The Prince Charming Search Page 9

Looking up from in between her legs for a minute he caught his breath before asking, “Do you trust me?”

She nodded, and he found his spot between her legs once again. He sucked on her skin and she bucked against him. Then he very carefully nipped at her skin pulling on folds with his front teeth only.

“Oh God,” she breathed. He came from between her legs and kissed up her stomach seeking her mouth once again.

While they kissed he eased his own jeans and boxers down around his ankles. He leaned up kicking his jeans and boxers off till they hit the floor. He reached for his nightstand drawer and pulled out a condom and tore the package open like a mad man. Slipping it on him rested the head of his penis at her entrance. He grabbed both of her hands with his and interlaced their fingers as he pushed in her.

“Never going to hurt you, sweetheart. You’re mine, and I’ll forever take care of you.” She nodded as she found her own rhythm.

Together they pushed against each other as he dropped his forehead to hers.

“Love you, Raiden,” she said up against his mouth as he picked up his rhythm. They didn’t kiss. They just stayed like that eyes locked as they loved each other with their bodies. He was his and she wasn’t getting away.

  Tai

She felt her orgasm begin to take over, but she wanted to come with Raiden this time. He always made her let go first, not this time. “Playboy, come with me please.” He pressed a light answering kiss against her mouth and as she shuddered, she felt his body jerk with her.

He collapsed onto her and she noticed he didn’t take her like he usually did with his weight, but she didn’t care. She rubbed his back feeling more connected to him than she had all month long. Which considering how deep they had been connected from the very beginning it was quite the revelation for her. Despite knowing what she knew now she felt closer to him.

His breathing settled as did hers he rolled off her disconnecting them. As they were pulled apart she whimpered at the loss of him. He got up, presumably to take care of the condom. She rolled to her side propping herself up on her elbow and just watched him. Hell yeah, she was one lucky lady.

“Are you going to be okay with Jordan staying in town?’ She asked as the condom hit the trash and he pulled on his boxers.

“As long as he knows his place where you’re concerned, I’ll be fine.” She chuckled at that statement as he crawled towards her.

“He gets it now I think; he might try to form a friendship again though.” She looked up at Raiden and waited for a response.

“If you want that, then it’s fine, I trust you, Tai.” She nodded.

“This has been one insane day. Life with you won’t ever be boring will it?” He answered with a shake of his head and settled next to her. The look on his face was worrying her as they stared at each other. “You okay, Raiden?”

“Fine, sweetheart. I just...I just thought I had lost you. And then even after you decided on staying. Being intimate was bothering you, and it didn’t bother me that you needed time for that I was just scared that it would affect your decision to stay.” The painfully honest tone of his voice made her heart stutter.

“I just felt weird afterwards. I can’t put my finger on it and after what just happened between us I don’t know why I worried.” She told him giving him back his honesty, something he had given her and had always given her from the moment they met.

Yes, he kept his secrets but he had his reasons and she understood them, and accepted them. She snuggled into him and he held her tightly, no more words were needed they just needed this embrace.

They needed to talk about the fact that Kai wouldn’t give up. If Jordan was indeed going to hang around, Kai needed to be off limits for him. With Tai snuggled up against him still naked, he didn’t want to bring up Kai and Jordan in the same sentence.

“Tai, if Jordan is going to stay around he needs to stay clear of Kai.” He leveled his voice he needed to know he wouldn’t tolerate Jordan conversing with Kai.

“I understand, I’ll let him know, also I’ll tell him to let us know if Kai approaches him.” Raiden nodded at her response he wasn’t a fan of her having contact with Jordan but it was a necessary evil and better than the alternative of Kai convincing Jordan to partner with him.

“Come, Tai, let’s go get something eat, I need to talk with someone and I want to introduce you to her.” Tai’s eyes shot up at him. “Relax, Tai, she’s an old friend. Her family remained the most loyal of all the full vampires.” He studied her as she thought about his words. She was processing something, but he couldn’t read her. “Sweetheart?” She shook her head.

“It’s nothing. I was being silly, what’s her name?”

“Bethany and you weren’t being silly, I like that you got a little jealous,” he laughed at her glare and she smacked his arm. “Ouch, sweetheart,” he laughed harder and she joined him.

“I hate you, playboy,” she said through her laughs and he pinned her to the bed and hovered over her.

Her eyes flashed with desire and her breathing picked up, “Your reactions are saying something very different, sweetheart.” She laughed and shoved at him.

“Let’s get out of here, playboy.” He chuckled and crawled off the bed helping her off as well.

  Tai

She was gorgeous and polite and oh yeah, A VAMPIRE. Why he didn’t want the attractive Bethany, she had no clue, but she was grateful. “You’re Tai, I’ve heard a lot about you.” Tai looked up and smiled.

“Good things, I hope?” She smirked in Raiden’s direction.

He smiled and Bethany responded, “Only the best. Allow me to thank you as well.” Tai grew confused.

  “For what?”

Bethany shoved Raiden’s shoulder, “now I won’t have to marry his ass.” She laughed but Tai felt her face grow pale and Raiden winced.

