Dazzled by Silver Page 15

“I did. Why didn’t you talk to me, Sam? He could have hurt you. Or killed you.”

“I’m sorry. I thought I could fix everything for Kendra and for you.”

“Don’t you know Kendra has a way of persuading people to do what she wants?” As serious as Gabe wanted to sound, a hint of amusement filled his voice.

  “Did you yell at her?”

“Yes.” Gabe stepped forward and crouched in front of my chair. He took my hands into his.

“Did you punish her?” I asked.

“Clara threatened to come to the US with her and move in.”

  “Oh.”

“Kendra had a few pills stashed away in Tristan’s room. The cleansing Clara had done went to waste. Her addiction will take time to control. Even if she’s not high, she needs it more than she needs her friends. The money you went to withdraw would have bought more drugs from a local who deals with Martinez. That’s how he found us here.”

“It wasn’t to pay him off?” I asked.

He shook his head. “I wish I had known sooner. I’m sorry.”

Wasn’t it supposed to be me apologizing? Where did he find so much compassion? “What’s going to happen?” I asked.

“Tristan’s working on it. Until Martinez is gone, you cannot leave the house without me knowing.” Gabe’s brows rose as he examined my face.

The way he spoke reminded me of when my parents said they were disappointed in me. I sat silently, letting the guilt eat my heart. Yet somehow, somewhere, between the frowns, I’d felt like Gabe understood why I’d done it. He wasn’t happy about it, but he understood.

Gabe wrapped his arms around me and lowered his head to my lap.

I brushed my fingers through his hair, gently massaging his scalp. “I’m sorry I let you down.” A sniffle escaped my nose.

“Hey, don’t cry. I can’t stand it when a woman cries.” Gabe wiped the tears away with his finger.

“You’re so caring and loving, and you don’t get angry.”

“Oh, I get angry all right. I deal with anger every day. I can’t and won’t let anyone hurt you ever again.”

I stared deep into his eyes and felt my mouth open. The way he spoke implied a long term commitment. How long would our fling last? Was it still a fling?

He pushed my chin up. “You know what your mouth does to me.”

“I do.” I opened it again and then smiled faintly. I took his face between my palms and pressed my lips to his. “Forgive me,” I whispered against them.

Gabe stood up, pulling me along with him. “I already have. You were too innocent to see Kendra’s scheme.” He kissed me again. The longing of his mouth deepened the kiss with each second.

  Innocent?

Biting my lip, I tugged at the hem of Gabe’s shirt and pulled it over his head. I looped the string on his shorts around my finger and yanked it loose. The fabric fell to the floor, unveiling his hardening shaft.

He kissed my nose and cheeks, and then returned to my lips.

I curved my palm around his cock. His gentle flex made my mouth water as his warm flesh extended in my hand.

Gabe worked his lips against mine, and his tongue joined the delight.

My hand began stretching his skin up and down. A soft moan escaped Gabe’s mouth. His cock felt warmer and harder with each stroke. My breathing deepened until I pulled away, locking my gaze with his.

His silver eyes were fiery orbs, sparkling with lust. With his mouth inches away from mine, his lips gently traced the rim of my mouth.

His manhood stood tall, and I touched the wet tip of his erection with my thumb. The smell of his pre-cum made me tingle as I drew my finger over his cap once more.

Slowly, I sat back on the seat while Gabe remained standing, his red cap reaching up. My hand wrapped around his full length, and I stroked him slowly down then back up. The thick vein running from the base to the tip pulsed wider. The ocean moved the boat up and down, and I mimicked the rhythm of the waves. It felt so good to have Gabe trust me to touch him and caress him. At the moment, all I wanted was to show him the kind of pleasure he deserved.

With the next swell of the waves, I licked my lips and placed my mouth on his cap. I circled my tongue just under the ridge

Gabe flexed his buttocks, releasing a soft moan and I took him inside as far as I could.

“Oh God.” Gabe’s whisper echoed across the ocean.

