“I don't want to talk about it,” he grumbled. “Let's just say that when I dated her, I was an even bigger jerk than I was a few weeks ago.”

He left it at that, and I could only imagine the list of things that he could have done wrong.

“Why were you such an ass, anyway?” I prodded. He'd touched on it during the plane ride when discussing his upbringing, but I felt like there was more to the story.

“I was just so eager to prove myself that I didn't care who I had to run over or push aside,” he shrugged. “That seemed to work for me. I mean, look at how successful I became, you know? But then I felt like in order to stay on top, I had to keep that cutthroat attitude.

You really did change all of that for me, and I have to thank you. I like who I am now,” Bastian confessed sincerely, and my chest warmed at the tender expression in his eyes.

After fueling up with coffee and enjoying a light breakfast, Bastian and I returned to our suite to spend time together on the balcony. I decided that I wanted to wear little more than a bathing suit for our entire honeymoon, and Bastian had no complaints about that.

We listened to soft music and relaxed on the padded beach recliners, soaking in the afternoon sun with drinks by our side. There was a lull in our conversation, but it was nice as the sound of the ocean filled up the space. The warm breeze had me ready to take a nap, and my heavy eyelids closed shut under my sunglasses. I felt a light caress on my belly, and soon after Bastian's lips trailing kisses up to my chest. My eyes fluttered open, and he gently removed my sunglasses before his mouth met mine. He inched over, his lips delicately moving against mine and sending shivers down my spine. The warmth of his body pressed against me, and I felt his stiffened cock brush against my side.

“Do you want to go inside?” Bastian whispered, and I shook my head emphatically.

“The palm trees are blocking us from anyone's view,” I replied with a devilish grin.

Bastian smiled as he kissed me along my neck and behind my ear. My body tingled, and I shivered as he positioned himself over me. When he pressed his hips against mine, I opened my legs so he could settle in more comfortably and his erection pressed snugly against my core. I gasped when he started to nibble at the sensitive skin of my neck while grinding against me slowly. My hands went to his smooth back as he captured the exposed end of my bikini top string with his teeth. I giggled when he pulled the entire thing loose with one quick tug.

“Where'd you learn how to do that?” I asked.

“A magician never reveals how his tricks are performed,” he joked, and I rolled my eyes with a smile as he pulled my top off and tossed it aside. I hooked my fingers into his shorts, and he helped me push them off of him. He untied my bikini bottom and pulled those off as well, then mounted me with his thick erection. I couldn't help but take it in my hand and began stroking him as he hovered over me. He hissed and kissed around my neck, then pulled my skin between his teeth before he nibbled his way down to my sensitive breasts.

Bastian's hips moved with my grip, and I loved the feel of him being so hard and warm in my hand. His tongue circled my nipple, and my fingers tightened around his shaft as I picked up my pace. He cursed in pleasure, and rested on his side against me so his hand could slide down to my clit.

I faced him, stroking his impressive cock against my belly while his mouth slid up to mine, and we clashed in a heated kiss. His fingers slipped into my folds, and I had to fight hard to muffle my moans. I was already soaking wet, and the sounds his fingers were making as they slipped in and out of me were proof of that.

Bastian groaned, and broke our kiss to whisper to me in Greek while he worked me with his fingers. They were repeatedly thrusting against my G-spot, and my entire body was shaking from the pleasure. I felt the sudden jolt as he triggered my orgasm, and I cried out as he continued to move his fingers inside of me. I shook against him and he pulled my leg over his hip, guiding himself inside of me.

I moaned his name when he filled me up completely, and his arms encircled me while his hands gripped my ass. He thrust into me hard and fast, and I clenched tightly around him in unparalleled ecstasy. Bastian couldn't keep his mouth off of my neck, collar, and lips. I absorbed all of his moans, and it heightened my desire for him. Moments later another powerful orgasm bolted through me, and he released a barrage of Greek as I tightened around him again rhythmically.

