“What?”
Cain bends down, kissing me on the cheek. “Welcome home, baby.”
“What?”
“I think the two of you broke her. Let me take it from here.” Jasper picks me up bridal style and carries me through the front door, past a living room, dining room, and kitchen. He doesn’t stop until we’ve walked right through the empty house and into the backyard. He sets me on my feet by the edge of a pool then leans down so we can see eye to eye. “This,” he opens his arms wide, “is our new home, pretty girl. Cain, Tanner, and I want all four of us to live here, together, for the rest of our lives. We want to fill this place up with mini-Memphis’s. What do you say, pretty girl?”
My eyes move from Jasper's to over his shoulder. They bought us a house? Jasper and Cain spend most of their time at Tanner’s, but it’s not the most ideal situation. It’s a smaller home and there’s not enough room for all of us. I never really thought about us moving. With everything that’s happened since I first got here, and finally finding a balance with the three of them, my new teaching job, and the new relationship that’s developing between me and my half-sister Piper, I haven’t had time to think about much else.
Tanner and Cain join us in the backyard and we all turn to look at the back of the house. “What are you thinking, baby?” Cain asks.
“I’m thinking we’re going to need new furniture.” I laugh and run back to the house. I look over my shoulder at the three shocked faces. “What are you waiting for? Our home isn’t going to christen itself.” I pull off my shirt and toss it behind me. I wink at my men and run into the house, laughing as I go.
Our relationship may not be conventional, not everyone understands it, but the love we have between the four of us is real. It’s beautiful, pure, and will last until our dying breathes.
I wasn’t looking for love when I drove into Memphis. I was a simple, pink haired, kindergarten teacher in mourning, looking for someone who didn’t exist. Instead, I found my grandaddy, Jim. I found an unlikely friend with my half-sister Piper, but I’ll let her tell you about that. And most importantly, I found my men.
My life now is front porch swings, picnics in the middle of cotton fields, rainy day muddin’, and late night love under the stars. Unless the mosquitoes are out. I refuse to step outside and be eaten by bugs. I lay my hand on my stomach, smiling to myself. They think the move, dealing with Arthur, and a new job has made me extra emotional lately. I agreed to go to a doctor next week, but I already know the truth. The timing on us buying a new house couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. With the new addition we’ll be adding soon, we’re going to need more room.
This little bundle wasn’t planned, but they’ll be loved like we love each other. Fiercely and without conditions. It’s the only way we know how to love.
It’s just how we roll.
The End….
For Now

To my husband, Richard, thank you for pushing me everyday. Even when I wanted to punch you in the face, you still made sure to ask me everyday if I had written any words. Thank you for loving me and ignoring my bad hair days. My kid, Brett Walker, you are my world. I thank God everyday for blessing our lives with you. My momma, I would be lost without you. Thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn’t give you a reason to.
Jane, Deanna, Jenifer, Kandi, Leigh, Serena, Nikkole, Eliz, Lucy, and Monica (wherever you are), thanks for being my book b*&^es. I adore each of you. Erica Collins, you are the best editor ever. Thank you for not marking the entire book in red and for always being so encouraging. I definitely owe you a Starbucks. Ashleigh Turner, I’m so thankful I found you! You have kept me sane throughout this. Thank you for taking on the burdens I sent you. You’ve never complained (even when I give you plenty of reasons to), and you are always willing to do anything I ask. Thank you for being you! Niki Thomas, my logo is perfect and so me. Thank you for all your help with it, the teasers, and for working on my top secret project. I appreciate all your help. Amy Naylor, thank you for taking the first step with me. I don’t think I ever would have attempted this amazing and crazy dream if it weren't for you. #RileyWalkerForever