“Oh shit, I thought he told you.” Tai shook her head. She fought hard to keep the tears and jealousy at bay, but she was failing.

“Tai. sweetheart...” Raiden began but Bethany slid next to Tai in the booth and cut him off.

“Tai, you have nothing to worry about. I don’t feel that way about him. I never have, it was just a necessary evil, I wanted him to find his soul-mate always, hell, I want the chance to find mine, and now I can do that. I love him but only like a brother.” Tai nodded. She understood, she was still a little hurt that Raiden didn’t tell her he knew he would be setup with.

“I’ll give you two a minute, I’ll be back to take your order.” She turned on her heel and left them alone.

“One thing, Raiden, why didn’t you tell me you knew who you would be setup with?”

“I didn’t think it was important. I found you,” he sighed and she understood he wanted her so who he would possibly be arranged with no longer mattered. He wanted to marry her.

“Okay, I get it, playboy.” She smiled at him and he returned her smile.

“One day, Tai I’ll get it all right, I’ll get this whole relationship thing right, I promise.” She reached across the table settling her hand on top of his.

“You already do, we are just going to have things to work through and that won’t ever change, we’ll just have to grow from it.” She didn’t know where the wisdom was coming from but she was glad to have found it.

“Have you been talking to both of our dad’s a lot recently? That sounds like the type of advice they would shell out.”

She laughed and shook her head and he wrapped his fingers around her hand.

Bethany returned as promised to take their order, in the middle the door chimed again and her eyes flashed towards the door to size up the new customer or customers.

“Who is he?” she asked nodding towards the door. Tai shifted in her seat and Raiden’s eyes looked up towards the door and then Tai heard a frustrated growl from Raiden’s mouth and she laughed.

“My ex-fiancé, Jordan.” she answered because Raiden wasn’t going to.

  “Oh he’s cute.” Beth
any fanned herself and Tai chuckled but Raiden let out another growl. One that only made Tai laugh harder.

“Let me go put your order in.” She finally snapped out of her stare lock with Jordan. Tai felt relief when she saw the look in both of their eyes. They were each other’s soul-mate, she knew it deep down.

“We should call him over tell him about Kai.” He sighed at her suggestion but nodded and then waved Jordan over.

Tai got up and crawled into the side of booth Raiden was on.

  Raiden

He didn’t want to deal with Jordan right now, but Tai was right. he was here might as well get it over with he couldn’t have Kai get to him first. Jordan looked a bit confused being waved over by Raiden but he didn’t let it stop it him from coming over either.

“Hey, you two,” he said stopping at the table.

“Have a seat, Jordan, Raiden needs to talk with you about something important.”

“I swear, dude, I needed to get away that’s why I’m staying....I’m not going to try to take her from you...” He started rambling and Raiden had no clue what to say, luckily for him Tai did.

“Jordan, shut up and sit down.” Jordan did as Tai ordered.

“The person that called Tai’s mom was a man by the name of Kai. He doesn’t want Tai and me to work because then it means him and his family get control. If you hang around here, he’s off limits. If he comes to you, you’re to come tell us. It is extremely important he will do whatever he can to destroy me, to destroy us. Do you understand?” Raiden leveled a hard stare on Jordan.

He nodded, “Of course, man, I want Tai happy and you’re the one that does that.”

“Can I get you something to drink or eat or both maybe?” Bethany was back and she sounded extremely nervous. Tai elbowed Raiden because he was in a trance perhaps. He wasn’t used to Bethany being nervous, he was confused by it.

‘What?’ He mouthed to her. He watched as her eyes flicked to Bethany and to Jordan and then landed back on him. He wasn’t following and she knew that she smiled and shook her head mouthing ‘I’ll explain later.’ He just nodded as Bethany disappeared again.

“Is she ummm....is she a...is she like you, Raiden?” Tai smiled at Jordan’s stumbling. Raiden didn’t know why.

“Yes,” Raiden stated simply Tai seemed to know what was going on but he was lost.

Bethany brought Jordan’s drink and their food, her eyes never left Jordan. “I’m Bethany,” she smiled.

“I’m Jordan.” He extended his hand to Bethany and Raiden shot a look to Tai, she shrugged. He finally understood what Tai noticed right away.

He wasn’t sure what to think about it, but if it kept Jordan away from Tai, it was a plus side. “Hey, playboy, you’re grinning like a loon.” He shifted his eyes to his woman and gave her an amused frustrated glare which sent her into a fit of laughter.

He placed his arm around her shoulders and pulled till she was tucked up against him.

Leaning against her so he was up her ear he whispered, “This playboy will take care of you later.” Her laughter stopped and he felt a heated passionate desire stare now locked on him.

Ha! Mission accomplished, he was going to give her full on playboy later.

  To the world,

So Raiden and I have been together almost four months now. There is one more full month left in his dad’s plan. If he doesn’t propose, if I say no, then he and Bethany get engaged. Last month I realized I was ready so whenever he asks the answer is a most definite yes. I love him. I want to spend my life with Raiden. There is no doubt in my head. Over the last couple of months Jordan and I have found some common ground and Bethany and I have become really good friends.

