Kyzeip walks on the ashes of the tree of death, he grabs a handful of ash, he grips his hand with the ash tightly and angrily punches the ground. Kyzeip hears a small sound coming from the ground, he punches the ground again and the sound was heard once more. Curious to know what's underneath him, he starts to stomp on the ground harder until his foot had sunken into the soil. Kyzeip pulls his foot out and the area underneath him had collapsed, he falls down into what appeared to be, complete darkness. Kyzeip hadn't felt any impact from the fall as if he blanked out, he looks up from where he fell, but all there was to see was nothing, nothing but a plane dark space. Unable to see anything Kyzeip takes out his phone for some light, but something odd happened. He was able to hear his phone turn on, but no light was emitted in the slightest. Not worried Kyzeip put his phone back in his pocket and took out his glove he used in the cleansing. Kyzeip activates the lightning crystals in the glove releasing electricity from his hand and like his phone not a spark of light was emitted.

Kyzeip definitely knew something was wrong in the dark hole he was in, he slowly started to feel the walls around looking for something he can grab on to climb up. To Kyzeip’s surprise the walls had a smooth, round texture like a cylinder, he knocks on the walls and the sound was that of solid stone as if he was in a tower. Kyzeip’s curiosity only grew from the situation he was in, he started to walk along the wall wondering if he’ll find anything else. Kyzeip’s hunch was correct as he suddenly felt a pillar of some sort in the way, he walks around the pillar and what happened next was something Kyzeip wouldn't have believed if he didn't see it with his own eyes. In an instant a cave was highlighted right in front of him in white, Kyzeip himself couldn't move due to the complete shock he had from the phenomenon. Kyzeip starts to take deep breaths and looked around to see if he can think of an explanation to what's going on. He looks down to see his own hand highlighted in white like everything else. Kyzeip was able to see the frame and wrinkles of his clenched hand, but as for what wasn’t highlighted, it was shaded as everything else, blending in with the darkness.

Realizing Kyzeip was able to see the area around him he turned around to see what was in the room from where he came from. Once again Kyzeip was in shock, the room he was in had been sealed away by a wall in between two pillars. Kyzeip ran up to the wall and punches it, the wall was hard and thick, making it unable to hear what was on the other side. Kyzeip knowing he had nothing in his power to break the wall he turns around to see if the cave behind him had changed as well. The cave remained the same as it was, Kyzeip started to think that someone was playing mind games with him. Kyzeip thought carefully: “if this is someone's doing how are they doing this, was I drugged and put in hypnosis, no what kind of sadistic asshole would go through the trouble to do this to a random person. More importantly how would they have found me, last thing I remember was falling down a hole where a tree of death was. If the fall was big enough to leave me unconscious, then that would mean someone was watching as I fell and had the equipment to fish me out. Chances of something like that happening are as good as zero, if I'm right then the one playing mind games would be my own mind. I don't remember landing so I must have hit my head and started dreaming, (Kyzeip pinches his arm in an attempt to wake himself up, but nothing had changed). Just perfect, that's way too real to be a dream, but there's no way this can be reality. Looks like my options have been limited to just one”. With nowhere else to go Kyzeip went on to explore the mysterious cave. After walking for a few minutes, Kyzeip was able to hear a voice. He kept walking and the voice became louder and clearer, already he could make out the voice was from an adult male. Kyzeip got closer to the voice to realized the person was praying, in the distance Kyzeip saw a silhouette of a man.

Kyzeip slowly approached the man, once he got close enough he disrupted the man's pray by taping him on the shoulder. Kyzeip touched the man with his hand and it went right thru as if nothing was there. Kyzeip’s first thought was assuming he miss-judged the distance, but the man turned around showing that he was as close to Kyzeip as he could be. The man's face was highlighted as young man somewhere in his thirties with glasses and a mustache. The man happily said: “a person, oh thank your god in heaven, who are you, where did you come from”. The man tries to hug Kyzeip but ended up going right thru him, shocked of what just happened Kyzeip just stood in place. The man said: “my apologies, it's been so long since I meet with another person I got carried away, allow me to introduce myself I am Rutilius P. Ander and who might you be young chap”. Kyzeip decides to ignore the man and continues to walk, but Rutilius didn’t want him to leave so he floated ahead trying to stop him, Kyzeip just ended up walking thru him. Rutilius tried again and said: “hold up a minute I know you can see me, please talk to me I need to know I’m still sane”.

