Loving Necessity: The Complete Necessity, Texas Collection Page 25

by Margo Bond Collins

The embrace was perfect—nothing about it was a drunken mess. In fact, even as his craving for her swirled through his veins, his mind was absolutely clear.

We fit together. Like a perfect puzzle.

Gently, Cash pushed her backward through her now-open front door and kicked it shut behind him. He wasn’t entirely sure what had sparked this sudden desire for him, but he wasn’t about to complain.

His arms moved to wrap around her waist as he pulled her closer to him, his lips pushing down against hers to deepen the kiss even further.

His tongue slipped from between his lips and flicked at hers, demanding entry. Her mouth opened to accept him into her, her head dropping back as he took over, the heat of their kiss moving through him in waves of arousal.

He felt himself grow hard, and a soft moan escaped his lips as Sierra’s hand moved down to slide over the length of him.

Sierra flashed a wicked smile, sinking to her knees in front of him, her hands resting on her lap as she moved forward to take his zipper gently in her mouth before pulling it down slowly. Cash watched, transfixed, as she reached up to undo his belt as well, letting his pants fall to the floor in a pool around his ankles before tugging his boxers down.

Her mouth slowly opened so her tongue could slip out and drag gently across the head of his cock teasingly. She let out a soft moan at the taste, making his cock throb and pulse. She enveloped the first few inches of him, pursing her lips and sucking on the head, then sliding down to take all of him in her mouth. He gasped, and she glided up and down, and then gazed up at him, trailing gentle kisses along his length. “Mm, you feel nice,” she murmured, gripping the base of his cock with her hand and rubbing her cheek up and down the path she’d just kissed.

He groaned from how soft her cheek felt and pulsed against her as her mouth sliding onto his cock until the tip of it pressed against the back of her throat. His cock started to thicken and throb inside of her mouth, his balls aching.

Oh, God. If she kept this up, he wouldn’t be able to last nearly as long as he’d like to. She pursed her lips around the head and sucked even harder than before, her tongue flicking across the slit and almost sending him over the edge.

Without a word, Sierra slid him out of her mouth and tugged him toward the living room toward the sofa. Before she sat down, he pulled up her dress, revealing the soaked crotch of her panties. Hooking his thumbs in the elastic, he pulled the scrap of fabric down. He ran his hand over her, and she let out a throaty moan. Taking her hands, Cash pulled her down to sitting as he took his turn to kneel before her. Gently, he pushed her knees apart and leaned into her, letting his tongue circle her clit.

Sierra melted into the cushions, tilting forward to give him better access. The taste of her made him harder than ever, and as he slid first one, then two fingers inside her, the hot wetness of her nearly undid him. When she bucked around him as she came, it was all he could do not to plunge himself into her right then.

He was glad he hadn’t when, a few seconds later, she stood and turned around so her back was to him, twisting her head to kiss him and offering him the back of her neck. He ran his lips along her shoulders, savoring the shivers he sent through her. Then she leaned forward just a little, and he realized she was against the arm of couch.

Gently, one hand in the small of her back, he pushed her forward until she was bent all the way over. Her voice was breathy as she gazed back at him over her shoulder. “Don’t forget a condom,” she said urgently, seeming to have broken out of her lustful fog just enough to remember the need to be responsible. “Do you have one?”

“Oh, yes.” Cash went back to his pants and retrieved his wallet from the back pocket. He unrolled it and slid it over himself deftly, moving up behind her and pulling her back toward him as his hips surged forward to sink his shaft inside of her effortlessly. Sierra let out a scream of pleasure as her legs buckled slightly.

Her insides clenched down around him, the muscles rippling and clenching along his condom-covered girth. He took his time allowing his shaft to disappear inside of her. His hands tightened gently on her waist as he began to pump, every insistent thrust of his cock shaking her body. She had grabbed a pillow and stuffed it beneath her stomach to give her some extra support, her head rising and her back arching each time his hips thrust forward. “Yes,” she growled, her voice hoarse with arousal. “More. Please, more.”

Her words sent a shudder through him, and he ground his cock around inside of her, the tip scraping against a soft patch of flesh inside her that made her whole body buck in response.

He pulled his cock out of her suddenly, and then gently tugged on her so she would stand up. Moving her over toward one of the walls, he lifted her up, pressing her back against it. While allowing her weight to rest on his upper thighs, he reached down to grip the base of his cock and guided it back in line with her entrance.

She groaned as she wrapped her legs around his waist and dropped down onto him. This limited how far he could pull out during his thrusts, but it also made it so that his cock was insistently rubbing against her innermost parts each time. She bit her bottom lip, her eyes half-lidded as she looked back into his, pleasure shining in her eyes. It didn’t take long for them to find a tempo. As he thrust inside her, she bit his bottom lip and he felt his balls beginning to clench up against his body. Her insides fluttered more rapidly around his shaft as she approached her limits as well.

Suddenly, she let out a cry as her inner muscles clenched down around him like a vise. He let out a groan as his cock began to throb inside her, his orgasm rolling up the shaft and into her. She whimpered and trembled against him as she came, and they clung to one another for a long moment afterward.

