Sweet Southern Secrets (Georgia Peaches Book 1) Page 6

by Colbie Kay

Thinking about those eyes and the way Callie ate me up has me stroking myself a little harder and faster. Picturing the way her silky-smooth skin would feel against mine in this shower, us drenched by the water, her hands plastered to the wall as I slide my cock in from behind has my breaths coming faster. My own hand tries gripping said wall and my eyes close as I imagine her pussy swallowing me up so tightly, Callie screaming out my name as I take her to ecstasy. I’d grab the back of her hair and turn her head so I could kiss those perfect lips and swallow up her cries of pleasure. “Oh, fuck!” My hand moves faster, stroking harder until the first spurt of my cum shoots out. I keep pumping with shaking limbs until I am bone dry.

I needed that release because it’s been building up for weeks, but now I feel weird. She’s right there in the other room with Raine, and I hope I wasn’t loud enough for her to hear me. Deciding not to dwell on it, I finish my shower and go about getting ready for the date.

Walking out of the bathroom in my favorite black button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and my dark washed jeans, I find Callie in the living room with Raine already dressed and in her car seat. “You didn’t have to get her ready, I could’ve done it,” I state as I grab my black baseball cap and put it on backwards, then grab my house keys off the wooden coffee table.

“It’s no problem. I’ll get the Jeep I share with my sisters too, since we have Raine.” Callie smiles up at me, taking her eyes from her phone. I swear she’s a natural at this shit; I didn’t even think about how we would go on our date now that the baby is involved. “I was also looking up DNA tests and they have them at stores; you can just buy it, take it at home, and send it in. It takes a couple weeks for the results to come back.”

“Sounds good. We’ll stop after our date; I wanted to do some shopping anyway.” I walk over to Raine and bend down, asking, “You ready to go?” She kicks her little feet and smiles. I love that smile already. “You want to go shopping?” She gets excited, kicks harder, smiles bigger, and coos a little. Callie and I laugh, but inside I’m thinking that if she is my daughter, I’m in trouble. When she gets older, she’s gonna give me that smile, take all my money, and I’m gonna be sitting in prison for killing the poor boy that tried to take my little girl on a date. Gun! Yes, I need to invest in a gun.

Standing back up, I bring the car seat with me. “You ready to go?” I ask with more hostility than I meant to.

“Are you okay?” Callie asks with her brows pulled down, no doubt feeling the anger rolling off of me.

  “No!”

“What’s wrong?” Callie places her hand on my shoulder. When I meet her eyes, there’s worry in the green depths.

“I just fucking realized I only have fifteen more years to live my life before I’m broke and in prison.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Callie questions.

“Her!” I tilt my head down at Raine. “Did you see how excited she got when I asked if she wanted to go shopping?” I huff out a breath and continue, “Then my life flashed before my eyes and she was sixteen and I had to kill the boy that showed up to take her on a date.” I tell Callie all this in complete seriousness.

What does she do at my predicament? She busts out laughing, then covers her mouth while her eyes are saying, “I’m sorry for laughing at you.” When Callie is somewhat back in control she says, “Let’s go.”

We walk out of my apartment and lock the door behind us as I’m still on a rant. “I’m serious! If I go to prison, you better visit me.”

Halfway to her building I say, “She’s gonna be a little diva and get everything she wants and I’m going to lose all control over her and then you’re going to see us on one of those talk shows like Dr. Phil with the people that have the bad ass kids. Like that ‘cash me outside’ girl.” Callie laughs harder.

We get to her condo and she blurts, “Dex! You gotta stop. I’m going to pee my pants.” Callie gets the front door open while still laughing.

“That’s ‘cause you think this is funny, but I assure you this is no laughing matter.”

She turns to face me, holding onto the front door. “Come in. If you could see how ridiculous you’re being, you’d find it hilarious too.” Callie’s smile has me returning it with one of my own.

Taking a seat on the couch, I look around at her condo. It’s a lot nicer than my bachelor pad with the leather furniture, glass tables, updated everything. I knew they started renovating this building my freshman year, but I hadn’t seen what the inside looked like until just now. They did one hell of a job on it and I wish they would do my building.

“You must be Dex.” The girl’s voice comes down the hallway, and when she appears she looks exactly like Callie. I knew she was a triplet, but I’m not sure which of the other two this girl is.

“Yes, I’m Dex.” I stand and hold out my hand for her to shake.

“It’s nice to meet you I’m...” Her hand drops and her cheeks puff out. She noticed Raine on the floor beside me in her car seat. “Cayden.”

“Oh, you’re the sister I need to talk to about the babysitting job.”

“Excuse me?! The what?” Her eyes are huge, and then there is choking coming from kitchen.

Rushing into the kitchen, I pat Callie on the back. “Are you okay?” I ask while looking at her tear-filled eyes.

“Yeah, the water went down the wrong pipe, is all.” Callie doesn’t look at me, she keeps her eyes trained on her sister. Gazing between the two of them, I notice the different eye colors. Cayden has hazel eyes where Callie has green, but that is the only difference in their looks. Cayden is dressed in a blue tank top with cut-off denim shorts and her hair pulled back in ponytail.

