“That’s it, boy… suck my dragon cock. You want my nectar, don’t you?” Tylendel taunted.
Marco sucked harder and faster, desperate for the meal that would be the most delicious thing he’d eaten in a while. Tylendel closed his eyes and I knew he was going to cum soon. If he wanted to, he could last longer, but he knew time was of the essence. With each passing second, I could feel strength returning to my limbs as renewed energy flowed through me. I only needed to feed on blood now, having satisfied my need for sex.
I decided to give Tylendel something only I could. I stood up and walked over to him. He looked up at me, his gorgeous green eyes challenging as if he knew what I was going to do. I smiled, because I was daring him to stop me.
When I say so, bite him, Marco, I commanded my son using our telepathic link.
Are you sure, Father?
Yes.
Hell yeah, was Marco’s enthusiastic reply. Together we would feed our bloodlust on Tylendel as well as give him one hell of an orgasm.
I grabbed a handful of Ty’s hair, yanked his head back and struck. Now!
“Ah!” Tylendel yelped, and I knew Marco had sank his fangs into his dick the same time I struck his neck. “Oooh, shiiiit.”
I loved hearing Tylendel moan in pleasure the way he was. His moans grew louder, his breathing became more rampant, and I knew he was about to shoot. The muscles in his neck grew tense and he roared. A second later, Marco moaned, and I knew he was enjoying a meal of both blood and spunk, all from a powerful dragon. My son would be ready to slay some wolves after this. As for me, I was savoring the fiery flavor of Ty’s amazing blood. Better than any human or wolf, dragons had the most delicious blood; and the older they were, the more exquisite it was. Once I had taken my fill and pulled back, I was fully satisfied. The puncture wounds I’d left in his neck were healing and in a few seconds, would be gone. I stood there and watched Tylendel spasming in the chair, his face contorted in pleasure while he continued to feed my son.
Marco was hungry for it all, too, growling like a starving puppy gnawing at his mom’s tit. Only Marco was savagely sucking Tylendel’s cock for every drop he could get. It seemed to go on far longer than any orgasm should, but with dragons, none of that mattered. They could give you a quick orgasm, or one that would test your sanity and fortitude. That was what made them dangerous. They could render you helpless with their will and sexual powers. I watched as Marco took his last swallow before slipping away from Tylendel’s cock and falling to the floor like a fattened leach. He was grinning like an idiot and probably would be for a few minutes as he floated on what I knew was one hell of a bloodhaze.
Meanwhile, Tylendel was recovering far faster than most dragons could have. Made me curious about how old he really was. If I were to guess, I’d suspect he was over three thousand years old. I remembered him telling me when I was younger that he was far older than my Father. Ara was a little over twenty-five hundred years old. For Tylendel to say such a thing must put him way up there.
“Thank you, my friend,” I said.
He smiled. “We may have to battle today. Better to have you pumped up on dragon’s blood than anything else.”
“Speaking of which, we should join the others,” I said.
He nodded and slipped his cock back into his pants.
“Get up, Marco. Shake it off,” I commanded. I almost hated having to ruin his fun, but we needed to get it together and I still had to check in on my other sons.
“Ahhh fuck, that was amazing,” Marco purred as he rose to his feet with an unsteady gait. I grabbed his arm to help him gain his footing. “I’m good now. Thank you, Father.”
I knew he was thanking me for more than just catching him. I smiled and nodded. “Go to Grand Park. I’ll meet you there.”
“Yes, Father.” He half-walked, half-stumbled over to his pile of clothes, dressed quickly, then left using his vampire speed. To the human eye, they wouldn’t have seen anything but the door open. I could see every movement and was proud at how strong my son was. I also knew he was looking forward to another battle, he was a warrior, after all, and he lived for nights like these.
“What about the other vampires in this territory?” Tylendel asked.
“My son, their General, has made sure they are all prepared.”
“You raise your sons well, Théoden. Dante is still so very young, yet he has accepted his life and is living it.”
