‘I’m more than okay,’ he said, unable to hide his smug smile.
Justin grinned, letting out a long sigh while Kit laughed.
‘Please don’t say anything to anyone, especially mum. You know what she’s like.’
‘Mother thinks you’re going out with a transvestite and…’ Justin hesitated. ‘It is a woman, isn’t it?’
‘Yes,’ groaned Kit, shaking his head and facing the mirror. ‘A beautiful woman.’
‘Beautiful?’
‘Why not ‘beautiful’?’
‘And she fancies you?’ laughed out Justin. ‘Well, I never!’ He walked towards Kit, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. ‘You do look extremely happy.’
‘I am, I really am and-.’
The buzzer from the front door was being pressed.
‘Someone’s early,’ his brother said, kissing him on the forehead. ‘Is it all down to the tap dancing classes?’ Justin stared at him right in the eye. ‘Are you knocking off Estella?’
‘You’ve rumbled me.’ Kit could feel his blush and knew Justin had picked up on it. ‘But don’t tell anyone.’
Once again, the buzzer went and Justin grumbled before walking out and running down the two flights of steps to the ground floor.
Kit checked the music and noticed a large black car parked outside then did a double take. There was a man standing by the door looking into the building.
He sensed something was wrong and immediately ran down the stairs, stopping at the top of the last flight. Justin was talking.
‘I think she’s due back in next week,’ he heard his brother say. ‘I got a message saying she was going away and couldn’t attend classes. Is there a problem, Cameron?’
The name made Kit freeze.
‘Not really,’ the well-spoken voice replied. ‘I thought someone said she was coming back earlier. I know she lost her phone. I wanted a quick chat.’
Kit immediately knew Cameron was lying but stayed still so he could listen.
‘Sorry I can’t help.’ Justin walked to the door then noticed Kit standing there. ‘Do you know when Sasha’s coming back?’
His stomach immediately lurched, knowing he had to meet the man who wanted to cause Sasha harm.
Kit ran down to the bottom of the stairs.
‘Next week,’ he said cheerfully, walking into the reception. ‘Why?’
He was the same height as Kit, slim and muscular, with dark brown hair and matching eyes. Cameron was very handsome and had a strong jaw. He was wearing jeans and a thick argyle polo neck jumper. The whole package was not what Kit expected.
The man looked good.
And suddenly he felt jealous.
‘Hello,’ Cameron said, his face lighting up when he smiled. ‘Are you the tap dance teacher?’
‘I take the class.’
‘Kit’s my baby brother,’ grinned Justin, examining Kit then looking at Cameron. ‘He’s not that bad but he’s at the right level to teach the class.’
‘I don’t know why she attends when she can tap perfectly well,’ said Cameron, scrutinising Kit. ‘She’s an accomplished tap dancer.’
‘Really?’ asked Kit, trying to look surprised. ‘It doesn’t come across in the lessons.’
‘Kit,’ scowled Justin. ‘That’s not nice.’
‘Is there something we could do to help?’ Kit smiled. ‘Is she okay? Other than her dancing skills.’
‘Everything’s fine. I needed a quick chat with her about a property she’s selling. And, as Justin knows, sometimes she can go off on a tangent.’
‘She’s fine,’ said Justin gently. ‘I think she looks great, to be honest. Seems happy enough when I see her. Why don’t you ask her mother where-.’
‘No, I don’t think so,’ Cameron replied sharply, the smile stiffening. ‘She’ll just worry that she’s done something.’
‘Like what?’ Kit innocently asked.
‘Sasha has a few emotional problems but I don’t think it’s right to discuss it,’ he said quietly. ‘Sorry to bother you guys. If you hear from her, tell her to ring me.’ Kit noticed he was checking him out and realised Justin had cottoned on. ‘I thought Sasha said you ran a bar? How come you’re taking these lessons?’
‘I used to dance and then thought it was something my daughter and I could do together,’ he quickly replied. ‘If we hear from her we’ll get her to give you a bell.’