He slid out of me when I'd come down from my orgasm, and rolled over onto his recliner so I could straddle him. He guided me down onto his hips, and I felt him deep as I rode him harder and faster. He gripped my waist, and my eyes locked onto his as I felt another orgasm approaching.

His cock twitched inside of me, and our bodies convulsed as we climaxed at the same time. Waves of pleasure coursed through us both, and in their wake I collapsed onto his chest, breathing hard and feeling his warm cum dripping out of me.

“That was the best balcony sex I've ever had,” I muttered, and we both erupted into a fit of giggles.

“I think being inside of you is my new favorite place to be,” Bastian breathed, and all I could do was smile against his chest.

  Jessica

The honeymoon was an absolute dream, and we saw and did everything together with Bastian continuing to spare no expense. I was more than reluctant to go back to New York where I'd be forced to deal with real life again. Then again, the toughest part of our scam was behind us and I was also a millionaire. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. Still, the flight back to the city was quiet, as was the car ride to Bastian's penthouse…which was actually our penthouse now.

“You haven't had much to say,” Bastian observed as we rode the elevator up his building together. I looked at him with a small smile and shrugged slightly.

“I don't know, I guess I'm still basking in the glow of the honeymoon,” I admitted.

“Me too,” he smiled at me fondly. “We should visit the Caribbean soon.”

“That sounds like a plan…” I smirked. “I just don't really want to go back to work,” I said with a sigh.

“I have to go back since it's my firm,” he chuckled. “You, on the other hand…”

“What do you mean?” I asked as the elevator ascended.

“I mean your bank account's been nicely padded. That, and you're my wife. If you decided you never wanted to work again, I think everyone would understand,” he explained.

“You know that's not how I'm wired,” I grumbled. “Unlike some people, I actually like to work. My career's important to me.”

“I know it is. It's one of the things I lo—” he stopped short and changed his wording. “It's one of the things I admire about you.”

He looked a bit embarrassed by his slip. I was going to prod him about it, but the elevator came to a stop and the doors parted. Before I could step forward, Bastian swept me into his arms and carried me into the penthouse.

“Welcome home, wife,” he beamed, and kissed me softly on the lips. “I think we should go Christen our bed now,” he grinned.

“I think you're right,” I giggled. “We won't be able to sleep in it unless it's Christened,” I agreed as Bastian walked towards the stairs with me in his arms.

“See? Our minds are in sync,” he said as he carried me upstairs and gently set me down on the bed. We extended the honeymoon by having our way with each other until our alarm woke us for work the following morning.

“You look like you want to forcefully turn back time,” Bastian joked as we rode the elevator up to the office.

  “I do…” I replied with a sigh. “I guess I'm just tired.”

Bastian looked at me with husbandly concern, and I couldn't help but smile at his expression.

“If you're tired, you should have said so before we left. You can always go back home,” he offered.

“No, no, it's fine,” I shook my head. “I'm just pouting, really.”

He studied me for a moment longer before he nodded to himself. As soon as we stepped into
the reception area we were greeted with welcome backs and congratulations. I couldn’t help but notice that my co-workers had become more accepting of my marriage to Bastian and my position as Senior Partner in the firm. It was a pleasant change that made returning to work a bit easier.

“Knock, knock, Mrs. Senior Partner,” Jeannie burst, poking her head into my office. I gave her a wide smile and waved her in as I stood to greet her with a hug. I had to admit that I missed her after being around only Bastian for so long. Our honeymoon had lasted two weeks, and aside from some interaction with islanders and fellow vacationers, he had been my only real company. “Three things,” she began as she held up three fingers. “How are you, how's married life, and how was the honeymoon?” she asked with a saucy smile.

“It was very relaxing and very nice,” I told her with a laugh. “Bastian spoiled me, and I didn't want to come back to work today.”

“Of course you wouldn't want to come out of La-La Land with the love of your life!” Jeannie rolled her eyes good naturedly. “It sounds like the two of you are settling into married life well, then?”

