Worst Case Scenario Page 30

“How do you think I feel? I got shot the fuck up,” Gavin snapped.

“You can kill the attitude after I drove for four hours to come check on your ungrateful ass,” Misty replied.

“My bad Misty. Shit is just all fucked up right now,” Gavin said as he ran his hand across his face.

Even that hurt to do and he grimaced in pain. He was happy to be alive but he was sure he wouldn’t stay that way if he stayed in New Orleans. Nas might have a little heart, but Remo would kill him and feed his remains to the sharks. After being shot, Nas would probably want to do the same.

“Do you know who shot you?” Misty asked.

  “Those identical psychos,” Gavin replied.

  “Nas and Remo!” Misty shouted.

“Stop talking so damn loud girl. And don’t tell nobody else that shit either,” Gavin ordered.

“What did you do?” Misty asked.

“I got caught up in some bullshit with Corey and your shady ass sister.” Gavin frowned.

“Damn Gavin. If they find out that you’re alive, you won’t be for very much longer,” Misty pointed out.

“I already know and that’s why I need your help,” Gavin said.

  “With what?” Misty inquired.

“I need to get the fuck out of New Orleans. I might need to crash by you for a little while until I can get my shit together. I got some money saved up so I can pay you,” Gavin stated.

“I’ll tell you like you told me when I needed a place to stay. I’m only allowing you to stay with me because of our daughter. And I would never charge you anything. You made me feel very welcome at your house and didn’t charge me a dime. A favor for a favor,” Misty replied.

“Corey and your sister better sleep with one eye open,” Gavin said.

“Fuck Milan. I don’t give a damn what happens to her. That bitch was willing to let me and my baby be homeless.” Misty frowned.

“I can’t lie and say that I didn’t do nothing, but I shouldn’t be the only one in the hospital. All I did was provide a little info. They were the ones who planned it out. Shit still went left and I almost lost my life behind it,” Gavin replied.

“Well, I’m happy that you’re okay. I got a room for the night but me and Summer are leaving in the morning. Just let me know whenever you plan to come,” Misty replied.

“Shit, I’ll be there as soon as they let me out of this damn hospital. I’m getting the fuck out of New Orleans,” Gavin swore.

He was happy that he still had a cordial relationship with Misty because he needed her right now. He would never deal with her romantically again but they had to see each other because of Summer. Gavin had some money saved up but it wasn’t much. He knew that his parents would help him out and he needed that now more than ever. If all went well, Beaumont was going to be his new home for a while. He was happy that he’d met someone on his visit there, so he wouldn’t lack companionship. His daughter was in Texas and, hopefully, his new woman too.

“F uck baby. This shit feels so good,” Nas moaned as he bit and sucked on Stori’s neck. She had her legs wrapped around his waist as he bounced her up and down his length.

“They’re calling us Naseem. We have to go open up the gifts,” Stori replied as she threw her head back in pleasure.

Stori was a little over seven months pregnant now and they were at their baby shower. She wasn’t expected to go full term with the babies and Lady didn’t want to take any chances. The hall was packed with all their family and friends, but Nas didn’t care. He wanted some and nothing was going to stop him from getting it. The bathrooms seemed to always be crowded, so Nas pulled her into a small storage closet in the kitchen. Lady had all the food catered, so they weren’t worried about anyone coming in there. They really didn’t have a reason to unless they needed more cups or napkins.

“I’m almost done baby,” Nas said as he quickened his pace. They were on the microphone calling for them but they were too busy to answer.

“Where the fuck is my brother? I know I didn’t see him leave!” Remo yelled when he walked into the kitchen. Nas knew that if anybody was gonna come looking for him, it would be his overly protective brother.

“I checked the women’s bathroom and Stori wasn’t in there,” Kalani replied.

“I checked the men’s bathroom too. Is there a back door around here somewhere? Maybe he went outside to smoke,” Remo assumed.

“I don’t know but he wouldn’t have taken Stori outside with him for that,” Kalani pointed out.

