Port Elizabeth had people in the streets fighting for their cause. This town was smaller than Cape Town. Adults and children were fighting for their life inside or outside. This town didn’t seem as overrun with animals as most. The people had hand guns and they were shooting any animals alive. They ignored the orders to stay inside and hide. These were a proud people. The same kinds of animals were in this town. The locusts were the worst. They overcame all people by choking them.They swarmed in the billions. Elephants were overturning cars with people in them, and zebras were stampeding all who stood in their way.They would crush any humans that were in the streets. Mice and termites were infesting the buildings and homes, choking or eating alive any humans that were there. There were a few humans that escaped out to sea. They got snuffed out by killer whales or sharks. It was more of a war zone here in Port Elizabeth because the people ignored the orders and decided to fight. They lost! The lights in the sky helped the animals to win by vaporizing anyone not found by the animals. The lights hovered and moved on in two days. The animals kept watch over the town.
The rest of the coastal towns and cities had the same fate as these two bigger cities on the South African Coast.The humans were starting to disappear from the planet steadily.
January 29,2013 Edmonton Canada 10:00 A.M.
The streets of Edmonton were very barren without too many people outside.The buildings had people inside them. Most of the people were hiding either from the animals outside or the lights in the sky. The lights then covered most of the city buildings and vaporized most of the people. It was done within a day. There were no people in Edmonton within a day of the animals overrunning the city. The animals which were mostly mammals did the job and kept vigilant after the lights left the city.Even though Edmonton was a city that was spread out, the animals were just overwhelming. Other cities in the country of Canada had the same dilemma as well. The lights moved on...
February 1,2013 Moscow Russia 9:00 A.M.
The Kremlin in Moscow like other cities was under siege. At the Kremlin military personnel ignored the general order to hide and survive. Military soldiers were out in the streets fighting the animals. They already figured out planes and tanks were out of the question even though some personnel tried either. The ones that tried were overtaken by animals usually mice rats or some other mammal. The leaders were in a bunker 100 feet below the main dome of the Kremlin complex. The Russian president was with his staff with candles in the bunker listening to the gunfire and minor explosions above the ground. They just sat there and tried to distract themselves the best they could. For every animal that was killed above ground there were thousands of mice and rats attacking and killing soldiers. The soldiers were outnumbered thousands to one. Eventually the soldiers were overwhelmed and overtaken. Their bodies lie lifeless on the ground. The mice and rats tried to get in the buildings of the Kremlin.All kinds of birds had dive bombed through windows on the top levels and made access ways for the rest of the animals.Birds of all kinds were flocking to the lower levels. The mice rats, and other mammals followed. The mysterious lights were converging on all the other buildings except the main domed building of the Kremlin. The animals descended to the lower levels with great quickness. The rest of the buildings in the city were being pulverized into rubble by the lights. No one was being transported just vaporized. The animals killed any people in the higher levels of the main building. The Russian president and his staff could hear rustling outside the doors of the bunker.”I thought this door was sealed and not able to be penetrated,”the president exclaimed.”Apparently not,”said one of his staff in a frightened voice. “Gather any weapons,”the president demanded.”We won’t go without a fight.”Most of the city lie in ruins by now from the lights. The rest of the main building had been ravaged by any animals.
The people in the bunker could hear the birds thumping all the walls of the bunker. They also heard rustling outside all the walls. This bunker was an older one made out of wood and plaster.It was solid or so the people thought.All of a sudden holes started to form in the walls. They focused their flashlights on the holes. TERMITES! They started swarming by the millions. The mice and rats followed. The people started to throw anything at the holes where they were entering. It was to no advantage. They still kept coming. They eventually suffocated or ate alive the people in the bunker. The lights outside finished off any people left in the buildings or roaming the streets of the city. It was cold and only animals left. They thrived and dwelled around the streets of the city. Many suburbs around Moscow ended up having the same fate as Moscow. The country of Russia suffered the same fate as well.The lights moved on...

The foursome ran out of food but raided the other places in the complex.They were lucky there was no one home anywhere in the complex. They were either gone or dead. They had enough food for a month and rationed it orderly. There were many more incidents of people dying outside their complex. The animals were also getting braver and closer to Mike’s place. The most populated city in the world was a city of ruins and rubble.Millions of animals mainly mammals and birds converged on the dead bodies of people everywhere. There were still very small numbers of people hiding in the buildings around the city. The mysterious lights took care of those people by vaporizing them into thin air. Within two days there wasn’t anyone around the city. The animals stood vigilant and roamed the streets. The rest of the country had the same fate. The lights moved on...