  “That was amazing,” he whispered.

She rested her forehead against his shoulder. “It really was.”

Her legs shook as he let her down, supporting her as her legs threatened to buckle out from under her.

“Would you like to stay the night?” she asked shyly, obviously not used to asking someone to do so.

“I’d like that,” Cash said with a smile, his arm looping around her waist. “Why don’t you show me where your bedroom is?”

  “Right this way.”

Feeling the blood already returning to his cock, Cash followed.

He really hoped they weren’t entirely finished for the night.

  Chapter 4

Sierra woke with a pounding headache, the morning light piercing her eyeballs. She buried her head under her sheets, trying to piece together why she felt so terrible.

  Right. Cash Crawford.

He’d walked her to her door. A dozen thoughts had scrambled around in her head. What to do next? Should she bid him goodnight and risk never seeing this Adonis ever again? Or should she invite him up for a drink and risk getting rejected because she’d made a complete fool out of herself?

And she’d decided to bid him goodnight—if she happened to stumble upon him in the future, when she was significantly less drunk, she would see if he was interested then.

It had been a reasonable decision.

But she hadn’t been feeling very reasonable that night. And then she’d locked onto his deep chocolate eyes.

She remembered exactly what happened during the next hour. And the one after that. And...

Someone next to her stirred and she froze.

“Good morning,” said a voice behind her.

  She turned around and gasped.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you,” laughed Cash.

“I—I didn’t know you were still here.”

Cash stood up and stretched. Though some parts of the night before were a blur, she definitely remembered how great it felt to hold onto his huge muscles as she rode him.

  “Oh, God.”

“What’s wrong?” asked Cash, turning around to face her as he pulled his jeans and shirt on.

Again, “Oh, God,” was all she could say. Her face flushed red and she rapidly sho
ok her head.

“Are you okay? Do you want me to get some water?” Cash sounded really concerned.

She buried her face in her hands. The mattress dipped as Cash sat down next to her and began to rub the small of her back. She flinched away and groaned.

“This isn’t me,” she said. “This isn’t—I don’t do this. God, I can’t believe I... Why would I do this? I’m not a—”

“Hey, calm down,” he assured her. A comforting smile grew on his face. “It’s normal. A lot of people hook up with strangers at some point. It’s just part of life. You live and learn.”

Nothing that came out of his mouth was any use to her. Apparently she hadn’t learned.

“Look, thanks for last night and all,” she said to him. “But I need to get to work. So maybe...” She let her voice trail off, hoping he’d take the hint.

Besides, she really needed a shower and didn’t want a stranger wandering around her living room while she was otherwise occupied.

And that was as far ahead as she could think at the moment. Damage control with Sammy—and anyone else who’d been at Shooters—would have to wait.

Shower first. Then coffee. Then work.

  This hangover is killing me.

“Alright,” Cash said. “I can leave, if you really want me to—”

“I do, yes, please.” That probably hadn’t sounded as polite as it could have, but it was the best she could manage under the circumstances.

Without another word, Cash left, shutting the door behind him. Sierra was left alone, naked in her bed.

She couldn’t believe what she had come to.

And she knew exactly what Necessity’s gossip-mongers would say. She could practically hear them now—I can’t believe she would give herself up to a stranger like that. That’s even worse than what she did to Jimmy. She should be ashamed of herself.

Ashamed didn’t even begin to cover it.

Despite what had happened with Jimmy, Sierra had always considered herself someone with class and pride.

Last night, clearly all of that had been thrown out of the window.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that she’d made a huge mistake. Sure, he seemed nice, but really she knew nothing about him. He could still be a serial killer for all she knew.

Or worse, someone with a foot fetish. Ugh.

No, she swore to herself. Never again.

She would never make the same mistake again. No more one night stands. No more sleeping with guys she barely knew.

And she would definitely avoid that Cash guy if she ever bumped into him again.

DESPITE BEING DESPERATE to remain buried under her comforter for the remainder of the day, Sierra forced herself to get out of bed.

Work. I have to go to work.

A text from Gracie, the secretary she shared with the other tenants of the building housing her office space and the woman she was training to become a realtor, finally got her moving: You have an appointment with a new client at 9:00 this morning.

After her shower, she dressed in a tight black blazer, smart black slacks and matching three-inch heels. She gazed at herself in the mirror. Although her outfit was adequate, her face screamed hangover.

She’d washed off the makeup she’d worn the day before, but her eyes were bloodshot. She couldn’t disguise the exhaustion and regret that shone out from them, either, despite putting on a fresh face of makeup.

The office was barely a ten-minute walk from her house though she stumbled a little as she moved down the sidewalk in the bright morning sunshine.

Thank God for sunglasses in Texas.

Her vision was hazy and her head still banged like a drum. Even the click-clack of her heels on the pavement caused her to wince after every step. She strode along the sidewalk with such an expression of distress that some of her fellow townspeople couldn’t help but comment.

“You okay, Sierra?” someone asked as she passed Maryann’s, a cafe downtown. She’d been staring straight ahead, focusing on getting to work, so it took her a second to figure out who’d spoken. Colton, a former classmate of hers and the local Fire Marshal—despite a recent minor scandal involving a fire on a movie set in town.

