“Should I come in, Remy?” he asked.
She nodded her head, trying to remember everything about this moment, because she knew she would want to remember it for the rest of her life.
“You sure?” He gave her a sideways smile as he tilted his head to the side in mock shyness, deliciously teasing her.
She ran to him, pulled him inside and slammed the door behind them.
Their clothes began flying to the sides. They got in each other’s way, tugging and pulling off her jeans, their shirts, her bra, peeling down his jeans and boxers. She had to help him with his cowboy boots and the jeans his stars and stripes boxers stuck around his ankles. They were both laughing while getting him untangled.
At last, breathless, she was against his fully naked form, her palms smoothing over the hard chest she’d been dreaming about for weeks. She felt kisses under her ear, under her chin, as he laced his fingers through her hair, brought his thumbs against her lips, looked down on them and kissed her deeply.
She fell into his body, melting against him, reveling in the scent of his manhood, the feel of his perfectly developed warrior’s body against her own.
It wasn’t chemistry. His tender kisses told her of his need and her body responded. Like a dream, all the familiar sounds, the feel of his lips on her chest, his hands travelling down to grab her butt cheeks, pulling her flesh into him. She hiked her thighs up around his hips, wrapping her legs behind him. She clung to him as he crawled over the bed, laying her down against the sheets. Pressing against her, she urgently needed him inside her, but he stopped her hands.
“Remy, I was going to say this before I walked inside, and,” he chuckled and then gave her nipple a kiss, “I forgot.”
She wondered what he possibly could say. “What are you talking about, Derek? You’re here. This is where I want you to be.”
“I know that, sweetheart. But I want to just say something before—”
She was impatient, but knew it was important to him. “Tell me.” She arched her neck and rose to touch his lips with hers. “But tell me quick, please?”
He smiled again as her head hit the pillow. “Okay, so here it is. I’ve done a lot of thinking, Remy. I’ve been a fool, stupid, all kinds of everything I shouldn’t be. But mostly I’ve been thinking about myself. Feeling sorry for myself.”
“I totally understand, Derek. I’ve been the same way. Needing to run away. I ran away from the only thing that ever made any sense in my life, the only thing that was pure magic. I almost threw it all away. Never again.”
“No. Never again,” he repeated. His thumbs pressed against her lips as she opened them. He suddenly rolled off her and to the side.
“What’s wrong?”
He was slouched over his feet. Was he crying? What had happened?
“Derek, you’re scaring me. Tell me what’s going on.”
“Just a minute.”
He was fiddling with something. When she sat up and came to kneeling position, looking over his shoulder, she saw he was fiddling with his pants.
“Derek, sweetheart, I don’t need you to wear a condom. I’m on the pill.”
“Really?” He said as he arched up, and threw her back against the bed, pinning her with his torso, his thighs under hers, holding her arms above her head with one hand. With his other hand he brought out a ring and showed it to her.
She wiggled to get loose to look at it but he shook his head and kept her restrained.
“Not until you give me your answer. See, I had it all planned out. I got a job today. A job I think I’m gonna like. There’s this crazy former SEAL who believes in me almost as much as you do, which is kinda dangerous, if you met this guy.”
Remy was totally confused.
“He’s gonna make it so I can stay here. Stay here with you and become a chef, like you.”
“A pastry chef?”
“Yes, ma’am. A pastry chef.”
She was waiting. There had to be something more.
“So I decided I’d do this with you. I’d do everything with you. No more going away on long deployments. It’s just me and you.”
“You want my answer?”
“Yes, honey,” he said as he let loose of her wrists.
She flung her arms around him, wrapping her legs around his waist.
“Baby,” he whispered to her ear as she felt him moving into position. “You wanted time. Well, sweetheart, I’m going to give you all the time you need. You can have every day and every one of my nights. All of my time.”
She traced the outline of his lips with her forefinger.
“That’s what I was going to ask you if you wanted. If this was going to be enough for you, Remy.”
She drew his hand up, still holding the little ring.
“Yes, Derek. You were always the only thing I wanted. I’ll take all your time, I promise. And I’ll give you every minute of mine in exchange.”
He slipped the ring on her finger. She squinted as the ring wouldn’t fit and only went as far as the first knuckle.
“Sorry. Sweetheart,” she said, embarrassed. “This is what you get, I think, when you marry a pastry chef. Or at least a pastry chef in training.”
He chuckled. Removing the ring, he set it on the night table. “Honey, now you’re talkin’ my language. I know a lot about training and I think you’re just the recruit I’ve been looking for.” He kissed her, beginning the long trail she loved, from her neck, across both breasts, exploring her nipples, to her belly button. “I’d like to design a training program for you that gets you hot and worked up every morning and every night. It’s required,” he said as he hinted he’d be going lower.
She arched up to receive his kisses. “God, Derek, don’t tease me like this. I already said yes.”