‘Good,’ Cameron replied and half smiled. ‘Nice to meet you.’
He then turned and walked out.
Kit stared at the door before realising his brother was glaring at him.
‘What are you up to?’ hissed Justin, stepping closer.
‘What do you mean?’
‘Kit, are you up to something that involves Sasha? The look on your face when you were talking to him. And did you see the way he looked at you?’
‘She doesn’t like Cameron,’ whispered Kit, looking up at Justin. ‘That’s all I’m going to say.’
‘Who taught you this?’
… asked Glenda when he put them through the routine Sasha had created. ‘It’s not like your usual dances.’
‘A friend,’ he replied and noticed the three older women were looking at him. ‘They thought it might be fun to learn.’
‘And Kit, may I say, your arse is wiggling more than usual,’ said Vanessa, starting to laugh.
‘Bloody hell! Can’t you leave him alone?’ sighed Stuart, shaking his head.
‘I think it’s brilliant!’ said Alexandra excitedly. ‘We need to liven this place up.’
They did the routine then he put the music on. He was startled to see the three elderly women picked it up easily. Vanessa was beaming happily while Estella and Glenda kept smiling at each other. A few times Estella was just looking at him, deep in thought.
Towards the end of the lesson, all the class seemed in high spirits. When he turned the music off and called it to an end, there was a massive groan.
‘You’ve certainly improved since the weekend,’ gushed Alexandra, her cheeks flushed. She then whispered. ‘I’m seeing Gillian this evening. You’ve been spending a lot of time with her, I take it.’
‘Not like that,’ he said, catching his breath. ‘We know each other.’
‘How?’
‘Comes into my pub from time to time,’ replied Kit quickly. ‘And everything’s going alright?’
‘It’s going better than you could imagine,’ she said brightly.
‘Do you know when Sasha’s coming back?’ he asked loudly, wanting to see if they knew anything. ‘Someone came this morning asking where she was. I told him she was due back next week.’
‘Who was asking?’ Glenda stopped changing her shoes and stood upright. ‘Anyone we know?’
‘I’ve never met him before,’ shrugged Kit. ‘Her boyfriend, I think.’
‘She doesn’t have a boyfriend that we know of,’ Vanessa replied, grimacing. ‘Who was it?’
‘Cameron,’ he said, watching the alarm on the faces of Vanessa and Glenda. ‘Did I say something wrong?’
‘No, it’s fine,’ Glenda said, hurriedly putting her shoes on. ‘He never comes here.’
‘Wanted to talk to her about selling her home or something,’ Kit said, trying to act as if it was of no interest to him. ‘She is coming back next week, isn’t she?’
‘That’s what I heard.’
‘Justin told him to call her mother if he was worried.’
‘What did he say?’ asked Estella, walking towards the other two ladies. ‘Is he going to ring?’
‘He didn’t seem too keen.’
‘Are you coming for a coffee?’ asked Stuart, ignoring the three women. ‘I fancy a nice Macchiato.’
‘I need to head back to work,’ replied Kit, noticing Estella’s frown. ‘Are you okay?’
‘Fine,’ she said, shaking her shoulders and walking toward her bag.
Everyone left but Estella was texting on her phone. Kit waited for her to leave so he could tidy up be
fore the next class in half an hour.
‘Are you sure you don’t want to come for coffee?’ she asked, looking a little flushed as she put her phone away. ‘You seem focussed on the tap.’
‘I’m getting back into the swing of things,’ Kit smiled, thinking about sex with Sasha because of the tune. ‘It’s getting better.’
‘This morning with Cameron, did he say anything to you about Sasha?’ she asked. He could see she was bothered. ‘It’s not for me to say but I don’t think he’s the most patient of men.’
‘Do you know much about him?’ he asked, closing the windows and turning off the lights. ‘He seemed like a nice guy.’
That was it.
The look Estella shot him told a completely different story.
‘Sasha will go mad if she finds out he came here. I know she has allotted freedom time.’
‘‘Freedom time’?’