“Man fuck! Roll me up something baby. You know my nerves are bad as fuck right now,” Remo said as he paced the floor.

“Relax Kareem. They didn’t leave because the car is still outside,” Kalani noted, right as something fell in the kitchen.

“The fuck was that?” Remo questioned.

He and Kalani looked around, trying to figure out where the noise had come from. Kalani walked over to the storage closet and tried to open the door.

“Who’s in there?” she yelled as he continued to twist the knob. When the door opened slightly, Nas stuck his head out with a frown covering his face.

“Stall them for me, Kalani. I need like five more minutes,” Nas begged.

“The fuck!” Remo yelled as he walked over to where his brother was. He didn’t see Stori’s face but he saw her legs wrapped around his brother’s waist. Remo fell out laughing while Kalani only shook her head.

“These dummies went missing at their own baby shower just to sneak off and fuck,” Kalani said.

“Did y’all find Nas and Stori yet?” Toi asked when she walked into the kitchen. Remo hurriedly closed the door to the storage closet, so she wouldn’t see anything.

“Come on baby girl. They said that you can start opening the gifts until they come back,” Remo said, making Toi smile.

He led Toi back into the room and told everybody what was up. About twenty minutes later, Nas and Stori reappeared and started helping Toi open everything. Lady was always so extreme with everything that she did. She hired a moving company to pick up all of Stori’s gifts and deliver them to the house. Although it wasn’t completely done, most of the house was livable. The only thing that had to be decorated now was the living room and two of the spare bedrooms. They had moved in about a week ago and Stori was happy that they were stable once again.

“Who the fuck bought these non-matching ass outfits? Why would they buy them something different when they know they’re twins?” Remo fussed as they put the babies stuff away.

He and Kalani were helping Nas and Stori fold and hang up the babies clothes. Every time Remo saw something that didn’t match, he tossed it to the side angrily.

“Put that stuff in the closet Kareem. Just because they’re twins doesn’t mean that they have to match all the time,” Kalani noted.

“Don’t be trying to cause a division between my nephews Kalani.” Remo frowned.

“You can’t be serious. They’re not even here yet,” Kalani laughed.

“It doesn’t matter. Don’t be trying to break their bond,” Remo said.

  “What bond Kareem?” Kalani inquired.

“The one that they’re forming right now. Bonding starts in the womb. See, you came into the world by yourself, so you wouldn’t understand that,” Remo said.

“What do you plan to do with all the stuff that you put to the side?” Kalani questioned.

  “Donate that shit,” Remo answered.

“What! Hell no, Remo. Nothing is even wrong with it,” Stori argued.

“Maybe not but it doesn’t match,” he shrugged.

“Don’t worry about it baby. It’ll be replaced,” Nas said, not wanting to argue with his twin.

He understood Remo in a way that Stori and Kalani never would. Remo wanted to make sure that his nephews shared a bond like the one he had with Nas. That was as important to him as breathing. They wore matching clothes up until the day their parents were killed. Jarvis stopped doing it after that because their clothes
helped him to tell them apart.

“You need us to do anything else while we’re here friend?” Kalani asked Stori.

“No, that’s it for now. All those diapers and wipes will have to stay in the garage for now. I don’t want their room to be too cluttered,” Stori replied.

She and Nas walked Kalani and Remo outside and saw them off. Once they got back inside, Stori took her shower and went straight to the bed.

“Are you awake Stori?” Toi asked when she knocked on the door.

“Yeah Stanka, come in!” Stori called out.

Nas was out back smoking, so she pulled back the covers for Toi to lay in the bed with her. A lot had changed over the past few months and Stori made it a point to always see how Toi was feeling. Not only had she and Gavin separated, but she had started dating Nas soon after. They moved out of their house suddenly and they were working in a different shop now too. Not to mention the two baby boys that she had growing in her belly. They’d had a busy year and she didn’t want her baby sister to be affected by any of it. Toi seemed happy about all the changes, but Stori always had to be sure.

