“Ahhhhhhh!” he heard Angel scream. She must have scared Kaileb because he started crying, which is something he rarely did.

Angel put her son over her shoulder to soothe him as she walked back into their bedroom wide-eyed. “What…umm…uhh.” She was so shocked that she couldn't even form a sentence.

Tears instantly started to flow when Kaison took the ring from her and got down on one knee. “My Angel, I could write a book on how I feel about you. You came into my life due to unfortunate circumstances and as crazy as I may sound, I'm happy for that. Had you not came into my life, I probably never would have ever experienced true love. You made a very honest man out of me and I can't imagine my life without you in it.

“You treated my daughter as if she was yours way before you even adopted her and she loves you like no other. You are my second gift and I love you for that and so much more. There's no words to really explain how I feel right now, but all I know is I want you to be mines for all eternity. So will you make me a very happy man and become my wife?”

By now, Angel had cried a whole ocean. She had never heard such beautiful words about her ever in her life. From the first moment she laid eyes on Kaison, she knew he would be the one due to wishful thinking, but she never knew her wishes would come true. “Yesssss! Yes, yes, yes!” she exclaimed as she laid Kaileb on the bed and attacked her fiancé.

She kissed him all over his face after jumping in his arms. She hugged him tightly as if he would disappear if she let him go. Kaison laughed at her, “Baby, I gotta put the ring on.”

“Oh yea, okay, sorry. I got a little carried away.” She smiled as she wiped some new tears away. He put the ring on and she fell in love with him all over again. She never considered herself to be wife material, but Kaison always made it a point to prove her wrong whenever she doubted herself.

“Go ahead and call the other two golden sisters,” Kaison laughed as he referred to Kaiah and Kaily.

Angel wasted no time running over to the phone while he picked his son up. “She said yes, lil man. Mommy and daddy are gonna get married,” he cooed.

“I'm getting married!” Angel yelled into the phone

“What?” Kaiah and Kaily yelled at the same time.

“You heard right. My baby liked it so he put a ring on it!”

“Oh my God! Bitch, you official like the whistle,” Kaily said excitedly.

“Kaily, don't ever say some bullshit like that ever again,” Kaiah laughed. “But congrats, sister-in-law, I knew it was bound to happen, though.

“Y'all, I screamed so loud I scared my baby. He probably think his mommy crazy. I can't even stop crying. This is just so awesome. You should have heard what he said when he proposed. Oh my gosh, he's so sweet.”

“I'm pretty sure you deserved to hear everything he said. You deserve to be happy,” Kaily said.

“Amen!” Kaiah yelled as she agreed with her sister.

“Are we still meeting up?” Angel asked.

“Yes, plus this little girl seems to think it's okay to do back flips in my stomach and her daddy not helping none,” Kaiah sighed.

“Y'all making me have baby fever,” said Kaily.

“Have one then,” Kaiah and Angel said at the same time.

“Uhh no, that's what I have you two for, so please keep them coming.”

“See, I'm about to go. You sound like your brother now. He was doing all that crazy talk about he wants another one already,” Angel said as she looked over at Kaison who was laying down with Kaileb on his chest. He looked over at her and winked.

“Well, you better get prepared because you just might end up pregnant again,” Kaiah warned.

“I think not, I have a meeting with my OB/GYN to discuss birth control tomorrow,” Angel informed them.

“Bullshit, you won't be getting on shit,” Kaison said.

Kaiah and Kaily laughed at his outburst. “It looks like daddy has spoken. Looks like there will be no birth control for you,” Kaiah said.

“I'll call y'all back,” Angel said.

“Okay, but don't forget, we’re meeting Orlando’s sister and her family Friday,” Kaily said.

  “Gotcha.”

  “What do you mean, Kaison?”

“You don't need to be on no birth control, Angel. We’re grown as hell and engaged, not some little kids fucking around,” explained Kaison.

