“I had to take her, Michael. By trapping Charlotte in limbo, creating a lost soul that was attached to yours, I was ensuring that you would never, ever be able to forgive me. You will never be able to rest until she rests, and I will never let her into Heaven. You will forever be trapped in Hell where you can rule, where you must rule. I can see it inside you now; even as you hate me, you still love her. It is the perfect combination to be able to administer my souls: the human condition to love and hate at the same time.”
Finally, I broke my silence.
“Why didn’t you just tell me all of this the first time I came screaming into Hell? Why would you put me through further pain and suffering to come to the same end?”
He actually cracked into a smile, and licked his lips with his forked tongue.
“To give you the power to rule,” he explained. “You were weak when you first came to me. I could not have someone so weak reign over my souls. They would have ripped you apart. You had the divine power inside you, but you had to take this path to learn the power of the elements. So, I sent you on the track to meet the Perceptionist. He was the only other one who could teach you what you needed to know, while I made preparations for my final departure. You learnt the power from him and had the desire to carry out what needed to be done. However, I wanted proof that you would exercise your abilities if needed.
“I set up your second meeting with Gideon to take you to the next level. It was easy to trick him into facing you, he trusted me completely. With the power to control the soul, and the power to destroy it, you went back to Earth to your destiny. I hoped your hate would be so pure that you could bring yourself to tear a soul to pieces. I could never bring myself to do it, not even as Satan. It was the one necessity I could not carry out. There are souls down here that will never be able to enter Heaven. They will never be redeemed. These are the souls you must destroy, for they have become worthless. You will be able to take out the trash that isn’t wanted anymore.” He licked his lips again and continued.
“This path was also designed to show you the many souls that can still be saved from Hell; it taught you to love them. Souls like Smithy and Mack. They are down here because they refuse to forgive themselves for their crimes; they need to understand I forgive them because they are just human. All they need to do is accept my redemption and they will come to Heaven and into my open arms of love. ”
“There will be no forgiveness for you,” I spat. “There will be no redemption for the things you have done to me and to all of the souls down here!” I felt a surge of power from my anger and burst from his bonds that held me. I stood up enraged.
“You shall not have what you desire. Do you think I will do your bidding after what you have done to us? Do you think I will let you just go back to Heaven and sit on your throne to lap up the love of the souls I send cleansed up to you? Never!” I threw a chair that stood next to me against the wall in my fury as I screamed at God.
“I will corrupt them further. I will turn them against you and make them see why they should hate you. You may have created us, but you do not rule us, we rule ourselves. I am not afraid of you. I will destroy you!” I shouted and surged forward with a swarm of hatred around me, intending to kill Him, intending to snuff out His life force as I had snuffed out Gideon’s. I could not. He began to laugh as I threw a barrage of rage through His soul. It simply washed through Him, like water straining through a sieve. I pummeled my anger and hate into Him but it was useless.
“You cannot destroy the creator,” He bellowed. “I do not seek forgiveness from you. In fact, I count on your eternal hatred, but you will do as I say. I am the one true Elemental God who made you what you are! I know your weaknesses and I know your desires, I know all!” He shouted as He flung me sprawling across the room and held me tight again.
“I am going to my kingdom of Heaven now and I am going to leave you to yours. Do what your freewill wants you to do, I am sure it will lead you down the right path,” He said and turned his back on me, evaporating into His own shadow. I threw the fire of wrath after Him, but He was gone.
I stormed around the room in a rage, a maelstrom of hate and disgust. I battered at the walls of the room around me and punched the floors, sapping myself of all energy. Finally, I collapsed in a heap on the ground.
I was defeated.

I HAVE NOT MOVED NOW FOR A YEAR. I have sat here on the floor of this doleful room and thought of all that transpired over the course of my being. I have come, in time, to realize this: I could have done nothing to change my destiny up to this point, but I control everything I do from here on in.
I sit here in Hell and I am resolute, my body electric with motivation. I will build an army from God’s corrupted souls and turn them further against Him. I will recruit them to my cause, which will be the ultimate destruction of God.
The Perceptionist told me once that there was no such thing as an all powerful, all knowing being. It is an impossibility. I will seek out God’s weakness if it takes me all of eternity. I will destroy Him. I will have my revenge.
The true battle between God and Satan begins now, but I am the Satan, I am the adversary.
God is not pure. He is not righteous. He is flawed. The God Elemental thinks He is benevolent, that He can do no wrong simply because He has no one to answer to. Well, I will become the one who will judge God for His sins. I will make Him pay and then I will recover my love, Charlotte, from her prison in limbo.
I do not pretend to be all-knowing, or all-powerful. I am human, but I will prevail. I will destroy this brat deity and create the new world how it should be, with no suffering and no sorrow.
I will expose God for what He really is: a malevolent charlatan of the highest degree. I will conquer the universe through the power of truth, and I will do it with the help of all the lost souls in Hell.
When the time comes, will you join me?