“Seemi and Keemi got so much stuff from the baby shower,” Toi said, referring to the babies.

“They did but we have to work on some better nicknames Stanka,” Stori laughed.

“I can’t give them a nickname until we meet. Remember what you said? You had to see me first before you decided what you wanted to call me,” Toi said.

“Yep and you’ve been my Stanka ever since then,” Stori said as she kissed her cheek.

“Can I ask you something Stori?” Toi inquired.

  “Always,” Stori replied.

“Am I old enough to talk on the phone with boys?” Toi asked, making Stori’s heart skip a beat.

“Why? Did a boy ask for your number?” Stori questioned.

  “Yeah,” Toi blushed.

“Did you give it to him?” Stori inquired.

“No, but he gave me his. I wanted to ask you first before I gave him mine,” Toi replied, right as Nas walked into the room.

“What’s up pretty girl?” Nas asked as he smiled at Toi.

“Nothing. I was just talking to Stori about something,” Toi replied.

“You good?” Nas questioned as he looked at her.

“Yeah, I’m good. Do you think I’m old enough to talk on the phone with boys Nas?” Toi asked him. Stori was shaking her head saying no, but Nas ignored her.

“Yeah, I don’t see nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you let that nigga know about me and Remo. He don’t want no smoke,” Nas replied.

“He’s nice. He won’t cause any problems.” Toi smiled as she got out of the bed and rushed out of their bedroom.

“Why did you tell her that Naseem? I don’t want my baby dealing with none of these dirty ass lil boys,” Stori fussed.

“Don’t do that Stori. I know girls Toi’s age that already have babies. She didn’t even have to tell you anything. Don’t have her scared to come talk to you. Y’all have a good relationship and you want it to stay that way,” Nas said as he laid down next to her.

“I’m so not ready for this. Next thing you know, she’ll be wanting to go out on dates.” Stori frowned.

“And you should let her,” Nas replied.

“You must be crazy!” Stori yelled.

“Would you rather her date with your blessing or start fucking without it? I’m telling you baby, don’t fight her on something so simple because she won’t come to you the next time around. Shit, I already had three sex partners by the time I was her age. Talking on the phone ain’t nothing,” Nas said.

“Oh God. I hope I don’t have to go through that with my babies,” Stori sighed.

“Man, I’m not stressing myself out with that shit. I’m giving them niggas some condoms and sending them on their way,” Nas said.

  “Really Naseem?” Stori replied.

“Really what? Me and Remo gave Jarvis hell. I already know the shit gon’ come back on me and I’m ready for it.” Nas shrugged.

“But, how is that fair to me? I wasn’t a problem child. I didn’t give my mama no trouble at all. Why do I have to suffer because of the shit you did when you were younger?” Stori questioned.

“You should have checked my resume first,” Nas laughed.

“I’m getting my tubes tied after this,” Stori huffed.

“Nah, we need a girl first and then you can close up shop. And when are we getting married? I’m tired of asking the same damn question,” Nas argued.

“Calm down Naseem. Both of our divorces were just finalized,” Stori laughed.

“That don’t mean shit to me. I’m not waiting forever Stori. Don’t make me force your hand,” Nas warned.

“You can’t make me marry you,” Stori said as she laughed harder.

“The only nigga you gon’ be playing Bonnie and Clyde with is me. I should have took you from that nigga when Remo told me to. We would have already been married by now. That’s what I get for being nice and shit,” he frowned as he spoke of her ex-husband.

Nas got word that Gavin wasn’t dead but he really didn’t care. Remo wanted to finish him off but it wasn’t even worth it. He got the message and that much Nas was sure of. Being as hardheaded as he was known to be, Remo still crept over to his house to finish the job. Gavin was a lucky ass nigga because he had already moved and cleared the house out by then. A few people said that he moved out of town but Nas wasn’t so sure. What he did know was that they hadn’t seen or heard from him since they riddled his car and body with bullets. They were still curious as to who Gavin was working with because he wasn’t smart enough to plan anything on his own. That was a mystery that Nas wasn’t sure would ever get solved.

