Soto bowed his head and withdrew his hand.
Willow wiped away her tears with the back of her hand. “Thank you. That was the most amazing feeling I have ever experienced.”
“It would be more accurate to call it an ‘inperience’,” Soto informed her. “An experience is what you have externally with the physical world around you. What you just felt came from the depths of your being.” Soto could see that Willow was confused. “Ahh. You thought that I gave you that feeling. The truth, Willow, is that I have merely shown you what is already inside you – and all of humanity.”
Willow was dumbfounded. Seriously? That feeling was inside her? How was that even possible? She’d never, ever felt anything like it. She likened it to coming home after a really long absence – but so much more. “How can I feel that again?” she asked.
“That is the journey of every Being. You do not need to search the galaxies to find it. You have glimpsed the truth within; go deeper still, and you will recognise the unfathomable truth there. Remember, Willow: you are so much more than you think.” Soto stepped back towards the crystal stand. “It is time for your journey to continue.”
He was leaving already? Wasn’t he going to impart more words of wisdom to her? Or give her some rules and laws about the Quest, after waiting for thousands of years? Willow felt a little rush of panic. “Will I ever see you again, Soto?”
Soto smiled. “Only in the unfolding can that answer be revealed.”
A vortex quickly whipped itself up again, completely encircling Soto. He gave her a knowing look. “Journey well, Willow.”
“Thank you. Goodbye …” She watched as Soto and the vortex floated up above the crystal stand and disappeared.
When he and the faint scent of sandalwood had completely gone, Willow stood in front of the Book, gazing at its cover. It almost looked ordinary in comparison with the TriGamon. No symbols, no title – nothing, except for the soft shimmer of colours passing across its silver surface. This book had been hidden for thousands of years and she was now its custodian. Who knew what she would find inside?
A hand imprint surfaced on the cover. Willow positioned her hand over the symbol and the Book turned from silver to gold. The word “Kryon” appeared on the cover when she lifted her hand away. Images of unfamiliar symbols and star systems emerged and rotated from the front cover to the back cover. This was not such an ordinary looking book after all!
Willow opened the front cover. Inside was an illustration of Earth and its solar system, but it was the page itself that was incredible. It looked like thick cellophane and the images seemed almost real, as if you could put your hand inside and reach for a planet and pull it out from the page. When she leaned in even closer, Willow realised that the whole solar system was actually moving. Could this be a real-time image?
She turned to the next page. There were more symbols that she didn’t recognise, but there were also two very real-looking maps of land masses that seemed to be from Earth. She tried to look at the following page, but like the TriGamon, it didn’t reveal anything further. Maybe she had to figure out the land masses and symbols first? Willow closed the book and lifted it from the stand. The Kryon instantly changed back to its silver cover, the hand symbol vanished, and a silver binding surfaced around the entire book. “Wow.” She took in a deep breath and hugged the Book to her chest.
Willow turned to face the stone wall which had also magically changed to a silver force field again.
She took in another big breath and stepped through with the Kryon.
“Willow! You found it!” Hugo cried.
“Yay!” Jessie squealed. “What happened in there?”
Willow shook her head. “I met one of the Ancients – Soto. And he gave me the Kryon.”
“You did very well,” Avari told her. “I acknowledge the expansion of your Being at this time.” With that, Avari tapped three of her fingers against her forehead before stepping forward to place her forehead gently on to Willow’s.
Willow felt a warmth radiating from her, and a deep connection took place between them. When they separated, she gazed respectfully in to Avari’s eyes.
She turned and looked at her friends. “I couldn’t have found this Book without you guys. Thanks for all your help and for putting up with all my questions and doubts. We all did this. We found the Kryon together.”
“Yay team!” Jessie said. “Willow, I bet you never thought your world could change so much in just a few short months.”
“You can say that again!”
So much had already happened, and yet her Quest had only just begun. There were hidden pieces of a powerful sceptre to be found in order to stop the Vraag and rebalance the forces of darkness. There was information within the Kryon that could help the people of her world evolve, along with bringing great change to the way humans dream. Willow didn’t know where the Kryon would take her, or how exactly this Book would affect humanity’s future, but as Soto had reminded her, there was only this moment. Right now she was beneath Mondria in a secret chamber that had been hidden for thousands of years. And right now she had to safely get her friends and the Book to the Halls of Mondria. Who knew if Maliceius could detect the Kryon now that it had been found? Willow wasn’t going to take any chances. She was going to wait for the wisdom and intelligence inside of her to reveal her next move. This, she now knew, she could trust with every fibre of her Being.
The Kryon had been created for the people of Earth and it was time for it to go home. Willow’s understanding of this new world and the Prophecy were limited, but she knew one thing – and that was that the Quest would continue to unfold in its own moment in time.