“I’d like to make it so every cell in your body screams for me, creates all that muscle memory so you get to think about it when I’m not around.”
She opened her eyes and peered back at him. “Not around?”
“As in, I have to go to the store, go to classes, get gas for the car, you know, that kind of not being around.” His sexy smile, looking up at her from her belly, was driving her into oblivion. She already had all the muscle memory, and knew what it would feel like to be his woman again.
“I can’t wait to see what you and I could do with a couple of spatulas and some chocolate filling, perhaps some tasty strawberry preserves.”
“Heaven help me, Derek. I’ve waited so long for this. Please!”
“I think we’re gonna cook nice and slow, simmer a bit, take our time, because honey, that’s all we got. We got time. And we got love.”
There wasn’t any training in the world she needed for this. The meal was served and she was going to enjoy every minute of it. “I’m all yours, Derek. You’ll have all my love. Always.”

About the Author
Sharon Hamilton
NYT and USA Today best-selling author Sharon Hamilton’s award-winning Navy SEAL Brotherhood series have been a fan favorite from the day the first one was released. They’ve earned her the coveted Amazon author ranking of #1 in Romantic Suspense, Military Romance and Contemporary Romance categories, as well as in Gothic Romance for her Vampires of Tuscany and Guardian Angels. Her characters follow a sometimes rocky road to redemption through passion and true love.
Her Golden Vampires of Tuscany are not like any vamps you’ve read about before, since they don’t go to ground and can walk around in the full light of the sun.
Her Guardian Angels struggle with the human charges they are sent to save, often escaping their vanilla world of Heaven for the brief human one. You won’t find any of these beings in any Sunday school class.
She lives in Sonoma County, California with her husband and two Dobermans. A lifelong organic gardener, when she’s not writing, she’s getting verra verra dirty in the mud, or wandering Farmers Markets looking for new Heirloom varieties of vegetables and flowers.

Reviews
PRAISE FOR THE
SEAL BROTHERHOOD SERIES
“Fans of Navy SEAL romance, I found a new author to feed your addiction. Finely written and loaded delicious with moments, Sharon Hamilton’s storytelling satisfies like a thick bar of chocolate.” —Marliss Melton, bestselling author of the Team Twelve Navy SEALs series
“Sharon Hamilton does an EXCELLENT job of fitting all the characters into a brotherhood of SEALS that may not be real but sure makes you feel that you have entered the circle and security of their world. The stories intertwine with each book before…and each book after and THAT is what makes Sharon Hamilton’s SEAL Brotherhood Series so very interesting. You won’t want to put down ANY of her books and they will keep you reading into the night when you should be sleeping. Start with this book…and you will not want to stop until you’ve read the whole series and then…you will be waiting for Sharon to write the next one.” (5 Star Review)
“Kyle and Christy explode all over the pages in this first book, [Accidental SEAL], in a whole new series of SEALs. If the twist and turns don’t get your heart jumping, then maybe the suspense will. This is a must read for those that are looking for love and adventure with a little sloppy love thrown in for good measure.” (5 Star Review)
PRAISE FOR THE
BAD BOYS OF SEAL TEAM 3 SERIES
“I love reading this series! Once you start these books, you can hardly put them down. The mix of romance and suspense keeps you turning the pages one right after another! Can’t wait until the next book!” (5 Star Review)
“I love all of Sharon’s Seal books, but [SEAL’s Code] may just be her best to date. Danny and Luci’s journey is filled with a wonderful insight into the Native American life. It is a love story that will fill you with warmth and contentment. You will enjoy Danny’s journey to become a SEAL and his reasons for it. Good job Sharon!” (5 Star Review)
PRAISE FOR THE
BAND OF BACHELORS SERIES
“[Lucas] was the first book in the Band of Bachelors series and it was a phenomenal start. I loved how we got to see the other SEALs we all love and we got a look at Lucas and Marcy. They had an instant attraction, and their love was very intense. This book had it all, suspense, steamy romance, humor, everything you want in a riveting, outstanding read. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.” (5 Star Review)
PRAISE FOR THE
TRUE BLUE SEALS SERIES
“Keep the tissues box nearby as you read True Blue SEALs: Zak by Sharon Hamilton. I imagine more than I wish to that the circumstances surrounding Zak and Amy are all too real for returning military personnel and their families. Ms. Hamilton has put us right in the middle of struggles and successes that these two high school sweethearts endure. I have read several of Sharon Hamilton’s military romances but will say this is the most emotionally intense of the ones that I have read. This is a well-written, realistic story with authentic characters that will have you rooting for them and proud of those who serve to keep us safe. This is an author who writes amazing stories that you love and cry with the characters. Fans of Jessica Scott and Marliss Melton will want to add Sharon Hamilton to their list of realistic military romance writers.” (5 Star Review)