Kyzeip stopped and said: “the one that needs to question their sanity here is me, as far as I know you're just some form of my consensus, just talking back makes me feel like I’m going insane”. The man's expression had change to an anger like he found out someone is lying to him. Rutilius said: “those teeth, those Savage teeth, tell me lad, are you one of those disgusting Kreetons”. Kyzeip thought to himself: “looks like that racist commissioner has got me thinking racist thoughts, now how the fuck do I get rid of him”. Rutilius said: “if you Savage think you can kill me you're too late, a great man like me has already fallen long ago, as for whatever racist commissioner you think I am tells me an animal like you is deeply confused”.

Kyzeip looked at the man and said: “you just proved yourself to be a figment of my imagine, I never said anything about a racist commissioner, I only thought about it”. Rutilius replied: “lies, I heard you voice, you said you wanted to get rid of me, like I said before you are too late”. Kyzeip replied: “okay I’ll play along, answer me, what do you mean by too late and don't even try giving me any bullshit like your a spirit of a dead man”. Rutilius said: “you are quite the strange Savage, I’m amazed you can even speak properly, I find it hilarious that you deny a soul when you will soon become one”. Kyzeip replied: “so you are going with the forgotten spirit story, this talk has been nothing more than a waste of time”.

Rutilius said: “you want to see what’s a real waste of time is just look behind you”. Kyzeip was curious to what Rutilius was talking about so he turned, what he saw behind he had no words to describe it. The wall in between the two pillar that Kyzeip saw in the beginning was closely behind him as if he never walked down the cave at all. Rutilius said: “this cave is never ending, you’ll die and become a ghost like yours’s truly, a cruel fate for the both of us sadly”. Kyzeip said: “interesting and what would happen if I walk backwards while facing the wall”. Rutilius said: “do that and you will how I died here”. Kyzeip began to walk backwards keeping his eye on the wall, after walking a few meters two more pillars appeared in Kyzeip's perceivable vision. Kyzeip turns around and the cave had turned into a room. It was large room with four statues and a hallway leading to a door, but that wasn't what caught Kyzeip’s eye. Everywhere on the floor of the room, silhouettes of Broots were everywhere. The Broot silhouettes moved around, some looked directly at Kyzeip but didn't attack. Rutilius came up to Kyzeip and said: “these monsters are the reason I'm dead, I would show you the remains of my body, EXCEPT IT WAS EATEN”! Rutilius yell echoed all around the room, but none of the Broots react to it at all.

Rutilius said: “I really wished those Broots would of came over and attacked you”. Kyzeip replied: “if that was the case, you would have contradicted yourself, as a ghost you can't be seen or heard”. Rutilius replied: “except to you Savage, your an exception, listen animal I don't care if you think this is a dream or anything of some sort. I must say this whole place is strange, I would call this purgatory, but I’m very certain I was still alive when I first entered this room”. Kyzeip asked: “answer me, it looks like that door is the only way out of here, but what's behind it, more nonsense would be the reasonable choice to pick consider
ing situation”. Rutilius said: “I would love to know what's behind that door, I will do almost anything if it means leaving this place”. Kyzeip said: “you contradicted yourself again, if you're a legitimate ghost you could easy phase thru the door like you phased thru me”. Rutilius said: “you moronic Savage, you think I haven't tried that already, other than you, the Broots and statues everything here pushes me back”. Kyzeip sarcastically said: “of course that make so much sense, I feel so incompetent for not putting the facts together”. Rutilius said: “you think this is a joke, take this seriously Savage or we'll be spending an eternity together. Just being alone in this lightless place is horrible enough, having to spend an eternity with a Kreeton will be a nightmare”. Kyzeip said: “so you want me to open the door thinking it's the way out of here”.

