Colin is a successful attorney with a different woman every week, but what he really wants is the one woman he can’t have. All he has wanted since that fateful day in the swimming pool six years ago is to be her hero, but there was always a reason holding him back. Will this finally be his chance to prove to her that he can be the man she needs? If he has to read every damn book in the bookstore, he’s going to fight this time for that right.
Hers to Crave
The text just said to do something crazy. I don’t think that included having sex with a complete stranger only half an hour after meeting him. I am a complete idiot! Not only did I have sex with a random guy, he wasn’t a stranger. He’s a world renowned soccer player that I should have recognized the instant I saw him. The problem is, he’s amazing. He’s sexy, athletic, funny and that accent. Holy cow! I should leave him alone, but how can I not crave him with every bone of my being?

Claire Lloyd is the most amazing woman I’ve ever met. I don’t believe in love at first sight. Well, I didn’t until I saw Claire walking across campus. I really should be ashamed of what I did. I introduced myself as Alex, not the famous Xander Ross she might have recognized. I thought maybe if I had her once, I’d be able to let her go. But it’s Claire. No man in his right mind could let her go, now I just have to convince her we’re worth the effort.
Acknowledgments
As always, nothing is possible in life without help along the way. I have been lucky over the course of this series to be the recipient of some really amazing help.
The team at My Brother’s Editor has been a huge part of my success from the beginning. They have managed to take all of my west Texas dialect and put it into a form the rest of the world might understand. Apparently, it’s not enough that I speak with an accent people struggle with, I also have to write with one.
I think the funnest part of putting a book together is hashing out the cover design with the designer. I make a suggestion, Rachel sends back an eye roll emoji. It works for us. Her covers never fail to deliver and I can’t wait to hash out the next one. Maybe over a martini…or three.
The hunt for the perfect photo of Teddy and Sophia was a long one. Thanks to Lyndee Robinson Photography, I found them in the form of Chris and Mary.
My family, Thomas, Wilson, Madison, Rachel, and Conor keep me going even when I question my sanity in thinking I can be an author. They listen to story ideas, answer questions, offer up character names and continually tell me I’m doing good. Love them so much!
Finally, this would all mean nothing if it wasn’t for the ARC readers, bloggers, reviewers and readers. Thank you so much on taking a chance on a new series by a new author. Keep reading!

Preface
Thayer woke with a gasp to an almost stifling smell. Through the fog in her head, she knew she was no longer in her bed nestled among the flannel sheets infused with lavender fabric softener she had just put on in preparation for the chilly fall nights.
No, this was definitely not her bedroom. Wherever she was, smelled of spoiled food, motor oil, wet dogs, and male body odor. With a moan, she tried to sit up. It was no use. Between whatever held her hands secured firmly behind her back and the nausea, she had to admit defeat after a few minutes.
Settling back on her side, she took slow, steady breaths to keep the nausea at bay. There was a piece of cloth shoved in her mouth that she couldn't push out with her tongue, no matter how hard she tried. It was obviously held in place with something, and the last thing she wanted to do was drown in her own vomit.
She fought to tap down the growing panic racing through her. How had she wound up here? Even more importantly, where was here?
When the nausea had settled, she slowly took an assessment of what she knew. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in her empty dorm room. Her roommate had left for the weekend allowing for some much needed privacy.
Vaguely, she remembered something waking her before she quickly fell back asleep. No, she hadn't fallen asleep, something had knocked her out. The same thing that now had her head pounding in pain.
Trying one more time to push the foul tasting cloth out of her mouth, she admitted defeat when it didn't budge. Trying to open her eyes, she realized that not only was her mouth gagged, but she was also blindfolded.
She felt a small glimmer of hope. Hadn't she read somewhere that if they didn't want you to see them, you had a better chance of being let go? Or was that just some Hollywood hype to sell tickets to the latest blockbuster? No, she would choose to hold on to even the smallest hint of hope.