“It's still too early to tell, but I think so,” I shrugged. “The honeymoon doesn't really count, you know? It's living together and being a whole instead of a part…” I didn't know where I was getting at with that, but Jeannie nodded as if she understood.

“I get it. Time will tell, I suppose. We should hang after work and really catch up.”

“Yeah, you mentioned being with a new guy and never gave me details,” I said with a mock scowl.

“Well, it's kind of still in the early stages, so I don't want to jinx anything,” she replied.

“So superstitious,” I rolled my eyes.

“I'm cautious,” she enunciated carefully. “There's a difference.”

“Okay, be cautious then,” I laughed. “But at least tell me how in love you are,” I teased, and a small smile played on her lips.

“Oh, please.” Now it was her turn to roll her eyes. “So drinks tonight?” she asked.

“Yeah, definitely,” I nodded. She shot me a wink before leaving the office.

When Nick strolled into my office moments later with a case for me, I took a deep breath, sucked it up, and got back to work. The week turned out to be rather busy since Bastian and I both had to catch up with the clients we were representing, and I was thoroughly exhausted by the time the weekend rolled around. Buying an estate on a tropical island was starting to sound better with every passing minute.

“What do you want to do this weekend?” Bastian asked as he drove us home Friday evening. “Think of anything, and we can most likely do it.”

“How about we just relax, sleep in, order some food…that sort of thing,” I chuckled, then yawned loudly. Bastian saw how tired I was, and smiled at me affectionately. We'd pulled up to a red light, and he leaned across the center console to kiss me on the forehead.

“If sleep is what you want, sleep is what you'll get,” he replied warmly. I smiled back at him, still in awe of how well he'd been treating me. After living together for a week, I could safely answer Jeannie's question: Bastian and I had settled into married life quite well. We already had a sort of rhythm going, and he'd been much sweeter now that he wasn't stressed about his citizenship.

When we reached the penthouse, I wasted little time heading upstairs to draw a bath and begin my two days of relaxation. I heard my phone ringing in my purse, but chose to ignore it since it was likely work-related and I just needed to unwind for a bit.

“You disappeared,” Bastian commented as he walked into our bedroom and found me undressing.

“I'm about to take a bath,” I said, and he smiled boyishly at me.

“Can I join you?” he asked with his brow raised in hope.

“Of course,” I nodded, “but we're relaxing, so no talking about work.”

“I promise, work is at work,” he said, and flashed me the scout's honor sign. I giggled and he pressed a kiss to my lips before he turned to head into the bathroom. I was about to follow him when my phone began ringing incessantly. I grabbed it from my purse and answered a call from my sister-in-law, Tasha.

“Hey, Tasha, what's up?” I answered curiously. It wasn't like Tasha to be calling me since we weren't that close.

“Jess…do you keep up with the tabloids?” she asked, and my pulse immediately began to race.

“I try not to actually, why?” I replied, my heart now thudding loudly in my chest.

“Well…” Tasha sighed heavily, “apparently a sex tape was just made public from your honeymoon. I just found out, like, a half an hour ago and I've been trying to reach you. It's bad, Jess,” she whispered, and all I could do was stare sightlessly at the bathroom door.

“Can you send me the link, please?” I said in a low, trembling voice.

  “Of course I can, but—”

“Thanks for letting me know, Tasha, I'll call you later, okay?” I cut her off and quickly ended the call. She sent me the link within a minute, and I clicked on it with a shaky hand. Posted on a celebrity porn site was a video, nearly twenty minutes in length, of Bastian and I having sex in the bedroom of the Maui resort.

The camera must have been mounted just behind the TV somewhere, because the angle was perfect and there was no mistaking who we were. My heart sank like a rock, and I struggled to fight back my emotions as a million thoughts darted through my mind. Who could have done this? It's not like the video was taken from far away, or even from the balcony. No, the camera had been strategically staged inside the room to get a perfect shot of us together in bed. My thoughts immediately went to the worst place.

