“Jaspal, have a look, who is at the door.”

Jaspal listened to his music via his headphones; he did not notice the bell or his mother calling him.

The bell rang again, the mother noticed that Jaspal was not going to come. She went to open the door herself. When she opened the door, what she saw was out of this world for her. It was Simar with her bag on her shoulders. The mother was shocked and speechless. If anything was speaking, it was her eyes which flooded with tears. Simar ran to her hugged her as tightly as she could. She could not stop herself from crying as well.

Simar did not release her until Jaspal came. His eyes filled with tears as well. She hugged him tightly too. Mother joined them in a nice family hug.

Simar said, “What are you cooking mom, I am very hungry.” They all laughed and walked to the kitchen.

“You better eat properly because after that you have so many questions to answer,” Jaspal said.

The mother said, “Don’t tease my daughter, let her eat.”

“Well bro, you need to tell me how your dentist madam is, and when you are getting married?”

Jaspal just blushed and did not say anything.

In the basement of the tuition center, Ana and Sid watched this family reunion on their screen. Ana hugged Sid and they cleared the tears from each other’s eyes.

After a couple of weeks, a ceremony was organized by the government to acknowledge the people who contributed to getting the capital back. Sinha and Zahid got bravery awards. Ana and Sid not only received bravery awards but also received special appreciation by the President and the Prime Minister.

Simar watched this ceremony on the television. Jaspal came to her and gave an envelope to her, which a postman had just dropped. Simar opened it.

“Wow mom, do you remember my friend in England, Kara?”

  “Kara Martin?”

“Yes, she is getting married. This is her wedding invitation.”

“You should go Simar; it will be a nice outing for you. It will be good to visit England again.”

“Yes, I will go. But it’s not in England. Her would-be husband is American, and they have chosen Cuba for the wedding ceremony.”

“Cuba is a nice place, but how will you go? You cannot use your passport. To this world you are dead. Why don’t you tell this world you are alive, and you were in a coma or something else?”

“Please mom, don’t want to talk about this. As far as the passport is concerned, Sid will make a new one with a new name.”
