Jason couldn’t help himself as the words flew out of his mouth. “Where’s Mrs. Millhouse? I didn’t see her at the party.”
Trini shot Jason a dangerous glance while Greg’s eyes narrowed. It looked like he was about to cry as he stared at the couple.
“My late wife passed in 1967 during the war with West Alocenia. We were married for one hundred and seventy-nine years. We had never been able to bear children, but she was enough for me during that time. She was my soulmate, my female mate. We were supposed to be together forever,” Greg struggled to finish the last sentence as he broke down in tears. Greg sniffed and looked at Trini and Jason with tears in his eyes. “Make sure you take that potato salad in before it spoils. I have to go on a run.” Greg turned from the party and took off on a fast run. Without taking off his clothes, he leaped into the air to transform into a werewolf. His shredded clothes fell like snow as his copper brown wolf left them behind. Jason watched as the wolf let out a sad howl as it dashed into the woods. Trini punched Jason hard in the shoulder.
“Damn it, Jason, why did you bring up his wife?” Trini growled.
“I didn’t know,” Jason replied as he placed his hands up in defense.
“You could tell that she has passed. You should have never brought it up. You’re going to have to apologize to Greg next time you see him. Help me move this food to the fridge.”
Jason nodded as he grabbed several plastic containers and followed Trini into the house. The house was empty as the two walked into the dark house. Normally, Jason would have turned on a light switch, but due to his new abilities, he was able to navigate through the dark house with ease. It felt as if he had night vision as he weaved his way through the living room and dining room. When the couple made it to the kitchen, Jason noticed it looked like Greg had already finished cleaning the majority of the room. Jason could smell the cleaning solution and hear the soft dishwasher hmmm as it cleaned. Jason and Trini had been silent since their talk with Greg outside. Trini didn’t say anything as she grabbed the containers that Jason carried and place them in the fridge. Jason couldn’t take the silence anymore as he broke the trance they were under.
“What you said back there, so I’m your boyfriend now?” Jason asked with a smile. Trini looked at Jason at first with an annoyed expression but saw Jason’s smile, and she changed her facial expressions with a light smile as well.
“Yeah, you got a problem with that,” Trini smirked as she placed the last containers in the fridge.
“No, no problem at all. It’s just what happens if I just wanted to be friends with benefits?” Jason asked.
Trini closed the refrigerator and placed her arms around Jason’s neck. Her face was close to Jason’s as she rubbed his cheek and looked deeply into his eyes. Jason could smell the sexual aroma coming from Trini’s thighs.

You let me die Trini. You could have saved me. You watched me die and did nothing!” Kyle shouted at Trini. His face was covered in blood. He his throat was mauled opened and leaked blood as he talked. Trini could see through the other side of this throat as he was missing his larynx. They were both in Meekins Forest as Kyle paced back and forth. His glare was inhuman as it looked pure evil.
“No, it wasn’t my fault. The werewolf in white killed you. I couldn’t help you. I barely made it out alive myself. You sacrificed yourself for me, told me to run.”
“Shut the fuck up, bitch,” Kyle screamed. “No, no you only wanted to be with Jason. You traded my life for his. Was I always worthless to you? Are you happy whore? Now, that you got your wish to spread your fucking legs for him,” Kyle shouted.
“I’m sorry!” Trini cried.
“What about us, Trini? Did you forget about us?” Trini looked to her left and saw her parents emerge in the forest.
“I haven’t. I just can’t see you. I’m protecting the people I love,” Trini shouted back.
“How can you protect us if we’re dead?” Trini’s parents chorused. Trini gave a queer look at her parents.
“What do you mean?” Trini asked before she heard the howl of a werewolf. She looked towards the origin and saw Kyle shapeshift into the white werewolf from the forest. The werewolf charged towards Trini. As it charged, Trini readied her stance to shapeshift, but could not. She felt powerless as the werewolf charged towards her; fear gripped her throat once more as she awaited her fate. The white werewolf leaped over Trini’s head and landed behind her. Trini was confused until she realized the werewolf’s true target, her parents. In one swipe with its paw, the werewolf knocked down both parents. Trini screamed loudly as she watched her parents get mauled to death.
“Save us Trini, save us!” her parents cried until there the voices were silenced by blood.
She continued to scream until she woke up in Jason’s bed. Her skin was covered in a cold sweat as her eyes were wide as she looked around the room. She took deep breaths to control herself.
Thank God it was just a dream. It seemed so real though.
Jason shifted in the bed and sat up. He kissed Trini’s shoulder and rubbed her back gently with the tips of his fingers.
“Did you have a bad dream?” he asked concerned, as he continued to comfort her.
“Yes, it was terrible. Kyle was there, and he turned into a werewolf and attacked my parents.”
“Do you think Kyle survived the attack?”
“No, I watched him die. He was dead when I ran. My parents though, I have this feeling like they need me. I can’t describe it.” Jason nodded, his eyes were serious as he looked at Trini.
“Okay, everything is alright now babe, I’m here,” Jason said as he rubbed her back. “I’m not going to let anything happen to you. Come and cuddle with me,” Jason said as he pulled Trini closer back underneath the covers. Trini snuggled up to Jason, as they made skin to skin contact. Jason spooned Trini into his body as he laid his arm over Trini. The duo made a perfect S-shape in Jason’s queen size bed. She grabbed Jason’s hand that was draped over her and held it tight as she attempted to go to sleep once more. As she closed her eyes, she saw her parents once more. Their screams still echoed in her ears. Trini opened her eyes once more.

Trini turned on the bed to face Jason. His eyes were closed as he appeared to be sleeping again. He reminded her of a baby as he slept. Trini studied his facial features as he slumbered, and realized that he had one of the sweetest button noses.
He would have been an adorable child with that nose. If we have kids, I wonder if they would get his nose. Oh god, did I just think of our hypothetical kids? I’m happy that each room in this cabin has its own bathroom. Greg must be a millionaire to afford a house this size. I always wanted a house this big. Growing up in a trailer, I dreamed of a big house, where I could just be separate from everyone, and relax. I grew up with everyone stepping on top of you. If only mom and dad can see me now.
Trini walked into the bathroom and flicked on the lights. The white fluorescent light flooded the small bathroom. Trini turned on the hot water in the shower and went back to the mirror while the water got warmer.
God, my hair is a fucking mess. I hate sex hair. Trini combed through her hair with her fingers. Once Trini removed the knots in her hair, she used a hair tie she left in the bathroom to place her hair in a makeshift ponytail. Satisfied, Trini turned and hopped in the shower. The warm spray of the water pelted Trini’s face as she allowed the water to cleanse her body. The water felt therapeutic as the strong jets from the showerhead massaged her body. As she rubbed the liquid soap on her body, she couldn’t stop thinking about the dream she had, until she heard the door open.
Jason opened the shower curtain and hopped into the shower with Trini. He quietly pressed his body against hers and whispered into her ear, “I missed you.”
Trini turned and placed her back towards the shower. She wrapped her arms around Jason’s neck and looked in her lover’s eyes. “Hey stranger, I told you I was going to be right out. Just wanted a quick wash,” Trini grinned.
“I know, but I wanted to see if you needed help.” Trini raised her eyebrows at Jason and smiled.
“I wouldn’t mind a second pair of hands.” Jason beamed at Trini, as he grabbed the body wash. He placed a small portion in his hand and then lathered into Trini’s body. Trini watched Jason’s joyful facial expressions as he rubbed the soap on her body.
