Chapter Three
“She’s ours.”
Alexus nodded and moved past Drayk inside their penthouse condo. “Yes.”
The single word, the acknowledgement they’d found their mate, thrilled him and scared him. He and Drayk had been best friends since they were toddlers and lovers since they’d entered adulthood. Alexus always feared they’d each find their One and have to split up.
Loving someone who wasn’t your fated mate was a broken heart waiting to happen. He and Drayk knew that going in to their relationship. When Alexus first saw Amaya in the lobby, his heart ached, almost tore in two. He knew upon the first gaze, and the first scent of her, she was his.
To his relief and joy, Drayk had the same reaction to her.
Amaya was a mate for both of them.
Drayk stepped in his way and took his hands, lacing their fingers together. Alexus stared into his lover’s ice blue eyes. Hope and excitement peered out at him. “She’s the one. Ours.”
“She is. However, she’s human. Most humans don’t accept the type of relationship we need to have.” A triad. Three hearts that beat as one. Alexus would except it no other way. He couldn’t lose Drayk or Amaya, now that he’d found her.
Drayk’s sensual lips lifted in a wicked smile. “Then we make her see it no other way. Seduce her. Pleasure her until she falls so deep, she can’t see being without us.”
Alexus laughed to hide his doubts. Humans just didn’t believe in fated mates and destiny. At least not anymore. He’d seen it too often during his time on Vega, watching humans come there for a vacation and fuck whoever crossed their path because it was safe, with no commitments. Couples used it as a means to cheat on each other with permission.
However, Amaya wasn’t there on vacation. She was applying for the Accounting Manager position that Vincent Carver insisted on creating; saying the two of them could use the extra help with the books. Although it would help Drayk more, since the male was the Director of Finance for the resorts.
Drayk’s warm, soft hand cupped Alexus’s cheek, drawing him out of his thoughts. “You have doubts.”
“I want to believe she is different.”
“She is. She was so responsive to us in the pool.” Drayk closed his eyes briefly. When he opened them, desire swirled in his gaze, making the almost white eyes a darker shade of blue.
Alexus smiled and cupped his lover’s erection. “Save that for Amaya, after dinner.”
Drayk groan and pressed his hips into Alexus’s touch. “Maybe we’ll have two desserts—one before dinner and one afterward.”
Alexus liked the way the other male thought. “As much as I love the thought of that, I suggest we take turns in letting her get to know us individually. Besides, I have to look over a few things with Val for tomorrow evening’s show.”
Drayk made a growl-like sound n his throat. “Tell him you are taken.”
A chuckle escaped from Alexus, and he shook his head. “Val has more than enough lovers to handle. I think he wants to ensure Amaya is settling all right.”
A flash of desire lit up Drayk’s blue eyes. “Tell him thank you.”
“I already have.” A smile tugged at his lips. “Go. Our mate waits for you.”
After a quick kiss, Alexus released Drayk and went to change out of his wet swim suit. They had two days to seduce Amaya into being with them for a lifetime.
A challenge he’d accepted.
* * *
Amaya changed into a red and white floral, knee-length sundress after a hot shower. Her body still hummed with bliss from what Alexus and Drayk did to her in the pool.
“What are you doing, Amaya?” She sighed then smiled.
She was living, having fun, and being reckless. Besides, the guys made her feel sexy, wanted. Something she hadn’t felt in forever.
She moved to the bed to investigate the welcome basket the staff must have dropped off while she was at the pool. She untied the red satin ribbon, which allowed the black velvet wrapping to fall open, and then she studied the contents. To her relief, a tablet was on top with a note from Vincent. No, not Vincent. Valentina. His alter-ego.
Amaya,
Your welcome package includes all the things for a successful interview and vacation. Don’t worry, though. I already put in a good word for you. I have what you would call a good sense about things. Enjoy yourself, and welcome to Angeldale Resorts.
Val
She took the tablet out of the box and plugged it in to charge. As soon as she peeked inside the bag again, a knock sounded on the door and her heartbeat kicked up several beats per second. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door. Only Drayk stood in the hallway. “Hi. Where’s Alexus?”
Drayk entered the room, his lips curving into a soft smile. “He had to attend to a few things.” He leaned in and whispered, “It’s just you and me.”
Heat flooded her system and flutters of electric pulses fired off in her core. She averted her gaze and moved to the desk to collect her purse. All the while, she felt Drayk move closer to her. When he placed his warm hands on her shoulders, she fought a groan from escaping and embarrassing herself.
She jumped when his lips touched her ear. He chuckled, the sound soft and deep. His breath brushed against her neck. “You look beautiful.”
“Th…thank you.” Oh great, she stuttered like she was in elementary again. The nerdy girl who stuttered.
Drayk slid his hands down her arms, then turned her to face him. His ice blue eyes danced with mischief. “No need to thank me for being truthful.” He extended his elbow and waited.
Amaya smiled and looped her arm through his to let him guide her to a private dining room in the back of the resort’s restaurant. Once they were seated and the drinks ordered, Amaya studied her dinner date.