“You wanna explain what the hell he’s talking about?” Cayden asks Callie with her hand propped on her hips and her eyes narrowed in an accusatory stare. Oh, shit, I don’t think she’s as keen to the idea as Callie said she’d be.

Callie huffs out a breath. “I was going to ask you last night, but since I didn’t come home, I didn’t have a chance.”

“Ohhh, Momma’s gonna love to hear this.” Cayden evilly smirks at Callie. “So...get to explainin’, sister.”

Callie’s eyes narrow. “You wouldn’t dare!” She takes a harsh intake of air. “Last night...” The front door opens and slams shut.

“Callie! Cayden!” The third sister stands there, looking pissed as hell as her head moves in our direction. “You are not going to believe what happened today at the garage.” She starts heading our way, then stops short. “And you are?”

“I’m Dex. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Cydney. Nice to meet you too.” She gives me a onceover before turning her attention back to her sisters. Cydney has grey eyes.

“As I was saying, you guys are not going to believe what happened. I was underneath this BMW doing some work when this loud booming voice says he needs someone to look at his car. I wheel out from underneath the BMW and he gets this knowing looking look on his face. He proceeds to tell me he didn’t take me for a car kind of girl when he met me last night. I’ve never met him in my life! So after ten minutes of arguing about that, he says he doesn’t have time for some little girl playing mechanic to try and fix his baby only to mess her up more. When I saw his sky blue Challenger sitting outside of the garage I gave him a lesson in what is under the hood. He then thought that was sexy and had the audacity to push me up against the BMW and try to kiss me and tell me how hot it was.” Cydney stops to breathe.

Oh, shit! I think to myself.

“You have to admit that’s kinda sexy,” Cayden says with a smirk. “Was he sexy?” she then asks in pure curiosity.

“He thought he was, until he got a swift kick to the nuts.” She laughs, while I hang my head. “What’s wrong with you?” Cydney questions me.

“Did he have dark hair and a
beard? Tattoos? Tall?” I ask the important questions I need for verification while rubbing the back of my neck with one hand.

Cydney’s eyes narrow on me, “Yes!”

“Ohhh, he sounds hot!” Cayden states and all eyes are on me, waiting for my reply.

  “He’s my roommate, Maverick.”

“You got anymore sexy roommates?” Cayden then asks.

“I’m going to get ready,” Callie finally says something.

“Your roommate is an asshat!” Cydney chimes in as she storms into the living room. “What the hell is that?” We all look at where she is pointing. She has noticed Raine. “Callie, Cayden, bedroom now!”

They follow her as I take my seat on the couch once again. Callie has some explaining to do.

Cydney shuts my bedroom door behind her and then asks, “What is going on?”

“The baby got dropped off in front of his door yesterday. Dex didn’t even know about her until then and she may not be his. He has to get a DNA test done.” I walk over to my closet and pull out a big box I had hidden way in the back.

“Do you really think this is a good idea?” Cydney questions with her hands on her hips.

“What, exactly?” I ask as I find the outfit and shoes I’m looking for.

“Come on, Callie! You know what she’s talking about. You’ve never even had a boyfriend, add in a baby to the mix and that’s a lot for an eighteen-year-old. Plus everything you’ve been through…it might be a little too much for you to handle,” Cayden tells me, straight and to the point.

“Can’t you two see how much Dex has helped me?” Tears shine in my eyes.

“Yes, we see that. But...a baby?” Cydney states as she walks over to me.

“I’m already in too deep.” I smile while swiping away a tear from my cheek.

“Oh my God! You’re in love with him,” Cayden blurts out before pulling me in for a hug.

“What happened to our pact?” Cydney questions, but joins in the hug anyway.

I inform my sisters, “Momma was right.” We all laugh and hug.

“I’ll take the babysitting job. We will be here for you, however you need us,” Cayden lets me know before we break from the hug.

They leave me alone to get ready for my date and I know then that my sisters will always have my back. We fight and we argue, but we love hard and strong. In the end, we have a bond that can’t be broken. No matter what we go through, a sister’s love will always hold us up. Knowing that, I walk to the bathroom with a smile on my face.

I’ve been sitting here for two hours waiting on Callie, and I don’t know what is taking her so long. I’ve fed and changed Raine, and now Cayden is holding her. I think the sisters have fallen in love with this little girl just like Callie and I have. I’ve also gotten to know a little about Cayden and Cydney and I’ve told them a little about myself.

I hear the bathroom door open, so I stand, getting ready to take Raine, but I’m stopped in my tracks. My heart seizes in my chest, all the oxygen leaves my lungs, and my mind spins at how beautiful Callie looks. She’s wearing a light pink sundress that gives her skin a sun-kissed tone and the flip-flops she has on match the baby pink color of her dress. Her long auburn hair flows down her back in curls and I see a little gold peeking through from the earrings she has on. Her makeup is done simply yet beautifully. She is drop dead gorgeous!

“Are you ready? Sorry it took so long.” Callie’s smile is bright and her eyes are shining.

Clearing my throat, I tell her, “You look beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Callie looks down at herself and runs her hands down her skirt.