“That may be true, but I had no plans on popping out kids back to back Kaison. I have a business to run and I can't do that if I'm pregnant every time you turn around.”

“Angel, do you really think I would just keep putting one in you without discussing it with you first? I'm not that nigga. I will admit that you were sexy as hell when you were pregnant, but I understand you don't want to be pregnant all the damn time. I was just playing with yo ass.”

“Well, you shouldn't play so much.” She fake pouted.

“You are such a brat.” He shook his head.

“I'm an engaged brat.” She smiled brightly as she stretched her hand out to look at her ring.

Kaily was out with Stacy, spending some quality time together, when Angel called with her good news. She was happy for her little brother and sister. Kaison was a good guy with a big heart and Angel was a good girl that just wanted to be loved. She had no doubts that they'd be together until one of them took their last breath.

It seemed as if everyone was getting their happily ever after and she was hoping that she would have hers too. She wasn't in a rush to get married or anything, but maybe in the future.

“Kaison proposed to Angel,” she informed her mother.

  “Aww, that's beautiful.” Stacy smiled.

“Yes it is. Those two deserve each other,” Kaily agreed as her phone beeped, indicating that she had a text. She looked down to see a message from Orlando.

Orlando: I have a special surprise for you.

Just that little simple text gave her butterflies and made her smile wider than the joker. Lately, she had been feeling like she did when she was just a teenager and they had first gotten together. Just the mention of his name would make her heart flutter.

“Happy to see you smiling more,” said Stacy, ripping Kaily from her thoughts.

“I have a lot to smile about.”

“Yes, you do. We were worried about you.”

“I was worried about myself,” Kaily chuckled. “The first three days after it happened, I would literally sit there in the dark, rocking back and forth, asking God why. Then I remembered Poppa said we should never question God and that everything happens for a reason,” she explained.

“That's right, everything does happen for a reason. Sometimes we may never find out what that reason was or why he allowed it to happen, but he makes no mistakes,” Stacy said.

“You're right about that, but I'm just grateful that I had you guys in my corner and you stuck by me because that was not easy to deal with. I mean, I still have nightmares about it sometimes, but they're not like they used to be.” Kaily sighed.

“Okay, enough of the sad talk, chica. I don't want any sad faces from you. We came out to have a good time. I really hate for this outing to be over.” Stacy pouted.

“I know, but we can do something next weekend if you're free,” Kaily suggested.

“Girl, you know I don't do nothing but work and stay home.”

“See that's a problem. You need to get out and get your groove back, Stella,” Kaily teased as they stood up to leave.

“No, you didn't just go there, but you're right.”

The mother-daughter duo hugged each other and made plans to meet up again next weekend that Stacy wasn't working. Kaily jumped in her car and headed home to see what Orlando could have possibly had for her.

She made it to his house in twenty minutes and anxiously jumped out of the car. She knew he was probably in the room watching ESPN, or something pertaining to sports, so that's where she headed. Sure enough, that's exactly what he was doing. She jumped on th
e bed and straddled him.

“Where is it?” she asked, looking around the room.

“Where's what?” Orlando asked, playing dumb.

“Don't play, Lando. You sent me a text saying that you have a surprise for me, so where is it?”

Orlando covered his mouth like he was shocked. “Oh shit, I sent that to you? That was meant for my other girlfriend.”

Kaily slapped him on his bare chest. “Don't play with me. I will fuck your light skin ass up in here,” she said as she played with his braids.

“Okay, okay. Give me a kiss and I'll give it to you,” he flirted.

“Give it to me huh? What exactly will you be giving to me?” She slyly smiled as she ran her hands over his dick.

“Girl, you better quit because if you wake up the beast, it's a wrap for yo little ass,” Orlando half-joked.

“I like the sound of that,” she said before leaning down to kiss his juicy lips. The two shared a passionate kiss before she broke the it, but not before sucking on his bottom lip. She leaned back up and stared into his green eyes. “I love you.”

  “I know,” Orlando smiled.

