“You look amazing.” I said shutting, and locking us in the bridal room.
“I'm wearing a silk robe.” Harper said, rolling her eyes.
“Are you?” I asked, reaching for the belt, and pulling it loose. “Because, it looks like you aren't wearing anything.”
“Cole?” She warned.
“I've missed you.”
“We will be on a plane, and to our honeymoon in just a few hours. I think we can wait, don't you?”
“Speak for yourself Sweetheart.” I said, taking another step towards her, and pushing the robe over her shoulders. It pooled at her feet, leaving her in nothing but her jewelry, and veil. “We should have eloped.” I whispered, running my hands over her bare shoulders, and down her arms. Grasping her hands in mine, I gently pulled her towards the chaise in the middle of the room. I shrugged my suit jacket off, followed by my shirt, and slacks. When I was just as vulnerable as she was, I pulled her into my arms.
I kissed her lips, her jaw line, her neck, all while my hands roamed over her delectable body. Her hands started to do the same, and when our kisses turned to frenzy, I spun her around. She laughed, as I kissed the back of her bare neck. “I like your hair up.” I whispered, cupping her breasts in my hands. My erection was pressing against her backside, and she wriggled her hips, enticing me further. I slipped one hand down her torso, and the other over her back, bending her over in front of me.
She gasped in surprise, when my hands found her ass, and I teased her pussy with the promise of my cock. “Are you wet for me Sweetheart?” I hissed.
“Mmm.” She whispered.
“Tell me Harper. Say the words.”
“You make me so fucking wet.” She whispered shyly, making my cock twitch in anticipation.
“What do you want Sweetheart?”
“You.”
I slipped my cock into her waiting core slowly, until I couldn't press any further. She moaned when I filled her, and the sound alone made me feel even harder. I loved the little mewling sounds she made when I was inside of her. I moved in, and out of her agonizingly slow, prolonging the pleasure for both of us. I teased her this way, until her moans turned into something more carnal. I recognized the need in her voice, because it was the same need I felt every time I was with her.
I sped up then, my fingers pressing into either side of her hips. I bent to place a kiss on her back, and I could feel the goosebumps crawling on her skin. My angle changed then, and she moaned louder. “Shh Sweetheart. We don't want anyone to hear us.” I whispered, as I increased my speed once again, hitting her deep in the back of her pussy.
“Cole!” She cried out, half moan, half whisper.
“Shh.” I laughed, moving my right hand from her hip, and running it up her torso until I reached her mouth. Her moans were now muffled by my hand, and I used the leverage to my advantage, burying myself balls deep into her wet sheath. She dug her nails into the chaise, trying to cry out, as I felt her walls tighten around me. “That's it Sweetheart.” I said roughly. “Cum for me.” I rode my own orgasm out behind hers, and when I came inside of her, she tightened around me once again, moaning almost incoherently. “See?” I asked, kissing her just behind the ear. “Aren't you more relaxed now?”
She giggled, the vibration reminding me that I was still inside of her. “Fuck, Harper.” I said, kissing her there again. “Are you sure it isn't too late to elope?” I teased as I stood, bringing her up with me, and turning her in my arms.
“We have a church full of guests.” She said, her cheeks still flushed. A loud knock startled her, making her jump, and clutch her chest. I covered my mouth, trying to hide my laughter, as I bent down to pick up her robe. After tying her securely back into it, I slipped into the bathroom with my own clothes to clean myself up. As soon I shut myself in, I heard the other door open.
“Why aren't you dressed?” Evie asked, looking around the room. “Why are you so flushed? Is the air conditioning working in here? I'll get someone to come check it.” She rambled, as Zoe entered the room. She took one good look at Harper, and told Evie not to bother calling anyone. When I exited the bathroom, the only person who looked surprised was Evie. It was clear she put two, and two together though by the blush creeping up on her face.
