Lee smiled from his seat and moved to cover himself some. “Will you be by my side? I won’t have to go out into the great big universe alone, will I?” he asked.
“Of course not. I’m here. I’ll always be here for you, Lee.” Zana said.
“Then I’ll be wearing a smile at the very least,” Lee replied. “That ought to count for something, right?”
“It does for me,” Zana said as she turned back, uniform in her hands, a smile on her face. It was amazing how much she loved her work.