“Because this is the life he’s always wanted. It’s easy to conform when you realize how happy you are as opposed to what you had before. It was a lesson you and Ara taught me long ago.”
Tylendel smiled. “That is true. Why don’t we go check on your other sons? I hope you don’t mind, but I did have my way with them.”
“Even if I did mind, would it have mattered to you?” I asked.
He laughed as he rose from the chair and slapped me on the back. “No.”
“I figured.” I shook my head and walked out of the room with Tylendel following behind me. I made my way to the room where I knew my sons were probably still sleeping. “What about your pup? Will you let him fight?”
He didn’t answer me right away and appeared to be thinking about the question. “Yes, I’ll let him fight.”
“Why?”
“Because this is his pack. To not let him fight would only punish him and he’s done nothing wrong.”
“Interesting. I’m surprised you’d risk him being killed.”
“We are all risking death as this enemy has hybrid and regular werewolves with him. But to keep Giorgio out of harm’s way while his father fights for his pack wouldn’t be fair to him.”
I put my hand on the doorknob and paused. I turned to my friend. “You’re in love with him.”
“If I am?”
“It’s good.” I had my sons to keep me company always. But Tylendel, he’d had no one. To think a wolf was the missing piece of the puzzle, the one being that could make Tylendel fall in love.
“Enough about me. Let’s wake your sons,” Tylendel said, not wanting to discuss the matter further, I could tell. It was probably something he was still coming to terms with. He’d taken Giorgio as a slave. A pup he would train and punish accordingly. Someone he hadn’t planned on giving any privileges to. But somehow, Giorgio became something more to Tylendel. Something precious, and that dynamic was a thing of the past now.
“I can take care of my sons. Why don’t you tend to Giorgio?”
Tylendel nodded. “Donovan should be free of all dragon venom.”
“Thank you.”
He patted me on the shoulder before walking off to his bedroom. I opened the door and saw the condition my children were in. Noel was sprawled naked on the floor, dried cum coating his body. Donovan was on the bed, dead to the world, as were my other sons, Bruce and Derek. Both were laying on Donovan, his cock still in their hands and covered with dried cum. The smell of sex still lingered in the air along with the energy that Tylendel had produced to put them all in this state. Normally, this time of night, my sons would all be awake and probably fucking, but they were incapacitated. I was going to have to will them awake.
RISE! I mentally commanded them. Their eyes opened and they each rose with a quickness that might leave a human dizzy and confused. They were alert, a testament to their strength and devotion to me.
“Father, are you okay?” Bruce asked as he climbed out of the bed.
“I’m fine. You all need to prepare yourselves. We have to join the others,” I said. “Get ready now.” I looked at Donovan, who was climbing out of the bed. “Don, I hope I don’t have to punish you again.”
He shook his head, his eyes downcast in shame. “I’m sorry, Father. You won’t.”
“Good.”
They entered the bathroom at the same time. I sat on the bed and waited. Again, I tried to call Deacon and got no answer. I wondered if he was dead or if something else had happened. I wished I had the phone number of his mate or second in command. If Kendrick ha
d killed him, that was a good thing to me. With Tylendel and Vex here, I felt even more positive about our chances to take Kendrick out for good. My sons emerged from the bathroom, clean of cum. They dressed quickly.
“You’ll feed from Josef’s wolves when we get to the location,” I told them. I knew they were hungry and with Josef’s wolves being immune to dragon venom, my children could suck their fill from their veins anytime they wanted.
My only focus was making sure I was the one to take Kendrick out. By killing him, I could have his wolves pledge their loyalty to Josef and claim all the territory he’d won. His dragons, well… I guessed Tylendel would know what to do about them. They would need a King, and I supposed increasing his army would be compensation enough for Evander. Either way, things were looking up.