The momentum of the rocking boat measured my merciless sucks. My swallows increased, and I tensed my lips around his cock, massaging it on the way up and down, tightening my mouth around him.

Gabe’s hands found the top of my head, scraping my scalp gently with his fingers, holding onto my hair as if to keep his wide stance steady. His perfect taste aroused me. I moistened between my legs.

I took his balls into my palm, gently pressing them up and forward, feeling their skin contract. Each additional push hit the back of my throat until I could not take him in any further. I wanted to gag, but held on. Saliva leaked down my chin.

The speed of Gabe’s thrusts increased. He was no longer able to go as deep at such a high tempo.

His knees softened and warm seed filled my mouth. The thick cream dripped down my throat. I swallowed to the last drop. It was much sweeter and less salty than I thought it would be and, for the first time in my life, I didn’t feel the need to spit. Gabe had the perfect blend for my taste buds.

“I knew that mouth of yours would get you into trouble, Samantha.”

“If you call this trouble, then I should make sure I open it more often.”

  CHAPTER 17

When we returned home, Gabe berated Kendra but said nothing to me. “If you care about Sam, you’ll leave her out of your plots, Kendra. All you’ve done is make a bad situation worse! Martinez knows we’re on the island, and he won’t stop looking for us.”

Chills ran up and down my arms each time Gabe said his name. The vulgar man’s gaze had frozen every bone in my body then crumbled it into dust. The stench of cigar when he had clamped his yellow fingers around my mouth had left a bitter taste on my lips. I had brushed my teeth four times since returning home.

“How did you find me?” I asked him later, up in his bedroom.

  “Your charms, Sam.”

I looked at the bracelet Gabe had given me. The diamonds sparkled as I turned my wrist, letting the light from the lamp filter through.

“They each have a tracking device.”

I kept my gaze on the glistening diamond ornaments. “Why would you need to track me?” I frowned, not liking the fact Gabe would know where I was all the time. Was that overboard possessive? Still, I couldn’t have been happier he had helped me escape Martinez’s claws.

“For the exact reason I had to today. When you deal with scum, you can never be too careful. I made the mistake of getting too comfortable once. I won’t make it again.” Gabe buttoned his white shirt.

For the first time, I noticed he was getting dressed in fancy clothes. A suit had been hung on the door when we’d returned.

“Going somewhere?” I examined the perfect muscles on Gabe’s thighs and widened my eyes at how discretely the bottom of his shirt covered the delicious curve I had feasted on this afternoon. He wore black socks and, even half-dressed, he was the sexiest man alive. Although I preferred him barefoot, the socks added extra spice to his look.

“Yes.” A spark flashed in Gabe’s eye, but he remained composed and didn’t look like he wanted to share where he was going.

“Are you going to tell me where?”

“I have an appointment.” The spark turned into a small flame.

  I narrowed my eyes.

“With you. You owe me dinner.” Gabe added and strolled toward me. He leaned over the bed and kissed me. A fresh taste of toothpaste remained on his gums.

I wrapped my hands around his neck and pulled him down onto the bed, opening my lips wider. Shutting my eyes tight, my urgent tongue moved along Gabe’s, allowing him to own my mouth
, to let him know I was his and would never again betray him.

When he’d finally pulled away, I was breathless. “You’re not mad at me?” I whispered against his mouth.

“Yes and no.” He kissed me again then stood up. “You’re too innocent to have known what you were getting yourself into. I’m going to make sure that, after tonight, you will never be afraid to tell me anything and everything.”

“How are you going to do that?”

“Trust, Samantha. I need you to trust me beyond your rational mind, to know that you will always be safe with me.”

  “I do.”

  “We’ll see,” he said.

The mysterious flame in his eyes captivated me.

“Too innocent, you say?” I scooted to the edge of the bed, reached between his legs and slid my hand under his briefs.

“That’s what you got from what I said?” He laughed.

I couldn’t resist curving my palm around him. I moved my hand down his hardening shaft, cupping his balls, feeling the warmth of his soft cock, massaging him gently; enjoying the feel of his growing excitement.