“I'll see you soon.” I said, grabbing Harper's hand and pulling her flush against me. She laughed, caught off guard by my sudden impulse. Giving her a wink, I dipped her, before kissing her senseless. When I pulled her back up, I turned, and left the room like nothing ever happened. She was probably still covering her lips with her hand, when I turned the corner.
“Show off!” Zoe yelled, slamming the door shut behind me. I couldn't help but laugh. This was the happiest day of my life, and the best part hadn't even happened yet. Nothing was going to ruin it for me.
I found the guys right where I left them, sitting in the groom's room. I walked past them, grabbing my tie from the rack, and placing it around my neck. I was never good at tying these damn things, and Wes knew that. Before I even had to ask, he was standing in front of me, working the contraption into some kind of knot. “Did you walk the nerves out?” He asked.
I may have told them I was going for a walk on the beach to clear my head. I wasn't the kiss and tell kind of guy, besides the girls knew, and by the time the reception hit, everyone else would too. “Something like that.” I said, as Wes straightened my finished tie.
“You know, a few years ago I offered Wes an out.” Jake said, coming to stand beside me. He pulled a flask from the inside of his coat jacket, and screwed the top off. “First, we all take a shot.” He said, pressing the flask to his lips, before passing it to me, and then Wes. “Now, if you want out. Tell us now.”
“Don't tell me you have some kind of plan?” I asked.
“I may, or may not have come up with a distraction in case your feet got a little too cold.”
“What kind of distraction?”
“Don't worry about that. You only need to know, if we need to use it.”
“Whatever it is, we won't be needing it. Not today boys. I'm doing this. I'm marrying Harper Blue.”
Chapter 31
I stood at the end of the aisle, with Wes beside me. Zoe, and Evie were on the opposite side, and when the music cued, I thought my heart was going to drop into my stomach. Jake, was walking Harper down the aisle. The two became close after the prom incident, and I was grateful that he could be here for her today.
I smiled when her eyes caught mine. She was absolutely stunning in a lace mermaid cut dress. It hugged her curves in all the right places, and the plunging neckline left little to be desired. Normally, I would have rushed to cover her up, but today was her day, and I was proud of her. She'd come a long way from hiding behind baggy sweaters, to finally feeling comfortable with her body, and herself.
I felt tears beginning to form behind my eyes, and as hard as I tried to hold them back, I couldn't. I knew the guys would give me shit later for it, but I didn't give a damn. I'd be a million miles away, laying in a secluded bungalow in the Bahamas. Harper thought it was a bit munch, but I convinced her. Apparently telling your future wife, that she would only get one honeymoon because you couldn't live without her was romantic. It also earned me a very productive night. I smiled at the thought, just as Jake placed Harper's hands in mine.
“Hello gorgeous.” I whispered, enticing that blush on her cheeks that I loved so much.
“Hi.” She whispered back, trying to contain her smile.
The priest smiled at us both, before opening his bible. “The couple asked me to read a short verse before we begin, so at this time I'd like to ask for everyone's full attention.” Glancing around the room he ensured everyone was ready, before continuing. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” Tucking his bible back under his arm, he smiled wide. “Those of you who know of Cole, and Harper's
story, know that it hasn't always been an easy one. Like every relationship, they've had many ups, and many downs, but in the end their hearts found a home in each other. And that, is why we've all gathered here today.”
A tear slid down Harper's cheek, and I wiped it away with the pad of my thumb. She smiled, leaning into my touch, as the priest began the vows. I listened intently, as Harper repeated hers, her voice soft, and vulnerable. When the time came for her to say I do, her smile grew bright, and wide. “I do.” She said, biting her bottom lip, her happiness bursting at the seams. It was my turn now, and my eyes never left hers as I repeated my own vows. I could feel her hands shaking, and I gave them little squeeze just before saying “I do.”
“By the power invested in me, by the state of California, I now pronounce you husband, and wife. You may kiss the bride!” The priest finished excitedly.