CHAPTER TWELVE
Deacon
I laughed as I looked at my caller ID. Théoden had called twice since sundown and Josef had called twice as well. I continued to ignore them as I didn’t want to give them any chance to warn Evander. As far as they were concerned, they could just assume Kendrick was coming for them next. I’d let Théoden know something in an hour. That would have given Kendrick enough time, hopefully, to make it to dragon territory. I didn’t give two shits about those fuckers, and if they all fell under the control of a King that was in alliance with me and not Théoden, well, that was good news for me.
I mean, this night couldn’t have turned out any better with Elliot, my best friend and second in command, being the mate of that powerful motherfucker. What a twist of events. The gods were surely smiling down on me. The only bad thing was that I’d lost many good wolves. The silver lining in that was most of them were from Selena’s pack. I had put them on the front lines, making sure Kendrick’s army would have to go through them to get to my original pack.
I was busy coordinating the handling of their remains at the moment. When so many died at one time, it was customary to burn the remains. Setting them each on a pyre and taking the ashes and burying them in one mass grave to consecrate the land they fought and died for. I would do that, because they’d earned it.
“Total number dead is one hundred and fifty-six,” Elijah said as he approached me. “I’m just happy you’re not among them.”
I turned to him and kissed him. “I feel the same way. That bastard almost got me, though. I could sense him coming in fast, but I had my back turned, dealing with one of his wolves. Had he not got distracted by Elliot…” I let the thought fade away, because just thinking about my demise gave me the chills. I had enough respect and fear of death to try to avoid it at all costs. But when it came time to fight, I never ran from one. I just did whatever was necessary to make sure I came out alive.
“Can you believe Elliot found his mate?”
I sighed. “It’s pretty amazing, and what a mate. Jesus Christ, that motherfucker is scary strong. I think he might be able to take Théoden out too. Which is good for us.”
“Is that why you haven’t told them what happened yet?”
I laughed. “Part of it, yes. All it will do is make him more suspicious of me knowing that somehow, I’m protected from Kendrick. He’ll know then that I won’t come to his aid because of my unique position with Kendrick. I’ll call him and let him know what I know in an attempt to make it seem like I’m still on his side.”
Elijah chuckled. “Aren’t you?”
“In a manner, yes.”
“Playing it slick as always, I see.” Elijah shook his head.
“Do you disagree?”
“No. You don’t owe Théoden anything. He wouldn’t even help us, so fuck him. If he had bothered to send just one wolf or vampire son, he’d already know what was going on, but he didn’t. Asshole was probably hoping we’d all be dead.”
I kissed Elijah again, because he was truly the other half of me. “That’s what I believe too. I bet he thinks he can take Kendrick, and with Josef’s help, he might be able to do that. With me out of the way, he’ll have all of wolf territory to call his own.”
“Something we know he wants.”
I nodded. “Over my dead body, and now that won’t happen. But that’s why I have to play this carefully. I can’t betray our alliance. If Théoden does manage to defeat Kendrick, I need him to continue to honor that alliance. We’re no match for his vampires and Josef’s wolves and whatever alliance he’ll have with the dragons. So, in an hour, I’m going to call him, sound sincere, and give him all the information I can.”
“He’s going to want to know why you didn’t call sooner,” Elijah said.
“Well, shit… I just manage to survive getting my ass handed to me by sheer luck. I’d hope he’d give me a pass. Also, I can let him know that I’m surrounded by Kendrick’s army and was able to sneak in a call. That’ll keep him from asking too many questions if it seems like I can’t stay on the phone long,” I said.
Elijah smiled. “Sometimes that devious brain of yours scares me. I’m just happy we’re mated, because I’d hate to be your enemy.”
I slapped his ass. “Your mind entices me. By the way, where’s Elliot?”
“Checking on John.”
I frowned for a second as I struggled to remember who John was, then I did. Slade, Elliot’s boytoy. “Ahh, yes… his hot piece of ass. I wonder what’s going to happen there now that Kendrick is in the picture?”
