Men With Power: Seduced by a Billionaire Page 3

by Bell, Adora

“Not that I want you to cover up. I could look at you all day long,” he whispers into my ear. He slides his hand onto my ass and I wince slightly.

“I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.”

To my surprise, I find I did. All of a sudden I'm excited about the possibilities this room might offer. Scared, yes, but definitely excited.

Evan wraps a robe from the closet around me and we head back down to his office, where I dress and try to compose myself. Down here, in the normal surroundings of the office, it's hard to believe that the secret room even exists. The last hour seems like a very erotic dream. But my mind is full of questions I barely dare ask.

“Evan-” I begin, but the sound of his phone interrupts me.

“Your taxi is here, Iris. I think it's time I got you home. Can't keep you working late on your first day, now can I?”

I smile ruefully and shake my head. Suddenly he's back in Boss mode, and I wonder if his offer was serious. Maybe this will be our first and last encounter. The thought fills me with sadness. He escorts me to the elevator, and rides back down to the lobby. The doors slide open, and I move towards them, but he reaches across and hits the close button. Before I can say anything, I'm in his arms, and he is kissing me passionately. He pulls away and looks me in the eye.

“Thank you for your company this evening, Iris. It really has been lovely getting to know you better. Until tomorrow?”

“Tomorrow,” I say, “I'll see you tomorrow.”

“Nine o'clock sharp,” he says cheerfully, and ushers me out of the elevator with a final pat on the bottom.

I am sliding into the back of the car when I get that feeling again; that weird sensation of being watched. I look up and see George exiting the building, face like thunder, eyes locked on me. Oh God, has he seen me with Evan? I'd assumed that the office was empty, but with such a huge building, I guess we should have been more careful. My first instinct is to slam the car door shut, but I know he's already seen me. He pauses on the pavement to put up his umbrella, and I lift my hand in a lame little wave. He looks me directly in the eye, and there is something in his look that I can't quite read. It makes me nervous. George gives me a curt little nod, then lifts the umbrella and marches away. I realize I've been holding my breath, and finally let it out as I sink back into the plush leather seats. My body feels drained, weak and yet entirely satisfied. Everything still feels unreal; only the slight ache between my legs convinces me that it wasn't all a dream. I push George to the back of my mind, convinced that I'm just being paranoid. He wouldn't have seen anything. He can't suspect. My phone vibrates in my pocket and I retrieve it swiftly.

  “Hi, Mum.”

“Where on earth are you? Are you still waiting for the train?”

“It was cancelled...work got me a taxi.”

“Ooh, check you out, that's rather posh. It was a good first day then?”

I can't help smiling, feeling that familiar thrill rush through me. There's something fun about having a secret.

“You could say that, Mum, yeah.”

I hang up and watch the world pass by through the tinted windows. Yes, I think to myself, I am quite looking forward to work tomorrow.