His white-blond hair hung in his eyes. Her fingers itched to brush the silky strands aside. Instead of acting on her impulse, she asked, “How long have you and Alexus known each other?”
“Since we were younglings. Our mothers are best friends.” Drayk smiled then.
Good Lord. She didn’t think it was possible for him to be any more handsome than he was. Shaking off another wave of desire, she asked another question. “What do you do for a living?”
He stilled briefly and picked up his wine. After taking a sip, he answered. “I’m a bookkeeper.”
Amaya frowned and sat back in her chair. Was he there to interview for the Accounting Manager spot? And she’d slept with her competition? “Oh. So am I.”
He smiled and something she didn’t recognize crossed his features. She pushed it away. Reaching for her wine, she scanned the quiet dining room. When her gaze landed on the French doors, Drayk asked, “Would you like them open? It’s a lovely night out.”
“That sounds nice.”
He stood and she couldn’t help but admire how fit and gorgeous he was in his black slacks and white button down shirt. He didn’t wear a jacket or a tie. The top two buttons of his shirt were left undone, exposing the pale, prefect skin of his chest.
Heat rose in her cheeks, and she had to look away from him. What was wrong with her? She hadn’t had a reaction to anyone like him and Alexus before. In fact, she’d given up on relationships all together. They were too complicated and took away her focus from her career and her own happiness.
“What has stolen you away?”
Huh? She snapped out of her thoughts and met his gaze. “Oh. Nothing. I’m just tired. It’s been a long trip and an interesting evening.”
A sheepish smile lifted his sensual lips. “It has. We could take our meal to your room.”
There was a sultry, sensual tone in his words that made her ache for his touch. Good grief, she was in trouble. A girl could get used to being wanted…
She sighed. “It’s not too late? I mean we already ordered.”
“It’s not a problem.” He gave her another infectious smile, stood, and kissed her on the lips, lingeri
ng for a several long moments before turning the exit the room.
Amaya touched her lips with her fingertips. They tingled and she missed the connection.
After a little while, he returned and held out his hand. “They will send it up when it's ready.”
Placing her hand in his, she smiled while her belly filled with butterflies. Her insides hummed with the promise of being alone with him in her room. What did that make her? Did she care?
No. She was an adult. Single and free to enjoy life. Human stereotypes and labels be damned!
Chapter Four
Drayk had been impossibly hard since picking up the beautifully shy Amaya for dinner. When she agreed to go back to her room, excitement filled him. He’d have her to himself for a little while before Alexus was finished with business and hunted them down.
Waiting for Amaya to unlock her door, he watched her delicate fingers slide the keycard into the lock. Once inside the room, he removed her purse and dropped it onto a nearby chair. She turned to meet his stare, curiosity clouding her features. Her green eyes held his then widened when he pressed their bodies together with his arm around her waist.
He captured her mouth in a raw, unforgiving kiss. She moaned and melted into him, threading her fingers in his hair. Pleasure arched off each nerve ending and his cock filled.
This female definitely belonged to him and Alexus. He was going to show her just how much. Gliding his hands to her ass, he gathered her dress up as he walked her backwards toward the bed.
Once the backs of her legs touched the bed, she fell to sit. She let out a soft giggle that sent a ripple of need straight to his cock. He pulled her dress over her head and tossed it on the floor. With a growl, he commanded, “Get up on the bed.”
She sucked in her bottom lip and did as he told. He undressed then crawled on the bed, settling between her thighs with his cock at her entrance. They locked glazes and her green eyes darkened, begging him to claim her. Or that might be his wishful thinking.
She raked her nails up is side, creating a fiery trail of pleasure. When she reached his face and cupped the back of his head, she pulled him down to kiss her. Unable to control the need, he thrust inside her body as their lips met. They groaned in unison and moved together as if they’d known each other all their lives—knew all the right moves and pleasure points.
Picking up his tempo, he watched her. She was beautiful when she came undone. Her pants and moans excited him all the more. “So beautiful.”
She lifted her hips to take him deeper inside. “Don’t stop. Never want to let go.”
His brain didn’t register the promise she made, and he slammed into her over and over until they screamed out their release. Drayk crumbled on the bed next to her and wrapped an arm and a leg around her. He kissed her temple and loved the way she cuddled into him.
A moment later, he heard the door open and smelled Alexus’s scent as he moved further into the room. Amaya held her hand up in the air and sleepily said, “Alex.”
Drayk shared a surprised look with Alexus as he removed his clothes and crawled in bed behind Amaya. How did she know it was Alex?
Alex shoved Drayk’s leg off their female and Drayk laughed. Fire lit up Alexus’s eyes when Amaya reached for him. A low rumbled growl came from the male as he kissed her. Drayk hardened again at the sight. So hot. His mates were beautiful together.
Drayk watched as Alexus gripped Amaya’s hip and lifted her bottom up to gain better access. Amaya moved her hips in slow, seductive movements as Alexus pushed inside her. She gasped then moaned. Her eyes opened and held Drayk’s. At first they seemed to question if what they were doing was okay. When he kissed her, she relaxed and gripped his cock in her hand.
Fuck. It felt too good to have her touch him.