“If Kendrick dies, then it won’t matter.”
“Honestly, I’m hoping he lives. When he and Elliot mate, Elliot will become stronger. He’ll become immune to dragon venom and fire.”
“Are you worried that he’ll challenge you for the pack when that happens?” Elijah asked and the possibility hadn’t even crossed my mind.
Now, he was giving me something to be concerned about. I didn’t think Elliot would betray me that way, but with a mate like Kendrick, I knew firsthand how powerful that bond was. How two became one in spite of differences. Could Kendrick one day convince Elliot to do the unthinkable? Just to gain more wolves? With my wolves pledging loyalty to them, sharing in their power, they would all become hybrids or at least immune too. According to Théoden, that was what happened to Josef’s wolves when he mated with Dante.
“I can’t ever let that thought worry me. Elliot needs to always know that he’s my friend. If he thinks I doubt him, it might push him in that direction and we don’t want or need that, understand?” I looked at Elijah, making sure he was getting where I was coming from.
He nodded. “I understand.”
“Good.” I took another deep breath, then released it. “I’m going to go talk to Elliot. See where his head is at.”
“Yeah, that’s a good idea. I know you know him best, but finding his mate under these circumstances was bound to rattle him, at least a little. I know he’s a pillar of ass kicking, but finding one’s mate isn’t anything to brush off. I know.”
I had to agree. I remembered the feeling I felt when I had come upon him. He was human, and I knew he sensed something, but would have had no idea what that sensation meant. For me, it was apparent that Eli was mine. Théoden had no idea he’d done me a great service by giving Elijah to me as payment. As far as I was concerned, I’d paid him back for that ten-fold, because I had no idea that by handing Dante over to him, I’d be giving him the holy grail of hybrid possibility. Anyway, finding one’s mate was life-altering, that was for sure.
“Finish up here, okay?” I said, motioning to my wolves who were still building wooden pyres for our dead.
“I will.”
I left him to search out Elliot, who was actually sitting by himself poolside at my indoor pool. I joined him, taking off my shoes and socks and sticking my feet into the heated water. “What’s on your mind?” I asked.
“Is this really happening? Is that guy really my mate? That’s what I’ve been thinking,” he said.
“Only you know for sure.”
“He is. Now that we’ve met, something inside of me has changed. I just don’t understand why it’s him.”
I laughed. “I bet Elijah felt the same way about me. The fates don’t make mistakes when it comes to choosing wolf mates, Elliot. We mate for life, and I’ve yet to see mates who were at odds with each other to the point where they hated each other. Every example I’ve ever seen, there was nothing but love and respect and commitment. Really, I’m happy for you, and happy for myself. Had he not been your mate, things could have turned out much differently.”
“That’s what makes this shit so hard to accept. I hate his ass for trying to kill you,” Elliot said.
That meant a lot to me. “Well, Josef tried to kill Théoden, but that didn’t stop him from mating with Dante. This is our world. We kill for power and territory, always have. Something good came from this battle and because he’s your mate, you can gain in power. I just hope we always remain friends.”
He turned to me then. “I’d never betray you, not for him or anyone.”
“I know that. I also know that the bond is powerful, Elliot. It changes you the closer you get to your mate. Look at Elijah and me. Remember how we started out?”
He nodded. “He wanted to kill you.”
I laughed. “As if he had any chance in doing that. Still, the more time we spent together, the closer we became, and look at us now. If Kendrick still wants to kill me, he might try to turn you against me.” I knew I had said I didn’t want to put those thoughts in Elliot’s mind, but the more I thought about it, I knew I’d be remiss if I didn’t warn him of the power of the mating bond. I needed to know where his emotions were. Elijah was the one to point the possibility out, and I couldn’t ignore his wisdom.
“If this bond is as powerful as you say, then you will never have to worry. I don’t want control of your pack, and I don’t want him to have it. I just don’t want to leave my pack. I’m happy to be your second, Deacon.”
