clip. Karina had just spotted Genese up at the bow when the captain came over to her.

"Morning, milady," he said, greeting Karina. "Winds' up a bit, but nothing this old girl can't handle. I think we'll have good sailing right into port. Everything going smoothly in your cabin?"

"Why do you ask?" questioned Karina.

The captain hesitated for a moment. "When Genese came up this morning, I could barely get her to say good morning to me. It's still six days to port and that's a long time on a small ship."

  "Your ship is not small."

"Bronha may look large, but not if you're stuck on her and trying to avoid someone," responded the captain. "Then she becomes about the size of a thimble."

"I'll go talk to her," said Karina with a smile. "Would you have someone send Lorilei to us? We'll wait for her at the bow."

  "Of course."

Karina headed towards Genese, who was standing at the railing looking out over the ocean. Even from the back, Karina could tell something was troubling her. Her hands gripped the railing tightly and her shoulder were hunched together.

  'Good morning, Genese," said Karina.

"Good morning," mumbled Genese, slumping forward. She did not even look at Karina as she turned and made to leave. "Sorry, I have to get back to work."

"Genese, stop," ordered Karina, moving into the girl's path. The two of them danced side to side as Genese tried to get around Karina, but she finally gave up and stood still. "What is the matter?"

"Yes, dearie, what is the matter with you?" asked Lorilei, walking up from behind Karina. "I must admit I was a trifle miffed this morning with no breakfast being laid out."

"Breakfast!" hissed Genese. "How can you talk about breakfast after what you two did last night?"

"And what did we do last night?" asked Lorilei ominously.

Genese looked around to see if anyone was listening before continuing in a low voice. "You did something magical to the two sailors and then..." Genese blushed bright red. She then grew angrier. "The sailor on watch almost caught you. I had to distract him until I saw you two leave the forecastle."

"Distract him?" asked Lorilei with a raised eyebrow.

The young woman grimaced in disgust. "No, not like that. We just talked back on the quarterdeck, but you two could have been caught. And it was all just to satisfy your base urges."

"You're right, Genese, and I apologize," said Karina. "We could have been caught and it would have been a mess if it didn't get us hanged or thrown overboard first. I don't think the captain's hospitality extends to putting hexes on his sailors. I am sorry, Genese. This is not an excuse, but something I had to do."

"Nobody has to do anything," replied Genese with a touch of scorn. "Nothing, except live and die."

"Dearie, that is a lie and you know it," said Lorilei.

"She's right, Genese," added Karina. "How many times did you go without eating or have to turn down extra money?"

"That was different," said Genese sullenly.

"Just as my situation is different," said Karina. "Please sit down, Genese. If we are going to travel together, you need to know a little bit about my background and why I'm making this quest. You too, Lorilei."

"Are you sure?" asked Lorilei. "I'm not Ivin, you know."

"I know and I probably wouldn't be telling you now, except that you both need to know. I'm still half-hoping that you'll go back when we reach Firehold."

"I said I was going with you and I am," said Genese defiantly.

"You know of my fate," replied Lorilei.

Karina grimaced. "Okay, for starters, I'm human, but I have been altered."

  "By Ahhspah?" asked Lorilei.

"Yes," replied Karina. "Genese, Ahhspah is the ogre god of fertility. When I was a young girl, just about your age, I was captured by a goblin scouting party. I was rescued by an ogre named Gar."

Karina went on to tell her whole story from her rescue to the present day. While she left out a lot of details, she did get to the heart of it. She told them how she was altered and why, except for how she could lose control when she sees a penis. She told them of the ritual and how she met the original companions. She finished up by stating why she was on her way to Firehold alone.

"We're going to the Underworld to see Shades?" stammered Genese white-faced.

"Now you see why I did not want you to come," said Karina. "This is not a simple sea voyage of a pampered noblewoman. It's a quest I have to fulfill for my son's sake."

"But why have you been changed?" Genese shook her head trying to take it all in.

  "Genese, have yo
u ever seen an ogre?" asked Lorilei.

  "No."

"Ogres are supposed to be one of the most powerful creatures in the world," explained Lorilei. "I understand they respect nothing, but strength and they have a brutal reputation."

  "So?"