‘Yes, when she can get away from him prying on everything she does and with whom.’ Estella then checked herself and smiled. ‘But that’s just what she told us and maybe it’s not like that behind closed doors.’
‘Probably not.’
‘I expect it’s a lot worse but she won’t say.’
Estella then rushed off down the stairs and out of the building, leaving Kit thinking about Cameron and what was really going on with him and Sasha.
‘Gillian!’
… Kit said, when he saw Captain walk into the bar made up as his alter ego. ‘What are you doing here?’
Immediately he looked around to see if anyone spotted the badly made up transvestite.
‘Would you like a drink?’
‘We need to talk,’ he said, his voice very low.
Kit examined his naturally made up face which couldn’t disguise his deep crow’s feet.
‘Hello there!’ Sean said, walking quickly. ‘I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Sean, Kit’s best friend and co-owner of this place.’ He put out his hand, Captain shook it. Kit noticed Sean raise his eyebrows while smiling brightly. ‘That’s some grip.’
‘Comes in handy,’ Captain replied, deadpan.
‘I recognise you,’ continued Sean, looking at Kit from the corner of his eye. ‘Have you got a brother or something?’
‘I need to have a chat with Gillian, in private,’ said Kit, knowing Sean was putting two and two together and getting it completely wrong.
‘Do you want to go upstairs?’ Sean asked, wide eyed and putting on a fake smile. ‘I can manage.’
‘Why would I want to do that?’ he asked, shaking his head from side to side.
‘I thought you might want to-.’
‘We’re not together,’ replied Captain. Kit knew he was trying to hide his smile. ‘He’s not my type.’
‘Oh, I see,’ Sean gasped. ‘He’s been in a good mood lately. I just thought-.’
‘Wrong?’ sighed Kit.
‘Well, he’s, I mean, she’s a lovely lady,’ gulped Sean, looking around, trying to hide his embarrassment. ‘It was nice to meet you.’
‘You too,’ grinned Captain and then looked at Kit. ‘Do you think it’s fate? Me and you? Your mother and now your friend.’
‘What do you need to speak to me about?’
‘Can we go into your office?’
Kit nodded and noticed Captain was scowling. He walked in front of him, tottering in his kitten heels. It was hard not to notice Captain was wiggling his arse as he walked. It was a frightening sight.
As soon as the door was shut, Captain turned around and looked down at Kit.
‘I kept telling you not to get involved with Sasha and-.’
‘We’re not-.’
‘It’s obvious you’re sleeping together,’ he said, sitting down in the chair with about as much elegance as an elephant. ‘And with Cameron turning up at the school this morning, he must know you’re involved.’
‘He was asking where she was. I didn’t give anything away.’
‘About Sasha?’
‘No.’
‘It’s written all over your face. Every time anyone mentions her name, your eyes say it all.’
‘I-.’
‘Listen to me. I’ve been digging around and Cameron knows Jeremy Wilton has something to do with it. I’m worried something bad is going to happen. It won’t take long for him to track her down and we’ll be caught in the cross-fire. Tonight I’m staying in the house.’
‘I won’t let anything happen to her,’ he said, internally panicking on how to protect Sasha. ‘And you don’t have to spend the night. It’s all locked up.’
‘What if they force themselves in?’
‘Captain, you’re scaring me and if you tell her this, she’s going to get really worried and might just run away.’ Kit took a deep breath. ‘The last thing I want is that prick to hurt her.’
‘Her mother is going spare and found out that she was hurt by Cameron. What if she thinks we’ve something to do with it? We’re as good as dead.’
‘Jeremy Wilton will tell her.’
‘How’s he going to justify getting three men to abduct her daughter? Fuck!’ Captain stood up and walked around the small office. ‘Ryan and I are staying the night whether you like it or not. How am I going to explain your little dalliance with Sasha to Jeremy Wilton? Who knows what he’ll have to say about this! He might accuse you of taking advantage.’
Kit shook his head and stared at Captain.
‘You’ve fallen in love, haven’t you?’ the older man asked, pursing his pink lipstick covered mouth. ‘If you don’t know it then everyone else does.’
