When the kiss broke he went to speak, “Tai...” But he was rendered speechless when her hands went to the hem of her shirt to pull it off. “Ummm...Tai,” he gulped. He couldn’t speak and she didn’t stop with her shirt. She reached behind her and unhooked her bra and it quickly joined her top on the floor. His breath caught in throat. She was beautiful, she was his. However, this was wrong they hadn’t known each other that long. He wanted her, but he needed to make sure her head was in the right place before they continued, because he wouldn’t be able stop.
He couldn’t speak, his eyes were locked on her chest, he was breathing heavily. He opened his mouth again, “Oh no you don’t, playboy.” She flashed him a seductive grin. And all control remaining was lost with one small look.
He rolled her off of him so she was flat on her back. He held his weight off of her so he could admire her body. She was a sight; yep, Jordan was a complete idiot for not realizing what he truly had in Tai. Raiden however, was going to treasure and cherish her, treat her like a princess because she deserved nothing less from the man that loved her. As that thought crossed through his head, he froze. ‘Love so soon, did he?’ He was certainly falling in love, but was he already?’ She stared up at him with passion filled eyes, her breath matching his, and he had his answer. “Tai, I know we’ve only known each other a day basically, but I love you.” She expelled a deep breath and reached for his head lowering it so their lips touch, but barely.
“Love you too, playboy.” He smiled at her use of playboy again. She, in her own way, was telling him that his past was indeed his past, but that she still wanted to see all of him. Well if she wanted the playboy in bed she was going to get him.
He carefully sucked on her neck and tasted her flesh with his tongue. His mouth never left her body as he trailed his hands and lips down her body. He stopped at her breasts and while he caressed one with his hand, he took the other one into his mouth. His tongue traced her nipple and a soft moan came from her mouth. He continued his downward trail with his mouth tracing the skin above her waistband of her jeans with light kisses and licks of his tongue. She was slowly coming apart.
“Dear God, Raiden,” she panted out.
Tai
What he was doing to her body at this moment was causing internal explosions. His hand reached for the button of her jeans and she let out a gasp. His hands stalled, why the hell was he stopping? Her eyes were closed but she suddenly felt his breath at her ear. “Tai, we can stop.” No, she didn’t want to stop, why did he want to stop?
“You want to stop, Raiden?” she painfully questioned. He said he loved her had he changed his mind already? The last six months her and Jordan hadn’t had much of a sex life, she thought it was because she was so busy with wedding stuff but she now knew the truth behind that. Was she nervous to sleep with Raiden? Of course. Could he feel that? Had it turned him off?
“Tai, sweetheart, open your eyes.” She did as he commanded. “Are you okay?” How did she answer that? Was she okay? She wasn’t completely sure.
“I’m nervous,” she choked out.
“Do you want to stop?” She shook her head.
“Do you?” she managed to get out.
“No, Tai, I don’t, but I don’t want us to rush either. Why are you nervous?” he asked and she owed him an honest answer.
“I...ummm....I haven’t slept with anyone in six months. I thought it was because I was always so busy with the wedding stuff, but now I know why he seemed unaffected by the fact that we weren’t having sex.” She bit her bottom lip.
“Was Jordan your first, Tai?” She just nodded. “Tai, I’m going to take care of you. If you need to stop or need me to go slower, just talk to me. No matter what, it won’t affect us, as much as I want you, I can wait. Remember, I want something everlasting.” She expelled the breath she didn’t realize she was holding.
“I’ll be okay, I trust you to take care of me. I want this.” He smiled and his eyes stayed locked with hers as his hands started on the button of her jeans again. As he worked down her zipper she could feel herself relaxing.
Raiden
He could literally feel her begin to relax as he gently removed her jeans her eyes hadn’t left him since he made her open them. She was nervous; he understood that and immediately realized he needed to love her with care. He noticed that she seemed to think he wanted to stop when he questioned if she needed to stop. She was doubting herself, doubting whether or not she could be enough for him, but he didn’t need this part of their relationship. She was already enough, this part was a bonus. He kicked off his jeans and reached over her into the nightstand for a condom. He slid it on faster than he had ever slid one on. He wanted her.
His tip was at her entrance. “You with me, Tai?” She smiled at him.
“With you, playboy.” He laughed as he slid into her.
“You know, that is growing on me, my sweet Tai.” She laughed and he reacted by placing a hand on her stomach. Her laughter stopped and her gaze became heated with passion. “Love your laugh but not when I’m inside of you trying not to burst too soon.” She nodded and her gaze became hooded with both love and lust as he began a slow but steady pace inside of her.
She was tight but it felt so good as his cock moved inside of her each thrust in and out stretching her body so she could take him deeper and deeper. As the pace moved from slow and steady to just steady he could hear her breathing pick up as her hands clawed at his back and her legs wrapped around his hips pulling him closer. He let more of his weight fall onto her getting close enough to kiss her. Her tongue met his half-way as their mouths collided with each other. Her hands, still clawing at his back, the moans escaping her lips as they continued their kiss, causing him to change his rhythm again. He was now at a fast pace, one that could be considered punishing. She broke their kiss panting heavily as she locked her ankles to hold him against her tighter. Her hips are now matching his pace as they made love for the first time.
