Werebears of New Hampshire Box Set: Paranormal Romance BBW Bear Shifters Page 14

The woman, Dora, poured them two big glasses of her homemade lemonade. “There’s a cute little path down there,” she said, pointing down the street, “that leads to the most breathtaking scenic spot. It has a beautiful view of the mountains.”

Dora gazed into her husband, Morris’ eyes. “It’s where we first bonded.”

Grace paid the happy couple and her and Edwin headed for the path with the fruit and lemonade. “They were bear shifters,” he said.

“Really?” Grace asked, shocked. She hadn’t noticed anything weird about them, besides their close bond.

Edwin nodded. “I could smell them.”

They strolled along the path with the warm sun tickling their faces. A cardinal flew in front of them and landed on a nearby branch. It sang to them as they passed.

The path opened up to the scenic spot and Grace gasped. They were on the side of a mountain. The ground dropped off the cliff in front of them and opened up to an astonishing view of mountains, valleys, trees and a slow moving river. There was nothing like this in the city.

They sat down on the ground and Grace stretched out her legs, grazing her naked toes in the long grass.

She smiled into the warm sun as Edwin fed her strawberries. She chuckled. She was actually happy. Truly happy.

Her Dad and her old ‘friends’ never seemed to be happy. Yes they had good times but good times was not happy. Good times floated on the surface but happiness went down to the core.

She was taught that material things were the key to happiness but she wouldn’t trade this beautiful view, the soft grass below her, the juicy strawberries and Edwin’s soothing company for all of the yachts, sports cars and jewelery in the world.

She was finally learning what life was all about. Finally learning how to stop and smell the roses.

She leaned into Edwin and he kissed her on the lips. He tasted like strawberries.

“I think you better finish what you started,” she said, licking her lips.

He reclined on the grass, the sun coating his shirtless body. “I’m on break now,” he teased.

Grace swung her leg over and straddled him. She raked her hands on his pecs and lowered her head, letting her hair tickle his face. “Then I’ll finish it,” she said, grinding her hips on him.

She felt his erection harden on her inner thigh. She moaned and repositioned her hips so it was pressing against her pussy. She gasped into his mouth. He was so hard.

She rocked her hips back and forth until her panties were soaked through.

Grace kept an eye on the path leading to the road as she reached down and unbuttoned his shorts. Edwin raised his hips and she yanked them down. His hard cock sprung out and slapped his pelvis. She grazed her fingers up the smooth skin of his shaft as she kissed his chest. She gripped the head and rubbed her thumb on his tip, spreading the warm bead of stickiness.

His pecs vibrated, his bear purring within, talking to her. The sound made her wetter.

She lowered her sex back on him and writhed, harder this time.

She wanted him inside her but it felt too good, grinding on him. She didn’t want to get off even for the two seconds that it would take to slide off her panties.

Edwin leaned up and kissed her breasts over her dress. She moaned. Her nipples were hardening underneath. She wanted to feel his silky tongue on them.

She slid her straps down her arms, and yanked her bra down. Edwin was on her breasts at once, kissing them and sucking on her hard nipples. The heat of his mouth was warming her insides.

Grace kept an eye on the path, ready to pull her dress back up if any unwelcome hiker came to visit. She heard a car drive by, down the road in the distance.

Edwin slipped his firm hands under her dress and gripped her ass. She was rocking on his cock faster, rubbing him on her aching clit, on her throbbing folds. She could come like this. It felt so good.

His firm fingers slid down and pulled her underwear to the side. She moaned as he handled his cock, pushing the tip inside her, through her slick opening.

“Edwin,” she moaned, as he pressed up inside her.

She was so wet. But he was so big. He filled her tunnel fully. Completely. He hit every spot. Grace moaned, never wanting him to leave her body.

He lifted her up with his hands on her ass and lowered her up and down on his cock, slowly.

“You are the perfect sight Grace,” he said, his chest starting to move up and down quicker as his breath sped up.

Grace dropped her knees to the ground. He was going to slow. She arched her back and pumped her hips up and down on him, driving him deep inside her. Faster. Harder.

She glanced at the empty path ahead and then closed her eyes. Fuck it if anyone saw them. It felt too good.

She rolled her head back and closed her eyes, focusing on his thick erection in her, on his shaft rubbing against her wet lips, on her pulsing clit slamming into his hard pelvis and his hands on her breasts.

She made the right choice leaving with him. His dick alone made it worth it.

Edwin groaned as his bear purred, happy to have his mate back. It was such an erotic sound, the animalistic grumbling. It was primal and hot.

Grace clawed her fingernails into his sides and pumped harder on his cock.

She was breathing heavy now, close to the edge.

He grabbed her waist with a firm grip and held her up. She gasped as he thrust into her fast, violent. This was what she had been waiting for: to get fucked hard by her mate.

The aching in her clit spread out through her body until all she could think about was the release of the built up tension. Her chest felt compressed, she could barely breathe.

The pressure swirled into a ball inside her as Edwin’s strong hips worked under her. The tension grew in intensity. She was going to come. It was all she could focus on.

