Roy’s arms wrapped around me. Then when he let me go he shouted, “Hey, did you hear this, people? Saint is officially Jason’s son! We have a new papa in the room!”
I was hugged over and over, and had my hand shaken.
These people had become like a second family to me. This was the room where I had permission to be weak once a month, and cry once a month, and say all the words I’d never admit I even thought to anyone else.
When I went home to Rach afterwards I was stronger. This place had become the foundation stone I was building the rest of my life on, and my life was steady, not on a fault line at all. I could see as far as old age with Rach. There was not one single doubt in my head that we could make it. We were good together—nope, we are—we are good together. The best.

I wrote this story for everyone who read the first book I Found You and contacted me to ask for Jason and Rachel to have another book of their own. Thanks to everyone who loves these characters and for continuing to support them. But Jason and Rachel haven’t entirely disappeared yet, you’ll find them in some more of my contemporary stories.

I love writing authentic, passionate and emotional love stories. I began my first novel, a historical, when I was sixteen, but life derailed me a bit when I started suffering with Ankylosing Spondylitis, so I didn’t complete a novel until after I was thirty when I put it on my to do before I’m forty list. Now I love getting caught up in the lives and traumas of my characters, and I’m so thrilled to be giving my characters life in others’ imaginations, especially when readers tell me they’ve read the characters just as I’ve tried to portray them.