“I should have my body back right by the time the twins make six months. We can start planning something then,” Stori conceded.

“Six months! I’m not waiting that long Stori,” Nas argued.

“You really don’t have a choice. Too much is happening too fast and I need time to process it all. I don’t even have a ring and you’re talking about getting married,” Stori noted.

“That’s an easy fix. No worries love, you’ll have one tomorrow,” Nas assured her.

“We’re still waiting Naseem. I let you have your way with everything else but I’m not compromising on this one,” Stori replied.

“Alright baby, I’ll wait.” Nas smiled as they cuddled in the bed and watched some tv.

He gave in too easily for Stori but only time would tell what his motive was. She knew Nas well enough to know that he always had one. There was always a reason why he did everything. Unfortunately, Stori didn’t always understand or like it.

“S hiiiiit!” Milan screamed as she came and her entire body shook.

Corey was like a famished kitten lapping up milk as he slurped up her juices. If he wasn’t good for nothing else, he could eat pussy like a pro. That and the bomb ass weed that she now got for free had Milan keeping him around longer than she should have.

“Come on man, let me hit it one time,” Corey begged as he climbed on top of her.

“Nigga please. Your head game is official and your weed is bomb, but I’m worth way more than that. You need to step your game all the way up before you can get this pussy,” Milan replied as she pushed him away from her.

“Your ass wasn’t saying all that when I gave you the deposit to move though,” Corey snapped angrily.

“That lil five hundred dollars wasn’t shit. I used to make more than that in a few hours when I was dancing,” Milan replied.

Corey had her all the way fucked up. She didn’t have as much as she used to but she wasn’t broke. Without Nas and Misty’s help, she couldn’t afford to keep her three bedroom apartment, so she moved into a smaller one. She now lived in a one bedroom fourplex in a quiet neighborhood. Milan finessed the deposit money out of him only because she didn’t want to use her own money. She had another nigga pay her rent up for three months and she was str
aight. She sold the extra furniture that she didn’t need and added that money to her stash too. She was a hustler, so she would never go without. Corey was too dumb to see that he was being used.

“Whatever man. I’m not begging for no pussy when I get the shit thrown at me damn near every day,” Corey fumed as he got up and started to get dressed.

“If it’s being thrown at you so much, maybe you need to catch that shit. Then, you can stop asking me all the time,” Milan said as she scrolled through her Instagram.

She had stop commenting under Nas’ posts for a while but she was back at it. That nigga had Stori living in a mansion, but he refused to even buy a house with her. Stori was having twins and Milan was furious. They were on some power couple shit and she now worked in the shop with him. Stori’s stomach was huge but she still looked cute. That was something else that pissed Milan off. Corey was supposed to handle them but his stupid ass couldn’t even get that right. He talked all that shit but he wasn’t about that life. He sent his cousins to handle business and they fucked everything up. Nas took a bullet to the side and their scary asses moved out of town.

  “Fuck you!” Corey spat angrily.

“Nah nigga, I already told you no,” Milan laughed, as he walked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind him.

“Stupid ass bitch,” Corey fumed as he grabbed a towel to wash his face.

He felt played but it was all good. He had gone down on Milan a few times, but she never let him hit. He was giving her money and free weed and she was treating him like a fuck boy. Corey had baby mamas that he didn’t do as much for but it was cool. Milan was a bad bitch, but he was good on her. He started to take the pussy when she laughed at him but he wasn’t about to stoop that low. He had too many other hoes that he could get it from.

“This cheap ass pre-pay phone is ringing!” Milan yelled as she laughed at her own joke.

She was always calling him broke but she was always smiling up in his face. Corey got pissed all over again when he walked out of the bathroom and saw Milan smoking a blunt filled with his shit. Bitch was holding the pussy hostage but wanted to smoke for free. He was losing out on money but that was her last freebie from him.