She moaned loud, not caring if anyone heard. All she wanted now was to release the tight ball that Edwin had built up inside her.

“Come on me,” he whispered, thrusting harder. Drawing it from her. Pushing her closer.

  “I’m going to-”

Her body lit fire as the pressure unraveled in an explosion of bliss. Her head dropped down and she grimaced, panting, shutting her eyes. She couldn’t breathe. It was so intense. The pleasure rushed through her, consuming her, taking her.

Her legs shook as she braced herself on his chest.

Edwin’s body jerked and flexed as he followed her, filling her insides with his seed. He grunted her name as he came.

Grace opened her eyes and took in the beautiful sight below her. There was a slick sheen of sweat on Edwin’s muscular body. He was breathing heavily, his muscled tight. He gazed up at her and the corner of his mouth curled up in a smile as his body relaxed.

She lowered her head onto him, nuzzling her face into the warm nook of his neck. He smelled like the outdoors mixed with sex.

He scratched her back as he whispered soft words into her ear. “I want to be with you forever,” he said. “I want to be your mate.”

She kissed his cheek, tasting the saltiness of his sweat. “You are my mate.”

He wrapped his powerful arms around her and held her close in his soothing embrace.

  Yup.

She had definitely made the right decision.

The past four days had been the happiest of Edwin’s life. His mate, Grace, was with him. They spent the days hiking and lounging by the river and the nights in each other’s arms making love. It was perfect.

He was back at Brooke Excursions and Connor and Sidney were thrilled for him. Connor even said that he was proud of him.

Grace threw her leg over his lap and laid down on the pillow. They were sitting on the porch swing, lounging around on the beautiful summer afternoon. Connor was racing around the cabins making sure that everything was perfect for the guests arriving the next day.

Sidney burst out of the clubhouse wearing a tight green shirt. “How about this one?
he asked, pacing around the porch. It was the ninth outfit that he had tried on for them.

Grace groaned. “Angie is a total nerd Sidney. She doesn’t care about clothes.”

He looked at his faded reflection in the window. “No, no, no,” he said, yanking it over his head.

“Will you stop stressing?” she asked. “She’s into you.”

The past four days had been like this. Sidney was leaving tomorrow to go spend some time with Angie. He was a touch nervous.

“I should wear a hat and get a fake mustache,” he said, scratching his head.

Grace shook her head. “I’m going to regret asking this but why would you do that?”

Sidney dropped his hands. “Because I’m a celebrity Grace. And I’m going to be walking around New York City. The paparazzi will go nuts.”

“You played two NFL games two years ago,” Connor said, walking over. “Even your former team mates have forgotten your name.”

Sidney turned back to his reflection in the mirror and held up a finger under his nose as a pretend mustache. “I look good with a mustache.”

An older man wearing a fishing vest and sneakers walked up the dirt path to the road. He was holding a thick blue file stacked with papers. “Who is that?” Edwin asked, sitting up in the swing.

“Oh that’s for me,” Grace said, jumping off him and darting down the steps in her bare feet. Her blond hair was flying in the wind.

The three bear shifters froze, trying to listen to their hushed whispers. Edwin couldn’t hear anything. The man handed Grace a stack of papers. She read through them quickly and then placed them on her Porsche and signed each one of them.

“What is going on?” Edwin muttered.

Grace handed the man a key and he got into the Porsche with a smile on his face. She leaned into the car and pointed some things on the dashboard out to him. The engine roared to life and the man drove away, waving out the window.

Grace walked back holding a stack of papers. She had a huge grin on her face.

“Did you just sell your car?” Connor asked before Edwin had a chance to ask the same thing.

Grace shook her head. “Nope. Traded it.”

  “For what?” Edwin asked.

“For us,” she replied. “Come. I’ll show you.”

Grace could hardly contain her excitement. She skipped down the road, practically running, with the three werebears behind her. “Hurry up,” she said, turning towards them.

She ran onto the property next to Brooke Excursions. It was a five minute walk down the road. A cute, charming cabin on the river. And it was theirs.

  Ours.

“What’s this?” Edwin asked when he walked down the driveway off the road. He looked up at the cabin with wide eyes.

“It’s ours,” she said, tossing him the key.

He snatched it out of the air. He opened his palm and stared at it in disbelief.

She had met the neighbor two days ago and offered to trade her Porsche for the cottage straight up. The car was worth more but she felt like she got the better deal. She was getting a home. For her and for Edwin.

Connor and Sidney snuck back out of the driveway giving them a moment alone.

“I haven’t had a home since I was ten years old,” he said, getting chocked up. He wouldn’t take his eye off the key.

Grace stepped up behind him and wrapped her arms around his thick body. They both looked up at the cottage.

It was perfect. It had a gorgeous porch that looked out onto the gurgling river. There were two chairs side by side just like the older werebears they met at the fruit stand. Grace could see herself with Edwin there in thirty years, still in love, still happy.

There was even enough room in the cottage for a couple of future bear cubs to roam around.

