Captain Snow continued to bark at Alec. That was when Ruby saw him. She gasped.
“How did you get out?” she asked.
Alec chuckled. “The same way you did.”
Ruby bit her lip, and moved to get up, but found herself tied to the bed post. A bolt of fear passed through her momentarily.
“Alec!” she said, her voice quivering. “What are you doing?”
“You tricked me, my sweet,” Alec said.
“So?” Ruby muttered, trying to free her wrist.
Alec picked the dog up and carried him to the door.
“Where are you taking him?”
“Out.”
Ruby watched him disappear from sight, and continued to try and free her wrist. The harder she tried, the tighter it seemed to get. Her heart continued to pound in her chest, and when Alec reappeared at the door, her stomach flipped.
“Alec! Free me this instant; do you hear me?”
Alec ignored her outrageous demand, a grin on his face. God, he was going to love this. In fact, he would love every moment of their lives together.
He sat beside her and pulled the blanket back.
“It appears your trick didn’t work, my sweet,” he said.
“What do you mean?” Ruby asked breathlessly, looking into his eyes, which were dark with desire.
“It is you who fell into my trap, little sweet, for you are now in my bed.”
Ruby bit her lip. “Stupid lout,” she muttered. She just couldn’t believe he was so smart. She thought she tricked him, but apparently, he expected it.
Alec wrapped his large hands about her small waist and lifted her up so that she could sit on his lap.
“Now then, where were we?”
“What are you going to do to me?”
“Make love to you, my sweet, whether you like it or not,” he replied.
“I refuse to be made love to,” she retorted.
“Oh, that’s no problem at all,” he said, slipping one hand to cup her breast. Ruby bit her lip. He moved her even closer so that she straddled him. She could feel his pride and joy growing hard and fully erect, against her. She instantly become aroused and groaned.
“Ah. There. See?” He chuckled.
Ruby punched her small fist on his wall of chest. “Stupid lout,” she said. “Stupid, hot—”
Before Ruby could say the word “lout,” Alec claimed her lips, slipping his tongue inside her mouth and, at the same time, slipping his hand under her panties, and caressing her.
Ruby groaned, losing the battle, and allowed him to make love to her.
