“I was just saying that we could do a really cozy sort of shabby-chic thing in your place. Like we could put a crystal chandelier in the dining room but leave the reclaimed wood table and refinish the chairs so the paint looks dated and worn.”
“Sounds adorable,” he called out. “And you wanted to replace the refrigerator?”
I did, I’d been thinking about it. I wanted to put a cute pastel blue Smeg in there, but that wasn’t the point. “Yeah,” I said, chuckling.
“What’s funny?” he asked, emerging from the closet in pajama bottoms and a T-shirt.
“It’s just nice that we’re talking and making plans like we’ve always done, and at the same time you are frantically squirreling crap away like you’re worried I’m gonna change my mind.”
He squinted and shook his head like I was nuts.
“Oh no?”
“No. You’re not gonna change your mind.”
“I won’t?”
“Uh-uh,” he said, walking over to the bed and standing over me.
“And why’s that?”
“The mousse, stupid,” he explained, climbing into my lap, straddling my thighs and shoving his firm, round ass over my groin. “We’re supposed to be together.”
“Because of a dessert,” I said as I put my hands on his hips and shucked him forward.
“Yes,” he breathed before he kissed me languorously. “And Granny B and that glorious cookbook.”
I was going to tell him it was crap, that there was a logical explanation for all of it and that he shouldn’t put such faith in magic or anything else but me finally pulling my head out of my ass. But he kept kissing me decadently, dragging his tongue over mine as he pressed down against my thickening cock, squirming until I couldn’t think of what it was I wanted to say.
I tumbled him over onto the bed and pinned him there, yanking off my sleep shorts as he wiggled out of his pajamas.
“Not”—I huffed out—“magic.”
He got his hand on my shaft and stroked me fast to a hard, leaking erection, his motion relentless until I shoved him off me, afraid I’d come on him instead of inside him.
“You and me,” he panted, passing me the lube he’d brought from his place, rolling to his stomach, lifting to his hands and knees, “are magic.”
I groaned and he laughed at me. “That’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Yes, well, so what,” he snickered. “You make me a big romantic sap. I love you and your ridiculous bone structure and your great big heart.”
“I love you back,” I ground out, popping open the cap on the lube and quickly slathering my cock.
“Show me,” he demanded, all playfulness gone, only sex now, only lust and wanting.
Taking hold of his hips, I pressed forward at his cleft, opening him slowly, inch by inch, not once stopping but moving with exquisite tenderness.
He shivered beneath me, in my hands, gasping when my chest met his back, hot slick skin sliding over the same, releasing a cry when I was fully seated inside.
I laced my fingers into his, and together we fisted the sheets as I began to move, easing out, sliding back in, the motion seamless, fluid. When he turned his head, I didn’t ravage his mouth, but instead made each kiss devouring, feasting on him, his lips, his tongue.
We moved together, him wanting me deeper, meeting each driving thrust as I increased my tempo, and me wanting him claimed so he’d never wander far from me, from home.
“Oh my God, I’m so yours,” he cried as my movements grew frenzied, relentless, needing to come. “Boone!”
His muscles clamped down on my cock as he climaxed, spurting over the sheets, shuddering in my arms as I leaned back, taking him with me, his head resting on my shoulder.
“Don’t let me go.”
I had no intention of ever doing that.
Pistoning up into his body, one arm across his chest, the other around his abdomen, I held him still as I came, filling him up, taking his mouth again in a mauling, ravenous kiss.
When we finally had to breathe, we sank to the bed, me still buried inside him as we spooned together.
“I should move,” I said without a drop of intention, my face in his hair.
“No,” he mumbled. “This is where you belong… with me… in me… just here.”
“You’re so screwed,” I teased, placing soft, tender kisses on the back of his neck.
“I know. I totally was.”
I groaned.
He chuckled as I slipped free of his body, but I didn’t loosen the hold I had on him. I let my flaccid dick settle in the crease of his ass.
“I mean,” I chastised, “you’re stuck with me now.”
“Oh yes, please. Forever.”
It was a long time, and I was so ready to give it to him, my forever and always and anything else, any other promise he wanted.
“Let me have you,” he urged.
“Done. Yours.”
His sigh was long and content. “Good. Me too. All yours.”
I held him tighter.
“Oh yes, keep doing that.”
He didn’t have to tell me twice.