Her breathing was getting out of control and the sweat was forming on his skin and hers he was close and he knew she was too. He reached a hand in between them as he kept up his fast paced rhythm into her body. He trailed one finger then two over her clit making light circular motions. She closed her eyes again, but this time he wasn’t concerned. He knew she was trying to control her body. “Let go, Tai.” And his words were her undoing, he felt her whole body shudder and even though he had a condom on he could feel the warmth from her orgasm. And it was all he needed to follow only seconds after her.
He collapsed on her carefully not wanting to crush her with his weight and her arms came to stop from clawing at his back to just resting on him. He felt her legs unlock from around him but she didn’t make a move to disconnect them. He was placing light feathery kisses against her shoulder when her hands came up his back and wrapped around his neck. “Thank you, Raiden.”
He turned his head slightly so he could look at her, “For what, Tai?” He hadn’t done anything.
“You promised to take care of me and you did. I have never felt so cherished.” He placed a light kiss on her cheek and then her lips. He lifted his weight off of her so he could stare into her eyes.
“You deserve nothing less than to be cherished, Tai. Jordan should’ve treated you like a princess and he failed. Now I’m going to show you how you were always meant to be treated.” He watched her breath hitch at his words and her eyes glistened with tears. “Sleep in here again tonight, Tai?” he requested as he finally disconnected them and got up to take care of the condom.
“You weren’t getting rid of me tonight, playboy.” They both laughed.
He crawled back into his bed pulling the covers over them. She settled on her side facing him and he made sure to do the same. He pulled her against his chest he wanted her to fall asleep like she had last night.
“Tell me about your mom, Raiden,” she requested quietly. He ran his hand down her back and nodded.
Tai
She felt at peace, s
he felt loved and cherished, she felt like a princess. So laying there naked pressed up against Raiden she changed the subject to the one that originally had brought them to his room tonight, his mom. She wanted to know more about the guy she knew without a doubt she had fallen in love with. A Prince, for real, but above that, her own Prince Charming with or without the actual title.
He started speaking, his voice low, “Mom was great, and we were always close. The three of us were always close. It never bothered me to have such a close relationship with my parents.”
“Never bothered me either, I’m just glad my dad and I are still close.” He nodded at her.
“Yeah, I imagine it might be a while before you talk with your mom again.” He said it on a slight chuckle, she knew he wasn’t trying to be mean but she couldn’t help the wince when he the said the words.
“Oh shit, Tai. That was a dumb thing to say. I’m sorry sweetheart.” The immediate apology again made her feel like a precious treasure. Jordan never apologized for stupid shit like that till it had festered to the point of Tai just being flat out furious with him.
“Anyhow, mom died last year, she had been sick for a while, so dad and I were expecting it. Won’t say it was easy, but we had each other and we were blessed with mom for a while. Thirty years for my dad and twenty-seven for me.”
“So you’re twenty-seven or twenty-eight?” she asked.
“I’ll be twenty-eight in a few months it will be the first birthday without mom. She passed away two months after I turned twenty-seven.”
“I’m sorry, Raiden.” She watched as he shook his head her telling her not to be sorry because he wasn’t, even though he missed his mom.
“I’m twenty-four, although I didn’t celebrate this year.” His eyes widened and she regretted that last part.
“Why, Tai?” He waited for the answer as if he knew what was coming.
“It was the week of the breakup. Three days after to be exact. I wasn’t exactly in the mood to celebrate.”
“You didn’t celebrate at all?” She watched the wheels in his head turned as he asked his question. She casually shook her head.
“What’s going on in your head, Raiden?” she asked with some nervous excitement.
“Nothing, Tai. Let’s sleep.” She pouted and he laughed before kissing her goodnight. A sweet and innocent kiss, and far too quick, yet somehow perfect.
Tai was asleep against him for the second night in a row, and for the second night in a row he couldn’t sleep. He was thinking about the fact that she didn’t celebrate her birthday. Her heart had just been destroyed by the one person who should have cherished it more than life. He couldn’t have that. He would make sure she got to celebrate, because she deserved to. His phone vibrated on his nightstand. ‘I need you for a minute son.’ His dad, this would be more news about Kai and his whole family for sure. He twisted out of Tai’s embrace as quietly and carefully as he could not wanting to wake her, but she did indeed stir and her eyes fluttered open.
“Where are you going?” she asked sleepily, it was adorable.
“My dad needs me for something, I’ll be back, go back to sleep.” She nodded and her eyes closed. He found his jeans and proceeded out of his room and towards his dad’s study.
“Dad¸” he said as he entered his father was turned towards the window of his study.
“Tai asleep?” he asked.
“I disturbed her accidently getting out of bed but she was going back to sleep.”
“Oh good. You have a good day, son?” His father was stalling which meant bad news.
“Things were great till we ran into Gloria, but then they got better again.”
“You might not get the luxury of waiting a month or two to tell Tai everything, son.”
He understood, Gloria didn’t keep her mouth shut and Kai now knew Raiden had indeed found someone. She was no longer just the stranger outside his house. “Shit,” he muttered.
