“But it’s okay,” he said with a grin. “Now, we get to have it good for the rest of our lives.”

I couldn’t get over all the sweet things he was saying. They shook my heart, warming me to the tips of my toes. I never wanted them to end, and wished that we could’ve stayed in Paris together longer. But soon, we’d be returning to Miami and traveling down a new road that included engagement.

“Are we going to buy a house in Miami?” I asked curiously, running a light finger down one muscled pec.

“We can get a house anywhere in the world, darling,” he replied.

“Oh, and where should we go for our honeymoon?” I giggled.

“We have to go to Tahiti, no question,” he said firmly. “The beaches are perfect, the food and drink are divine, and the beauty is unparalleled.”

“You talk like you’ve been to Tahiti! You’re making me really want to go there.”

“We can go anywhere you’d like,” Trace growled. “I just want to see you wear a grass skirt with nothing else,” he said wickedly, blue eyes flashing. “Husband’s prerogative.”

And I laughed then, excited for our future. Because this was my man, and I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Planting one last kiss on his lips, I snuggled up against that massive frame before closing my eyes for a quick catnap.

“My fiancé is perfect and divine,” was my sleepy murmur. “I’m the luckiest woman in Paris … and the world.”

  ABOUT THIS BOOK

Lexi Bradley is the editor-in-chief of a well-known women’s magazine. It’s hard enough for her to work when she has to deal with gossip around the office about how she got the job in the first place. The rumors that begin to swirl after a hot new intern comes to work for her are the ones that could potentially ruin her career.

Ryan Payne has been looking for a paid internship, and Lexi’s magazine is the only one in town that is offering one. He’s not entirely comfortable working in such a woman-dominated environment, but he’s willing to give it a shot. He becomes invested in the job when he sees Lexi in her office and sparks fly.

As it turns out, Lexi and Ryan have met before. They met on Tinder and had a wild night of passion in a hotel. Is meeting again in this situation an odd coincidence, or is it meant to be?

  Chapter 1

  Lexi

I hate using Tinder. There’s something that’s just so depressing about on-line dating. Swipe left, swipe right, and the faces start blurring together. My hopes are always high in the beginning, only to come crashing down after five minutes.

Despite that, I was hoping luck would find me late on this Sunday night. The guy that I was meeting, according to his Tinder profile, was Ryan Payne. He was supposedly twenty-six, with dark hair, azure eyes, and he liked to keep his body in good shape. I say “supposedly” because you never know if you’re getting trolled. Maybe Ryan was actually a twelve year-old boy living down the street who was pranking people for fun.

But Ryan looked like a dream on his profile at least. He was built, with solid muscles, and towered over his friends in the one group photo he’d posted. Nice. I like tall, big men … especially if they have cocky smiles.

Plus, we’d been talking frequently ever since connecting about a week ago. He was like me: a Los Angelino focused on building a career. One big reason why I’d swiped right was because he was employed by the magazine industry, just like me. However, whereas I had a stable job, Ryan was unfortunately hopping from place to place. I was a little self-conscious about our age gap—I was thirty to his twenty-six—but considering he’d been awfully flirty with me since we matched, I didn’t worry too much.

I arranged to have our Tinder date at a hotel bar in downtown L.A. Maybe we’d have some drinks, chat for a bit, and if things went well, we could get a room at the hotel for the night. I was dressed particularly sexy: a dark blouse that exposed a lot of back and cleavage, and a short dark skirt that complemented my curves.

So when Ryan turned out to be even better looking in person than in his photos, I was ecstatic. He was truly tall and handsome, and the button-up shirt and jeans emphasized that perfect masculine physique. We shook hands, he took his seat next to me at the bar, and we engaged in unimportant small talk.

After only a few minutes, I could tell that Ryan was a major playboy. This kind of date was not new to him, and he knew how to talk smoothly. To be honest, the alpha attitude worried me a little. If things went to the bedroom, would he listen to me? Or was everything going to happen his way? On the one hand, it made me nervous. On the other hand, I was titillated and wanted to find out more.

So taking a deep breath, I focused on what I knew. There was definitely an obvious, instant, intense desire going on between us. Our words meant nothing because body language did the talking for us. We couldn’t keep our eyes off each other, the contact electric. Every whisper, every word seemed to be an invitation.

In less than an hour, we paid for our drinks and headed up the elevator to Room 508.

  ***

The moment the door closed behind us, Ryan and I began to kiss furiously. He ran his hands up my skirt, and I ran my hands along his body under his shirt. His pecs were hard slabs of muscle, solid and firm. I ripped off his shirt and pants quickly and kissed every inch of him that my lips could get to. He slowly removed my blouse, tenderly but firmly caressing every part of me that he could reach.

He was the hottest guy I’d ever met on Tinder, no question. Even before I could rip off his boxers, I was craving what was hidden inside them. I was so turned on, and it was like going to a candy shop with an open purse -- I didn’t know where I wanted to begin.