I released her hands, placing my own on her cheeks. “You ready Sweetheart?” I asked, and she nodded yes, grinning from ear to ear. In one swift movement, I scooped her up into a princess hold, locking my lips on hers as soon as her arms were wrapped safely around my neck. The entire church stood, clapping, and cheering. We had quite the turn out. A lot of kids from Harper's House were in attendance, as well as the many customers from Violets are Blue. The name was a nod to Harper's maiden name, and Vanessa's favorite flower. Despite all that's happened over the past year, Harper still found a way to memorialize the sister that she had once been. We both found something we loved there. Harper got to create, and have the shop she'd always dreamed of, and I learned that I was pretty good at the business aspect. Even my ex boss was in attendance. Jim was a hell of a guy, and genuinely happy for the two of us.
I carried my new bride down the aisle, and towards the exit. We entered a swarm of bubbles, on our way to the car. All of the kids aiming their wands in our direction. They laughed, as Harper ducked her head into the crook of my neck, saving herself. The reception was being held at Harper's House, and the two of us had a limo all to ourselves. When we were safely shut inside, I tucked my wife into my side, kissing her temple. “How does it feel to be Mrs. Stephens?” I asked.
“Meh?” She said, shrugging her shoulders.
“I'll show you Meh.” I teased tickling her rib cage, until she fell into a fit of giggles. She kicked, and squirmed, trying everything to get away, but she was no match for me. “Do you give up?” I asked, giving her a moment of peace.
“You're going to rip my dress.” She said, catching her breath, and smoothing the fabric over.
“You really do look amazing Sweetheart. I wanted to carry you out over my shoulder the minute I seen you coming down that aisle.”
“Too much?” She asked, referring to the ultra low neckline.
“Do you think it's too much?” I asked, placing my hand on her thigh.
“I did, but then when I saw myself in the mirror, I mean actually saw myself... I felt beautiful. I never thought that about myself before, not before meeting you. You make me feel beautiful every day.”
“You are beautiful Harper, inside, and out, and don't you ever forget it.”
The car came to a stop then, and I reached for her hand, taking it firmly in mine. “Ready to go show these kids how it's done?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.
“Let's go Swayze.” She teased, rolling her eyes. Little did she know, that little dig was going to cost her a dance to “I've had the time of my life.” And, I planned on mouthing every word just like he did in Dirty Dancing. It was her favorite movie after all, and I couldn't miss the chance to turn her cheeks my favorite shade of red.
The DJ we hired announced the couples as they went in, and Harper, and I were last. The grand entrance they called it. It didn't matter to me any, the sooner we danced, the sooner I'd have my new wife to myself. Our song cued up the minute we stepped onto the dance floor. I pulled Harper tightly against me, resting my hands just above her ass. She gave me a look, pleading with me not to embarrass her. I smiled, letting my hands drift a little lower.
“Cole.” She whispered. “This is our wedding dance. People are watching.” She said between gritted teeth.
“Tell that to my penis.” I said, purposely grinding against her, exposing my growing erection. “You shouldn't have picked such a sexy dress.” I whispered, running my hands up her bare back, where the fabric was cut out in an intricate lace design. “Especially because I know you aren't wearing anything underneath of it.”
“OK, now I'm ready to leave.”
I laughed, as the other couples began to join us on the dance floor. Soon, we'd be switching partners for the dollar dance, and I needed to get myself under control. I tried to think about anything other than the woman I held in my arms, but it wasn't working. The harder I tried not to think about her, the more that I did. “Do you think we could pay them not to dance with us?” I asked, in all seriousness.
“I don't think that's how it works.” She laughed, standing on her tip toes to press her lips to mine.
“You aren't helping.” I said, kissing her back.
The song had just ended, and the DJ was in the middle of switching it when a loud screech caught everyone's attention. Like a scene from a movie, all eyes were on Zoe, who was standing on the dance floor, with what appeared to be a very large puddle of water beneath her.
“It's OK guys!” She called out, raising her hand. “I uh, my water just broke.” She grabbed her stomach then, doubling over in pain. “Fuck!” She yelled, as Wes stood beside her, holding her steady. Evie suddenly appeared out of nowhere, ushering them both to her office.