It has been nice to have a girlfriend I can turn to and she told me some dirty secrets about little Raiden, stories that when I shared with him he was pissed she had shared. It was amusing to say the least. Raiden is out with his dad and Bethany had to work so I am stuck here by myself which isn’t bad because I am planning a super special night for Raiden. It’s his birthday and his dad wanted to take him to dinner after they finished their business in the city.

Raiden didn’t want to go but I told him it was okay, he’ll be glad he did when he gets back here.

The bedroom is all setup for dessert. I am expecting him any minute now. I went lingerie shopping today, something I have never done before. I was going to right before Jordan and I got married for some honeymoon lingerie, really glad I hadn’t gotten that far. Anyhow, I hope he likes the black and red piece I picked out. Oh, got to go, world. I just heard the front door.

  ~Tai

The knob on the bedroom door, our bedroom door began to twist. She jumped up on the bed after making sure the lights were correct. Thank goodness for the dimmer. She positioned herself in the center of the bed lying horizontally across it. Propped up on an elbow she bit her bottom lip and waited. He had stopped turning the knob and she could hear the muffled voices of him and his dad still conversing. Oh hell, come in here already. When the door finally opened he stood there stock still not removing his hand from the knob of the door.

“What’s...what...what is all this?” She flashed him the seductive grin that usually got him to jump into action.

“It’s your birthday, Raiden, have you forgotten this?” She watched as the smile spread across his face as he took in her body she felt her breath catch in her throat under the heated look in dark eyes that melted her from the inside out. She immediately felt a wetness start to grace her skin in between her legs. He finally closed the door and entered the room. Stopping again when the tray of desserts caught his eye.

“Sweetheart?” he questioned softly. Oh good he was lost she wanted that.

“Happy Birthday, playboy.” His eyes lightened as he took the room in again. After that, he was on top of her holding his weight above her.

“So can I lick some of dessert off of you?” The desire and passion shining in his eyes caused her to lose her voice she just nodded biting her lip harder.

His lips came towards her and she instantly let go of her bottom lip to meet his kiss. And they were completely gone.

  Raiden

He left Tai asleep in bed as the sun began to shine through. He wanted to talk with his dad before taking Tai to breakfast at the diner. Bethany was working and he needed to get some information from her regarding Gloria who worked at the same diner. He had gotten information that she was still hanging out with Kai and that bothered him, not because he cared about her but because he cared about Tai and the society his family built.

“Hey, dad,” Raiden said walking into his dad’s study.

“Hello, son, what can I assist you with?” he smirked. He knew damn well what Raiden was doing there. But he was going to make Raiden ask.

“I want mom’s ring, I want to ask Tai to marry me. She’s the one.” He smiled, his dad smiled. He then handed over the ring that Raiden was only allowed to have if he found his soul-mate. Tai was that for him, he knew it, his dad knew it, and he hoped his mom knew it and that she approved.

“Anything else?” Raiden nodded and ran his hand through his hair.

“Yeah, got word Kai is still hanging around Gloria. He’s got something up his sleeve. Taking Tai to breakfast, Bethany is working going to talk with her about keeping an eye out for Kai and to pay attention to things Gloria says.

“That’s a good idea. Does Tai know your connection with Bethany?” Raiden just nodded he didn’t want to rehash that moment.

“How is Bethany?” his dad asked.

“She’s good. I think her and Tai’s ex-fiancé are forming a bond.” His dad nodded and the wheels turned.

“How does Tai feel about that?” he finally asked.

“She’s fine with it. She knows deep down Jordan is a good person and she wasn’t his one. She wants him happy.” His father nodded again.

“How do you feel about it?” Raiden raised her brows.

“I don’t mind him hanging around longer, and if he m
akes Bethany happy, then good. We both deserve the shot at finding our true love. I found mine and I want her to find hers now too.” His dad smiled. He had always like Bethany and wouldn’t have minded her as a daughter-in-law but he was glad Raiden had found the one.

  Tai

They found a booth in Bethany’s section and waited for her to realize they were there. She knew they were there to talk as well as eat so when they were spotted, she held up a finger. Raiden didn’t catch it but Tai did so she nodded in Bethany’s direction. Something the last few months was bothering Tai probably for no reason but she needed to ask.

“Hey, Raiden, did you ever date Bethany?” His eyes lifted from the menu and connected with hers.

“Where did that come from, sweetheart?” Concern lacing his voice.

  She shrugged, “Just wondering.”

“No, we never dated. I told you I didn’t date before you. And before you ask I never slept with her. She was the safest bet, which is why she was chosen, and being married to her would’ve been like marrying my best friend and sister which is a bit gross.” Tai nodded and then kept her head down.

She was being stupid again but she wanted to be his best friend, his life partner, his everything.

“Tai, stop it. You’re my life. My best friend, my soul-mate, my forever.” He wiped her tears. And she gave him a small smile as he kissed the corner of her mouth.

“Sorry you two.” Bethany came up breaking their moment but it didn’t bother Tai.

“Hi Bethany.” Tai turned towards the end of the table where Bethany was standing looking like she was taking their order so she wouldn’t get called out.

“So what’s going on Raiden?” she asked.