‘I don’t talk about things like that,’ he replied, avoiding eye contact. ‘We said what happened at the house stayed there.’
‘So it finishes when she leaves? Are you sure?’
‘It has to finish.’
‘And that’s going to be easy for you both, is it?’
Kit couldn’t answer, knowing it was far from it.
‘That’s lovely because you’re lovely,’
… sighed Sasha. ‘So I don’t expect anything less.’
They’d spent an hour tap dancing when he got back to the house. Now he was massaging her shoulders after they stepped out of the shower.
Kit didn’t mention Cameron visiting or what Captain said. He knew he was being given time to spend with Sasha because Ryan quickly left as soon as he arrived.
The man’s expression of concern said it all.
They had another two hours together before the men would return for the late shift.
‘How did the dance go down today? You did do it, didn’t you?’
‘It went down very well,’ he said, kissing her wet neck. ‘The women loved it, actually, they probably did their best lesson to date.’
‘Anyone noticed your improvement?’
‘Vanessa mentioned my backside.’
‘And what a lovely one it is,’ she sighed, turning her head to look at him. ‘How come you got here early?’
‘I wanted to see you.’
‘I miss you when you’re not around.’ Sasha faced him, water dripping off her hair. ‘I don’t know what I’m going to do without you.’
‘Now don’t go falling in love with me,’ he laughed, trying to force out the same dread from his head. ‘That wouldn’t be a good idea.’
‘Too late.’
Sasha pursed her lips and looked at him. Kit glanced away, unable to say anything in return. He knew he couldn’t tell her he felt the same way.
‘Ryan and Captain are spending the night,’ he said, getting the small towel and drying her wet hair. ‘We can all have dinner together.’
‘That would be nice,’ Sasha gulped. He could see she was disappointed. ‘I better get changed.’
Sasha walked into the bedroom, wrapping a towel around her body. He quickly followed grabbing her arms so she’d turn.
‘You know this is complicated,’ he said as she nodded quickly. ‘It doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings for you.’
‘It’s
okay,’ she quietly replied. ‘I don’t expect anything.’
‘But you should expect more.’
‘I better-.’
Kit kissed her lips. She was avoiding eye contact and seemed upset.
‘I don’t want to let you go,’ he whispered, kissing her face. ‘Not yet.’
Sasha closed her eyes and he let his lips travel over her soft skin until he ended up near her mouth. The kiss was deep and he felt like he couldn’t breathe, bending down to scoop her up into his arms. Pulling off her towel, he pushed her back onto the bed.
The kissing was long and deep, both touching each other’s bodies. Kit stopped to look at her and wished he could stay in that position forever.
Sasha was all he ever wanted and he couldn’t contemplate letting her go.
Not just yet.
She quickly turned him around and headed between his legs, her wet hair slapping his skin.
Within seconds, her tongue licked up and down his shaft as her hand gently cradled his balls.
Kit looked down, wanting to watch. Sasha’s eyes were closed, tasting his skin with her pink tongue. The sight near enough made him want to come. Then she covered his bulbous head, sucking and squeezing with her mouth, very slowly.
Her eyes opened, the dark brown gazing at him. Even with her mouth full of him, he knew she wanted to make him happy. And he wanted to do the same for her.
Touching her shoulders, he pulled her up and turned her on her back, kissing all the way down her body. Pulling at her erect nipples and gently chewing the ends as his hand went between her legs.
She was wet and warm.
He kissed all the way down until he spread her lips, heading for the little mound he loved so much. Covering it with his mouth, he flicked it with his tongue, hearing her gasp then he pushed his tongue into her hole, tasting her juices and eating as much of her as he could.
His finger was now rubbing her off in slow circular strokes until she came in his mouth and her thighs gently squeezed either side of his head.
Within seconds he’d pushed inside her, balancing on his hands and looked down at his own cock going in and out. The dark hair covering her pubic bone was glistening. Kit’s eyes remained focused then he looked at her, watching him, while her breasts vibrated to his hips.