Rutilius shook his head to agree, Kyzeip continued: “I've been counting the Broots, there are at least sixty of them in my sights. The number of Broots alone is enough to overpower me, but that's not the main issue, the distance between here and the door has to be about a hundred meters. It's not much but trying to get there without conflicting with any of the Broots will be nearly impossible”. Rutilius said: “when I was here the Broots completely ignored me just like there are doing to you right now, you don't need to run to the door, but once you get there you will be unable to open it”. Kyzeip said: “let me guess you tried to do it when you were alive but failed”. Rutilius replied: “you are surprisingly correct for a Savage, the door didn’t open for me even when I used my full strength, but I know what to do to open it”. Rutilius was about to explain but Kyzeip interrupted him saying: “it’s those statues, they need to be moved to the correct spots”. Rutilius said: “how did you figured that out already”? Kyzeip replies: “each statue is holding an item, one has a sword, one has an axe, one has a bow and arrow, and the last holds a shield. There are four platforms with the same symbols engraved to the four wielding items, if the door won't open with force than the only option left is to use the statues as a key”. Rutilius said: “huh what, I mean not bad for a Savage but I was able to figure that puzzle in half the time”. Kyzeip asked: “puzzle you say, I guess that crossword puzzle floor pattern contributes to opening the door”. Rutilius said: “no matter how you look at it you will need to be a circus bodybuilder to lift up a statue of that size. But I will give you one warning Savage so use it, the second you touch the statues, all the Broot will attack and devour you”.

Kyzeip took out his knife preparing himself for an attack, he walks all the way to the statues without having fight any of the Broots. Rutilius said: “what do you think you can accomplish with that tiny thing”. Kyzeip replied: “more than you think, anyway forgotten spirit answer me this, if you really died here then where is your body, Broots don't eat the bones”. Rutilius said: “maybe these Broots aren't as picky, anyway you should focus on the puzzle. The shield statute is blocking the sword statue and the axe statue can't reach its platform if you move the shield statute first. Fortuned for you I’ve seen this puzzle long enough to know the fast solution, but I will only tell you the solution if you beg”. Kyzeip said: “I already figured out the puzzle, this is elementary school level”. Kyzeip stared solving the puzzle by moving the statue with the bow first to open a path for the axe statue. One push and the statue slide across like it was one ice, immediately after the Broots all charged towards Kyzeip like Rutilius said they would. Kyzeip stepped away from the statues and threw his knife at the closest Broot, there was no flash but the lightning could be seen from Kyzeip’s hand. To Kyzeip's surprise the knife went all the way thru the Broot and hit four others, each of the Broots that got hit exploded into dust. Rutilius said: “how in the world did you do that, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life, or afterlife”.

Kyzeip decided put back his knife and raised his hand forward instead. From his glove the lightning crystal started to spark like crazy, electricity started to run down to Kyzeip’s figure tips. Kyzeip grips his hand like he was holding a ball, the electricity exited from his fingertips and formed a sphere of lightning. Kyzeip then moved his hand to make sure he touched every Broot that charged at him. One by one every Broot ended up exploding in an instant by the touch of Kyzeip’s sphere until a white cloud of dust was left. Kyzeip said: “that was much easier than expected, back to the puzzle”. Rutilius had nothing to say, he was jestering motions on what he wanted to express. After a minute of silence Rutilius finally spoke: “you just used an element Crystal, why did you use an element Crystal”? Kyzeip said: “why, because I’m a Slayer, how can it be more obvious”. Rutilius said: “liar, a Savage can’t be a Slayer, only humans have the right to vessel the power of the guardians, your kind is against every aspect of our lord’s doing”. Kyzeip stopped moving the statues to say: “forgotten spirit how long have you been down here”. Rutilius replied: “I guess it been months now, maybe even a year, why have you gain a sudden interest in me Savage”. Kyzeip ask: “answer me what year was it when you entered this dark place”.

