Stubbornly Adam turned and looked at Janeshia. He walked closer. “Well I guess you’ve won Janeshia. By the way I’m so glad my brother dumped you when he did. We don’t like whores in our family. Now who are you going to get to be your bastard’s daddy?”

Walker cocked his head and lean forward. He swung his hand connected to Adam’s jaw. Before Adam finished his sentence he went flying. His body fell over a chair before he landed with a loud crash hitting the floor.

“Adam, I’ll have you know my child has a father,” Walker said shaking his hand.

Ramsey chuckled. “Adam….Adam,” he said. “When are you going to learn to keep your big mouth shut?”

Adam lay on the floor clutching his jaw wishing he could take back the flippant words he just uttered.

Ramsey nodded stiffly. “Get off of the floor Adam, I’ve checked with Mrs. Perrault and an attorney and we’ve all agreed you need to go away for a while. He offered Adam his hand helping him up. “And maybe if you act real good, I might be able to keep you out of jail, maybe.”

Janeshia strolled over to where Walker stood. She clasped the hand he punched Adam with. “Walker are you hurt?” A thread of fear echoed in her voice.

  Walker shook his head.

Janeshia’s expression was full of uncertainty as she searched his gaze. “You knew I was pregnant?”

  “Yes,” Walker replied.

“God I’m so sorry for all the trouble I’ve cause. You’ve saved my honor twice in one day. I owe you everything right now,” she said massaging his hand. “God I’ve been such a fool not to see things clearly. All along you loved me and were watching out for me. And I was too blind to see it, that I loved you also.”

The corners of Walker’s mouth lifted into a smile. “I’m just happy knowing the beautiful Janeshia finally realizes she loves me and that she knows I want the child she’s carrying.”

She looked up and met his gaze. “You want me?”

“And our baby,” Walker took a deep breath. “I want the whole package.”

  Epilogue

Janeshia hadn’t thought life could get any better as she watched Walker staring out of the window of her office. She looked back at her hand and gasped again in surprise at the diamond ring, the ten carat cushion cut yellow diamond was adorned by smaller diamonds. The words Walker had said to her when he put the ring on her finger still echoed in her mind. “I love you so much; I want to put a ring on your finger and make it totally legal.”

Walker slowly closed the distance between them. “Janeshia my love, do you want a bigger ring? Is that the reason you keep staring at it?”

“Honey, if you tried to take this ring off of my finger, you’d be in for a fight,” she grinned. “But the makeup sex would make you forget all about any battle.”

Smiling, Walker pulled her into his arms. “You promise?”

  “Yes.”

Walker pulled back. “Janeshia I need you to make me a promise.”

  “What?”

“Christmas is the most magical time of the year. Make my Christmas wish come true and marry me on December 1st.”

“Oh my love yes,” she whispered.

At that moment Walker’s mouth covered hers in a lingering kiss.
