Desired: A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance Page 14

by Monica La Porta

Now, a new day had come, and my heart was ten sizes bigger.

“Trust me,” Fabian said, smiling as he opened his arms.

I jumped into the icy water, and he was already embracing me, kissing me, caressing me, and I didn’t feel the cold any longer. Instead, I burnt under his hands, already wanting more. “Please,” I said, raising my legs to circle his hips and anchoring my feet to the hard plans of his back. “Please,” I whimpered when his fingers caressed between us, finding me ready for him.

“Stay with me.” Fabian carefully united us, seeking my lips while he set a torturous rhythm that was slow and had me immediately begging. “I don’t know what will happen next, but I want you with me,” he said, then kissed me, unhurriedly thrusting into me. “Say yes.”

Two nights ago, I refused five million euros and accepted a date with a famous actor instead, knowing that my life was about to change. I made love for the first time with a vampire who took my breath away because I wanted no regrets. But now, I looked into the eyes of a man who made me hope that love could be a possibility, and that scared me more than anything else.

  “Yes,” I whispered.

Fabian made sure I reached the very limit of my endurance before he stopped, then started again, with the same leisurely pace. When I could no longer hold my pleasure, he whispered in my ear, “I need you.”

“I want you—” I said, my world shattering in an explosion of pleasure. “I love you.” The words I’d never thought to say to him—or anyone else—formed in my mouth. “I love you,” I repeated louder, feeling joy bubbling inside me.

“I love you.” Fabian’s voice was rough and low, sending shivers all over me as exhilarating happiness filled me at his confession.

“I’ve been in love with you for the longest time.” His lips sought mine for an intense kiss. “And I won’t ever have enough of you—” He thrust into me with renewed passion until I moaned his name and he groaned his release.

Afterward, he brought me back to the shore and we cuddled in the peaceful silence interrupted only by the birds’ chirps. In the safety of his embrace, my mind wandered once again to the events that had led me to this moment, and I realized one big truth: I didn’t know what my future had in store for me, but the present was worth every second.

For the first time in my life, I was finally free to live and to love.