Once the boxers came off, I was fully prepared to take him immediately. Instead, he pushed me onto the bed and nuzzled my pussy, making me mewl. Oh wow. No man I’d hooked up with via an app had even offered to do that for me, and here was this man doing the job with bravado and a smile.

While the alpha ate my drenched cunt, he began to lightly rub my clit with two of his fingers. I grabbed onto his head, keeping him down there, ensuring that his tongue would stay buried inside of me until the job was done.

But Ryan resisted, maintaining his control. I was so close, but he pulled away from me, slowly crawling on top.

“What are you doing?” I asked in frustration. “I was almost there.”

“I’m trying to drive you wild,” Ryan growled. “I want you to beg for it.”

My smile grew knowing. But might as well indulge.

“Please, Mister,” came my breathy pant. “Give it to me. Put it inside and make me feel good.”

Ryan grinned, flashing those bright whites. He had a nice, long cock, and it fit inside of me perfectly. He went from slow to fast, drilling me with an intensity that I hadn’t felt in a long time. He not only had an amazing tool, but knew how to use it. I’d been in this hotel room before with other men, but none of them had gotten me as turned on as this guy did.

Once he’d gotten a couple good strokes in, he pulled out and fell onto the bed beside me.

  “Ride me,” he ordered.

Although it was a command, I was okay with it. Lifting one thigh, I straddled him. Even though the sex was fast, the way that my body responded to it was even better.

His fat tip rammed against my walls just right, and with speed and determination, orgasm came quickly. I didn’t want to release right away because I loved where I was sitting, that thickness pulsing within. Plus, I was enjoying watching him relinquish control. He reached around and grabbed onto my ass as I bounced on him.

  “Pull my hair,” I ordered.

He obeyed, tugging my locks aggressively
and with enough force that I felt like he might cause serious injury. I massaged my clit while I slid up and down his hot rod, and that was what finally sent me over the edge. I came harder than I ever had in my entire life, screaming and squealing as my pussy pulsed and spasmed on that mighty pole.

That sent Ryan over the edge too. He roared, his back arching as mighty jets of cum spewed into my soaked pussy. It was so good that I felt like I might black out. Luckily, that didn’t happen, but I was close.

Finally, we came back to life, and I collapsed against the man’s chest, naked and sweaty. My big boobs smushed against that hard slab of muscle, his thickness still buried in my puffy pussy.

  “That was intense,” he growled.

  “Yeah,” I giggled. “Who knew?”

And slowly, we disentangled ourselves, staring at one another. Wow, this man was even better looking naked. Ryan was pure muscle with not an inch of fat anywhere. No dad bod for this guy.

But we were strangers, and averting our eyes carefully, we started getting dressed. I didn’t bother putting my underwear back on since my whole body tingled still.

“That was amazing,” came my shy giggle. He paused for a moment, just looking at me.

“I’ve got to ask,” said Ryan as he watched me slide my skirt back up my legs. “Since you were vague about it over Tinder, are you into BDSM?”

“Definitely,” I answered quickly. “I’m into a lot of stuff.”

I wasn’t really, but who cares? I didn’t know him so might as well sound bold and breezy.

  “Nice,” he grunted appreciatively.

“I take it you’re into BDSM, as well?” I asked.

“Damn right,” he said. “I hate that I’m going to be so busy coming up. Otherwise, I’d say we should do this again—like, now.”

I shot him a suggestive look.

“What are you busy with?” I asked.

“I start my new job tomorrow,” he said. “Have to be there at nine, and well, L.A. traffic is fucking terrible.”

“I hear you,” was my soothing reply. “Well, hit me up on Tinder. Maybe we can get something going another time.”

“Yeah, but I probably won’t have much time to meet up for at least a couple of weeks,” he continued. “I’ll let you know, okay? Sorry about the wait.”

“Oh, don’t worry about it,” was my careless reply. “I know what it’s like. We all have jobs. No big deal. Just keep me in mind.”

“No worries, sweet thing.” He laughed. “I’ll be thinking about this for a long time.

And just like that, we went our separate ways. Maybe he’d been blowing me off, with some made-up excuse about a new job and complaints about the LA traffic. Disappointing, but it was no big deal. This wasn’t anything serious, and besides, I was busy too. This is LA after all … and there were places to go.

  Chapter 2

  Ryan

I was furious with myself the next morning. Running late for my new job was not an option, and yet here I was, scrambling like a fucking maniac. What the hell? I’d been networking and making calls for weeks just to get the interview, and now it looked like I was going to be late on my first day.

It wasn’t a job exactly. It was a paid internship through a magazine company that distributed the magazine Chic-Wise, which had a predominately female readership. I’d have preferred working for a magazine or newspaper dealing with sports, but this internship was paid, whereas as the majority of the internships offered in L.A. for magazines were strictly volunteer-only. It felt weird telling my dad and my friends that I might be working for a fashion magazine, especially since I couldn’t exactly hide my own sheepishness. But everyone understood that getting a paycheck was important instead of giving away my services for free.

Fortunately, I got through the doors just in the nick of time. Christine, who’d conducted my interview, showed me around. She was a short, sweet blonde woman who tended to chirp as she spoke. We walked around the building, quickly going over the various ins and outs of the job and what I’d be doing during my time with the magazine.