Edwin turned around and hugged her. He was getting teary eyed. She had never seen him so emotional before. “Grace I-”

He stuttered, unable to find words. Grace kissed him, saving him the trouble.

“Come,” she said, pulling his hand towards the cottage. “I want to show you the bedroom.”

  Edwin’s bear purred.

  epilogue

  Five months later…

Grace brushed the last stroke of paint down the peaceful mountain in her painting.

  Done.

She leaned back on her chair and admired her work. It was good. Her best yet. It was a perfect replica of the spectacular mountain scenery in front of her. The tall mountains thrust against the baby blue sky, the majestic trees with the colorful birds landing on their playful branches and the carefree river slowly snaking through it all.

Grace breathed in the fresh air mixed with the smell of her oil paints and smiled. She had missed that smell. She had missed looking at colorful fingertips stained with paint. Why did I give it up for so long? Painting made her so happy.

Everything here made her so happy.

She screwed the caps on her paints and began to clean up. This painting will sell really fast. Grace had set up a street stall in the small tourist village. She sold her paintings to the happy tourists walking hand in hand. It brought her a lot of pride that her art would be hanging in people’s homes, over their fireplaces, in their kitchens.

It was the first time that she ever made money for herself. It wasn’t a lot. She would never be able to replace her Porsche but it was enough to make her happy.

Grace gathered her supplies and hiked down the mountain. She wore hiking boots wherever she went now. They were much more comfortable than heels and she loved them.

The hiking path led straight to her backyard. She broke through the trees into the open air and saw a familiar sight in the distance. Edwin’s bear was walking in the river with his head down, looking for fish. He dunked his head under the water but came up empty. The water rolled off the matted fur on his forehead.

Grace smiled. She had never been happier. Edwin’s calm, quiet presence was just what she needed. He spoiled her. Not in the way her father spoiled her, buying her everything she wanted. He spoiled her with attention. He cooked for her, cleaned for her, fed her by hand, gave her massages without asking and listened to everything she had to say with interest. He was so different from the other men that she’d been with. Plus he fucked her senseless every chance that he got.

Edwin’s bear looked over towards her, raised his nose and sniffed the air. Grace smiled and waved. They had been talking a lot about having a baby lately. Edwin was ready and Grace was thinking that she was finally ready too. Well, as ready as she would ever be. She rubbed her stomach with her hand, imagining what it would feel like to have Edwin’s bear cub inside her.

She continued into her new home and placed her latest artwork on top of the cozy fireplace. It fit perfectly. Maybe she would keep this one for herself.

She flicked on the radio and hummed the end of the U2 song that was playing. The Radio DJ came on and began reading the news. She was half listening as she cleaned her paint brushes in the sink until something caught her ear.

“Scandal in the Presidential primaries,” the DJ said. “Senator Richard Briggs has dropped out of the race after his wife, Daisy, was found cheating on him with Senator Jerry William’s son, Devon Williams.”

Grace dropped the dirty paintbrush in the sink with a clang and turned towards the radio with her mouth hanging open.

“The Senator has pulled out of the race saying that he has to focus on what is good for his family.”

Grace snorted a laugh. Her Dad finally learned his lesson.

She turned off the radio as Edwin walked into the cabin.

  Naked.

He had regressed back to his natural state of no clothes since they had moved in. Grace had no complaints.

He walked over with lust in his eyes, his toned muscles flexed and tight. He picked her up easily and kissed her on the lips.

Grace knew what was going to happen next. Her panties moistened in anticipation.

She smiled as he carried her
into the bedroom.

  Sidney & Angie

  one

Angie rolled her eyes as the other scientists in her team packed up for the night. It was only seven o’clock. She turned back to the Graphene Quantum Dots Accelerator and set it up for another test. Her team might be finished for the night but she wasn’t going anywhere. They were close to getting all of the results that she needed for her study and she wasn’t about to let up now.

She hummed as she worked, trying to block out all of the distracting, friendly chit chat of her fellow workers as they packed up for the night. So Frank’s son won his soccer tournament. So Betsy and her husband were going to their cottage for the weekend. Who cares? Really? Who could care about stupid family stuff when they were close to unlocking a mystery of the universe?

“Wait,” Betsy called out, getting everybody’s attention. “I have an announcement to make.”

The team of five other Quantum Electrochemists gathered around her with smiling faces. Angie muttered to herself as she put down her clipboard and walked over. She hated being interrupted when she worked.

“I am happy to say,” Betsy said, pausing to drag out the news. Angie glanced back at the Accelerator. “I’m pregnant!”

Angie’s coworkers clapped and cheered as Angie jerked her head back. Is this good news? Betsy was one of the leading figures in her field. She had such a bright future ahead of her and she was throwing it all away for what? Diapers and sleepless nights? Spaghetti plastered walls and more diapers? That was ridiculous. What a waste.

Angie forced out a smile and clapped as the other scientists hugged the new mom.

“Congrats Betsy,” Angie said, when it was her turn to congratulate her on her career death sentence.

“Don’t worry boss,” Betsy said. “I’ll finish up the project. It won’t effect my work in any way.”

  Yeah right.