"So, for Karina to survive being with an ogre, she had to be altered or she would have died," said Lorilei. "It answers some of the questions I've had about her."

"Genese, I've told you the truth," said Karina. She then spied an iron rod about two feet long and as thick as a man's thumb attached to the ship's rail. Karina had seen sailors use it to splice rope. She pulled it out and handed it to Genese. "What would you say if I could bend that rod?"

"It's not necessary," replied Genese, handing the rod back to her. "You may not have been able to control yourself last night and it's her fault." She pointed at Lorilei.

Lorilei's eyes narrowed for a second, they then widened as she broke out in laughter. "You're a sly one, dearie," she chuckled. "I'll take responsibility for last night and I promise no more magic will be used on the crew."

"Fine," said Genese jumping to her feet. "If you'll wait here, Lady Karina, I'll bring you your breakfast."

"Hmph! Looks like I'll be getting my own meals for awhile," said Lorilei after Genese had left. "She's smart and hides it well."

"Learned it from hiding things from her drunken step-father, no doubt," replied Karina.

"Circumstances do mold people," said Lorilei. "Well, with you being altered, we may have some really good times together!"

"Lorilei, don't even surprise me that way," warned Karina. "You may live to regret it. I told you and Genese because we are traveling together and you needed to know. It doesn't mean I've told you everything about me."

She then handed over the heavy iron rod to Lorilei and walked over to the opposite rail. The rod had been bent into a full circle. Lorilei pursed her lips and looked at the rod before casually dropping it over the side. She then walked over to Karina.

"I know you don't trust me completely and that's understandable," she said to Karina. "Like it or not, we are going to have to depend on one another. You keep surprising me and I don't like surprises. It means I'm not in control. I have no problem following any whim or thought that enters my head, which seems to irritate you to no end. I agreed to a truce and now I'll go a step farther. I'll help you with your quest. Just remember, my way of doing things is different than yours."

"Thank you, Lorilei. When I started this quest, I told Gar that I'd have to be more ogrish than human. I also told him that I would not fail my son. He told me an old saying that only dead ogres fail. I have no intention of failing and will do anything to succeed. Can you live with that?"

"As long as I do live through it," quipped Lorilei with a smile. "Ah, Genese returns."

Genese was indeed walking towards them carrying a cloth-covered tray. She set it down on a barrel and removed the cover. The tray held bread, cheese, and a bowl of wine. Genese stepped back without a smile and stood still.

"As I see there is only enough for one, I'll go below to make my own," said Lorilei. She then glanced at Genese. "I also guess I'll have to do a lot of things myself from now on."

"I came to work for Lady Karina," said Genese, not looking at either Karina or Lorilei.

"Later, dearies," said Lorilei before heading off below deck.

"I've disappointed you greatly, haven't I?" asked Karina as she picked up and took a bite from a wedge of cheese.

"Nonsense, milady, you apologized for your actions and I've accepted that no harm was done."

  "Are you sure?" asked Karina.

"Am I sure of what?" asked Genese, her face showing her confusion.

"That no harm was done," replied Karina. "You just addressed me in the same tone you use when you talk about your step-father. Have I fallen as far as that or is it that I'm more than I seem to be?"

"Milady! Karina, I..." stammered Genese, looking more confused and a little scared.

"Genese, please sit down. Are you afraid that I'll turn into someone like your step-father?"

Genese sat down heavily. "I don't know. Ogres are mean! They kill! If you're part ogre..."

Karina knelt down so she was looking Genese in the eye. "I don't succumb to bloodlust. I don't think ogres do. Of course, the fact that they attack anything may seem like they do. My alterations are strictly carnal. I did tell you that Ahhspah was the ogre god of fertility, remember? I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. I've told you about me so that you know about why I am the way I am."

"Do you lose control?" asked Genese.

"Yes, but please don't tell Lorilei. There are times when I see a penis and I am overwhelmed with lust," said Karina.

"What's it like?" asked Genese quickly. She then lowered her eyes and blushed. "I meant your condition, if you don't mind my asking."

"It feels like my body is on fire, erotic visions fill my mind, and a red haze clouds my vision. I can't keep a coherent thought in my head. You've dated boys before, haven't you?"