“Enjoy the reception everyone!” Harper yelled, as she grabbed my hand, and followed behind them. “Just keep dancing, and enjoy the food!” She called out over her shoulder before shutting us all inside of Evie's office.
“What are you doing?” Zoe asked, as she breathed through what I thought may be a contraction. “It's your wedding day! Get out of here- ahhh!”
“Zoe, I need you to lay down on the exam table. The ambulance is on it's way, but I need to see if you're dilated.” Evie said, taking charge of the situation. “Everyone except for Wes, out.” She ordered.
Harper, and I scrambled from the room, with Jake on our heels. “Hell of a reception you put on brother.” Jake said, in an attempt to make light of the situation. Zoe screamed on the other side of the door, and I cringed at the sound. Harper laughed, seemingly amused by my reaction.
Evie popped her head around the door then. “I need towels, clean ones, and water. These babies are coming now.” She said brushing past me, stopping in front of Jake. She opened his jacket, reaching in to grab his flask. “We need this more than you right now.” The three of us stood there staring at Evie like she was crazy, until she snapped her fingers in Jake's face. “Go! Get towels, and water now. Cole, Harper, go outside and wait for the ambulance. When they get here, bring them in.”
This time no one stood around, we broke off, each of us heading in our respected directions. I stood beside Harper outside of the building, her hand firmly in mine. “Well, we were just talking about how we don't have enough excitement in our lives.” I joked.
“I think we've had enough excitement to last us until we're in our eighties.” She laughed. “Do you think Zoe will be alright?” She asked, her tone softening.
“Of course she will Sweetheart. Wes, on the other hand? He'll be the one hauled out on the stretcher.”
Chapter 32
“I feel guilty leaving when Zoe's in labor.” Harper said, trying to convince me one last time that we should put our honeymoon on hold.
“Wes, and Zoe both told us to go. They'll call us as soon as the babies are born, and you know they'll send millions of pictures. I'm a selfish man Harper, and I want to be on a beach in the Bahamas worshiping every. Last. Inch of my new wife.”
“Well, when you put it like that.” She teased.
The announcement for the final boarding call rang out over the speaker system, and I gave Harper's hand a squ
eeze. “Ready?” I asked.
“Ready.” She smiled excitedly.
Our flight left at ten PM, and we only had one stop on the way. Our total time was a little over ten hours, and I was hoping we'd both sleep through the flight after the initial stop. Neither of us were fond of flying, but if it meant going to paradise, we could handle it. I gave Harper the window seat, so she wouldn't be stuck between myself, and some douche bag that was clearly eye fucking her.
She was wearing a comfortable pair of cotton shorts, and a plain white tee shirt, but the woman could make a potato sack look sexy. I made sure to place my hand possessively on her thigh when we took our seats. My pinky finger, may have grazed her panties, causing her to blush. She gave me the look, and I just smiled. She rolled her eyes, before resting her head on my shoulder, resigned to the fact that I was going to do whatever I wanted.
We were only in the air for an hour, or so before she drifted off to sleep. I kissed the top of her head, looking down at her left hand, admiring the ring she now permanently wore on her finger.
“Newlyweds?” The man beside me asked, noticing my cheesy grin no doubt.
“Yeah.” I said, turning my head away from Harper, and towards him.
“Congratulations.” He said, giving her the once over. “She's beautiful.”
“What happens if someone starts a fight on a plane? It's not like they can turn the plane around, can they? No. They'd probably restrain whoever started it until they could land safely somewhere. I guess we won't really know though, unless someone actually starts that fight.”
“It was only a compliment.”
“I saw the way you complimented her as she took her seat. I also saw how you complimented the flight attendants, and two other female passengers. That's why you get to sit with me.” I winked, turning back towards Harper once again. I was done with this asshole, and he needed to realize that before he said something to really piss me off.