Oh shit. Regret was already filling my brain even as my smile grew wider greeting folks. Because to say I felt out of place would’ve been an understatement. It was all girly shit, stuff that I didn’t know much about. Stuff like hair and make-up, plus how to eat to stay slim. That was bullshit. Girls these days are way too skinny, looking like bobbleheads on sticks.

But I didn’t mind women in the workplace at all—quite the contrary, in fact. There are lots of intelligent, talented females in LA, and these ladies also happened to be incredibly attractive. It was nice to know that during my down time, there’d be a nice view.

But there was one particular woman who kept invading my thoughts. I couldn’t get my recent Tinder date, Lexi, out my head. She’d been sassy but sweet, with just the type of body that made me want more. Curvy with huge tits and an ass that swayed to its own rhythm. I wish I could have stayed all night, but instead, we’d just done it once and then split. Fuck. Such is life.

Suddenly, Christine paused in front of a door, throwing me a wink.

“You have a rare opportunity this morning,” she chirped. “Our editor-in-chief is in today. I’ll introduce you two, and you can ask her any questions that you might have regarding the magazine. Sound good?”

I nodded, attempting to show excitement. “Let’s do it!”

Christine knocked on the door to the editor’s office.

“Yes?” came a female voice behind the door.

Christine opened the door, and my mouth fell open in shock because the editor-in-chief turned out to be none other than the woman I’d just had hot sex with less than twelve hours before. I had to look around the office to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. The plaque at the front of her desk read “Lexi Bradley.” Photos in her office showed her to be a completely normal person, and not some off-the-wall psycho. And of course, there was the woman herself.

She initially looked shocked to see me too, but quickly composed herself and stood up. Today, Lexi was truly a businesswoman, but still incredibly sexy. Her long dark hair was down, her power suit made her blue eyes pop, and I was still able to immediately go to a dirty place in my mind when I examined her body. I still couldn’t get over her perfect, round figure that housed her big, beautiful chest and beautiful bubble butt. I almost laughed, but instead managed to keep a straight face.

“Hi,” said Lexi graciously. “Ryan, is it?”

“Yes, ma’am,” I replied. I extended my hand, and she shook it, behaving as if we’d just met. “Pleased to meet you.”

“Same here,” she smiled smoothly. “I hope Christine’s been doing a good job of showing you around the place.”

“Oh, it’s been great,” was my offhand comment.

“Do you have any questions about the job?” Lexi asked. “Is there anything I can clear up for you?”

“Uh no, I don’t think so. I’m getting a good grasp of everything.”

“Good,” she said, smiling. “Christine, would you mind—I know this is beneath you—but, I didn’t have time to get my coffee—”

“No problem at all,” Christine replied.

“Ryan, would you like anything?” Lexi asked me.

  “No, thank you.”

“I’ll be right back,” Christine told us both.

Once she was gone, Lexi cleared her throat, lost in thought. I wasn’t sure how to approach the situation.

“Nice office you have here,” I said casually.

“Did you know I worked here?” Lexi asked accusingly.

  “What?” I asked, semi-offended.

She laughed. “What do you mean, ‘what’? Of all the millions of people in this town that could’ve been my intern—of all the magazines to work at—you’re here. What’s the idea? What’s the deal?”

“I really had no idea that you worked here,” was my truthful response. “I only knew that you worked at a magazine. You never told me you were the editor-in-chief.”<
br />
“So, this is just an amazing coincidence?” she asked skeptically. “The guy I just happened to hook up with last night just happens to be the new intern at my company? That’s pretty crazy, don’t you think?”

“Oh, it’s definitely crazy.” I chuckled. “I was shocked when I saw you behind the desk.”

She licked her lips, approaching me slowly, almost threateningly.

“You can’t tell anyone about us,” she said. “It can’t get out. Do you understand?”

  “Of course. No problem.”

“Not one word to anyone in this building,” she almost hissed this time. “I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea.”

  “Lexi, I won’t say a word. I swear.”

“Okay. Sorry if I seem abrasive but it’s not just to protect my job. It’s a lot more than that. My mom owns this magazine. She runs the whole operation. I have to try twice as hard over here because everyone else is always watching me.”

I was growing more anxious by the second. My nerves then did the talking for me:

“Oh, is that how you became editor-in-chief?”

Her eyes flashed fire for a moment and I immediately regretted opening my mouth. Shit, was she going to fire me now? Frankly, it was probably deserved.

“For your information, no,” she spat. “I’ve been at Chic-Wise since I was fifteen, so this isn’t some misplaced nepotism.”

Immediately, an apology came to my lips.

“Of course not,” was my growl. I’m not going to say anything to anyone,” I assured her again. “Believe me.”

  She looked somewhat appeased.

  “Okay. Good.”

I grinned, attempting to steer us toward some levity. “I guess there’s no way we’re going to continue and pick up where we left off then, huh?”

Her frown didn’t move. What a pity. We’d had an amazing time last night.