The city with the most increased population in the world stood barren of people outside in the streets. Only animals were around the streets of the city. Insects and mice were swarming in the houses and the buildings of the city. People were hiding in their houses or buildings but were either flushed outside by insects swarming or mice infesting the houses or buildings.The lights either vaporized any survivors in the buildings or the people got flushed out into the streets and they were vaporized as well. Some people were eaten alive by the mice, or they were choked to death by the insects. The surrounding towns met the same fate as Mexico City. The animals were there and the people were gone.There were many animals around the country moving and swarming in the trillions.They easily descended on all the towns and cities in Mexico. The thousands of beams of light moved around the country of Mexico with no signs of stopping...
February5,2013 Cairo Egypt 10:00A.M.
Along with the rest of the cities and towns in Africa the nighty city of Cairo was being overtaken as well with animals of all kinds overrunning the city.There were large concentrations of lights on the major buildings in Cairo. Most of these buildings were government buildings that were having top officials being vaporized by the lights. The animals were staying clear of these buildings and concentrating their efforts on the people in the streets or the people hiding in their houses. Even reptiles were getting into the act of vanquishing people in the city. Crocodiles and monitor lizards were tearing up humans outside on the run. Elephants and other large mammals were taking care of people in small houses by demolishing them and any people in them. Mighty swarms of locusts and grasshoppers were choking people to death everywhere next to the city limits. The great deltas were littered with wrecked boats and debris. Only animals flourished in the waters of Cairo. Within three days all people were gone in Cairo and the lights were roaming the rest of the continent of Africa.All along the Nile River people were gone and animals remained.The lights continued to roam the rest of the continent of Africa. Billions of mammals and birds were roaming the streets of Sydney.Millions of mice and rats had infested the buildings and homes of people. The rebels out in the streets were attacked by kicking kangaroos and other mammals or vanquished by lights. The people in their houses or other buildings got vaporized by the lights. The streets were cluttered with dead human bodies everywhere. The mice and rats feasted on some the rest were left alone or disintegrated by the lights.The rest of Australia was plagued by the same fate. All parts of the country were under siege from all types of animals. The poor people in this country were hiding in their huts and other shelters. They didn’t have much defense from the onslaught of insects and rats infesting the countryside. In the bigger cities they were barren of people from the lights that vaporized them or the bigger animals that attacked them. The Komodo Dragons were doing the most damage to people in this country.The lights moved across the country quickly. Within two days all of Indonesia was rid of humans. February 8,2013 Washington D.C. Pentagon Bunker U.S.A.10:00A.M.
The president was rather calm despite all that was going on around them. They could hear scratching on the perimeter of the bunker walls. The president thought the bunker was sealed tight. They could also hear explosions on the surface which shook the bunker. The door of the bunker was solid steel. They thought they would be comfortable being forty feet deep under the buildings. The lights outside were getting closer to the Pentagon and the bunker. The rest of the city was empty of people. They were the only people left in the city. They heard thunderous noises above which were getting closer. The rest of his staff was frightened and screaming. Then the roof caved in and lights penetrated the bunker like a hot knife through butter. Mice and rats started flowing through the giant hole in the ceiling. Lights started vaporizing the staff members.The president hurried to a corner but was overwhelmed by mice. They started gnawing and tearing off flesh.He could only hear himself scream because everyone else was dead or vaporized. He screamed until the mice and rats ate him to death.The mice started roaming everywhere inside the bunker. They started gnawing at the walls eventually creating giant holes in the bunker.They stayed there within the underground of the Pentagon. The lights moved to the suburbs of the city. All the cities and towns had the same fate as the capital. The lights started moving up and down the coast. The continent of North America with one of the strongest nations on the planet, was slowly bowing down to the animals of Earth and the lights of the sky. February 9,2013 Crystal Lake Illinois U.S.A. Mike’s Condo 11:00A.M.
It was a week ago that they found more food. The foursome deduced that the people in the complex were elsewhere dead. Their food was almost gone. They were eating more because they were more stressed. They were having many more incidents with the animals invading the porch area. The fireplace area was still holding up but the porch was a mess. It was serious now. There were fires everywhere outside and the animals were everywhere. The mysterious lights were near the streets and around the complex now. There were dead birds all over the porch. Jim was shooting and slashing anything that came on the porch. Half the screen was down either from the animals eating through the screen or Jim shooting through the porch. Jim was lucky to be alive. He was lucky the incidents only involved a few animals. Mike was thinking what if they come in swarms? They were all in the living room now keeping vigilant to any activity of the animals.Jim and Denny were in front by the sliding glass door next to the porch.Mike and Stephen were in back by the dining room table. Many animals congregated outside the condo complex especially outside Mike’s condo area.