Bastian had to have been behind this, I silently seethed. He's done it before. He released those pictures of us to the tabloids a month ago. Now this video…

I suddenly felt nauseous and couldn't look at my phone any longer. Kissing was one thing, but sex? My career was as good as over.

“Are you ready for the bath?” Bastian asked as he stepped out of the bathroom completely naked, smiling at me expectantly. That smile vanished at the sight of my stiff posture and troubled expression. Within three seconds, his face had turned from utter exuberance to concerned distress. “Jess, what's wrong?” he asked.

I looked down at the bed and swallowed back the bile that had risen in my throat. Without warning, I picked up my phone and threw it across the room at him. He caught it with ease, and I nodded at it while clenching my jaw in anger. He looked at its screen, and it took him a minute to process what he was seeing.

“I can't believe you, Bastian,” I hissed. “I can't believe you fucking filmed us! For fuck's sake, you idiot, we were already married! How much more did you need to prove? You already knew you were getting your damn citizenship!” I was screaming now, unable to hold back my rage and my tears. “Why did you do it, huh? Why?”

“You think I did this?” he asked with incredulous wide eyes, but my anger only spiked.

“Oh, please! Don't give me that Bastian, who else would it be?” I yelled. He stepped towards me, but I held out my hand to stop him. “Don't you come near me, you motherfucker.”

  “Jess, I swear, I—”

“You've done it before, Bastian,” I cut him off. “Why wouldn't you do it again? You think you can just do whatever you want without any care or consideration for other people. I thought…” I gestured at the phone and had to take a deep breath to keep myself from throwing up. “I thought you might have cared for me a little bit more than this!” I was so angry that I was dizzy and visibly shaking. The video had totally blindsided me. As furious as I was at him, I was just as furious at myself for being naïve enough to think he'd actually changed.

  “I didn't—”

“Bastian, everyone thinks we're in love,” I interrupted him again. “Even the damn immigration officer saw it. There was no need for this!”

Rivulets of tears mixed with mascara ran down my cheeks. I'd been so wrapped up in our ruse, I'd foolishly allowed myself to think th
at Bastian and I were falling in love.

“Jessica, listen to me!” Bastian pleased. “I swear didn't do this.”

“Whatever, Bastian, I'm leaving. Maybe I should stop by immigration and tell them the truth. If I'm lucky I can cut a deal for myself and they'll ship your sorry ass back to Greece,” I spat.

I ignored his denials as I quickly rounded up my belongings and left him standing alone and naked.

  Chapter 13

  Bastian

I was in shock and couldn't find the words to calm her down as she went on her tirade, blaming me for what I certainly wasn't responsible for. I was rooted to the ground in stunned disbelief while she collected her things and stormed out of the penthouse. My senses returned a moment later, and I realized I could still catch her at the elevator. I ran downstairs and found her buttoning her work blouse as the elevator doors opened.

“Jessica! Jess, I didn't do this,” I persisted. “I'm not behind this video, Jessica!” She stepped into the elevator with her back turned to me, ignoring my cries as the doors closed behind her. “Please believe me. I didn't—”

It was too late. The elevator began its descent and I slammed my fists against the metal doors while letting out a stream of vulgarity. I needed to convince her that I wasn't capable of something so horrific. Yes, I'd released the photos of us kissing, but a video of us in bed was a low I'd never dream of sinking to. I took several deep breaths and ran upstairs, still naked, to find my phone. I needed to hire someone to investigate this immediately so I could prove my innocence to Jessica. For once, immigration was the least of my concerns. I genuinely cared for the girl and didn't want to lose her from my life, especially in this terrible way. I called Stanley Cooper, the private investigator my firm used for sensitive cases.

“Stan, I need you to do me a favor,” I blurted as soon as he answered.

“Sure thing. What's up?” he asked with a hint of concern. He was an extremely quick guy, and likely sensed the panic in my voice.