Another billionaire-instigated problem. That’s what we get for letting them film here.

She scowled at the thought, but then her face softened into a smile.

She couldn’t bear for anybody to see her in such a state—but she also knew she had to keep up appearances nonetheless. She was headed to work and she couldn’t afford to be anything but in top form when she got there.

  Especially with a new client.

“I’m good, how are you?” she responded. Her smile grew wider as she pretended to be genuinely interested.

“I’m... good,” he replied, uneasily. “You just seem different today, is all.”

“Different?” Sierra suddenly felt flustered. Did he know? Did he watch her stagger home last night with a stranger, and then allow the stranger to come inside her home?

Oh, no. So many people around the neighborhood could have seen her do that last night. She would be the talk of the office. A laughingstock. More than ever, she wanted to turn around and dive back into bed.

  I’m such an idiot.

“You don’t look so good,” he said finally. “You look green.”

Sierra chuckled, relieved. She could handle people thinking she looked sick. Being sick was a normal occurrence.

Sleeping with strangers definitely wasn’t, at least not in this town.

“Just a little under the weather today. Nothing I can’t handle.”

“Okay, well, glad to hear it. Have a good day, Sierra,” he said, smiling. Then he moved inside the cafe and Sierra felt a weight fall off her shoulders.

No one knows what happened. It’s going to be okay.

WHEN SHE ARRIVED IN her office, she was immediately greeted by Gracie Smith, a wide grin spread over her face, showing off her pearly white teeth.

Gracie was Sierra’s partner in crime, her best friend in town, and worked as a secretary for all four offices in this building.

She was also incredibly thin and beautiful as a model, but as awkward as they came. The number of inappropriate jokes she’d made to unamused clients was enough to fill a book.

She was charming though and Sierra loved her despite her inability to keep from saying whatever she thought.

“Guess who’s here!” squealed Gracie. Her voice was high pitched, one that people considered either entirely adorable or utterly annoying. Her excitement was evident—she was jumping up and down like a rabbit.

  “New client?”

Gracie nodded and leaned forward, whispering conspiratorially. “Another billionaire.”

Despite her own anxiety, Sierra couldn’t help but smile at Gracie’s delight. She wanted to jump up and down too, but settled on clapping quietly, preparing herself. She took a deep breath in and blew it out again. Clients like this had to be handled carefully.

“Business is booming lately!” Gracie declared. “It’s amazing.”

“But also has the potential to go completely wrong, remember,” Sierra reminded her. “We don’t want anyone who’s going to make the town too touristy.”

“Sierra, you’re missing the point. He’s a billionaire, for crying out loud. Charm a guy like him and you’re in for a life of luxury.”

“I don’t sleep with clients,” said Sierra with pride.

I only sleep with strangers, apparently—but she pushed this invasive thought out of her head.

“Anyway, I don’t think this guy’s likely to make it too touristy. Apparently he’s old Jerry Goodman’s nephew. Inherited every bit of his money.”

Trust Gracie to get all the gossip before Sierra even stepped foot in the office. “So more likely to build factories than dude ranches, huh?”

“Yep. Still...maybe slip him your phone number, wait until after you’ve sealed the deal, and then he’ll take you for dinner,” smirked Gracie.

/>   Sometimes Sierra was unsure whether her friend was actually joking. But for Gracie’s sake, she liked to think she was.

“Unlike you, I want to actually fall in love with a guy. Not with his bank account.”

“Love, shmove. If true love existed, we would’ve found it already. Better just dive in now and grab what’s hot.”

Sierra arched an eyebrow. “The billionaire? I doubt he’s hot.” With the exception of Tor Edwards—and she’d gone to elementary school with him, so he didn’t count—the only billionaires she’d ever met were men well into their sixties with wrinkles galore who tried to flirt too much. The only thing they had going for them was the fact that they had money.

“No, wait until you meet this guy. He’s not like the others. He’s hot. More like Tor. He’s dreamy.”

“Dreamy?” laughed Sierra. “What are you, a fourth grader?”

“Sierra, I swear to you—this guy is the definition of dreamy.”

“I’ll believe it when I see it.”

  “Well, come take a look.”

Sierra gathered her clipboards together as Gracie walked with her to the back office where the client waited. When they reached Sierra’s single-room office, Gracie paused for effect.

  “Come on,” Sierra urged.

“No, you need to prepare yourself for this body—”

“Gracie. We’ve got work to do.”

“All right, all right,” Gracie said. She opened the door.

  And Sierra froze.

Because sitting at the desk, with his huge chocolate eyes scanning through the trinkets and photos on the wall, was the guy that Sierra swore that she would never see again.

She hadn’t expected to bump into him again so soon. She hadn’t expected him to turn up at her work the next morning.

And she certainly hadn’t expected him to be a billionaire.

  Cash Crawford.

  Isn’t that just perfect?

  Chapter 5

“No, there must be some mistake,” a feminine voice said from the doorway. “This is a prank, right?”