“Continue to tread carefully, she looked pretty smitten when I ran into her earlier while she was looking for you.” Those words made him smile.
“Dad, I know it’s only been practically a day but I told Tai I loved her tonight.” His dad’s eyes shot to him and widened with joy and question. “She said she loved me, too, but I know things are still new. I will figure things out as they come. Right now I just need to take care of my girl.”
“Go on. Just wanted you to have the heads up.” Raiden nodded and headed back towards his room, back towards Tai.
He would pay Kai a visit if he had to, but he preferred to just stay away and not deal with him. Fuck, this was going to end badly.
He tried to quietly crawl into bed but as soon as his arms laced around her she looked up at him.
“Everything all right?” she asked.
“Not really, Tai, but it will be.” She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed, oddly it calmed him down. Things were going to get rocky but in the end work out.
“I’m not going anywhere playboy, you’re stuck with me now.” He brought his lips to the top of her head.
“Good thing, sweetheart, because I wasn’t planning on letting you go.” She snuggled into him and he felt her breathing quickly even out telling him she was once again asleep. Even though he didn’t feel like he could sleep, Tai’s even peaceful breaths soon relaxed him and his eyes closed.
Tai
When she woke for the second morning alone in Raiden’s bed she wondered if she would ever wake up next to him. She wasn’t concerned about it though, especially since yesterday morning when she found him he was cooking breakfast. She got herself dressed and went to her room. She wanted to shower and freshen up before she went in search of him. She didn’t want to run into his dad looking like she did, her hair was out of control and it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what had happened between her and Raiden last night. And while it was beautiful, she was still scared of his dad thinking she was a cheap slut and now in this because Raiden was a prince. Once she was confident she looked presentable, she needed a few moments to gather herself.
To the world,
Well in last two days a lot of shit has happened to me. The most important one being in the course of twenty-four hours I fell in love. Yes, that’s right, in love. I know it’s strange and definitely not something I expected. But I learned your heart and body knows what it wants when it finds it. And I want Raiden. I don’t know why I settled for Jordan knowing what I know now. Raiden is right, Jordan is an idiot he never treated me like Raiden is treating me and we were together for two years.
I’m still afraid of the fall. The one that will happen when all of his secrets are revealed but I am willing to give him time.
I trust he knows what is best when it comes to the time frame of revealing those. He knows I am still fragile and probably even more so right now, because of my mom.
My dad seems to be on board with the fact that I never checked into a hotel. Truth be told, I don’t think my dad ever liked Jordan. I wonder if I’ll ever get a chance to introduce him to Raiden. I want to. Maybe Raiden would be up for him coming to visit. But I don’t know if I could afford to fly him out here, I need to find a job because I don’t want to deplete what’s left of my savings. I digress again. I should get going though.
~Tai
She went in search of Raiden, a clear head and fresh from her shower, she was worthy of him once again. Although he probably would have accepted her this morning the exact way she had woken up. As she neared what was the entry to the house she heard Raiden’s raised voice and another male voice as well.
“Kai, get the fuck off my property,” Raiden hissed, Tai stayed out of sight and just listened.
“Just checking out what will be mine soon,” the other male voice, she now understood to be Kai, answered smugly.
“You’re fucking delusional if you think I’m letting that happen.” Raiden’s voice was louder than she had heard from him so far.
“Yeah, I know you got yourself
a sweet piece, but I doubt you’ll be able to get her to agree to a marriage proposal in six months.” A proposal? Six months? No she wasn’t ready for something like that again. What would happen if she said no? She was unaware she was moving from her hidden location, but she knew she had when she could feel Raiden’s eyes on her.
“Fuck!” he shouted and she jumped. His eyes leveled on her trying to read her but she felt numb.
She turned away and headed back to her room half way there she heard the front door slam. He would be following her soon.
Raiden
He was getting things ready to give Tai the best damn birthday she had ever had, when the knock came to the door. Opening it and finding Kai’s smug ass on his doorstep was not something he needed or wanted in that moment. What was even worse than Kai showing up on his doorstep, was the moment he felt Tai’s presence. He knew as he turned around that she heard the bit about needing to propose in six months.
When he slammed the door in Kai’s face he took off after her he caught up with her right before she reached her room. She paused; he realized she felt his presence like he could feel hers. Even though she stopped she didn’t turn around.
“Tai?” he questioned.
“Six months, you need to be engaged in six months, that’s why you’re being overly sweet?” Shit, he didn’t realize she would think that.
“No, Tai,” he said softly taking a couple steps towards her saddened that she still hadn’t turned around.
“So you don’t have to be engaged in six months?” she asked finally turning around.
“Yes I do, but that isn’t why, Tai, I love you, I want you.”
“I don’t know if I can, Raiden. What happens then?” she sighed.
“I walk away and my dad arranges an engagement and marriage for me.” Saying those words stung.
“You promised you wouldn’t break my heart,” she snapped.
“I won’t, Tai, but I will do what I have to do. I won’t let Kai and his family destroy what my family built.” He stepped towards her and she stepped back. That hurt deeper than he would ever be able to explain to her.