  “Asshole,” Kaily laughed.

“Nah, but all bullshit aside, I love you too.”

“Oh I know. I've had you wrapped around my finger since the first moment you laid eyes on me.” She smiled as she got off of him.

“I won't deny that.” Orlando said.

“Good, now can I get my surprise please?” she said in her best little kid voice.

Orlando reached over into his drawer and pulled out a key ring a single key on it. “Before you ask any questions, just take a ride with me real quick.”

Not asking any questions, Kaily went along for the ride. She noticed that they were headed for her tranquility spot, Bal Harbour Beach. She hadn't been here in months and was wondering what he was up to, but still didn't ask questions.

He pulled up to the section where the beach houses were located and threw the car into park. Kaily looked over at him with a raised eyebrow. He pointed in the direction of the house without saying anything. It took it minute for it to register and she looked down at the keys in her hand.

“Oh my God,” she whispered. She looked up at him and he nodded his head. “Ahhhh!” she screamed as she reached over and hugged him tightly before jumping out of the car.

She ran up to the front door and inserted her key in the lock. She was in awe at what she saw. This beach house was beautiful. She couldn't even fully walk through the door before the water works started. She walked around the house with her mouth open.

She knew when they were younger she always told Orlando that she wanted a beach house, but she never thought he would actually do it. That was another reason why she loved him so much. He was always listening when you didn't think he was and he was unpredictable.

“You like?” he asked from behind her.

“Like? I love it, it's beautiful. How did you do it?” she asked.

“You know I have my ways,” he simply put.

She rushed over to him and wrapped her arms around him tightly. “Thank you.”

She could see now that she was going to get her happily ever after, too.

Kaiah stood in front of her floor length mirror examining her body. She was six and a half months pregnant and felt big as a house. She was anxious to meet her daughter. She wondered if she would look like her or Deonte. She took the comb and finished combing out her wrap.

Thanks to her being pregnant and the prenatal vitamins, her hair had grown a lot. Deonte walked up behind her and put his hands on her stomach while lightly biting her neck. “You look beautiful,” he complemented.

Kaiah looked down at her maxi dress then back at him through the mirror. “I look plain and fat as hell.”

“First of all, you're not fat you're just pregnant, and no matter what you wear, you'll always be sexy to me.”

Kaiah playfully rolled her eyes. “Tell me anything, D-Boy.”

“Aye, what I tell you about that?” he said as he slapped her ass.

“What? Everybody else call you that.”

“Everybody else is not my wife either.”

Kaiah just shook her head as she finished getting ready. Today was the day that they would be meeting Orlando’s sister and her family. She was happy that she could be a support system because he had definitely always been one for her.

“Y'all ready?” she asked as she came downstairs.

“I'm always ready,” Deonte answered. “Synai and Tez are already in the car.”

  “Okay, let's go.”

When they pulled up to the address, Kaiah was impressed. The house was beautiful. She had seen some beautiful houses in her days, and this was truly one of the best. She parked in the circular driveway behind Kaily’s car, who had pulled up minutes before she did.

  “This shit bad,” Shauntez said.

  “Ain't it?” Synai agreed.

Everyone got out of the car in awe. Kaison and Angel had pulled up and wore the same look as everyone else.

“Damn,” Kaison said as he grabbed Kaileb’s car seat.

The front door came open and out came Daniella as she happily bounced over to her brother and Kaily. She hugged both of them tightly with a big smile on her face.

“I'm so happy y'all made it,” she gushed.

“We wouldn't have missed it for the world.” Kaily smiled.

  “Hi, everybody,” Daniella spoke.

  “Hi,” everyone said, simultaneously.

“LaLa, this is my family,” Orlando said as he introduced each individual.

“It's so nice to meet all of you, come on in,” she said as she led them to the house.

The inside was just as beautiful as the outside.

“They're all out back,” Daniella informed them.

