  Greg laughs again. I’m thinking about smacking that smirk off his face when he says, “Cartwright Farm is about five miles from here.”

  “Sounds like I should meet our neighbors sometime.” I turn to leave again, eager to change from my work clothes and grab a quick shower.

  “Pedro called, says he has work for us. You interested?” Greg calls after me.