I walk over to Cayden and take Raine. She pats me on the shoulder while saying, only for our ears, “You hurt her and I will hunt you down, weed-whack your man parts off, and feed them to you.” She gets an evil smile, and I have no doubt she is telling the truth. “Now you kids have fun,” she says in a normal tone.

I swallow a little harder than normal.

I wouldn’t tell Callie where we were going, but I gave her the directions, and now we’re parking in the lot. Callie’s eyes light up as she shuts off the Jeep and turns to face me. “You brought me to the Discovery Museum for our first date?”

“I hope you like it. The planetarium is supposed...” Callie cuts me off by putting her hand over my mouth.

“Dex, seriously, get that look off your face. It’s perfect!” Thank fuck! Her knowledge and passion of the universe amazes me, and I want to give her this experience and share it with her.

As I get Raine out of her car seat, Callie tells me how she has never been here, but always wanted to come. It was one of the things she was looking forward to when moving here. Until that night.

Standing in the line waiting for the show in the planetarium, we are surrounded by digital boards of the planets. As we walk into the dome-style theatre, the screen is completely red, with stars floating above us. It’s amazing!

We take our seats in the blue reclining chairs and wait for the film to start. The theatre goes dark, then the stars gradually start to appear. The narrator for the show begins to explain the stars, planets, and constellations, giving us insight on each. Visually, it is like being in space, and brings astronomy to light.

When the show ends, we stand and Callie starts to head down the aisle, but I stop her and pull her to face me. “Even though I don’t understand all this shit, Callie, I’m glad I got to experience it with you.”

“I’m glad too! I wouldn’t want to be here with anyone else.” I love when she gives me that smile.

“What do you feel when you look at the stars?” I really want to understand her love for Astronomy.

Callie looks up at where the show was just playing. “When I look up there, I see peace, quiet, reflection, and beauty.” She does have a point, but for me that’s her.

“Callie.” I call her name so her green eyes will look into my browns. “I don’t need to look up there to see all that. I see it every time I look into your eyes.” Her lips slightly part, her eyes widen, and a quiet gasp leaves her mouth. I can’t hold out any longer.

Leaning towards her, I caress her cheek with my thumb, and Callie leans into my hand as I gently rub her soft skin. My free hand moves to the back of her neck, bringing her closer to me while holding Raine with my other arm. Slowly our lips meet for the first time, and it’s just like I imagined; soft and warm. Our mouths part and our tongues meet, lightly touching at first, but sending us both into a heated frenzy.

I forget everything around me except for Callie Fisher. Her body pushes closer into mine, her arm wraps around my neck, and my cock grows harder by the second. As the kiss becomes more intense, she lets a small moan slip out.

“That’s such a beautiful baby you have.”

That brings us back to reality, and we break free from the kiss. We look over to the older couple making their way down the next aisle over just as the lady hits her husband on the arm. “Why don’t you kiss me like that anymore, Harry?”

Callie laughs and hides her face in my chest. “Don’t be embarrassed,” I tell her, worried she might regret it.

  “Oh, I’m not. But Dex?”

“Yeah?” I question while running my hand down her long hair.

“Can we do that again?” She grins up at me.

“You bet your sweet ass we can.” Who am I to deny her? My comment makes her laugh until I kiss her senseless one more time.

  Chapter 9

That kiss at the planetarium was everything! It set my heart, body, and soul on fire and I want more. I can’t believe that Dex took me to the Discovery Museum for our first date. Not only was it so thoughtful, but romantic because we all know he does not give one shit about the solar system, so for him to take me there is huge in my eyes.

When I told him what I
feel when I look at the sky and he said that’s how he feels when he looks into my eyes…those were the sweetest words anyone has ever spoken to me. All of this gives me confirmation of the type of guy he really is and it makes me fall for him even more.

We decided to have Cayden watch Raine while we go shopping, because apparently Dex is going to need a lot of room. Parking in the lot at the baby store and turning off the ignition, I turn towards Dex. “What all do you want to get here?”

“Everything.” Dex opens the passenger side door, gets out, and shuts the door behind him, then waits for me at the front of the Jeep.

He throws his arm around my shoulders as we walk into the store. After thirty minutes of looking at everything and being overwhelmed by all of the choices, we decide to get help. The sales lady introduces herself as Sally and begins asking questions. “How far along are you?”

“Oh, I’m not...” Dex interrupts me.

“We have a newborn.” My eyes cut to his and he just shrugs his shoulder with an innocent grin on his face.

Innocent my ass! I think while shaking my head at his antics.

“Oh ok, well we better get started at the cribs.”

After going over every single crib and the risk factors, Dex decides on a dark-wooded one with a changing table. We move along to the strollers because he said she was heavy carrying her around the museum, and if we take her anywhere again she needs to be pushed. That’s where the problems started. He argued that he didn’t want to be seen with a bunch of pink shit, and I argued she’s a girl so she needs all the pink shit. We met in the middle and got more neutral colors: black and green.

Moving on to the blankets, Dex picks out a sports one and I once again say no. This time he concedes, and we get her a furry purple polka dotted one. Next come the clothes. “Callie, this can be for a girl or a boy. It’s neutral.”