When they got to the back of the house, it looked like the party was just getting started. She led them over to where four other couples were sitting.

“Okay, y'all this is my crazy but lovable family. Micah and his wife Janae, Ramone and his wife Lani and, last but not least, Neicey and Mykell. That's their beautiful house we just walked through,” Daniella introduced.

“Hey y'all. Ms. Angel, I been meaning to stop by the salon so you could do something to this head of mines, but these kids and my husband have been driving me crazy.” Neicey sighed.

“Whenever you get the time, just come through and I'll hook you up.” Angel smiled.

“Will do. Is that the baby? The last time I seen you, you were pregnant with him.”

“Yes, this is my fat man,” Angel said as she up strapped Kaileb from his car seat and gave him to Neicey.

“Oh lord, her ass done got bit by the baby bug. It won't be long before she ends up pregnant again,” Lani laughed.

“What? Girl, please. I said I was done after Kamora and I meant that.” Neicey frowned.

“Alright fellas, let's get away from all this damn estrogen. You guys are welcome, we’re all family now,” Mykell said to Orlando, Deonte and Kaison.

Before anyone could make a move, Lil Lakey came running over.

“Uncle Lando!” he yelled as he hugged his uncle’s legs. “Where you been?”

“What's up, little man? Uncle just been chilling.” Orlando smiled.

“And this handsome one right here, is my husband Lakey.” Daniella smiled.

“Hey y'all,” Lakey spoke. “What's up man?” he said as he gave Orlando a brotherly hug.

“Okay, now that the greetings are over, men please go away so we can have some girl time,” Lani shooed them off.

“Why you gotta be so bossy? What y'all got to talk about anyways?” Ramone asked.

“Y'all,” she and Neicey answered at the same time.

“I figured,” he said as the all the men walked away.

“Okay y'all, sit down. Let's have some girl talk. I'm a little nosey so who all is married?” Neicey asked.

  “I'm engaged,” Angel answ
ered.

“And I'm the married one,” Kaiah spoke.

“Marriage is a beautiful thing.” Janae smiled.

  “Sometimes,” Kaiah nervously smiled.

“Uh oh, please don't tell me there's trouble in paradise.” Neicey pouted.

“As of lately, no. But less than two months ago it was,” Kaiah answered.

“You have the right one here,” Lani said as she pointed at Neicey. “Her and my brother have literally been to hell and back but they made it.”

  “Really?”

“Girl, we've been through cheating, crazy exes, estranged baby mamas, rapes, beatings, miscarriages, kidnappings, murder, crazy stalking lawyers and more,” Neicey said in one breath.

“Wow,” Angel, Kaily and Kaiah said at the same time.

“But we conquered it all and I love him like there's no tomorrow.” Neicey smiled as she looked over her shoulder at her husband.

Hearing all that made Kaiah look at her relationship in a new light. She and Deonte hadn't been through half the shit that Neicey and Mykell had, and she was grateful for that. If they could go through all that and still love each other, then she knew that she and Deonte would make it through all the minor shit they had been through.

“Damn, we have some beautiful women over there don't we?” Micah smiled.

“Hell yea. I say the baddest in MIA,” Mykell agreed.

“We were truly blessed,” Lakey said.

“Fuck yea, and to think I almost fucked it all up,” Mykell said as he shook his head and reminisced about everything he and Neicey had been through.

“Man, I'm with you on that one,” said Deonte. “I'm still trying to make up for my dirt.”

“That shit ain't easy man. My wife had me damn near begging and shit. Not that I'm complaining, because I did whatever I had to do to get back in her good graces,” Mykell said.

“This nigga right here fucked up more than a little bit. We didn't think Neicey would ever take his black ass back.” Micah shook his head.

“Especially when she left him for that other nigga,” Ramone said, causing Mykell to give him a side eye.

“Let's not speak of the dead.”

“Well, she didn't leave me for another nigga, but she damn sure played get back and fucked another one.” Everyone let out a whistle.