Rutilius answered Kyzeip: “I believe it was some time in August when I entered, so it will be 1622, why do you need to ask”. Kyzeip said: “1622, that was around the time the great war was ending, that would mean you have no idea about the Neo World Treaty”. Rutilius confusedly said: “war ending, Neo World, just what in the world are you chatting on about”. Kyzeip replied: “you only think you've been dead for a year but in reality it’s been seventy-seven years since then”. Rutilius with a shock froze in place, when he came back he asked: “what are you blabbing about Savage, can you not count, I said I’ve been walking for a year at most, so it must be 1623”. Kyzeip said: “wrong when I entered it was 1699, so unless death tampered with your perception of time, time moves seventy times slower in here, which would be bad for me”. Rutilius said: “I don't believe this, how can I miss so much in so little time”. Kyzeip said: “it not like you would have done anything since you're dead”. Kyzeip quickly goes back to completing the puzzle in a hurry, Rutilius asked: “Savage why are you panicking I thought you didn’t believe in any of this, I thought you said it was all part of your imagination”. Kyzeip replied: “considering and believing are two different things, yes I still don't believe in any of this is real, but I don't ignore other possibilities. If what I think is true, then days could've passed by when I was blacked out from the fall”. Rutilius said: “so you are worried about missing a few days huh, how do you think I must feel, outside is a whole new world where lowly Savages can become Slayers”.

Kyzeip had finished placing three of the statues on the right platforms, as he was moving the last statue out of nowhere a Broot jumped on him. The Broot bit into his left arm, Kyzeip took out a knife with his right hand and stabbed the Broot right in the neck and the Broot exploded into dust like the others. Kyzeip turn around and four more Broots charging at him, he fights back by slashing his knife killing all of them in one slash each. Rutilius said: “where in the world did they come from”. Kyzeip replied: “from the dust, look the dust is reforming the Broots back to life, all the more reason to hurry up and leave”. Kyzeip then quickly moved the last statue to platform and like Kyzeip and Rutilius predicted, the door at the end of the hallway had opened. Rutilius sounded like he was going to faint when he witnesses the doors opening, he floated as fast as he can towards the door. Kyzeip started to run to the door all the while fighting off any Broot that were resurrected and attack him on his way. Kyzeip reached the door and passed thru, everything went white, the word CREATE was flashed into Kyzeip’s mind. Suddenly images of a battle appeared in Kyzeip’s mind, on one side there was an army of humans attacking with weapons that statues were holding. On the other side there was an army of Kreetons holding spears and riding Broots, and some Broots even had armor like they were fighting along side with the Kreetons.

  Chapter 7: Time for Tea

The whiteness faded and the images Kyzeip saw were freshly burned into his memory. Kyzeip adjusted his eyes and looked around, he reali
sed he was back on top the ashes of the tree of death. It would have appeared everything was some kind of illusion until Kyzeip look down to his left arm and saw the bite marks left by the Broot from before. After Kyzeip realized that everything that just happened was real he heard Rutilius voice say: “I’m finally free, I thought I would never see the outside world again”. Kyzeip turned around and looked at Rutilius, seeing he was now lightly blue and was wearing a military outfit, Kyzeip asked: “answer me, did your clothes die with you”. Rutilius answered: “no, one day I imagined myself wearing my uniform and I ended up wearing my uniform, I guess you couldn't see the detail back in… wait hold on a minute why am I still talking to you”. Kyzeip said: “I will agree with you, given the abnormal nature of the cave it would've seem reasonable to assume a sprite to move on after leaving it”. Rutilius responded: “that's not what I meant”. In that moment Kyzeip remembered to check his phone to check how much time had gone by. Rutilius asked: “what is with that box you have, it's showing pictures that weren't there before”. Kyzeip replied: “you have a lot of catching up to do, which won't be to hard since you have nowhere to go, anyway the time says it eight in the morning, it looks like I spend the whole night in that cave”. Rutilius said: “you were able to tell the time with that box, has the future forgotten about watches”.