Then the sky lights hit the complex across from them. It destroyed and vaporized anyone inside.The animals started charging Mike’s condo. Mice cats,birds,and any other mammals that could climb started moving towards Mike’s porch area.Hundreds of thousands of them charged the porch. The glass door was holding and birds were hitting it violently.The mice started gnawing on the board areas of the porch. Mike went to the computer room and could hear the mice gnawing through the walls gradually. “This is not good,”Mike yelled to everyone. “Keep vigilant.”Denny screamed.” We can get through this.”” I don’t see any lights in this complex,” “We can escape if we can’t hold out.”Denny was very confident.It seemed like he had the attitude it’s us or them. Jim wanted to open the door and start killing animals but he stayed there ready to strike. Stephen went to the bedroom in back to see more birds hitting the window. The window was triple sealed with glass so it would take a lot to get through. The fireplace started to fade out. Debris was starting to drop on the fire. Denny tried to get more logs on the fire and burn more. It was hopeless the debris kept coming.That meant there was something on the roof. Stephen looked at another complex to the left of Mike’s bedroom window and saw mice on the roof.”It’s mice,”Stephen yelled to Denny. Denny back away from the fireplace. There were cracks in the sliding door window.Mike knew they would eventually get through. There were too many of them. They were all in the living room again.Mice started crashing on the flames of the fireplace and mice were the first ones through the cracked glass door. Birds started entering through the bedroom window a few at a time. The mice were the big problem. Jim started slashing and shooting. “I’m gone,”Mike screamed. He went to the door to the hallway as his Dad was starting to be covered with mice. Mike opened the door to the hallway to be met with lights going through the other condos in the complex. It was loud and thunderous. Mike went back in his place. Jim was screaming as he was being eaten alive by mice. He was gone and Mike screamed his loudest scream he’d ever had in his life. The threesome backed into the corner of the dining room with their weapons in hand. Mike’s cats along with mice and squirrels were coming through the porch now.Thousand of birds were coming in through the bedroom window. The animals had them backed into a corner.”What do we do,”Stephen asked.”We pray that is what,”Mike commanded.They started to do that as they watched the animals get closer. They were all uttering words. Then a beam of light entered Mike’s condo and beamed them elsewhere. The animals swarmed through the rest of the condo and the complex.There were no people left in the complex the city of Crystal Lake, or the rest of the Chicago area. The animals mostly mammals stood vigilant in the city streets or along Lake Michigan. The lights moved on with quick precision....

The whole planet is devoid of humans. There is an armada of spaceships around the planet.The animals have overtaken all areas where humans dwelled. Some humans survived but they aren’t on the planet. The animals are back to their regular course of survival without human incident. They are flourishing on the planet where they are dwelling. A few remaining lights are over the planet.The lights are diminishing rapidly from the planet. Then the lights are gone...
Chapter 9
Mothership
The lights in the sky and space stopped.Mike started to wake up. He was seeing bright colors all around him. “Is this heaven?” he asked himself.He was very groggy and slow as he started to gain more consciousness. His vision started getting clearer as he regained his thoughts. “The last thing I remember was the lights entering the condo and then blacking out,”he reflected.He though he had died.He had those thoughts before when he had cancer twice but this was different. He started looking around as he was getting more awake.”What is this place where am I?” He couldn’t believe his eyes or ears. He was in a giant transparent cell.The cell was the size of a bedroom.It had a solid metal floor. He touched the floor it was smooth like aluminum but much heavier. The walls were all transparent and thick. He hit the
floor with his fist no noise.His fist just hurt from hitting the floor. He dare not do that again. There was too much pain. He viewed out of the cell. He got to the edge of the cell to see more clearly. Again he couldn’t believe his eyes. There were other transparent cells with other people in them. The room was huge.It was the size of a good sized high school. He could see transparent cells throughout the room. They were all on one level in this place wherever he was.They went on for the length of the room. Across from him he could see Denny and Stephen. They were 100 feet from him straight across from where he was. They were next to each other. They were still passed out or sleeping. He started to yell to them but the transparent walls were too thick. There was no communication with any other people. Mike just sat there wondering what was taking place. Down the way amongst other cells he saw some figures rustling around. He couldn’t make out what they looked like they were too far away.”At least I’m alive,”he said to himself. He wondered to himself what was going to happen. He waited.”My questions will probably be answered soon,”he said to himself. He started to see Denny and Stephen start to wake up. They were ambling around their cell slowly and they did the same things as he did when he started to wake up. They looked his way and they started to signal each other after they figured out they couldn’t talk to each other. They were confined and helpless when it came to communicating with each other. They all realized it and sat quietly in their cells. Stephen had a cute girl next to his cell so he started staring at her. She was still sleeping.Both Denny and Stephen just waited in their cells like Mike waiting for answers.Mike figured that whatever force did this would give them answers. They kept waiting.More people in the other cells were starting to wake up.They had the same look on their faces that Mike experienced when he first woke up. The expressions were of wonder and inquiry. Some people were hitting the edges of their cells with close fists.It was obvious that they didn’t like being in the cells.It didn’t help them to bang on the sides of the transparent cell. After two hours of this people started accepting that the were caged by some force and they learned to accept it for now. Most people started to relax and wait. Some people went back to sleep.There were roughly 100 cells with people in them. Some of them were too far away for Mike to calculate. Mike relaxed and went back to sleep as well. Denny and Stephen slept also.