“Perhaps innocent is not the right word,” Gabe moaned, still fumbling with the top button of his shirt. He finally gave up and lowered his hand to my wrist.

He took my hand out of his briefs and brought it to his lips for a kiss. “Hold that thought for tonight. Next time you take me in your mouth will be because you want to, not because you feel guilty.”

  “But—”

“No buts. I know you better than you know yourself.”

  “I wanted to.”

  “For the wrong reason.”

Was Gabe right? Did I want to please him so he’d forget about my betrayal? It was what I’d done with Casey to make him happy. But Gabe was different. I’d never enjoyed cock as much as Gabe’s.

“Samantha, I appreciate what you were trying to do, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. But right now, you need to get dressed.” He kissed my nose and strolled to the closet. He pulled out a hanger. White satin fabric flowed to the ground.

“I have only one request,” he said.

At that moment, I thought Gabe’s eyes had borrowed fire from hell.

  “Yes?”

  “Don’t wear a bra.”

I knew he’d forgiven me for earlier, and I vowed to show him I wanted him for all the right reasons. “As you wish.” I jumped off the bed and hurried toward the low-cut dress.

“It’s beautiful. How do you know it will fit?”

  “Give me some credit, Sam.”

If Gabe wanted to play games, I was all in. I needed to forget what had happened earlier with Martinez and trust Gabe to protect me. I tugged at the belt of my robe and let it slide to the ground. Aware of Gabe’s stare following the sway of my ass, I sashayed into the bathroom.

“If it weren’t for your panties, I’d have you right now,” he said.

I knew he was lying. Whatever Gabe had planned for tonight took priority; otherwise, even my panties wouldn’t stop him from taking me. With that thought, I removed my panties and pocketed the white lace in Gabe’s pants that were set aside on a chair. I quickly pulled the dress over my head. My heart flip flopped. “Promises, promises,” I called out.

On Gabe’s side of the marble counter, a new gem caught my eye. I took the silver sailboat wheel between my fingers and stepped into the doorway, unable to take my eyes off it.

“This isn’t for me,” I whispered, knowing Gabe would have only bought a charm that meant something to us both.

“No, Sam. It’s not. I forgot I had it in the drawer.” Gabe came into the bathroom, his eyes frozen as if dipped in dry ice.

“Did it belong to Jo?” I asked.

“No, but it was supposed to.” He stepped closer and opened his palm.

“You were going to fit it with a tracking device?” I placed the charm gently into his palm.

“Yes, but I was too late. I never got a chance.” He pulled open the drawer and put it in a silver box. The container held a small locket at the front and a bow made out of the same metal material as the box. It was beautiful: the perfect resting spot for the charm.

“It shouldn’t be in a drawer, Gabe.” I shook my head.

“I haven’t found the right place for it yet. You look marvelous, Samantha.” The ice in Gabe’s eyes began melting as he swiftly changed the subject and scanned my body from the bottom up.

Gabe may not have known where the captivating gem belonged, but I did. As soon as he left the bathroom, I sneaked the charm into the pocket of my sweats and left them neatly folded on a chair.

“Is Kendra joining us?” I stepped out of the bathroom.

Gabe stood in front of the mirror, struggling to straighten his tie. “Kendra’s perimeter has been changed for tonight to the inside of the house.”

  “Why?”

“Because, unlike you, I don’t trust her. Tristan will be here later to talk to her.”

“You don’t think you’re being too harsh?”

“Sam, Martinez is a dangerous man. He would have killed you today.”

“I understand, Gabe.” At the sudden urge to be held I ran to him, throwing myself into his arms.

He held me tightly. “I won’t let him hurt you, I promise.” He kissed the top of my head.

The embrace soothed me, and I wondered how I had ever lived without Gabe. For the first time in my life, I felt like I was really being taken care of the way a woman is supposed to be.

I exhaled and looked into Gabe’s eyes. “You didn’t shave.” I touched his cheek. “Would you like me to help you with that?”

“No.” Gabe shook his head and smirked. “I left the stubble for a reason.”