Genese stiffened and her eyes flashed angrily. "A boy asked me out once when I was thirteen. My mother did not want me to go, but my step-father did. What I wasn't prepared for was for my step-father searching me afterwards for any trinket or money the boy might have given me. He told me that if I had been a whole lot friendlier to the boy I would have gotten something and not to give it away for free. I never went on another date afterwards."

"Oh, Genese, I'm so sorry," said Karina sadly. "You're free of your step-father now. There's nothing holding you back from dating, having a good time, or anything else you want to do. In fact, now that you know about me, it would probably be best if I sent you back to Lady Triarii."

Genese smiled. "Still trying to get rid of me? You got me mom away from that drunk, gave my sister a better life, and gave me something far greater: hope. I may have put you on too high a pedestal, forgetting you are human - well, mostly human - but I owe you. I won't leave your side."

"Genese, what I did for you I would do for anyone in the same situation," said Karina. "This is going to get dangerous very soon. Or I should say more dangerous."

  "I know," said Genese.

"You know Lorilei will be going with us?"

"I imagine it came as a shock when she realized that I'm not her maid," snickered Genese. "I just hope she doesn't turn me into a frog or toad."

"Well, you're not my maid, either," said Karina.

  "Yes, milady."

  "Genese, I mean it!"

"So do I. Do you know where we will be staying when we get to Firehold?"

"No," replied Karina. "We'll just find an inn when we get there."

"I've talked to the captain and have a list of some good inns and taverns. I also found out which merchants will give us a fair deal and which ones to stay away from. You have your quest. My job is to make sure you don't have to worry about the mundane stuff."

Karina laughed out loud. "Alright, you can do all the mundane stuff, but I'd rather have you as a companion than a maid. How about that?"

"No, milady," Genese refused flatly. "Being your companion would put too many restrictions on me. I need the freedom of being a maid." Karina only gaped at her. "Well, it's true. Servants, particularly maids, are invisible to most people. They talk and discuss things in the room as if we weren't even there. Servants are also more open to other servants. At the inn where you found me, I learned a number of secrets. In hard times, they helped me family through."

"You blackmailed the people?" asked Karina in astonishment.

"Of course not, milady," scoffed Genese. "That would have been too dangerous. I just sold their secrets to others."

Karina's mouth dropped open as she just stared at Genese. She then clutched her sides as she broke out in uncontrollable laughter at the complete absurdity of the situation. Karina laughed harder as she remembered how she tried to protect and shield Genese, when she did not need protecting at all. It took a couple of minutes befo
re Karina could regain control of herself.

"Tell me," she asked, wiping the tears away from her cheeks. "Do you have any secrets about Lorilei?"

"About as many as I know about you," replied Genese. "Can you keep a secret?"

"Yes, I can," whispered Karina, leaning in conspiratorially.

"So can I," whispered Genese, who then sat back. "Excuse me, milady. I have duties to attend to."

Genese stood up and walked away, leaving Karina sitting there open-mouthed again. Karina then smiled and shook her head as she realized she had fallen into a simple verbal trap. She also realized she would have to reconsider her assessment of Genese.

The rest of the day seemed unnatural to Karina. Genese had gone back to her servant role, except that she would not do anything for Lorilei. Lorilei took it all in stride, which surprised Karina. There were a couple of times Karina caught Lorilei staring at Genese as if she was also reappraising her opinion of the girl.

  Chapter 5: Golden Sunlight

Later that night Karina went off and found a secluded area all to herself. She pulled her pendant out from under her blouse and held it in her hand. Praying that they were ready, Karina whispered two names.

The ship's dark wood bulkheads disappeared and the now familiar pink clouds began to form as Karina found herself floating through the air. The creak and grown of the ship was replaced by a calming stillness, but Karina was conscious of the wind drifting over her and the barely perceptible trace of something else. It sounded like faint notes, but Karina could not hear enough of it to piece together a melody. Her concentration was broken when Tenan and Golden Sunlight appeared in front of her.

Karina kept her eyes averted from Tenan's throbbing erection and looked at Golden Sunlight. She was shocked at the changes she saw. Golden Sunlight's healthy reddish skin now had a gray tinge to it. Big dark circles under her eyes emphasized the fear and despair reflected in them. Her body was as tense as a lute string drawn tight enough to snap.