She stroked him in time with Alexus’s thrusts. Pinpricks of desire and need raced over his skin and through his veins.
Sensations and emotions swirled inside him. Amaya had to stay with them. He’d follow her to earth if had to. She was his…theirs.
She screamed out both their names as she shuddered in an orgasm. He and Alexus followed her over the edge.
Chapter Five
Amaya woke enveloped in warmth. Her body seemed to vibrate like some kind of electric current flowed through her. When she opened her eyes, she smiled. Her guys were there.
Her guys?
When did she claim them?
Sadness rose. She was falling too fast. If she didn’t get the job, she’d have to go home and try to continue her pathetic life on Earth. These men had their own homes and lives.
She eased out from between them, but Alexus reached out and grabbed her hand. She smiled at the sight, hope once again blooming. Maybe she could go with them, wherever that was, if they’d have her.
Leaning over him, she kissed his cheek. “I’ll be back.”
He mumbled something not in English but released her. She escaped to the bathroom.
Closed inside the bathroom, she looked at herself in the mirror. Naked and pleasured. A giggle escaped her. She turned to the shower and the ache between her thighs returned. There was no way she could want sex again. They made love so many times during the night, she’d lost count.
She placed her hands on the bathroom counter and breathed. What was wrong her? It was bad enough to lust after the two of them when they were close to her, but to physically ache at the thought of them?
Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself away from the counter and exited the bathroom. She stumbled to the bed and shook the guys awake, trying to ignore the lust rising within her. “What did you do to me?”
The guys glanced to each other and frowned. Alexus sat up. Drayk’s brows rose and his lips tugged into a smirk. “We did a lot things to you and plan to do much more.”
Her insides came alive at the promise in his words. Ugh! It was too hard to think clearly with them here. She planted her feet in place. “That’s what I’m talking about. I’ve never been a very sexual person. At least not to the extent that I’d have sex with two unknown men in a public pool in daylight and then all through the night! And I want you again.”
The last word was said on a whisper, and she averted her gaze from them.
Movement from the bed caught her attention. Drayk stretched, then patted the bed. “Come here.”
“No.” She shook her head even though her body begged her to go.
Drayk rolled to his back and stared at the ceiling. “Alex.”
A soft sigh came from him as he stood, pulled on his pants and sat at the table. “Drayk and I have been together all our lives. We were best friends who grew to love each other. We’d always feared that our true mates would come along, and we’d have to part ways. Well, in the sexual sense. Even where we come from, cheating is unacceptable. But it’s common to have a more than one mate. Many of our people live in multiple partner relationships.”
Amaya stared at him, confusion mixing with a hint of awareness. She’d heard about couples on Earth living in open relationships with three or more people being in one relationship. However, they didn’t make it public knowledge.
With all the advancements and improvements, as well as failures over the centuries, the human race couldn’t get past their own prejudices.
Yet, what did that have to do with the three of them? Unless they were saying they didn’t want a third? “So the two of you are in love. Does that mean I’m just a fling because you’re what? Bored?”
It came out bitchier than she intended. But up until that moment, she didn’t realize she wanted to be with them for more than sex. She wanted to be friends and possibly more… She turned away from them so they wouldn’t see the tears filling her eyes. Large arms snaked around her waist.
Alexus kissed her temple. “No. Please, don’t ever think that again.”
His words held a note of sorrow, confusing her even more. “Then what are you saying?”
“You are both of ours, fa
ted mate. You belong with us…if you will have us.”
She went still. Fated mate? That triggered something she’d read about Craygins’ mating traditions. They believed they had a fated mate, the one they were made for.
And these two gorgeous men believed she was theirs? What did that mean, exactly? She wasn’t sure if it could work long-term. “I…um…don’t know either of you.”
Yet she wanted them both more than she’d ever wanted anyone.
Alexus moved his hands to her shoulders and gently turned her to face him. His green eyes seem to have more gold flakes than when she first met them. After a moment, he stepped back and held out his hand. “Hello, I’m Alexus, Managing Director of Angeldale Resorts.”
She gasped, covered her mouth with her hands and stepped back. Shaking her head, she couldn’t believe she slept with her future boss. Well, he wouldn’t be her boss anymore. “I guess I blew the job interview by sleeping the boss.”
“He…” Alexus pointed to Drayk laying on his side on her bed wearing a sexy, wicked smile. “Is your boss. I’m his boss.”
Without a word, she moved to the closet and pulled out her suitcase. She’d never get the job now. Even if she did, what would everyone think? That she’d slept her way to the position?
No. It was better for her to just leave.
“What are you doing?” the guys asked at the same time. Drayk jumped off the bed and stalked to her.
“I should have known who you were. I was careless and weak and slept with both of you.”
They glanced at each other, confusion making their brows draw together. “Why?” Drayk asked.
“Because I’m not going to be the girl who slept with the bosses to get a job.” She rolled her suitcase toward the bed, but didn’t make it.
Alexus grabbed it from her. “First off, humans have strange rules and are too judgmental. Second, there is no judgment here. Third, you are our mate. You belong here. No one will think twice at you working under one or both of us.”