I wondered what he meant, but his crooked tie caught my attention. “Here.” I took hold of the knot and straightened it at the front of his neck. Gabe’s aftershave was a blend of musky scents, reminding me of a forest and the smell of fresh moss and pine. His secret Cupid’s aroma.

He took my face between his palms and kissed my nose. “Are you ready?”

“Just a little make-up and I’m good to go.”

“No, leave your face natural. I like it this way.” He smoothed my cheek with the back of his hand and returned to the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, I stood with Gabe outside by the pool, looking from side to side, trying to get a glimpse of his surprise, but nothing appeared.

“We’re leaving the house?” I asked.

“Yes, but security will be tight.”

Up until now I hadn’t seen any security, though I had no doubt they were always nearby.

“Will they frisk me?” I bit my lip.

“I’m the only one who will frisk you tonight, Samantha.”

My stomach flipped as I tried to control my excitement. The last thing I wanted was to sit on my white dress without underwear, leaving a wet stain on my behind.

Gabe led us past the pool onto a path toward the bay. White night-lights embedded into the stone lit our way to the beach. Ahead, pure blackness swallowed the ocean.

Gabe had a boat docked there waiting for us.

“Where are we going?” I looked at him, impatient.

“On a d—” He paused. “It’s a simple dinner, Sam.”

A gentle tug at my belly disagreed. Nothing about Gabriel Silver was simple.

“I liked the way the boat rocked us this afternoon,” he added.

The memory of Gabe’s cock hardening in my mouth made me tingle again. He was right. The waves had swayed the boat to the rhythm of the head of his cock hitting the back of my throat. My nipples began to stiffen at the memory. I had never enjoyed blowing anyone as much.

When we’d reached the shore, I removed my sandals and stepped onto the beach. Grains of sand, still warm from the afternoon sun, heated my feet. Out in the ocean, I noticed a small flashing light. It disappeared and then reappeared in a sequence.

“Out there.” Gabe pointed to where the light flashed. With a click of a button in
his pocket, a yacht lit up with lights all over its sides. The sleek speedboat shone brightly in the black sea.

My jaw dropped. “Is that where we’re going?”

“Yes.” Gabe tapped my chin up. “But I’m hoping the wind will pick up a bit for an extra bob or two.”

As if commanded, the wind blew my hair. Gabe gently tucked it behind my ear.

“I don’t need the wind to bob.” I squeezed his hand.

  “I bet you don’t.”

“Let’s go then.” I began to cross the beach to the dock.

“Hold on. I remember someone ordering sex on the beach.”

The memory of our night at Kissed seemed distant.

“I did, didn’t I?” I stopped mid-step, recalling our night at the club. A new spark lit deep in my belly.

Gabe leaned forward. “And I keep my promises.”

His fingers dug into my sides as he took me into his arms. The wind cooled my bare back and Gabe slid his hand up my spine, pinning my head to his mouth.

I molded into his body, feeling his muscles harden against the soft silk of my dress. Even the thin fabric was too much separating us. With a few steps to the right, my bare feet found a blanketed surface and Gabe slowly lowered my body, never letting go of my mouth.

His insistent hands slid down my curves to the hem of my dress. He lifted it higher along my thigh until he touched my hip and paused. “You’re not wearing panties.”

“Check your pocket.” I bit my lip.

Gabe reached lower and brought the small piece of white fabric to his nose. He inhaled deeply. “You were turned on back home.”

  “I still am.”

“Not much can surprise me, Samantha. But you do, every day.” He fumbled in the other pocket. The rip of foil sounded as if he’d opened a large envelope.

I propped myself up on my elbows, hoping to see his cock, but the darkness consumed him. If it hadn’t been for his breath warming my face, I wouldn’t have known he was there. With my sight taken away, my senses worked overtime.

With the next kiss, I knew he wouldn’t let go until he was done. The roughness of his body and his need to have me showed in every touch and growl. His pants were lowered halfway, my dress drawn up to my waist, exposing my lower half.
